Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio, No Baby, Good Morning Football, presented by
Old trap of the best jerky in the game, the
best show in the game, the best twosome there in
Los Angeles in the game. It is Monday, November seventeenth.
This is when the football gets real. I'm Kyle Brandt.
I'm in New York City. That is Manti Tale. That

(00:25):
is Isaac raschelle Man, Ti Isaac. How we feel in
We're doing a great brother.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
It's early morning, but we're geeked up for this, for
this Monday, Man.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
A lot of highlights, a lot of things to get to.
We're so excited to be here. Bro. All Right, we're
gonna do the Lions Eagles, and then I'm gonna put
you guys on the spot right after the Lions Eagles
highlight in one team that is just very interesting to
you on a Monday morning. Let's start the show. It's
called Good Morning Football. Let's do it. Welcome to Good

(00:57):
Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper. All Right, the Eagles
are thirteen and five in prime time since twenty twenty two,
worth best in the NFL. But the Lions are the
best in the NFL. Thirteen and two. Jared Goff does
not lose in primetime, but it's scoreless early. He's gonna
do oh no, oh, no, Jared, that's Cooper dejen Is
he gonna pick this thing to the house. No. Jordan

(01:18):
Davis had three batted passes in the single game. Jared
Goff only is fourth intercepting on the ear. We're pushing
and we're pushing, and we're scoring endangered species like the
passenger pigeon, the touch push. But it works there. Thirteen
to six field up and a fourth and goal. Dan
Campbell's just doing it all last night. I feel like
he went on fourth down twenty times and he got

(01:38):
none of them. It wasn't twenty, but it felt like
it was actually five and he got none of them.
Sixteen to nine. The Eagles are eight and two. Guys,
I promised it, I'm gonna deliver it. It is Monday.
We just got to play with all our toys over
the weekend. Isasagain, man, Tye, tell me right now, one
team that is fascinating to you on this Monday morning
in mid November, okayb.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I gotta go Carolina Panthers. They are on the three
game win streak. They're second at NFC South right now.
They just beat that Atlanta Falcons. Bryce Young just sets
some records yesterday. I gotta go with the Carolina Panthers.
I think they're They're the most interesting team to me,
so watch out for them.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
About you, Isaac, this is so boring because we didn't
discuss this before. I'm also going with Bryce Young and
the Boys.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh I have to no, Isaac backing another one?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Break another one? Okay, pick another one. I've had any team,
I'm gonna go Chicago Bears. Sorry, Kyle, that was probably
your team.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
But here's the deal.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Kles Williams looks good. I'm inspired by Ben Johnson. I
was excited about him before the season, and seeing now
this team kind of like fall into who they are.
Are we getting some culture? Are we starting to feel
good about the Bears? Kyle, as you would say, are
they a team that you can't count out at the
end of the games. Maybe I'm excited about him. It's
a great segue. My team would be the Chiefs. We
talked about him already. They're five hundred right now, they're

(02:53):
five and five. They just lost again, and these are
strange times. Feels like end of times. But Isaac, you
brought us right to the highlight. Bears Vikings. We played this.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Week one on Monday Night football, JJ McCarthy and Soldier
field one against Caleb and Ben Johnson's debut. But a
lot has changed since then. Specifically, the Bears have won
six of their last seven. JJ not playing well in
this one. But at the end of the game, No,
this is still the second quarter, thirty five seconds. We'll
get to the end of the game. That's the Sean
Wright the Bears fifteenth interception. Guys, the Bears lead the

(03:22):
NFL in interceptions. They are one of thirty two. Koc
can't believe it, but at this point maybe he can.
Third quarter now, sixteen to three at home? What are
we doing? Non complete looking for Justin Jefferson and Justin
Jeffson one of the happy, go lucky guys in the
league is having tough times right now. He's obviously frust
He had five catches on nine targets for sixty one

(03:43):
forgettable yards. Fourth quarter. Now they have three points in
the fourth quarter of a home game in a division rival.
So you give it to Jordan Mason. Sixteen yard touchdown.
Run all right, the Vikings are cooking. Sixteen to ten.
Next Bears drive fourth and three. Cairo Santos has been
rock solid, but not here. Hooks it left, opening the
door for the Vikings. You're down six. They're skull clapping.

(04:05):
For the love of God, let's get some offense going koc.
Fourth quarter, after both teams exchanged upon less than a
minutes ago, jj end zone touchdown Jordan Addison for look
at that clock, folks, just under a minute left. And
this is what the Bears do. Vikings kickoff, just make
a tackle, make it tackle. The Bears got all their

(04:27):
time out for is less than a minute. Devin Dubernet says,
not today. I thought he was gonna hops this thing
right in their faces. He doesn't. But it's a fifty
s kick return. And look at O'Connell, are you bleeping
kidding me? It's the one thing you couldn't do that
is give up a big kick return. They did it.
Santo's redemption splits the uprights. The Chicago Bears in the

(04:49):
year twenty twenty five, are in first place. They're seven
and three. They haven't been seven and three through ten
games in seven years. They win every week, and yet
are they good? I don't tell you what. Let's go
afterwards to Caleb Williams, the franchise quarterback, after guess what,

(05:11):
another win? Something that I've spoken about before.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Living in the know, it doesn't matter win, it doesn't
matter how, it doesn't matter who, it doesn't We got
the guys, we got the coaches. We live in the known,
and so when our moment comes, when their moment comes,
whoever it is on the team will.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Make the play.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
And so, like I said, we gotta we gotta get
better throughout the game. But you know, when it, when
it comes down to it, we know we're gonna make
the plays at the right moment the right time, and
we're gonna, you know, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
go win the game.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
All right. Let's take a look, Caleb. The Eagles are
the one right now. They win, the Rams win two,
they're eight and two. But look at that the Bears
at seven and three Reber. They lost to the Vikings
week one, they got destroyed by Detroit. The next week.
All they've done then is go seven and one with
Detroit losing. The Packers there with their three digit disgusting

(06:05):
record are there at the six They're also in and
the Vikings are now floundering at the bottom of the
lurking column. But the Bears, Bears, Bears, with a lot
of tough games coming up, including Black Friday at Philadelphia.
They win their fifth game straight. It's one of the
most interesting teams the league. Guys that you started the
hour with this, just put your finger on it. How
do the Bears feel? What do you make of the

(06:26):
twenty twenty five Bears who will get Manti it says
on the bottom of the screen are seven and three.
You know, whatever you want to do with that.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Well, when I look at these guys, the Bears, they're
finding ways to win late in the game. Now, I've
always been critical about Caleb Williams and his scrambling. The
guy's Houdini, Like, I don't know how many times this
guy can just get away, like out of circumstances where
he should be on the ground. Yet he continues to
find ways six ten plays and get the ball down

(06:55):
the field. But I texted you this KB to have
Kyle Manungai and deanre Swift. Now Ben Johnson has this
sonic and knuckles thing that he had over there in Detroit.
Kyle m Nunguy is that in between the tackles runner
and when he runs in between the tackles, this kid
runs angry. And he saw yesterday and the goal in
the low red zone, the way that he just come
downtill and he just punishes defenders. Then you got DeAndre Swift.

(07:18):
He's he's a Swiss Arma knife. He's a guy that's
in the passing game. He's guys that he's outside the tackles.
But then again, the game came down to a kickoff.
Devin Duberne gets the ball, gets him into a field
goal range, and they win the game that way. Last
week it was Caleb Williams doing the late game heroics.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
They're finding ways to win the game.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
They're taking the ball away even though the defense isn't
playing to the caliber that we need them to play
for sustained success. I can't help but think that the
Chicago Bears and Ben Johnson has established a culture of
finding ways to win late in the game.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Iak.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, it's just crazy because I would have never thought
even seven weeks ago that we'd be talking about the
Chicago Bears team and culture, and like you know this
team is becoming a solidified team that we can actually trust.
Now that being said, the last few games, it's not
like they've been playing you know, unbelievable teams and these
crazy offenses. Crazy to even I still feel like there

(08:11):
is more to see with this team. There's more testing
to be done. But I will say this, the mark
of greatness and a lot of great NFL teams is
winning at the end of the game, when when you're
watching it and you're like, you know, they just found
a way. You know, we saw it last year with
the Chiefs. They've had game after game where it's like, well,
they just keep finding where are they really that good?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, they are that good.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
That's what teams do who are performing the way they should. Also,
you mentioned it Ben Johnson. I look back at the
Lions right the last few years under Ben Johnson as
the OC and the culture that he was instilling there,
the bite the knees culture. I know that's Dan Campbell,
but comes from Ben Johnson a little bit too. And
then you look at now the Bears and the cultures

(08:49):
that they're creating. You have to look at Ben Johnson
and be proud of what he's doing.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
In this team.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
So I feel like the most exciting thing is just
the culture that we can start to hang our hat
on with this team.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
You're one hundred percent right. I'm starting to really enjoy
this Bears team because they have a lot of flaws,
a lot, but they also have something that every team
wants and even some really good teams don't have. This
Bears team has an identity. They have it, they have
found it, they have molded it. The identity is keep
it close, have a lot of takeaways on defense, be

(09:23):
in a close game at the fourth quarter, and they
will win. It's what they do. You know what, I
knew they were going to win this game. I knew
it is the second ironically, JJ McCarthy threw a touchdown
pass to Jordanatis and I said, the game's over because
there was fifty seconds left. And you know what, the
second they scored that. I've said this five times this year.
Oh they scored too fast. They left too much time
on the clock. The Bears are the too much time team.

(09:45):
You cannot leave too much time for the Bears because
they will beat you at the end. I've learned this.
All of us here in the show are learning this.
I'm hoping the audience is learning this, but I'll tell
you what a lot of Bears fans not learning this.
And in a tradition that is now continuing on a
Monday morning, we do a Bears fan tweet round up
and clean enough of Bears tweets. Here we go. Aaron

(10:07):
mays Chicago Bears up sixteen to three with eleven minutes
left in the game, and they are going to lose again.
Guess what, Aaron, They won again, seven and three. Next,
you're out of here next week, please, Bernie, Bear's really
about to lose to the Vikings twice? Lolol, Well, Bernie,
they're seven and three. They won the game. Next, get

(10:29):
him out of here, King Rat. I'll say Bear's gonna
double doint to lose it. Calling it now, King Rat,
get out of here. Cairo Santos split the upright and
wasn't even a single doin. Get him out of here,
Bears seven and three, King Rat? How dare you? Matthew
Long Junior. He's got a suit and tie on in

(10:50):
his picture. He looks like a businessman. Ben Johnson called
conservative plays not to lose. Santo's sucks. The receivers have
no hands the defense collapse, hashtag Bears, hashtag seven and three.
Matthew long junior, Matthew Long's senior will be disappointed. And
if you're a lack of foresight, lack of trust in
the Chicago Bears, the Bears keep on winning and hopefully

(11:10):
their fans keep on learning. Because here's the most important thing,
my friends. As the Bears fans are still surprised that
they win at the end or still don't see that coming,
I'm gonna take you, not yet. I'm going to take
you to the game winning kick in which the face
of the franchise is sitting on the bench watching Cairo Santos,
who had missed his last kick in the dome amidst
the skull collapse. And I want you to see how

(11:32):
surprised Caleb Williams looks that Cairo Santos makes this kick
go ahead, roll it does. Caleb Williams face look surprised
as this ball goes through, not for a damn second.
That dude doesn't flinch, His eyebrows don't move a millimeter.
There's no smirk, there's no relief, there's no shock, there's

(11:53):
no awe. That's a businessman doing business and his business
is winning every single week and then having to hear
afterwards that well the Vikings and you needed a lot
of saying field goal. Yeah. I kept peering that every
single week. I keep peering that every team they play
is terrible and they eventually get caught up with the Bears.
And if they beat the Steelers next year, it's the
next week, it's gonna be like, well, Rogers wasn't right,

(12:15):
all right? All right? Their first place in the North.
That says seven to three. And I just hope, I hope.
If you're not listening to me, Bears fans, listen from
Caleb Williams and watch open your eyes because he sits there.
Oh long, kicked it in the game. Yep, you made it.
Let's go, Let's get on the bus. That's what this
Bears team is all about. Start paying attention.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
Well, if you continue to play that clip, as Caleb
Williams is crossing the field to go shake hands, he
actually shakes his head like this, which is the thing
that's scary about the Chicago Bears team, especially with Caleb Williams, because.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
When he shook his head, all I got from that
was this is not enough. This is not enough. It's
not enough for us to win this way. It's not
enough for us to come down and have to depend
on Devin Duberney to get us in field goal position
and to be able to squeak out these There's a
shake right there.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
It's like, not good enough. It's not good enough for
us to win.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
We need to win with with with some fortitwo.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
We need to win in style.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
And that's what so scary about this Bears team. Isaac asked,
what are we getting? The thing is, we don't know yet.
And that's a beautiful thing if you're a Bears fan.
So stop tweeting out in the fourth quarter, because this
team has showed you already that doesn't matter until that
clock strike zero.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
They are still in play.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'm just picturing, and I said this when I was
on a few weeks ago. I'm picturing Kobe just sitting
there going, job's not finished. Yeah, finish, yeah, walking off
the field shaking his head. Job's not finished. They're gonna
interview me and ask me all these questions. Oh my god,
win streak, job's not finished.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I'm hyper by this team. Let's go. Kyle's converting me.
I'm a Bears fan. Whatever, bear down. You gotta watch
the Bears every week. They are fun. They have one
games with nineteen points and with forty seven points in
this same win streak. They win different ways and it's
always late. But let's get to two teams that really
matter as well. Buck's in the NFC, Bills in the AFC.

(13:59):
But they get together. It's Baker and Joss. It's the
same draft class, their golf buddies with this to suit
their personalities. It's Surewood. Lots of scoring, lots of back
and forth, Tampa up ten to seven early on the
third and three. Allen's gonna do classic Josh Allen. He
finds Tyrell Shaver's downfield. Tyrel out there because Keon Coleman
was a healthy scratch. Sewn McDermot said, at some point,

(14:20):
I gotta do something. I gotta sit a guy down.
I'm paraphrasing, but key On the Coleman, their first round
draft pick was not in the game. This guy was.
Do you see Sean Tucker yesterday? I mean it was
this guy. Both Jackson, he was incredible. The pill Stephens
could do nothing about Sean Tucker, third year guy out
of sarahcuse, syrahcuse played in Upstate New York. But Ty Johnson,

(14:41):
one of Josh Allen's the most lethal loyal weapons, the
TYD Johnson every once in a while put you to
sleep and make a huge play. Bill's take a twenty
one to seventeen lead. Allen's third total touchdown of the game.
He's just getting warmed up. Fourth quarter, Now Bucks down
five Baker Mayfield. Guess who he hits, Sean Tucker, who
looks like Marshall fock In weftern New York. Twenty eight

(15:02):
yard touchdown for Tucker. Baker's feeling it. He finished sixteen
to twenty eight, one to seventy three, pretty modest numbers,
but the Bucks ran the ball so well. Look at
the heal even staying up. Sean Tucker stays in bounds
thirty two to thirty one person goal. Josh, that's a
walk in by his standards. Five yard rushing touchdown, failed
two point conversion. Another one looks like the same play.

(15:24):
I promise you it's not. They push him in nine
yard touchdown. All kinds of excitement. Josh Allen three rushing touchdowns,
three passing touchdowns, player of mass destruction, and there it is.
The Bills put up forty four points on a sleeping
November Sunday against a good Tampa team to win forty

(15:48):
four to thirty two. It's an incredible, incredible display by Allen.
Then he gets his helmet stuck on, gave Davis even
the helmets were working. Forty four to thirty two. Like
I said, hell of a final score, seventy six points
of entertainment afterwards, both quarterbacks. Let's hear from him starting
with the victorious, reigning MVP number seventeen.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
We just got to do a good job again, not
riding the wave, trying to stay as as level as possible.
I'm not getting too high and not getting too low,
you know, you know, starting off four and oh and
we're the best team in the world, we lose too
in a row, when now we're the worst team in
the world, and it's like we don't want to ride that.
We just want to stay here, stay consistent, continue to
work hard, put together game plans to go out their
next two do on game days.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
We've got to make the plays when they're there. You know,
We've been in a situation like this before earlier in
the year against Seattle where we had to score more
points and we did so look back on it. We
ran the ball well, but in the past game I
got to be better. It just got to leave those
guys better when we need it, and we needed.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
It today they did and they didn't get it, and
they didn't get the win. But here we go. So
denverbe's case, they're number one. Playoffs start today, but they don't.
They'd have a buy at home field. The Patriots with
the same record at the two the game we just
watched Buffalo and now would be a wild card because
what the Patriots are doing there in the five, seven
and three. And then over on the right, we still

(17:03):
have that lurking section with the Ravens and the Chiefs
and the Texans we all thought would do big things
this year. So they got a lot of work to do. Guys,
all right, So let's talk Bills for a second. Take
this game wherever you want. Remember last week the Bills
looked horrible. They looked horrible against the Dolphins team that
we've kind of left behind, and then of course they
go home, they put up forty four points. Josh Allen
does his thing. What stood out in this one mat time? Yeah,

(17:26):
Josh Allen definitely did his thing.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
He was credited with six total touchdowns, three via the
air and three on the ground.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
But you mentioned it KB last week.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Didn't look good and there was a lot of talks
about Joe Brady and dolphinsive coordinator and you know, you
could do so much better. What's the question about this
offensive coordinator? But there are so many plays that I
watched yesterday. There was that slip screen that we showed
in the highlight to Ty Johnson, there was another one
to James Cook, and then these runs, these quarterback design
runs where you let the former MVP do what the

(17:55):
former MVP does and.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Use his legs.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
That was scripted by Joe Brady, and it was so
good to see guys like Josh Allen get into that zone,
to get into that groove again, to see this right,
it's the week eleven like, and we haven't seen Josh
Allen that happy and that passionate about the game and
soul and so long. So hats off to Joe Brady,
Hats off to Josh Allen because I thought those two
together put together an amazing performance for the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Have you seen were you a Game of Thrones guy?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
By the way, no, okay, So Gama, Kyle, you were
You're a TV buff so you.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Know this winter is value. You know that line winter
is coming. I do know that line.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
It is cold and football is back in Buffalo. Kyle
Allen has been through this roller coaster. He just talked
about it. You know they've dominated the beginning. Oh, this
is the MVP. Then he then where's where's he at?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
They're back?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
The winter is coming. Josh Allen is a beast. I'm
excited continue to watch him play. And the play that
really is in my mind that I can't get out
is this play right here, second quarter? What is he
gonna do? Who am I gonna throw to? Is Josh
Allen gonna make a play there? It is shavers deep.
This is exactly the Josh Allen that people are excited about,
that Bills fans get behind, that they break tables for.

(19:03):
I think this is a moment that we will look
back this touchdown right here and say.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Okay, that's when I figured it out. That's when I
figured out there was quote outside and it's time to ball.
All white uniforms.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
I see this team's exciting to watch right now.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, the all whites. They look like the White Walker's eyes, Like,
I mean, it's right there. I mean it's yeah, you
said Game of Thrones, I'll say Superman. I saw the
most recent Superman movie, the one that everyone seemed to like.
And what's weird about the Superman movie that came out
is Superman spends most of the movie getting beaten up
really bad. It's kind of annoying. After a while, they're
just beating the snot out of Superman. And then at
the end of it, he rises up over Metropolis and

(19:39):
does his like laser eyes and does this beautiful three
six into the just melts everyone and destroys all the enemies.
That was Josh Allen yesterday. I still think when he's
at the height of his powers and he has one
of those games, he's the most dominant player in the
entire NFL. Like his A plus game is better than
anybody else's A plus game. And this was it. It
was an incredible it was a full laser vision blast

(20:00):
from Josh Allen. We're gonna talk a lot about Josh
this week because remember they're on the Thursday night or
at Houston this week. And there it is when you
do three and three once in a career. It's like, Wow,
what an amazing thing. He's done it multiple times. And
when we're putting up Otto Graham, damn name in nineteen
fifty four, you know somebody did something special. I don't
want to scratch the record here, but he better do

(20:20):
this a lot. I keep using the score. This Bills
team is heavily flawed. I think Bills fans know this
is not a great team, even by in the Josh
Allen era. This is not one of their best teams.
They could not tackle yesterday. They gave up thirty two
points to the Buccaneers. We all know, guy like this
is going to come down to a couple January Sundays
or Saturdays when like what happens when Josh isn't great.

(20:43):
They can't afford for him not to be great. They
can't even afford for him to be good. Like when
he's good, they're gonna lose. He has to be great
because I don't love the defense. I don't love the
supporting cast outside of maybe a couple of guys. I
think Bills fans know what time it is, and I
just think it's this thing where it's like he's gonna
have to play like three or four incredible playoff games,
and if he plays three great ones and one a

(21:05):
good one, like they're gonna lose that. It's just that's
where we're at. I've made my bed with the Bills
that the roster's not getting better. There's not gonna be
these crazy superheroes start to emerge that are going to
make a massive play in January. They're flawed, they're good,
they're seven and three, but they're probably not going to
have a buy or anything like that. And I just think, like, great,
he was awesome yesterday in November against Tampa. He has

(21:28):
to be awesome for about five weeks in a row
for this team to get it done. And I just
buckle up and see if he can do laser vision
when he really needs to. That's it, guys. We got
to bump because we are going to a very weird
Ravens Browns game. Derek Henry broke off a big run here,
Lamar didn't look as best. Shadour came in. It was

(21:48):
quite a piece of work. This game was ugly but
had a lot of conversation points and it's a lot
of takeaways and also what do we make of Baltimore?
They won again, Are they going to possibly crash this party?
What else? Man? Well, you know why I had this
boat in my hand. The Chiefs went and coming up
on our show.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
We have a good friend, Dave's the boot man is
coming on here.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
We're going to talk about the Broncos. We're gonna talk
about how excited what he was because we had this
contract a bunch of boots.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
I think that's the whole reason why the Broncos run
the game.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
Let's go Boman, stay tuned, baby, We've got more coming away,
and JIMFB let's go mooning.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Football, all right. The Ravens at the ten after a win,
they're at the ten. The strangest thing is right below
the Chiefs, and then also the Texans. That lurking column
that needs to be putting in Canton or something is
the weirdest lurking column in twenty twenty five. All those
teams have so much work to do. You know about
the good teams? Number three right there, the Culture on
a by eight and two. They will play at Arrowhead

(22:55):
against the Chiefs next week. But since we just did
the highlight and Baltimore won a very ugly game against
the Browns, the Ravens obviously very intriguing. Lamar did not
play particularly well yesterday by his standards at all, but
they did win again. Guys, we've called the Baltimore Ravens
a possible come running team. At the end, they are winning.
How are you feeling about it?

Speaker 3 (23:15):
I kind of feel good about the Ravens. I mean,
my question with the Ravens really this whole year, other
than the offensive issues that they've had, is who is
this defense going to be? This defense has given up
a lot of points, has not been overly productive. If
you look at their d line production, it's not screaming
at you. It could be a lot better. Now they're
in a relatively nice place. We talked about it off air.
I don't like being the schedule guy, but they have

(23:37):
an opportunity moving forward with the schedule that they have.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
It's how productive can they be? Who is Lamar gonna be? Also?

Speaker 3 (23:43):
One other thing to note, this team did lose two
early games in the season due to fumbles and late
game mistakes. We could be talking about a totally different
ball team if that wasn't the case. So I'm excited
about this team. I think they have a chance to
separate themselves a little bit.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Yeah, I'm not too I don't feel too good about
the offense and how they how they've been playing lately.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
I do feel good about the defense. We didicted that
this is what they were going to do late in
the season.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
But to their benefit their season, the remaining schedule allows
this offense to kind of get their tread a little bit.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
They are too and on a division that's the main thing.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
The next the next six games, they have four or
six or seven games, four of them are divisional opponents.
They play the Steelers twice and they play the Bengals twice.
That is why I'm liking these these Ravens. I'm liking
that the defense is playing very very well. The offense
has time to get better. Lamar jacksons he's still i
think three games since his injury, so I'm giving him

(24:38):
the benefit of doubt that he has to get warmed
up a little bit. But the offense has to get
it together in order for them to have that push.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
I put it this way, it's a fun story. It's
a tasty thing that the Ravens will come tearing down
the stretch and like Isaac's saying, you do the game
where you look at the schedule, the Bengals Jets like
maybe it could happen five and five, right, they to
give themselves a shot. I think they got to be
ten and seven, so they got to go five and
two down the stretch. Five and two. We can't even
talk about it if Lamar is not going to play
out of his mind like yes by Lamar's amazing standards

(25:06):
was a poor game. You don't really see Lamar play
any worse than that. Two picks just wasn't really doing
much like that. We can't have that. If Lamar is
gonna play even average, it's it's not gonna happen. Lamar's
got to do like I mean, he's not gonna have
six touchdowns a game, but he's got to basically do
a Josh Allen thing like he did yesterday. He has
to say I'm going superhero mode. I want this team
in the playoffs this year because they're pretty good, Like

(25:26):
they have great players and they're playing much better, but
they just when you're so bad with the win losses
the beginning of the season, you make it almost impossible.
That's why constantly in September I'm like just stack Wins,
who cares what the score is. They didn't stack squad well,
they stacked it, but I can't say what they stacked
on the air. Lamar's got to find a way and
just say I'm gonna find my gear where I'm gonna say,
I'm gonna go nuts here, I'm gonna have four touchdowns

(25:48):
a game. I'm gonna play MVP ball and then we'll
talk about it. I'm left this game saying, oh, that
come running thing from the Ravens probably isn't gonna happen
just because they just didn't look good. I'll call it
what it is. They didn't well too. It's a very
intriguing storyline. So watch Lamar next week and to see
if he can absolutely go nuke, because if you can't,
like it's just too tall of a task. But a
lot of the conversation points depend on the editorial where

(26:10):
you are as a show, as a fan, or about
the Browns quarterback. Yesterday, we're not really talking about Shador
because he came in for injury and played very poorly
and the statistics were abysmal. And we'll get a real
taste of Shador if he actually starts the game of
the week of preparation, but we don't know if that's
going to be the case. That's why we have Van
Rappaport coming to us Ian Dylan Gabriel, Shador Sanders. The
Browns have a bad record, but they're still intriguing. Tell

(26:31):
us what the deal.

Speaker 9 (26:32):
Is, Yeah, and they're about to get a little more intriguing.
We'll start with the health situation. Dylan Gabriel suffered a
concussion this past Sunday, knocked him out of the game,
which is why Shador Sanders was playing in the second half.
And every player is different in the way every player
responds to a concussion is different. And we'll see how
Gabriel progresses through the protocol this week. But we've seen

(26:52):
plenty of quarterbacks take really hard hits, miss a week
or maybe miss two weeks, and able to come back.
That certainly leaves your door open for Shador Sanders playing
on Sunday. And yes, there was a lot of discussion,
mostly online about how this backup quarterback who began the
years a third string quarterback didn't get any first team reps.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
That is literally normal.

Speaker 9 (27:11):
That is basically every backup quarterback show if you watch
I don't know, let's just say the Falcons and Kirk
Cousins came and it didn't look good. Well, he also
didn't get a lot of first team reps. Backup quarterbacks
almost always get basically no or very limited first team reps.
If Shador starts this week, which again seems to be
the way it's going, he is going to get all
the reps. He will be more prepared than he has been,

(27:33):
and the product will be what it is. But I
think you're right, at least for whatever reason, a lot
of people are going to be watching the Cleveland Browns
this week.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, I mean they're at the Raiders. It's one of
those games. They're like, I want a matchup, but we
all have some kind of investments in some way in
Shoud or Sanders. Even though the Browns are two to eight,
thank you, Ian. We will stay tuned for that one.
In the meantime, the Ravens play next week as well.
That's a little bit more intriguing, just because they're still
alive in this thing. Seven to three, all right, first

(28:03):
division win? All right? And man, how similar to was
that to the first game we played against those guys?

Speaker 10 (28:10):
Okay, where you get the lead and then it gets
a little bit sideways in there, and we learned from that.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
And it took all three phases there at the end,
all three phases.

Speaker 10 (28:19):
At the end for us to win. We talked about
clutch when we needed it most. Man, let me get
a little Cairo, all right.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
That is Cairo Santos, the Bears kicker who did a
gritty with a skull clap like a scritty. I don't
know what that was. I don't see kickers too stuff.
That's that funny. I absolutely loved it. Guys. This is
the duke. It is made by Wilson, it is signed
by Roger Goodell, and it is our game ball. You
can hand that to anyone. It doesn't he mean that
they have the best game, the best stats. They just

(28:57):
caught your attention. We do it our own win. Good
morning football, MATT'SI you have a game ball? Who do
you want to hand it to? For week eleven?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
So this is a special one because I love to
be able to send this game ball to people that
were written off and there's a bad narrative about him,
and now they're just balling out.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
That was Bryce Young, you know, not so long ago.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
This guy was bench last year after week two and
had to sit on the sideline and have everybody say
something about him. Yesterday, the guy said a franchise record
for passing.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yards in the game.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
He went thirty one for forty five, four hundred and
forty forty eight yards and three tds. But the thing
I loved and respect about it him the most KB
It's this guy had to go into the locker room
because he's been dealing with injuries, came back out for
his team and closed.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Out the game.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
I have so much respect for Bryce Young, So not
only do I give this game ball, but also my
respect and my admiration for him.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
So game ball Bryce Young.

Speaker 11 (29:42):
Absolutely that certainly should go to Caroline and thank you
Manti looking at my game ball. This is this game
of football is not just about the game of football.
It's about players and they are very real people too.
So I am sending my game ball to Chicago. Nashaun Wright,
he had one interception against Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
But watch the emotion.

Speaker 11 (30:02):
As he's going in the end zone. He's crying and
it's because he lost his former college coach, John Dean.
He passed away on Friday. He played for coach being
back in twenty eighteen and reading about the backstory of
these two guys. He just talked to him two days
before his passing and he told him or in the
story it said that Coach Being told him, every time

(30:23):
I watch you, you get a pick, and he said
he was with me in this game. You can see
the emotion on him. We see you, Nashan. Obviously, our
feelings go to Coach Being's family, but this game balls
for you and Sean nice sare wow.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Feels there. That was a cool story.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
My game ball goes to the one and only Mason Rudolph.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I just want to start off.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
And say, how big of it of how big of
a deal it is to have a really trustworthy backup quarterback.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
This guy came in and it felt right.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
I mean, I'm watching this game and I'm like, wait,
Mason Rudolph, it kind of feels comfortable. You see, you know,
the old Steelers' face that comes in does this thing.
I was proud to see if twelve or sixteen, one
hundred and twenty seven passing yards and you know he
won the game. Not saying that it is this overwhelming.
They needed a crazy comeback, but he did what he
was supposed to do.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
He's consistent. I like this guy.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, he was a total pro. How come he doesn't
get to be in those commercials I see all the
time with the backup quarterbacks like mitchter Brisk and Teddy Bridgewater.
What Mason Rudolph as a mustache is very handsome. Man,
get him in that. I like the game balls how
we do it, because sometimes it's a role player or
it's some sort of homage to a bit player, and
then sometimes you just give it to the guy with
six touchdowns. I just get to Josh Allen. Guys, what
is the NBA equivalent of what he did yesterday? Did

(31:33):
he score sixty did he score sixty five? Like it was?
It was not in the fifties. This was a sixty
plus point NBA game. This game had about nine lead changes.
And if you're the Bucks, you're just facing this NBA
player who like, we run two guys at him, We
try to trap them, we try to shut him down
with anybody, and we just keep hitting shots. Whatever Josh
Allen had to do to win that game, he would

(31:55):
have done. Kenny do it in the playoffs. We don't know,
but for right now he reminded everybody after a terrible
week for the Bills and when everyone is crowning as
Drake may is the MVP and maybe he will be
that Josh allen Is still has the highest ceiling on
any given Sunday for any player in the NFL. He
gets my game ball, six touchdowns, one game ball. But
next a guy who gets all of our game balls

(32:15):
and all of ours. That is Bootman, and that is
Bootman Junior. He is becoming a cult hero in Denver.
He was in the game yesterday Broncos versus Chiefs, and
he's joining us shortly to tell the tale good football,

(32:45):
all right. The Broncos one over the weekend. Also, they
won ten days ago, as they usually do these days.
And it was on Thursday Night football Broncos Raiders win.
The Amazon cameras found a hero in the stands at
Mile High. We loved it, we embraced it. And if
you missed the story, here's what happened with it. I
have a new favorite fan in the twenty twenty five season.

(33:06):
Did you guys see boot Guy last night at Mile High?
Look at this dude took off his damn boot and
he's just whacking away I want to know what that
young man was thinking to his right. Poor god. Now,
young man, my gods, that's going to become their thing
this season. We welcome to the show, boom Man. My

(33:28):
name is David Timila.

Speaker 12 (33:29):
I cannot believe you're tagging me as the boot Man.
Our offense is driving us all crazy. My hand got
sore banging on that thing. It was yeah, so I
pulled the foot off and started pounding.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Where are you at? What is it?

Speaker 7 (33:44):
What is right?

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Now?

Speaker 12 (33:45):
We're hauling firewood up to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation
after a boring game last night. This is barb. I'm
in serious trouble.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
I hate the Internet. I cannot believe you tracked me down.
He hates the Internet, but the Internet loves him. And
guess what this has become a thing. Yes, yesterday, boot
Man was back in the stands at Mile High with
the full boot Brigade out there slamming that boot for

(34:14):
a good cause. And ladies and gentlemen, here's to tell
us how it all came together. Bootman himself, Dave vent Emilia,
and his famously unbothered son Adam. How do we do
a gentleman? Nice? I mean the sky the setup is beautiful, Adam.
I want to start with you, because we're meeting you
for the first time. You're a legend. In the original

(34:35):
video at the Thursday Night game, you were next to
your father, boot Man, looking completely unfazed by him slamming
that boot What has it been like for you to
see Pops go viral? And how do you feel to
be the son of Bootman? Yeah?

Speaker 13 (34:51):
Absolutely, I mean, it's an honor to be a son.
It's also an honor to be the son of boot MANU.
It's kind of a trip seeing him go viral like this.
This is the least Internet averse man that I know,
so it's weird. But he's embracing his new fountain Internet
virality really well.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
So I'm proud of him. It's been a cool experience.
All right, boot Man, get in here. The public, your
adoring public, wants to hear from you. You look like
Colorado crocodile Dundee. I mentioned this again. You're a beautiful
sort of wind burnt complexion. You're rugged as hell. The
Broncos are winning. How is life for you right now?

Speaker 12 (35:27):
Oh? My god, you guys, I owe you my life.
My son finally thinks I'm a legend. Years I've said
that the looser, the cowboy hatt you guys have got him.
I'm elevated in his mind. So thank you for that.
We're doing awesome. This is so much fun. Really grateful
for you guys having us on Dave.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
You are a legend because you return to the stands
with a dozen boots in hand.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Yesterday, Phyllis and on what happened after your appearance on GMFPN.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
That boot brigade that came together. That was crazy.

Speaker 12 (36:00):
You guys, where else on the planet can you go
where there's seventy five thousand people screaming and yelling. One
week we're all frustrated beating the snot out of the
rail in front of us, and then we're just ecstatic.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
That was a crazy fun game.

Speaker 12 (36:16):
Football is amazing that way you bring so many people together.
Just turn the right direction. We had so much fun.
Gratitude to the Broncos, by the way for getting us
into that thing.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
It's incredible. I'm looking at the whole boot brigade, the
people at Wolverine. You know, Isaac and Mantai are Notre
dame guys. They usually hate Wolverines, but in this case,
we are way into it. We have them here, Adam,
But I would Adam, do you have Are you with
a horse right now? Are you with some sort of
some four legged creature? I thought I saw that during commercial.
Where are you right now?

Speaker 13 (36:46):
Unfortunately I am not right now. I'm at work right now.
So I'm in downtown Denver, only about forty five minutes
away from my dad.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
And his horses. He's with the creatures. Okay, boot man,
introduce us to the horse. I thought I saw horse
making a cameo. Who do you got?

Speaker 12 (37:05):
You got them all right? Walk into the horses.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Nice backpedal. This is great.

Speaker 12 (37:11):
There you go, and then off viral for another reason.
Invitation to you guys to come ride our horses.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
For sure. We can't wait. Those are actual broncos. Look
at the actual broncos. There you go, amazing on TV.

Speaker 12 (37:31):
But there you go.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Oh I wish I had a sugar cube or an
apple or something. Listen, Dave, when we first tracked you down,
we remember it. You were hauling firewood to the Pine
Ridge Reservation, one of the many Native communities that you
and your team support. This is really cool work that

(37:53):
you do. Tell us more about the work you're doing
with tepee raisers.

Speaker 12 (37:56):
Look, thank you guys, first and foremost, thank you for
giving us a minute. I know you guys working seconds
and minutes, and for you to take a moment to
just give a voice to the Native American people.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
I'm super grateful.

Speaker 12 (38:08):
We work with the Ogole Ala la Quota people on
the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, the Dane
or the Navajo down in Arizona, and the Hope incredibly
proud people, rich in culture and tradition, but for a
lot of reasons, you know, historic, cultural, even religious reasons.
There's some of the poorest people in the United States,
so we do the best we can to you know,

(38:29):
they heat their homes with firewood, not all of them,
but some of them. They live in food deserts, so
we do the best we can to get firewood up
to them, food heaters, blankets, that sort of thing. So
the peep E Raisers thank you for giving us a
second or two just to give those folks a voice.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Day.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
If you're an inspiration, I'm gonna start calling you an influencer.
I know you're not an Internet guy, but at this
point you're the Broncos biggest influencer. So welcome to your
new title, November's National Native American Heritage Month.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Can you just get on you give.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
The people a call to action, tell them how they
can get involved than what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
What can they do to help you out? Right on?

Speaker 12 (39:07):
Go to the tpraisers dot org. And just you know,
you got to understanding that football is so much fun.
We're having fun with this, but there's a serious side
to it around people who genuinely in this country cannot
heat their homes, they don't have enough to eat. So
if people will go to the TP razors dot org
and ultimately, and I put this challenge. You guys are

(39:29):
gonna hate this on national TV, but I challenge all
of you guys to come on up to the reservation
and just visit the people there. They don't have a voice,
they don't get this sort of exposer. So thank you
tpraisers dot org and please come and join us. And
I'm talking to the you guys who have helped so much.
Just come ride these horses. We'll ride on Pine Ridge.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
This incredible stuff, guys, the TP Raisers great cause for
everyone at home. Wolverine, not the X Man or the Michigan.
That the incredible Boot Company. They're donating ten percent of
all online sales to the TP raisers today at Boots
for the holiday season. I've got him, You've got him, Adam.
It's incredible things happening this year. The Broncos might win
the super Bowl, and your dad is going viral like

(40:14):
he's Huktua or something. This is incredible.

Speaker 13 (40:20):
A little different, but I do like I like the
prediction Broncos to the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
We're looking damn good.

Speaker 13 (40:26):
If the if Bonix can keep rolling like he was yesterday,
I think we got a good shot.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
You're the band, Adam. Guys, let's take him out. That's
boot Man and boom when you're doing.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
A respective to be able to do this, boot seeing Adam.

Speaker 11 (40:41):
Time for There's no way, presented by Old Spice, the
greatest smell in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
There's no way.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
There's ninety seconds left in the show Wiki Elevin, Isaac,
there's no way. What is your there's no way, moment,
pull up the picture. We got to see him. Look,
I as a D lineman. This is a fellow D
lineman of mine.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
There's no way my boy has on a park up
pre game.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
You're in Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
You're supposed to prize yourself on loving the cold. I'm sleeveless.
I don't I don't need anything.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
The parka no way. You know who had a problem
with that, Champagne. Look at this? Look at this. Champagne's
on a sideline.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
He gets trucked by the rest and they kind of
get up slowest like that ww where they're both knocked
out in the slowest get up. That's what I saw yesterday.
That's my there's no way, Champagne, stay out of the way.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Coach, watch out for those guys. Booom, damn. We gotta
get that referee scepter. Yeah, all right, not the charger's
day yesterday. I got to understand they're trying to make
a play anyway they can and get some yardists. But
Bradley Boseman, you gotta be kidding me with this. Come up,
give me, give me the close up shot if you
can see it from this four thousand feet away. He

(41:47):
gets pushed back and then his head kicked back like
two seconds later. We are a total character, Bradley. I
love your game, but you gotta be kidding me with this.
There's no way you actually did that to try to
get a flag, and he did it happened. Well, that's it.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
Why are offensive guys always flopping KB?

Speaker 1 (42:02):
What the heck is going on? Man, there's no way
that because they're getting destroyed by the Jaguars. They needed
anything to work, and even that didn't work. Sorry, guys,
we'll be back more. Good morning football. Don't go anywhere, guys,
love you, Adios, oh Man.

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
