Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
What it's the at football fans, indeed, good Morning Football.
It is for all you knuckleheads back in the continental
United States.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
We are live here in Madrid.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I'm Jamie Arnall joined today as always, but not in
Los Angeles with him. Fancy Teo is joined by Seth Rollins,
Mike Rofolo, and Kyle Brandt hanging out in New York. However,
I get the brag of all brags today GMFB, representing
in Madrid ahead of the NFL's first regular season game.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Kyle, we have a heck of a show today.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
We really do.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Jamie's in Acoma de Paie yah, and we will be
continuing to talk to her all morning. But we got Seth,
we got man Ti, we got Mike, we got a
game tonight with a very important MVT.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Candidate playing quarterback. Let's get into it.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Welcome to Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper. That's right, GMFB,
honest special Thursday. Everybody, Jamie Mansei said, Mike g Kyle
loaded house and also we are on vacation.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
As a family at least one of us is.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
We are in Madrid, Spain, ahead of the NFL's first
regular season game. Commander's Dolphins will be coming to you
Sunday morning, nine thirty am Eastern on NFL Network. But
lots to talk about, guys, as I find myself in
Plaza Mayor here in the middle of Madrid, Spain. It
is the main square, it is the main shopping It's
a little dead right now, to be honest, because it

(01:45):
is downpouring rain. Our intrepid crew here has provided us
with a tent, which is why I don't look dewey whatsoever.
But Plaza Mayor is stunning. It has actually changed names
three times since it was built in the sixteenth century,
kind of like the Commanders have in their organizational history.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
So we are here, we are living it up.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
And Kyle, as you said, you said como de payea
more coma de sangria for me last night.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
But at least I'm trying to taste the culture. You
know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Kyle, Hell yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Let's go, Jamie, keep tasting it and we'll talk football, Kyle.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Said to start the show.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
A Thursday night football game to look forward to with
the Patriots and the Jets and with more on potential
injury information that we need. We welcome in our NFL
Network insider and rapaport with us this morning wrap sheet.
Who we looking at? Who are we talking about? What
do we need to know?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
I'll take you from here.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
You go back on your European vacation.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
Never been I heard.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
It's lovely actually over there.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
All right, let's start with the New York Jets and
their star receiver Garrett Wilson reaggravated that knee injury, missed
a couple of games early in the season with it.
Had the same injury happened last week. He has officially
been declared out for tonight's game. This is expected to
be a multi week injury, so there certainly is a
possibility that Garrett Wilson gets put on injured reserve later today,

(02:58):
when teams often make transactions before games, we will see.
But it's a multi week injury, so that would make
sends to allow him the chance to heal. Either way,
Jet's not gonna have one of their top weapons again.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
For the New England Patriots, one.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Of their top weapons is that not Stefan Diggs. Diggs
is fine, Kayshawn Boudi, who has really come on at
various times for the Patriots this year a bounce back season,
become one of the go to weapons for Drake May.
He is out with a hamstring injury. This happened early on,
about two weeks ago. Did not get to practice full
this week, so he is not going to play tonight.

(03:33):
Patriots a little shorthanded a receiver and running back Remandre
Stevenson once again, he is officially out.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
He is dealing with a toe injury.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Not considerably major, but he's missed a couple of games.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Now.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
We'll see when he's able to get out in the field.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Hopefully this is the last game that he misses.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Terrell Jennings one of his sidekicks at running back.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
He is dealing with a knee injury.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I'm told is expected to go for the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
All Right, Rapchie, appreciate it Thursday Night football. As you said,
a lot of eyeballs on the AFC East right now,
A lot because while the Bills have had dominance in
rea years, they've already lost to the Patriots earlier this season,
and the Dolphins came up and bit the Bills on
Sunday within really surprising win and the Dolphins now in
a great mood here in Spain ahead of the game
on Sunday. So we look at the AFC East, we

(04:17):
look at the top of the pile and the Patriots
tonight at Kyle and the bottom of the pile. Unfortunately
for the Jets it's Thursday night. Teams going in both directions.
But you yourself said those three important letters as it pertains
to this evening, and that is the MVP conversation surrounding
Drake May. Is that what catches your eye ahead of
this matchup?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah, it's the Drake Mayavitational.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
To tune in tonight on the zoon and watch Drake May.
If you haven't seen a ton of them, if you
just kind of catch them on red Zone. It's been
a while since they've been in primetime. The last time
the New England Patriots were in primetime, they were beating
the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo and it was more about
Stefan Diggs returning there. And now Drake May a month later,
has played a month of allegedly MVP football, and I

(04:55):
feel like we've had in this Patriots, they've had, you
know about this five year restart since the greatest football
player in human history was on their team, and now
if you talked to past fans, that title has been
taken over by Drake May. The hype, the excitement, it's
all very positive. But I know Pats fans were like, yeah,
he's like a combination of Brady with some Bledsoe and

(05:15):
some Doug Flutie and some Steve Grogan. He is like
the greatest thing that's ever happened to us in the
history of Boston sports. Larry birdbe Damn. There's so much excitement,
there's so much hope. He's so young, he's still so
good and so much to prove. And I just feel
like if you go against admittedly a middling Jets team
who's won a couple in a row and just put
on a show tonight, the Drake May conversation becomes neon

(05:38):
seventy two point fonts and I just want to see it.
I want everyone to see it. I don't want to
have a Doug tonight for him. I want him to
put on a show because he really does feel like
he could be the.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Next great quarterback.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
And as we go to one of the most electric
man in Sports Entertainment Seth Rollins, Seth, I have a
wrestling comp for Drake May.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
I want to see how you feel about this one.
And it's an old one.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I feel like Drake May is right now.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Like young Sting.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
He's like kind of a baby face, positive energy, doesn't
do a ton of screaming, but he's still naturally athletic,
really easy to root for. I feel like, you know,
he can evolve over the years. Sting say loyal to
w c W. Drake May stay loyal to un seed
and bounce around. He has kind of Sting potential. What
do you think of my comp? But what do you
think of May?

Speaker 4 (06:22):
You know what I like the comp I do.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
I was actually gonna like in him to a young
Randy Yorton, and I say that because, oh nice. There's
a ton of potential there, right, a ton of potential,
and now you're starting to see the actualization of that potential.
But I think on a national level, you know, the
Patriots are an interesting team. I think a lot of
people kind of just thought, oh, this is Buffalo's division

(06:46):
going into the season, right, there's no chance anybody competes,
you know, maybe Miami and McDaniel's offense catches up. But
at the end of the day, it was Josh Allen,
it was the Bills. They were going to take the
AFC East. And now you're looking at like you said,
possible MVP candidate and second year quarterback Drake May and
this at this point in the season, we're going to

(07:07):
get an opportunity to see is this team.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Is he the real deal?

Speaker 7 (07:12):
Because if they go out and they lay it dud
against the New York Jets, who at this point are
playing with house money, they've given up on the season, right,
They've they've hemorrhaged this season. They said it's over. We're
looking towards the future. If they go out and they
put up a stinker, all injuries aside, they go out,
put a stinker on national television on Amazon Prime Thursday night,
and we have one of these games that looks awful,

(07:34):
looks like last week's game the week before. It's not
a good look for the New England Patriots, not a
good look for everybody saying he is the next coming
of Tom Brady or better than Tom Brady. Right, we
want to see a showcase. That's what I want to see.
I want to see the entertainment factor tonight on Thursday Night.
I want to see this kid become a star. That's

(07:58):
what I believe will happen, and I want to see it.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
I need it.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
The NFL is ready for new young talent. This draft
class is stacked full of it at the quarterback position.
He's in a huge market in Boston, in the Northeast,
in a team that's been wanting this since Brady left.
I'm excited and I hope to see it. What do
you think, Mike? How you feeling on my wagon? Are
are you feeling upset with the Jets? What do you

(08:21):
think here?

Speaker 8 (08:22):
The wagon I'm on is that I agree with you
that a lot of folks thought that this was going
to be Buffalo's division in New England wasn't going to
be a contender, and some of those folks were the
NFL schedule makers. Good morning, Mike North, How are you, buddy?
You got a hard job. I just love giving and
I see him in person, and I give it to.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
Him in person too as well. But take a look
at this.

Speaker 8 (08:40):
On May fifteenth, the schedule released one o'clock, one o'clock,
one o'clock, one o'clock eight to twenty on a Sunday night,
and they showed up in won in Buffalo at one o'clock,
one o'clock, one o'clock, one o'clock, one o'clock. Now we
get the prime time. We got another one in a
couple of weeks against the Giants. We got some flex
possibilities coming up here, New England Patriots. Mike Rable your
time to shine. How about Trayvon Henderson your time to

(09:02):
shine as well.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
My friend Michael Floor.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
Our fantasy expert, who is always with us on the
insiders and always helping me draft my team, set my
lineup a huge Trayveon Henderson guy. Coming into the season.
Early in the season, he kept starting, Michael, I.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Can't he's killing me.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I can't get it and start him.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
But Remandre is getting run.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
No stick with him, stick within them.

Speaker 8 (09:28):
Well, Romondre Stevenson is out again with a toe injury.
Ruled out Tradion Henderson with that sixty.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
Nine yard run the other day.

Speaker 8 (09:34):
Here it comes to go escaping from the pile, earning
the respect of the coaching staff.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
Finally you know they got that. I love that part.
They'll look back.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
What do you want me to do? Do? I go
to the end zone. You want me to take a
name of it.

Speaker 8 (09:47):
Just a heady guy, an explosive guy, the ability to
shine and now the ability to do it on the
national spotlight in my starting lineup.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Tra meon.

Speaker 8 (09:56):
We need some help, man, The Outsiders, that's my team name,
The Outsiders needs to be rescued here. And you're doing
a heck of a job at least at this point
making it happen.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
That's good.

Speaker 9 (10:04):
Well, that's the thing about the Patriots Rus guys is
it doesn't matter who's really playing. I mean Keayshawan Boody out,
Kyle Williams has a rookie, has a great touchdown last week,
and then remind you Stevens since out, I mean Henderson
has one of the best games that we've seen from
a rookie a long time from the running back position.
But we've all been talking Patriots. So in GMFB fashion,
I'm going to zig when everybody's eggs and I'm going

(10:25):
to go to the Jets. If the Jets have to
win this game, this is what they have to do.
They've demonstrated over the span of this season that they
can win with their offense. They showed it against the
against the Bengals, they can win with their defense. But
you guys want to know something, the New York Jets
special teams is very special. Like that that special teams
unit last week scored two touchdowns. Like that's more touchdowns
than they scored in other possible ways in the game.

(10:48):
Like there are there there have been plays that this
special team unit that they've made that had had tremendous
impact on the game. Now the problem is they haven't
been able to put it together. For Aaron Glenn and
the Jets, for Chris Banjo, who's a special teams coordinator
over there, a former teammate of mine, if they can
bring all three phases together, no matter who's playing against them,

(11:11):
no matter who's playing with them, because everybody was talking
about after they had that trade where Sauces Garner left
and quinnin Williams left, it's done. And then they go
and they win against the Cleveland Browns last week via
their special teams.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
They are finding ways to win.

Speaker 9 (11:25):
If they're able to find a way to win against
the New England Patriots, hats off to Aaron Glenn, Hats
off to Chris Badger and the special teams coach because
it's going to be a big test against the New
England Patriots. So if they have to do if they
are going to have the chance, they're going to have
to bring it all together.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
It'd be notts if the Jets are on a three
game win streak.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
I mean, like, this is an incredible thing that would
transpire if they go into Foxborough to win. I'm not
holding my breath on this one. I think the Patriots
it's time for them to flex. And I don't mean
in the schedule. They may be doing that as well. Jamie,
we flexed you over to Europe. Unfortunately, we were happy
for you, but we're sad that you're there.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
We like you here with us.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
But tell us how more of how it's going and
then take the show show wherever you want.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Well, thank you, just as incredible as that might be
for the Jet Skyle. I found that this on ironic
Dante Colepepper Jersey to my right.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Is that because I think he's awesome. He's awesome, Justin.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
And Tom these guys are bears fans for their friends.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Oh now we're doing yeah, he FLI what's he doing? Yep?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Come on, come on, get over here, just make him
stand in the heir holding for Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
How's it going, my God, to see you?

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Great to see you.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Why why the Culpepper Dolphins they're wondering.

Speaker 10 (12:37):
I'm a big Dante Colepepper fan, big big Nick Saban
fan as well.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Absolutely, And then what's the itinerary for tomorrow's wardrobe?

Speaker 3 (12:46):
In the unironic quarterback department?

Speaker 4 (12:48):
It's either going to be a Kurt Warner Giants jersey
or Tim Tebow jets.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
You have them both in your suitcase.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
I certainly do.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Ready to go, Justin, you packed, You packed perfectly for
this trip. Justin and tom everybody, the Bears fans, thank
you very much. I'm gonna hand this over to Campwell,
if you guys are awesome, well done, enjoy your time
here in Madrid. Those guys are great. Honestly, it's I know,
right Cam, welcome in.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Yeah, deals gets o.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
That's where I end. So that's where I started end
right there.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
You made these friends with me, which is fantastic, and
you immediately spotted the Culpepper jersey from of our Dolphins
fans are here. Well, there's no great today, stronaut seeing
a lot of fans walking around However, the teams have
been here since Tuesday morning, so what's up with the travel?

Speaker 11 (13:29):
Yeah, they came in Monday night, got in eight hour flight.

Speaker 8 (13:32):
Yep.

Speaker 11 (13:33):
Some slep on the plane, some didn't. Some still dealing
with jet lag like me. But Tuesday was their off day,
so they got to explore to a city, went to
a cathedral. Some guys went shopping a lot more expensive
stuff than I buy. And some guys went to the
mccarl day.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
San Miguel.

Speaker 11 (13:47):
I saw Zack Seeler, Marcus Mario in there, down in
some beef, down to some prawns. You know, I did
not see any Saint Grio, but maybe that was a
little later.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
But these guys.

Speaker 11 (13:57):
Are getting ready for this big game. You know, they're
practicing right now, their second day of practice. The Dolphins
are at Athletico Madrid Stadium, the commanders are at Real
Madrid's practice facility, and they are ready to go first
game in Spain.

Speaker 9 (14:12):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
We just got done talking about Pat's Jets tonight, and
perhaps the trophy room in Foxborough is a good one. However,
it doesn't sound like it matches what Real Madrid has
going on with their trophy room, which you.

Speaker 11 (14:24):
Saw yesterday Bernabeo Stadium I was at earlier today. Yeah, incredible, incredible, iconic,
real Madrid plays there, legendary.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Look at all these trophies. Look at all of these trophies.

Speaker 11 (14:35):
This is they compared it to the super Bowl of
all trophies. Yeah, they've got stacks, every stacks. I can't
wait to be there Sunday because they've got a really
cool field that they got a greenhouse that they cook underneath.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Bring up.

Speaker 11 (14:49):
They were putting up the goalposts, they were putting up
the paint of the numbers on the field.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Getting ready for this huge game.

Speaker 11 (14:57):
There's just a certain energy about being somewhere new and
iconic place that we get to experience. I know, talking
to players at practice yesterday, Marcus Mariota said, I'm a
kid in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. That's why
we think about us playing in Madrid. Talking to Doug
Williams and he's like, I never got to experience this.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
These guys are.

Speaker 11 (15:15):
Going to have a legendary experience, and so I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
First time ever in the NFL is going to play
this game here in Madrid's Spain. Kyle, However, not the
first time that you've seen a Dante Culpepper Dolphins, Jersey.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
I am sure, my friend, No.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
I was over there once in London.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I saw Reggie Bush Dolphins, Jersey. There's something about that
over there, and they like those weird Dolphins. I'm absolutely
into it, and I want to see that Tim Tebow
Jets Jersey. Kurt Warner Giants fantastic as well.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Well.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
We welcome the new in the NFL, like playing a
regular season game in Madrid.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
We also welcome the familiar.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Which is what is going on with AJ Brown and
the Philadelphia Eagles. AJ Brown is recently overheard on a
live stream assessing the states of the Eagles offense and
his participation in it. So, of course, once again, and
we will check in with the Eagles head coach Nick
Sirianni on the matter.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
And here from A J. Brown himself their.

Speaker 12 (16:10):
Time Laughter victory where a JA either of them on
social media or in this case on livestream, has sort
of voiced his displeasure.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Is it at all becoming a distraction?

Speaker 12 (16:18):
No, I don't think so. Again, you can only go
from your interactions with with everybody and the way they
go about their work on a daily basis that you
guys don't can be able that you guys aren't able
to see. But you know, no, it's business as usual.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Now, I think that's fair.

Speaker 10 (16:33):
I think if you've got eyes, you can see that,
you know, learning the same things I've been saying like
all season, you know, So me making light of my
situation on Twitch with with my friend, you know, Uh,
that's something I'm not apologizing for, you know, because like
I said, I you've got eyes, you can see that.
And so uh that's me trying to like laugh through

(16:56):
my situation. So like, yeah, what is how do you
sing your situations? Do I see my situation with situations? Oh,
you know, trying to figure it out, trying to get
this same rule and trying to hilp you know.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
So it's a tricky situation because AJ Brown is a
public figure on a public platform giving his opinion about
a team, and then the head coach, Kyle is flipping
the script saying it's business as usual. We're going to
keep some of this stuff internal. So it's confusing. Once again,
it was about this time last year we saw AJ
Brown on the sideline with the book. It always seems

(17:33):
to come up AJ Brown when we are wondering what's
going on with the Eagles in their offense? Kyle, what
do you make of all this? This this next chapter.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
I think it's nuanced.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I do because there's some predictable responses you can go
to just take off the shelf and dust them off,
and you can say, well, typical loud mouthed, selfish wide receiver.
I think it's a little more complex than that. Understand
that AJ Brown is a Super Bowl champ. He's paid,
he has a huge contract, he's all taken care of.
It's not someone who needs their numbers or wants their
money or wants this.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
But he's still pissed off.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
He's still pissed off that they're not playing well as
an offense. And I understand that you could say.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Shut up, man, you're winning. Why would you say this
when you're winning? Winning is not enough for this group.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
They've done tons and tons of winning, and last year
they were in the middle of literally the longest win
streak in Eagle's history. When AJ Brown came out and
complained about the offense, and then the next week they
lit it up they beat Pittsburgh. He was great, Jalen
was great, and then Jalen came out and said, is that.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
What you guys wanted?

Speaker 1 (18:32):
You might also say keep that in house, handle that privately.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
I don't know in other situations.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Maybe very unique dynamic here, very unique relationship with Jalen,
unique dynamic with the team and with the media and
aj Brown. I think, fine, after this game, they win,
they scored ten points in a win, you expect them
to be happy again.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
This is not some.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Team trying to get over the hump, trying to get
to the playoffs. This team is looking like dynasty stuff.
This is going to be their third super Bowl if
they get there. So he wants to win another one.
He wants to be a big part of it. And
I sat here after they won ten to seven, I'm like,
what the hell was wrong with the offense in a win?
So I can't blame him for saying it. I've never
streamed or twitched or anything.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
I wasn't doing that playing Zelda back in the day.
I don't understand that part of it.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
But the fact that he's upset with the offense and
things we can do better and winning is not enough.
I see it, and we'll do it the same time
next year. Mike that's how it works with this guy
on this team.

Speaker 8 (19:26):
Nick Sirianni yesterday said he's close to like basically cutting
it off to like not even entertaining anymore AJ Brown questions.
I gotta be honest, I'm close to not even asking
them at this point, Like I'm just so fatigued by
this whole situation, to the point where.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
After a win.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
Go to other lockers like I just I'm not knocking
the media. I'm like, I'd be part of that crew.
But what more needs to be said unless it's gonna
get more specific?

Speaker 6 (19:52):
Unless AJ Brown is literally going to.

Speaker 8 (19:54):
Tep because he was upset after a game a couple
of weeks ago against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where they
were forcing the ball. It was like passing complete to
a J. Brown, passing complete da a J. Brown's three
yard past a J.

Speaker 6 (20:06):
Brown punt.

Speaker 8 (20:08):
I mean, do you want the ball in a different fashion?
What's the issue here?

Speaker 6 (20:12):
Now?

Speaker 8 (20:14):
Yesterday, when I'm seeing this from Afar, it almost felt
like he was directing it more towards the coaching staff,
and my understanding had been that this was more directed
to Jalen Hurts. And then you really dig into the quotes,
and you see this one quote.

Speaker 6 (20:27):
If we're really in this business.

Speaker 8 (20:29):
To try to get better, we gotta do what we
got to do and not just say it's about wins
or as long as we got the win, right.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
No, you can't do that, not in this league. To me,
that seemed like a direct arrow.

Speaker 8 (20:41):
Right at Jalen Hurts, because that's been his quote throughout
the entire season, including to the point where he told
Chris Jones on the field during the game, you didn't
get one hundred yards. Yeah, but we won the game,
and it seems like Aja's saying no, no, no, that's not
good enough quarterback receiver. That relationship still feels off to me.
I don't know Manti how Itever gets back on the
right footing. To me, this is something we're in the offseason.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
These guys gonna have to go. There's no way you
drag this into twenty twenty six. I'm starting to get
fatigued by it. Though.

Speaker 9 (21:09):
I'm a little confused as this situation because at first
it seemed like it was an AJ Brown kind of
not talking about his quarterback, and it seemed to be
a little bit friction there. But then I come to
find out that the fourth down play were hurts through
it to aj Brown at the end of the game
and he's double covered. Was a play that those two
made like they just supposedly they went rogue. And that's

(21:31):
where I think that as a teammate, if I'm part
of that locker room and I found out that the
two leaders of my team decided to go rogue on
this play, I'm a little concerned because now it's not
only affecting one person, but it's affecting also my franchise
quarterback who is also feel like he has the liberties
to make these kind of decisions.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
And So if I'm Nick Siriani and the.

Speaker 9 (21:51):
Question is is Aj Brown not a distraction? I think
it's you have to start looking into this thing, like, Okay,
if Jalen is starting to make some decisions based on
this situation like this play and the key in the
key part of the game, what does this spill over
to being And so that's for me as a former player,

(22:13):
if I see my two star players doing these types
of things and comments are being made and then changes
are being made in the game to kind of cater
to that, for me set that's that's a little alarming.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
For me.

Speaker 7 (22:24):
Yeah, there is cause for concern here, Kyle. I kind
of fully disagree with what you said. I'm saying it
shut up, aj Brown, That's that's what I'm saying. I'm saying,
shut up, go out and play. Go out and play
to the best of your ability. If you have a
problem with the play calling, if you have a problem

(22:46):
with your quarterback now getting into the ball on time,
these are conversations that can be had in private. You
do not need to have these conversations on a Twitch
stream in public with some random dude who's whooping your
button Madden or whatever's going on there. Like it's just
unnecessary and it causes friction that, like Mantaid was saying,
it affects the entire team, particularly in situations like he's referencing.

(23:10):
There was some wild play calling going on at the
end of that game on Monday night from the Philadelphia Eagles.
The fact that they were able to pull out that
win and it didn't go to overtime. The Fackers had
many opportunities to come down and win that game and
the Eagles defense held them. But at the end of
the day, shut up, dude, it doesn't it's it's affecting
your whole team, and you, yeah, you're winning games right now,

(23:30):
so it's kind of like, Oh, it's not a big deal,
but just shut up.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
You don't need to say these things.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
We live in this era where everybody feels like they
have to say something, they have to have an opinion,
they have to put it to a megaphone, whether it's
social media or some streaming platform. And I'm of the
opinion that you can take care of these problems in private.
You can talk to your coach, talk to your coordinator,
talk to your quarterback. You can be a leader in
the locker. You will have much more of an effect

(23:56):
if you do it that way than if you're out
here yep and yap and yet them. Because, like you said, Kyle,
he's got it all taken care of. He's got everything
in the bank.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
So what are you doing.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
Why are you ruffling these feathers. It can't and you're
not you're not communicating properly. If it's a if it's
a oh, I just want to play better football. Because
you want to go out there and say, oh, I
want to play better football, that's fine, you can do that,
but that's not what he's saying those are not the
words that's coming out of his mouth, and so I
don't know, man, I'm just saying, shut up, just shut
your mouth pretty easy.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
It's a strong it's a strong take set. I just
have to correct one thing.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
It wasn't just some random guy who's playing video games
with It was a guy named Jankie Rando Jankie Rando's
twitch stream. So shout out to Jankie Rando. I heard
you do great things. I've sat apologizes. Of course he
wasn't familiar with your game. But I want to turn
to Mike because something Manti said was really interesting about
that last play, that fourth down of Jalen hurts to

(24:50):
aj Brown.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
What is he talking about here, Mike.

Speaker 8 (24:53):
The well, there was a lot of chatter, including DeVante
Smith right after the game on ESPN, with Scott Van
Pelt saying that whatever those two want to decide, we're
good with. Basically like, there's a your two key players,
enough leaders if they decide. So it led people to say, Okay,
that was not the called play. Nick Sirianni then seemed
to be saying into the headset why he was asked

(25:14):
about all this yesterday? He was adamant that he knew
what was being called in that spot and what was
being run and don't try to read into what I'm
saying and all that stuff.

Speaker 6 (25:21):
But you watch that play.

Speaker 8 (25:22):
There's no hand signal, but there's a long stare right
before the snap Jalen hurts two Aj Brown where it's like,
do I have your eyes what we talked about or
agreed upon or whatever?

Speaker 1 (25:32):
This is thirty three seconds left in the game, four down.
People said they should have kicked, they should have punt.
There's a potential that maybe they just like, let's add
lib this thing.

Speaker 8 (25:40):
Sometimes it's built into the offense where you can do
that kind of stuff if you want to. Sirianni seems
to be upset with why did we do that? That's
not what he claims that that was not the case.
But here's where, like we had shown this, we had
also shown the play against the Vikings, which was a
key third down where Jalaen says, I'm just gonna throw
it up to my guy and give him a chance
to make a play.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
Certainly did that in this case. Isn't that what AJ wants?

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (26:04):
Like, why are you not happy if you're getting these
types of things. Is it the manner in which it's
being delivered. Is it not happening early enough in the
game for you? Is it just not being run within
the framework of the offense. It seems to be again,
directed more towards the quarterback than what is being called
from the sideline.

Speaker 6 (26:20):
I don't get it. I need more detail.

Speaker 8 (26:22):
If he's not going to go into further detail, then
I'm with Seth in the just stop throwing out the
general stuff because it's only making things.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Worth gm AF pencils down.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Now that everybody just spent the commercial break preparing for
cultural and historical questions for Trivia this week, it's.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Actually not about Spain. It's about the teams playing in Spain.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
So lock in on the Commanders and the teams from
Washington and the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Everybody.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Here's the first questions across the board for man Ti,
Mike g, set and Kyle Mike g You're up first, ready, Bud.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
We're going to start with a running back conversation.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Specifically, over fifteen years ago, Larry Zanka ran for one
hundred and twelve yards in a Super Bowl seven against Washington,
which helps cement the nineteen seventy two Dolphin status is
the perfect team in NFL history. Zanka had rushed for
two hundred and ninety seven yards over three Super Bowls,
which actually ranked second in most rushing yards by a

(27:15):
running back in Super Bowls.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
Who is the.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Highest rusher the most rushing yards in Super Bowls all time?

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Who has that?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
Is it a Franco Harris, B Emmitt Smith, C John
Riggins or C Terrell Davis.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
My head went right to EMITTT. Smith.

Speaker 8 (27:31):
Yeah, so of mine one, two, three super bowls?

Speaker 6 (27:35):
Terrell Davis was how many.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Two super Bowls?

Speaker 9 (27:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Yeah, he was awesome though.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
Yeah, I gotta go. I'm going, I'm going now, I'm
going with the layup.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
I'm going in Okay, Mike g Oh, Kyle, it would
have been a last second hit if he had taken
your suggestion.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
It is a Franco Harris.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
The late great Franco Harris had one of the most
impressive resumes of any back in NFL history. I know,
from his rookie season all the way through an MVP
and Super Bowl nine, which happened against the Vikings. The
famer is one of the greatest players in Steelers history,
and of course his number is retired. He's number one,
He's got the most he's perfect, a perfectase. We all

(28:14):
have just taken almost Manti, You're all.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Right on the track. Let's come on, come on, come on,
we got it to Marcus.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Mariota and Chua Tagovoloa are expected to face off for
the first time in their careers in Madrid this Sunday.
Together in the regular season, this is really interesting and
the playoffs, these two have combined for two hundred and
twenty five touchdown passes. However, there is one player that
actually has caught a touchdown pass from both quarterbacks from

(28:46):
both Marcus and Tua. Is it a Braxon Barrios, D
Darren Waller, C. Mccollins or D be Keem Grant.

Speaker 9 (28:57):
Okay, so I'm gonna go Darren Waller wood and goes
with the Raiders. Marcus was with the Raiders for a
little bit. He was with the radio a little bit,
and Darren Waller came back to custom pass sport tool.
So I'm gonna go. Ah, I'm gonna go beat Darren Waller.
Jamie give it to me.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Well, nice, well done. Here it is this is the look.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
You're right, it is of course Waller's had a great
start after un retiring the summer and journey the Dolphins.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
He caught a touchdown pass from a couple of.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Them, and then exactly and then with the raiders of
Marcus Mariota, here we go plus Marcus and Tua.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
As you know, Mantai went to the same high school,
and lewis moving on nice you were facing on there.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Come on, guys, come on.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
In May of twenty eighteen, you defeated Yinner Mahal to
retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. A few months later, your
bears made a huge trade for Khalil Mack. What player
has Khalil Mack sacked the most in his career?

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Is it a Derek Carr.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
B Aaron Rodgers, see Kirk Cousins or d Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
Oh man, this is a great question. I really wanted
to be be Aaron Rodgers for obvious reasons, but I
think it's actually Kirk Cousins. I'm gonna go with see
Kirk Cousins only because I just think Aaron Rodgers is
too obvious and fun. So ye see Kirk Cousins. Final answer, Seth.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Sometimes just going with your true troll in your heart
is the way to go.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
It's b Aaron Rodgers. It is Baron Rodgers, pain.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Pain mack uh khalil mack Sacks Rogers four and a
half times when he was with the Bears. The first
time Zach Rogers, like fifteen when he was actually still
with the Raiders and go down. And then the most
recent instance happened last Sunday in primetime again again take
him down.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
I can watch this all day.

Speaker 7 (31:01):
Yeahwar didn't want to take the hit. Yeah anymore?

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Is that it all right?

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Here we go, Kyle. That's it? That was it?

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Four and a half secks, Kyle, You're up, Kyle. In
nineteen ninety eight, Dolphin but Receiver Oj McDuffie became the
first player in franchise history to lead the NFL in receptions.
That same year, Antonio Bandettas portrayed the masked hero in
the film The Mask of Zorro Benderis was nominated for
a Golden Globe for their role, but he did not win.

(31:33):
Who won Best Performance in a Motion Picture, Musical or
Comedy in nineteen ninety nine, which would be the fifty
six Golden Globes? Is it a Tom Hanks? B. John Travolta,
see Robin Williams or.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
D Mike Cocaine see I love Mike, okaye, I love that.
You guys now are trying to stump me by by
going down to the Golden Globes.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
You can't even give me an Oscar question. What's next?
The People's Choice. I'm gonna do the Blockbuster Awards yet, all.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Right, I saw Primary Colors in the theater. It's Travolta
basically playing Bill Clinton. I don't think he won for that.
Robin Williams and Patch Adams is fine. This is Philip
Seymour Hoffman. But that's not an award winning movie. And
I don't remember a little voice from Mike Cocaine. But
I would guess I'd have to go to Hanks saving
Private Ryan. It did not win the Oscar hold on

(32:23):
music or comedy though?

Speaker 6 (32:25):
What musical number did Tom Hanks do in saving private Role?

Speaker 4 (32:28):
Mike, I'm so glad you saved me. Music or comedy? Yeah, yeah,
they were.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
Gonna kill the German. We're gonna kill the German.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
We're taking the beach.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
You know it's not You're right, Mike, So if it's
music or comedy, we can't do that in that sense,
then I will go.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Shoot, that's a hard question.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Was it Trabolta that wasn't really a comedy?

Speaker 4 (32:49):
As all right, I'm gonna go with Mike. Mike, you
better be right.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
I don't know what little voices.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
I've never heard of this that was a comedy Primary Colors.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Though, if we have the ability to say his name
in such a specific way that we love on this show,
it's obviously gonna be d Mike, okay, because we love
saying his name like that.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Guys. Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
Wow, I've never heard of it.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Mike Cocaine.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Mike Cocaine has won three Golden Globes in his career,
two Oscars for Best Look at that who's in it?

Speaker 3 (33:21):
I've never even seen that movie.

Speaker 6 (33:23):
That's a guy.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Oh, that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
That's a guy from Harry Potter. I don't know what
do we dock? You little voice got a Golden Globe?
Come on, guys, I don't know. I've never heard of
this movie. I'll never watch this movie ever.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
I think it's an AI movie. Never heard of it?

Speaker 8 (33:37):
Question five, Thank you, Sam.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Oh Group question video question.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Here we go, Dolphins and Commanders. The franchise has.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Previously met in two Super Bowls. All Right, we got
history here with Washington winning Super Bowl seventeen in Miami
winning Super Bowl seven. As we mentioned in the latter
Super Bowl seventeen, midway through the first quarter, the Dolphins
had the ball on their own twenty four yard line.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
What happens on that play?

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Is it in a David Woodleigh thirty nine yard scramble,
b Dexter Manly sack, see seventy six yard touchdown pass
to Jimmy Suffalo or a Da Dave Buts interception.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Let's let's all take one.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
That's all bread, Kyle.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
I'm gonna pick d because it says but that's gonna
be nice. All right, Okay, I'll go.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
I'll go.

Speaker 9 (34:27):
I'll go a sack, be Dexter Manley gets a sack,
I'll go defense, Yep, yep, not.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Enough, Gotta be one of the other two. I'll go.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
I'll go with the David Woodley thirty nine yard scramble.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
You all right?

Speaker 1 (34:38):
That leaves me with the most glamorous one, Jimmy Safalo
with a seventy six yard touchdown pass.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Jamie let Her Rep has.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
A hearty emotion dem yourself. Michael Kaine would be proud.
It is Jimmy Solo, Dick Emberg and Marland Olson club.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Look, we're going to.

Speaker 9 (35:09):
Actually well.

Speaker 8 (35:16):
Done.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Good job, all right, Jimmy. Are we sure.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
One last little exposure?

Speaker 4 (35:25):
Yes, gotcha.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
I just want to make sure that play with the
Dolphins really happened, because that Michaelcaine movie never happened.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
That's not a real thing.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Yeah, go ahead, happened, Okay, Yeah, no, we we are
able to unearth it from the vaults at NFL Films
and we will confirm that that play did indeed happen,
as did something else last night.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
You guys.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
As you know, I like to be amongst the people
when I go on these trips.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
And I was stopped last night in.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
A piano bar, of all places that I found myself in,
you know, jets jet legs tough, and someone just spoke
Spanish at me for two minutes straight, and at the
very end he says, good morning football. And I found
a new friend here in Madrid, Spain to watch.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
We are here at Dondo's, the best bar in Madrid.

Speaker 6 (36:09):
I love good morning football.

Speaker 7 (36:11):
We're here for the Dolphins Commander's games.

Speaker 6 (36:18):
I'm a Chargers fan.

Speaker 9 (36:23):
I love him.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
He's on the show.

Speaker 7 (36:25):
Yeah, I'm said, Stringers no longer on the show, but
I still love the show and Jamie Ardel is my favorite.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
I'm i'll that's right.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Thank god it is midnight. It is midnight on a Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
So yeah, Ja's gonna be on the show. I told
him it would. There is our friend.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
He came.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
He was actually here from Mexico City to watch this
NFL game. And guys, we've got fans all over. And
he also said to me later, I love the garafolo
and the rap sheet and the pelasaro on the Insider.
So everybody got at the across the network.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Wow, that's awesome. He looks like he is right. I
know what.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
A party very important before the ship. There it is
there we goes as we go to break watch this
thing about I'm seth.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Do you know the Packers won most of these games.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
And not all?

Speaker 7 (37:32):
You know it like I do, real pain, real pain,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
