Show me what you got, Show me what you got.
Really feels like the beginning of something. This is better
than expected.
Speaker 8 (01:36):
And now it's good.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
It's really good.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Oh yeah, no more, Hey rookie is show me what
you got today. We will see that in full display
with the guys at the breakfast.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
No one, we're so excited that you're here. Feel good.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, I feel good. Thank you for having me. One
hour down, one hour down. I'm loose now, and you
kind of guess where I'm going. I'm a lot of
sec bias. I'm a Southern kid at heart, so I'm
gonna just talk to South and the good football.
Speaker 10 (02:06):
Did you see did you see how nancy he was
getting when they were showing the QB jump.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Out his hair?
Speaker 3 (02:12):
We love that, And that's exactly what we're going to
get into now because the big question to start this hour, guys,
is which second year quarterback is going to have that
big sophomore jump? And which one will have the biggest
sophomore jump? Why don't you do the honors Trump?
Speaker 6 (02:28):
I sure, Will MJ.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
We've got our They're not heads because they're so little.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
I know where I'm going. I know where I'm going.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
We were all on board of this guy's hype train
coming out of college. We see the next generational quarterback.
His rookie campaign wasn't exactly what we saw, but going
right here, okol Caleb Caleb Williams. I believe this year
under under Ben Johnson and his lineage and the coaching
(02:56):
staff that he brought in the improvements that they made
to the offensive line, bringing in Joe Thuney, Jon and.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
Jackson and others.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Dan roll Schart the office, a line coach, the protection
and that he will have the pocket, that he will.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
Have the scheme under Ben Johnson.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
Caleb Williams is primed to have a true breakout. He
had a really good rookie campaign statistically, but then equate
the wins. I think this year it will also equate
to wins. Not just the stats, but equate the wins.
He has a lot of weapons on outside. DJ Moore Romeo,
I really believe in Caleb Williams this year making that
big sophomore joint.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, a little protection for the man would be great.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
He was sixty eight times last year led the league.
So maybe everybody a lot of what about for you?
Speaker 8 (03:41):
Again?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
You know I'm going sec bias and this is one
of my guys too. You know Bo Knicks he's a
good quarterback, but also I think he's just getting his
feet wet in the league. You've seen him make some
big down and field throws. We know he has a
big arm. People underestimate his legs. He can stram, but
he can run around. He can do a lot of
different things, but I say, man, when he throws the
(04:02):
deep ball, he has the perfect accuracy, perfect throws, and
he puts it right in the bread basket, as we
say in the South.
Speaker 8 (04:08):
So he's a good he's a good quarterback.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
But I like him to make that next sophomore jump
just because I know he can do it, and I
know his feet and his arm is gonna work.
Speaker 8 (04:17):
Together when he get his feet settled in Denver.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, his coach believes in him too. I'm it's all
in on phone next. Okay, Okay, I see what you.
Speaker 7 (04:25):
Guys are doing. I see whe y'all went there.
Speaker 10 (04:26):
You know, y'all did a little low hanging fruit, you know,
a little you know what I'm saying. But let me
go ahead and tell y'all who's gonna ball out this year.
Who's gonna go from nothing to something?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (04:37):
Come on, yeah, Jjbergarth, Yeah, Yeah, exactly, he's going from there.
He's gonna have the biggest sophomore jump.
Speaker 7 (04:43):
You know why because he didn't touch the field year. Yes,
why he's.
Speaker 10 (04:48):
Gonna be out there doing this thing all jux aside,
we know that he's a really good quarterback coming out
of Michigan. He did his thing, but now he's stepping
into a fold having learned and listened for a whole year. Right,
we know Samdrnal was the man while he was recovering
from his knee injury and now again her second year
in the league.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
Just because he didn't touch the.
Speaker 10 (05:06):
Field doesn't mean that he wasn't in meetings, doesn't mean
that he wasn't taking mental reps, doesn't mean that he
wasn't getting coached up by Kevin O'Connell, doesn't mean that
he wasn't communicating with his number one weapon and justin Jefferson,
this dude is going to have an opportunity to go
out there and step on the field by having thousands
upon thousands of reps that he's already ran through and
now we know that on the back end, behind the
(05:27):
scenes where we can't see it, he's been working on
his craft. Excited to see the young man with his
first opportunity in the league, with a fresh start, with
some nice weapons outside as well.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah, I'll say one thing about it, just the sophomore
jump is you know, once you get your feet settled
and you've been in the league for a minute and
used to seeing how the speed of the game goes,
because when you first get there, you're like wow, like
it almost stuns you. But as you get going and
you settle down, it starts to slow down and people
will see different pictures more and different things like that.
It happened for me last year, and I'm pretty sure
(05:59):
it happened for them.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Oh I love that. I'm going in the opposite direction.
I think it'll be Jayden.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
He already a lot way more than expected. I think
that is only going to take you up. I know,
look at.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Me said that.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Okay, So which second year quarterback do you have your
eye on week one?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Given who they're facing it? Okay, I'm ready.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
I got an MJ.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
I got a piggyback on your on your pick for
the sophomore jump This is this is is safe. I
think this is a safe selection. He was incredible in
his rookie campaign and opening the season up against the Giants,
who has a very great defensive line and pass rush.
But the whole world we want to see how he
responds to his rookie year success. And I think it's
it's a no brainer with this guy. He's so calm, cool, collected,
(06:44):
he's under control at all times. He can beat you
with his arm, in with his legs pre snap, He's
he's just he was extremely impressive.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
He looked like a veteran quarterback last year.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
I think even in the second his second year, to
start the year, he'll be explosive.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Yeah, the humble beast is the most scary beast. The
humble beast is the most scary beast just because he's humble.
Speaker 8 (07:04):
And he handled the success very well.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
But you also can see his homer and his homer
for the game and his love for the game. So
I agree with you on that one. I'm going I'm
going JJ just because you know, like he said, he
hasn't played, but he also takes a thousand mental reps,
kind of like what I did my rookie year. You
take so many reps and you be a sponge and
you soak things in. You learn from different players, You
(07:28):
get to talk to your old line a little more,
how they looking at the slide in the reads, so
you can understand everything. And I'll say, he makes that
big jump this year, and he's one of the people
that I'm watching first week just because you know, like
you said, he's taking that time to sit back, watch
all the reps, go through his playbook, learn his playbook,
really be indulged in it, and not only know the playbook,
but know what.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
Am I checks?
Speaker 1 (07:49):
What can I get to when I get in times
of trouble, in times of need? And he can get
to it quick. So yeah, I agree. I agree with
this one. Right here, I'll say.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
JJ yeah, up against Caleb Monday night football to start
the year.
Speaker 8 (08:03):
Short up, okay, good, showdown, be good.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
I will be there side.
Speaker 9 (08:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (08:08):
I mean, I know you're a big SEC guy, you
know what I'm saying. But you know I'm from the
top of the Pac ten, you know, man, you know.
And during the time that it's okay, we're up in
the Northwest doing our thing.
Speaker 7 (08:21):
But there's a dude.
Speaker 8 (08:22):
By the name of Michael Pennix Junior.
Speaker 10 (08:25):
I believe that this dude is going to ball out
Week one against the.
Speaker 7 (08:29):
Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Speaker 10 (08:31):
Not only because this dude is going into his second year,
not only because he is the man in Atlanta right now.
But look who he's playing with, right He's playing with
Drake London. This dude's playing with b Jean Robinson, Kyle Pitt,
this dude has all the weapons at his disposal. Also,
also he has an opportunity to showcase it against Todd Bowles,
(08:51):
one of the most respected defensive minds in football against
Tampa Week one. I think he takes a big stride
and sets the Atlanta Falcons up for success and lets
everybody know what it's going to be.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
And with the dirty birds bro in a long time
coming that.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I am going to go opposite of Nolan and I
think Caleb I want to see how he steps in
now into his role. One thing about it, he don't
like confidence. Okay, no quarterback, but certainly Caleb remember all
the fanfare around him when he came into the league.
But to your point, I think he has really settled
into this role, into being.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
At the pro level.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I'm very excited to see him under the lights to
start off the year, and the Bears are dying to
start off the year like that, especially in primetime. He
loves that type of stuff. That's the Hollywood kid.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, so I love that.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Okay, next question for you guys, which second year quarterback
will have the most memorable play in twenty twenty five?
Speaker 5 (09:45):
Okay, bow Nicks looks left, huh, he looks right, Nolan Smith,
join your with the pressure, stiff arm into the he't
do that way, Hey do that running away from pursuity
eighty yards down the field. I got bo Nicks. Yeah,
I see a nice memorable play from him. He's he's dynamic.
(10:09):
He is hard to bring down too. As a quarterback,
he's hard to bring down.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
So yeah, look at that. Oh this is this is bad.
This is back.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I was going to say, you had me then you
lost me about the step fall and stuff. I was like, okay,
the pressure and all that that sounds believed.
Speaker 8 (10:27):
I got to bring it down. I cain't just go
for the pressure.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Like why am I involved.
Speaker 7 (10:34):
Each other?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Oh yeah, that's why that's my guy. We don't play
it against each other. Several times. He does have a
nice arm, big legs. I'll say this, the guy that
I've been seeing running around really making plays on ESPN's
Kayler Williams. I'm gonna go with Cayleb Williams just because
he has to stand plays. Like you said, he got
sacked sixty eight times. So when you have to extend
(10:56):
and play like that and you know, move the pocket
and run around, you're used to it.
Speaker 8 (11:00):
So when it's the.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Game on the line and you got to run around
and it's stand to play for a little bit longer
to throw it down the field. He's been doing it
since the first quarter, so he should be able to
take care of.
Speaker 8 (11:09):
Himself and you know, put up a big play this year.
Speaker 10 (11:12):
Okay, I'm gonna rock with Caleb Williams as well, but
it's gonna be for a different reason.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
I'm rocking with Caleb Williams.
Speaker 10 (11:18):
Not because of the fact I think he's gonna be
running around. I think he's gonna be well protected this year,
but because of who's calling the plays. Ben Johnson is
calling the plays. And one thing we know about Ben
Johnson is he's considered to be the most creative mind
in football. So you talk about somebody who understands that
he has to come in and be the man as
the head coach in Chicago with all the history that
(11:38):
they have. You talk about the man who came out
talking about Lafleur and talking mister green Bay already. You
talk about the man who understands what Caleb Williams, his
QB one has gone through in his first year.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
He is going to set him up for success. And
the amount of trick.
Speaker 10 (11:51):
Plays that Ben Johnson's gonna come up with with all
the weapons that he has, And with Caleb Williams, he
is going to ensure that Caylen Williams has a play
that puts him on a pinnacle, that sets him on
a trajectory that he needs for this organization to go forth.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
I'm going with Caleb Williams.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Got him with thirteen.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yeah, listen, I'm excited for all these quarterbacks.
Speaker 8 (12:09):
This is this is why I love.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
This because, you know, you get to see who you're facing,
what do y'all think, what do you talk about? What
do I don't see on film from And then I
get to see from a different lens, you know, especially
that stiff farm I can't let that happen with me now,
now now that it's in my head, I can't let it.
Speaker 8 (12:27):
Happen for him to No. No, but make sure you
got to get them on the ground.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
All these quarterbacks have great legs, they're mobile, and I'll
say this, they're young. So this is my generation of
quarterbacks coming in the game. So hopefully one of the
one of these will be the Tom Brady and I
can tell my son, Yeah, I sacked him a couple
of times.
Speaker 10 (12:45):
Hey, so all the Philly fans out there, y'all know
what to do. Get online, use your AI, make a
picture of boat stiff armana and whenever we going to
motivate him. Yeah, seventeen sacks in one day.
Speaker 8 (13:01):
Bulletin war, bullet bulletin.
Speaker 7 (13:05):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Do you know that gives you the extra fire, the
motivation in the game. You know, guys hang stuff up
in your locker and stuff like that. So it's all
fun and games. You know, we love this and it's
a competitive game. You know it doesn't want to sack
quarter I'm come touching.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Oh yeah, Jersey.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Oh so when I get my sack, I'm gonna make
sure I come inside it back to Jersey. I'm gonna
be like, hey man, this man I remember, I remember.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Oh yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
That we pulled up this photo because I don't We
can't talk about memorable plays and who do you think
it's gonna have one? Did you guys not remember the
hail Mary from Jayden d That wasn't saying And I
don't think that's a fluke. We call it a hail Mary.
I just think that is the player he is. This
is the guy who's gonna all right, put it on me.
(13:50):
Let's go with that in mind. What second year QB
do you want with the ball in their hands for
the last play of the game.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
You just said it, period, You just said it. It's easy. Sorry, guys,
I got to him first. You did.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Is he's so poised, like you called him, Nolan the
humble beast, He's just he's in control.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
So those late game situations, he's never rattled.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
I was so impressed watching him against the Detroit Lions
in the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
It's just the way that he orchestrated and handled the pressure.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
He noted coming against the number one seed in Detroit,
and he was just unfazed.
Speaker 6 (14:25):
I want him with the ball in his hands, lay
in the game.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
That's my job, the rout of the quarterback. Make sure
his feet aren't set, make sure he's unsettled. I'm gonna
go a little different, a different avenue. Oh now, now
you got me thinking, I'm gonna go Drake Drake, because
he's an operator, last player of the game. He's gonna
get me my best opportunity to win, even if it's
(14:48):
not the deep shot. He's gonna put me in field
goal range, and he's gonna understand the scenario. And you know,
as as my coaches say, Coach Sirianni, it's always situational football,
always situational football, and you got to be aware of
the situation. I feel like he is aware of the
situation after showing in this clip he just extended that
play and he knows what he needs. I need a touchdown,
I need three points. I'm trying to tie. What am
(15:10):
I trying to do? How has my defense has been playing?
And I think you know that'd be the person I
choose with the.
Speaker 8 (15:15):
Last player in the game.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
What'd you call him? A technician?
Speaker 8 (15:19):
Technician, technician, Drake?
Speaker 10 (15:21):
Okay, Well, I'm going to go to t arms coach
from the past, and that is Sean Payton and Bowl Knicks.
And the reason why is because when you accompany bow
Nix's competitiveness, when you accompany his arm strength with the
preparation that Sean Payton is going to have in terms
of situational football, that combination is going to be relentless,
(15:43):
and that situation is going to be a problem for opponents,
especially when he has a rock in his hand on
that last play. You know he's going to be prepared.
You know the play call is going to be on point,
and you know he has the arm strength and the
competitive is to go ahead and execute the play. That's
who all want the ball with in their hands in
the last play of the game, because I think he's
just one heck of a play maker and it's going
to be one heck of a.
Speaker 7 (16:01):
Quarterback in this league.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
I'm apparently just coming in as the Jayden and Daniels
fan club.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Well, I like to go off of evidence, and he's
already shown me that he can do it, So why
would I stray? See this was this was coming with
years of wisdom as a woman in this I need
to see it.
Speaker 8 (16:18):
Look at that can.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
This is insane. I remember we were talking about this.
Speaker 8 (16:22):
It was a late game two I think they.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
I mean, it was just nuts. It woke everybody up.
Unbelievable game, unbelievable end. And what was that fifty two
yards to Noah Brown?
Speaker 7 (16:34):
Harrie, you hold yours up because you don't need What
are you doing?
Speaker 10 (16:37):
I'm keeping these because obviously you don't need these ones.
No I know, you just keep the one that you got.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
It's efficiency, it's good for the environment. I only need one.
We got one more question thought.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Since it's still vacation season, as evidenced by the vacation braids,
which second year quarterback would you want to go on
summer vacation with?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
And to where.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
I'm going down to the A Okay, yeah, Michael Penni Jr.
We're not going anywhere else either. We're gonna stay in Atlanta.
I'm not gonna say too much, but we're gonna eat
some really good food, hit the hit the club.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
You feel me.
Speaker 6 (17:16):
I'm with Michael Pennick.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
I was gonna go a whole different avenue just because
I feel like he's gonna take me on like excursions.
We're gonna you know, outdoors outdoors stuff because I'm a
Southern kid, so I want to do JJ.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
I know he camping.
Speaker 8 (17:32):
Yeah, he's gonna take me camping. We might go hunting,
we might do a couple of little things. Played them, played.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Them in the Orange Bowl, and he's the IMG kid,
so I feel like we'll go do something fun.
Speaker 6 (17:41):
Part like that.
Speaker 8 (17:45):
It's it's all right. It's gonna be one hundred percent
of time that I could get him back. Yeah, you remember,
you remember you miss Oh yeah, that's really the reason
why I want to go on vacation with him.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
But now, it's really the plays that you missed that
stick in your head forever, man, and you know, as veterans,
y'all know that's That's one of the things.
Speaker 8 (18:03):
It's not the sex that I make. Is the sets
that I missed that just haunt me that you wake.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
Up at night.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Listen to. Not let Nolan take you into the woods.
Speaker 10 (18:18):
I'm gonna go with with Drizzy Drake, Okay. And the
reason why I'm gonna go with Drizzy Drake May is
because I feel like he's so butting up that I
feel like, whenever he decides to go party, he's going
to just let it loose, right, He's gonna let it loose.
He's in North Carolina, boy, you know what I'm saying.
He's up there in the northeast. You talk about deep
sea fishing, I feel like he would want to fish.
So where we want to go, I don't know, somewhere
somewhere tropical where they got some deep sea fishing. I
(18:38):
would imagine that he has to be a good fisherman.
But I believe that Drake May, when he lets his
hair down, he turns up. You heard him talking about
the club. Were talking about going out into the ocean.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Oh god, that's why I can't answer this question.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Or am I going I'm chaperoning. I'm chaperone vacation. I'm
Auntie MJ at this point, any any of the nil
have you know? Ah, I got a resort, Auntie Jai'll
take it. Y'all can go somewhere else, and I you know,
I'll just scope it out for you. I'll lay the ground.
I'm a bougie traveler.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
I'll let you. I'm I'm gonna let him know right go.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
You're right.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
She needed that the whole time so much.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
You're gonna say the club y'all are crazy. Wow, it's late, arn.
We woke up at club hours. Our call time is
three thirty A.
Speaker 8 (19:28):
Yeah, I can't do it.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
I don't know how y'all do it every day. I
got a different respect for y'all because when they said
three thirty, I said, boy, I said.
Speaker 8 (19:37):
No, they I'll say this was a type problem.
Speaker 7 (19:40):
Yeah, I thought it was a typo.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
I said, this is this is almost like workout, Like
this will workout drills, drills, be dressed it ready.
Speaker 8 (19:48):
Not a second, boy, second, you will not work out.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
All right, We'll keep you awake, don't worry. And all
of you are at home as well, because we got
a lot more coming up.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
We have Super Bowl champion Lowland Smith Junior still very
much in it, bringing the adrenaline. He's going to take
us back to real have some memorable moments from his
and the Eagles fiants twenty four season.
Speaker 7 (20:12):
The Eagles defense has been terrific.
Speaker 10 (20:15):
We've been domaining all you you mentioned Quinnyon, you mentioned Coop.
Speaker 9 (20:20):
It's Kaylon Carter can't block him, suck one first team
all through intercept, the sleep took its cool hot, no
long chop within these games not sound up a pen.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Eagles Tama raised in the snow because are born to go.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Julian, who are you tinking?
Speaker 10 (20:44):
These young players in Philadelphia, They've been incredible.
Speaker 7 (20:48):
Cropped up by Jalen Carter.
Speaker 9 (20:50):
It's inter Jayons has pumps down South Eagles fans savor ite.
Speaker 5 (20:58):
And we joined what even now, I think it's better
if you're going got.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
What an amazing year for you knowing in your Eagles.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
I need you to take us there because we watched along.
I was at a couple of the games last year.
But for you, what was that season like to go
through that and then winning Super Bowl fifty nine?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Man, I'll say the ebbs and flows of the season,
the ups and downs when we started two and two,
and it brought us closer together when we lost, when
we lost by the little things. You know, when they
talk about the little things, if we would have did
this here, we would have.
Speaker 7 (21:34):
Did that there.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
That just brought us closer together.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
And then the team's success, Man, when we started rolling
and guys started believing and geling and stuff like that.
And you know, we seen all the clips when offensive
players making players. You see the whole defensive sideline just
erupts and goes up, and you know, and the same
thing for us, when we make a play on defense,
the whole offensive erupts and it's just, man, just that
(21:57):
connection piece to geling together. Man, it was fun and
I just I want to pick up where we left off.
I'm not talking about wins. I'm not talking about that stuff.
I'm talking about the connection piece to communication. Like if
Lane blocking someone the whole game and he locked him up,
I'm coming when he comes to the side like keep
doing it, keep doing it, Like look just that, just
that on and off the field stuff that you know,
(22:17):
the little things that you don't see on camera.
Speaker 8 (22:19):
So I can't wait for that part of the game.
Speaker 7 (22:21):
You see.
Speaker 8 (22:21):
That puts a bigger smile on my page.
Speaker 9 (22:24):
My guys.
Speaker 5 (22:26):
I was with the defensive quarterator of Big Fangio down
in Miami for a season. I have a ton of
respect for him. He's a brilliant defensive mind. You guys,
you and the and the defense were a huge part
of the success y'all had in the regular season and
especially in the playoffs. What really clicked for you guys
on the defensive side of the ball man, I'll say,
just like you said, man, coach Vangiel. Coach Vangiel coach
(22:47):
is one of the.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Best, and we'll all be on the same page and
we'll all see it through the same lens. And he's
one of those one of those coaches that if y'all
all saw it like that, then y'all play football. And
you can't ask for anything more and all he the
only thing he asks for us is effort at hardware
and the lead.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
You know, we're going to bring that every day.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
So when you ask for f and and hard work
and he putting us in the right spots, it's so
hard not to you know, just be great, just go
out there. And he tell us to be yourself. And
I love coach Vanjieol when he tells me that, just
be yourself. And Nolan just played football. Just be a
good football player. You don't have to do this, you
don't have to do that, just play football.
Speaker 10 (23:24):
Love it all right, man, You guys just came back
to Mini camp, right and but this time you guys
came back at Super Bowl Champs. All right, and so
but coach Nick Sirianni had this to say about turning
the page.
Speaker 11 (23:36):
So first I want to say, the celebration is over. Okay,
the celebration is over. Preparation is here. Celebration is over.
Preparation is here. As we continue through here. Last year,
as we went, as we came into the twenty twenty
four season, there was a lot that we talked about
of handling adversity.
Speaker 7 (23:56):
Now it's a little different.
Speaker 11 (23:57):
You got to handle success, right, It's a different it's
a different animal, right, You got to handle success everyone
right now now, right for the guys that have been here,
are telling you how good you are. Tree praised like perfume.
Sniff it, don't drink it, it's poison.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Oh good advice for life.
Speaker 10 (24:18):
We side to side real quick, hold on, I gotta
turn up no seriously, hey, coach Sirianni. Obviously we see
a lot of him forward facing, but help us understand
who is he as a coach?
Speaker 6 (24:29):
Right?
Speaker 7 (24:29):
And then what is it like with him day in
and day out? Like how is it to happen as
a head coach?
Speaker 8 (24:33):
Man, Coach Sirianni is really he's the energy guy.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
I say.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
He brings a lot of energy to the meetings and
he gives a clear cut message to the team and
what we need to hear for the week. And I'll
say that message when he walked in that set the
town for the whole OTAs for gods to be like, okay,
like that's last year, just like I told you when
we sat down, that's last year. Let's see what we
can do this year and let's turn the page. And
just like you said, man, success is like perfume. You're
(25:00):
gonna sniff that. Everyone's gonna talk about how when you
do good and stuff like that.
Speaker 8 (25:04):
But you know, you can't. You can't drink it.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
You got to take a little bit at a time
and just keep moving, like we got to turn the
page eventually at some point, just because last year's this
year and everybody's hunting for us.
Speaker 6 (25:16):
So I love it.
Speaker 8 (25:17):
I love the challenge.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
What as we say at Georgia, We're never going to
be the hunted, We're always going to be the hunters.
Speaker 10 (25:22):
So what is one thing that most people on the
outside don't know about, Coach Sirianni.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Oh man, he loves to play basketball, he loves well,
he's a real hooper. He has a nice shot, Coach Sirianni,
I'm giving you your flowers, right, you do got a
nice shot.
Speaker 8 (25:40):
It is nice.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
I never told you that to his face, but he
got a nice shot. And on my Top thirty visit,
we shot back and forth. We played pig, that's what
we did. And I say, man, he got a nice shot.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
For real, he said one, though you didn't say who won.
Speaker 8 (25:52):
Oh come on, now, I'm a real competitor. I'm a
real competitor, man, I compete at everything.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
So yeah, I want, oh yeah, just a nice little
little follow that mama was a basketball player, like I
told him backstage, I ain't got nothing but ten points
for you in five good fives, ten points and five
good files.
Speaker 7 (26:14):
That's about it.
Speaker 9 (26:15):
The game.
Speaker 8 (26:16):
Lift it up there, amazing?
Speaker 2 (26:19):
All right, we want to play a little game that
we're calling bird.
Speaker 8 (26:23):
Is the word?
Speaker 2 (26:23):
I can't sing the song? Can we do have the
rights to it? I wish I did? Let me just
play it safe, but y'all know what I'm talking about.
Watch family guy.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
No, and we have a few questions for you, and
we'll use your whiteboard to come up with one word
to describe it. So quick, hitters, let us know, and
let's start with one of your teammates. This was a
pretty iconic moment because Cooper signed the Patrick Mahomes card
Go Birds. What's one word that you'd use to describe
(26:52):
Cooper and his game?
Speaker 8 (26:54):
Man, not him signing.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
I would say the sign Cooper and his game electric, electrifying.
Speaker 8 (27:01):
Oh hello, oh listen, I had my other words written
for my other one.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Well, we'll start verbalized, Yeah, we'll start.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
We'll start verbal I say electric And he has a
lot of juice, you know. Man playing in the slot
is kind of tough, and he's he's going against really
good talent, really fast guys, and he's always had his
feet calmed and settled and he's always in the right
position at the right time. So, man, he's one of
those guys that you know you can count on in
the back end. And like I said, he makes my
(27:29):
job easier. I was just on a podcast talking to him.
We call it the marriage of the defense. You know,
you don't see it, but it's one of the greatest
marriages ever. How to back in and the front end
work together. Man, it comes when it comes together, it's beautiful.
Speaker 7 (27:45):
That's love. I love I love the passion. Man.
Speaker 10 (27:48):
But there's one play that happened this year that everybody
was talking about. Man, is the Saquon Barkley reverse herd,
old backfoot whatever you want to call it.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
But what is the word that you would say applies
to this move right here? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (28:04):
See, I already written this down. This is the one
that I was ready for.
Speaker 6 (28:09):
I was flabbergasted.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
When I say, when I say, overly shocked, mouth on
the floor, look at that, I say, Okay, he broke one.
Then he spun and then jumped over another person. The
whole sideline went crazy. You I've never seen anything like that,
and you know, that's one of the guys in the
locker room that we look up to, that is one
of our leaders. And that's when earlier, you know, it
(28:34):
got it got a little territorial because that's my guy,
and you know, in the trenches we got to protect
each other.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
We were just talking about body guys. He was like,
absolutely not there. Oh my god, it was a compliment.
Speaker 8 (28:50):
I too can.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
I'm sure you know, but flabbergasted for sure, because it's
the spin before the back hurdle.
Speaker 8 (28:59):
The set up, the set up still to the or
two to the spin?
Speaker 6 (29:03):
Are we talking to jump?
Speaker 7 (29:06):
Yeah? Who thinks about that?
Speaker 6 (29:07):
While spinning with the back turn.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
I still don't know how they're gonna put it in
the man, but when they do, you gotta press a
lot of buttons.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
Now that that's not a easy the whole control. You
gotta go from R two circle to aid the jump
and all of that.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
So you're gonna got a cramp, carpal tunnel.
Speaker 8 (29:28):
And your hands just sitting there doing that.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
Let's talk to your quarterback. Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
He posted yesterday about his new children's books. What's one
word that describes Jaalen Hurts.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Hmm, very thoughtful about this.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
By the way, that's pretty dope that he has a children.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
But I'm gonna go for my niece, the one.
Speaker 7 (29:47):
Oh, the one.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
I'll say he's the one, just like his jersey.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
But man, he's a leader of man, you know, in
the matrix.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
He's on his own timing and stuff like that, and
he's cool and calm and collective, just like I want
my quarterback to be. I don't want my quarterback to
be too juiced up to he's I think he's perfec
And then when it's time for him to speak, maybe
before the games.
Speaker 8 (30:07):
Man, he get me.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Going, and he gives the message to every different game.
It's not the same message, especially I say, the messages
on the road, different places that we play. It all
plays together, and he just gets us going and leads
us in the right direction. You know, certain people can
push you in the wrong direction, but he's leading us
always in the right direction. And he's selfless, and you
(30:29):
can't ask from anything more than your quarterback to be selfless.
He's a selfless player. He's a selfless guy and he
just wants to help and lead.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
I feel like all of.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
That tracks like they're every word that you're saying. I
wouldn't question any of it. And we're not there in
it with him every single day, but we just see
the way that he moves and the way that he operates,
both on and off the field. So we love to
hear your direct perspective on Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
He is he is the one or the.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
One one more though, And this one it's not spicy
because I'm right here with you, I feel like I'm
going to have the same message. What would you say
to the teams that tried to ban the toush push
why don't you like fun things?
Speaker 6 (31:09):
I would say.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
I would say this, people are upset because we got
good at something and they couldn't stop it.
Speaker 8 (31:15):
That's that's the truth. You can't ban something that like
look like, let's.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Say they went out and ran isoh yeah, yeah, a
little bit more than one word?
Speaker 7 (31:25):
Is that? What would do?
Speaker 6 (31:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (31:26):
Would yeah?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
If they go out and run ISO a thousand times
and ALT gets ten thousand yards, y'all going to ban
the ISO play run no? Eventually stop it? And I
know that in practice, we talked about it. I think
several defenses have good tactics. I'm not going to say
who So they go back and look it up. Some
defense had good tactics, but at the end of the day, man,
(31:48):
it's really about those guys up front in the middle
and the determination to push one side or the other.
Speaker 8 (31:54):
So that's really about it.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
But it's a good it's a good football play, and
it's in the game for a reason.
Speaker 8 (32:00):
Don't try to ban a play because just because we're
good at it.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
How hard is it to execute?
Speaker 8 (32:04):
Actually, it's very hard to execute.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
It's very hard to think thousands of pounds.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
And every so that's the that's the key thing about it.
Everybody know we're going to do it, and you can't
stop it. I think that's one of the hardest things.
And a lot of people go about a certain different way.
You know, they try to jump over. Well one's too strong.
He gonna put you on your back and carry you.
Speaker 8 (32:26):
They try to.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Submarine our linement. Well one gonna jump over because he
does squat five hundreds.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
So I'll say it's on.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
It's the quarterback and center exchange, and it's a lot
that goes into it that people don't see.
Speaker 8 (32:37):
It is not an easy play to run at all.
