Speaker 1 (00:05):
NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
with iHeartRadio. Everybody, Welcome to the NFL Now, presented by
Ikea Patrick Claibon. Here in the nfl LA newsroom with
Steve White and Steve We've got players going into facilities,

(00:27):
actual work starting today, actual work starting today. We have
some you know, first year coaches getting their first eyeballs
and all players. You also have some veteran players getting
ready to enter some facilities when they're able to do
so as well. Yeah, the guy's changing teams. We've also
got one of the top tackle prospects in Paris Johnson Junior,
set to join the show this hour. But let's start
the show with what is new right now coming into

(00:48):
the newsroom. And yes, we mentioned that you get a
new head coach. You're able to get a little bit
of a head starting the Carolina Panthers under a head coach.
Frank right already at the facility getting some work in
some bench press's all some deadlists of pull ups, push ups.
And then Frank Wag's old team and Michael Pittman Junior
there walk men. Is that the playbook or the traffer keeper?

(01:08):
Tweet from the Folts, the Boys, Breakfast Club, Shahn's Rise.
Yeah's some great looking sunrise shot. And then there is
the news. This video Covin Curtsey of former NFL corner
Prince of lu Kamara, the workout from Odell Beckham Junior
was successful over the weekend from NFL network insiders Ian Rappaport,
Tom Pellisaro, Mike Garrelfolo and saying one year deal could

(01:29):
be worth up to eighteen million dollars. In there is
the graphic. I have to get some comments from James
Prochet about Odell, Rocket and the three to think that
they might work something out. As we look to Ray Lewis,
the Ravens Hall of Famer welcoming Odell to the flock.
This coming after O'Dell missed the entire twenty twenty two

(01:51):
season from a torn acl that came in a Super
Bowl that he could have been the MVP of Back
across the street from us and so far Stadium. Let's
get a report from our NFL network insiders, Ian Rapport
as well as Tom Pellisero. Ian tell us how this
deal between Odell and the Ravens came together. Odell Beckham Junior,
remember showed up an owner's meeting to meet with basically

(02:13):
two teams, the Jets and the Ravens. Then it became
pretty evident late last week that he was going to
go down the road with the New York Jets. They
weren't there on a deal, but they probably say working
toward a deal. We're trying to get on the same page.
The Jets schedule a visit. That news broke on Saturday,
and really as soon as the news broke, the Baltimore
Ravens were still very interested in Odell, were willing to pay,

(02:35):
really needed him as a number one receiver, whereas for
the Jets, behind Garrett Wilson probably would have been a
number two receiver for a future quarterback Aaron Rodgers to
throw too. At that point, the Ravens got involved and
started engaging agent Zeke Sandu, O'Dell's longtime agent, to try
to get a deal done. Until it's no surprise that yesterday,
right around the time when Beckham was supposed to leave

(02:57):
for New York, supposed to fly for his visit for
the Jets that was supposed to be taking place right now,
the Ravens struck a deal. It is a one year
deal with up to eighteen million dollars, which I know
the up to causes everyone to roll their eyes and go, oh,
what is it like ten million, No, it's pretty legit.
It's fifteen million dollars guaranteed over one year is going
to look a lot less than the salary account because

(03:18):
they're adding voidable years three million and additional incentives also
available for Beckham. So, after all this, after fourteen months
of being a free ag, after several visits during the season,
he gets a deal before his visit to the Jets,
and now the Ravens have a new receiver Ian. The
Ravens really did everything throughout this process to make sure

(03:41):
that Odell Beckham Junior was going to come to Baltimore,
from the constant communication the team officials had with Odell
to the very good meeting that they did have when
he showed up to the lead meetings down there in Arizona.
They obviously stepped up with the contract offer with fifteen
million dollars guaranteed on a one year deal plus reachable
incentives to get him to eighteen million. The likes of

(04:02):
owner Steve Baschatti were in communication with Lamar with Odell
you know who also was communicate with Odell Beckham Junior.
I just gave it away. Lamar Jackson was talking with
Odell throughout the process. We've of course talked a lot
about the future of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore, but here
he is in communication recruiting. You could even say Odell

(04:22):
Beckham Junior to Baltimore at a time that Lamar's situation
remains unresolved. Lamar also posted the photo from their FaceTime
right after Odell agreed to the deal. Potentially a new connection,
maybe the best receiver Lamar has had in Baltimore in
twenty twenty three, assuming Patrick Lamar is actually in Baltimore
in twenty twenty three. Yeah, that's the step that we're

(04:42):
gonna take him. We're gonna have more conversations coming up
with both Ian and Tom as we continue here, especially
here in the next couple of minutes with guys. We're
gonna discuss Odell because he's Odell Beckham Junior. We'll be
back with those guys. And Odell just saying we don't see,
we will see because he's dealt with the injury before
it came back. Was spectacular in his time here in
Los Angeles and Now, as Odell said, we're gonna see

(05:04):
We're gonna see how our folks feel about the impact
of Odell Beckham Juniors Lands the air Line and Mark
Ross joining myself Steve Whites to talk about the Steve
your reaction to Odell's sonning with the Ravens, Well, I mean,
first off, when I saw the money, fifteen million guaranteed,
I was like, WHOA. I don't think any other team
was close to paying that, especially since O'Dell has not
played in fourteen months after coming off that knee injury.

(05:25):
But we know Baltimore, you know that Eric Decasti, their
GM even said at the combine, we swung and missed
on getting great outside wide receiver type for Lamar Jackson.
But this kind of falls in line with what the
Ravens do, guys, because you look at their history, they
have not drafted great wide receivers, but they have signed
veteran wide receivers like ann Quon Bolden, like Derek Mason,

(05:48):
like Steve Smith after they've played at least eight NFL seasons,
which Odell Beckham has done. So this kind of falls
in line when they're signing an outside wide receiver. We
know the potential for Odell to be dynamic, and Odell
is also smart. Besides the money he could have had,
Aaron Rodgers should throw the ball to him. He's not
going to Baltimore to catch the ball from anybody other

(06:09):
than Lamar Jackson. So I think this is design where
Lamar and Odell are going to be part of this
connection potentially do some dynamic things in Baltimore. Yeah, Steve, look,
I was part of drafted Odell with the Giants. I'm
always rooting for him. I'm glad he secured that bag,
and I actually talked about this in training camp. Thought
it would be a great fit when we talked about

(06:30):
this in training camp for Odell to go to Baltimore
with Lamar, But at this stage in his career, I
think this might not be the best place. Is he
has to be the number one receiver. I think they
he needed to go to a place where there was
already established number one and Odell can really just be
a spot player and just bringing his dynamic play if

(06:50):
that is still left thirty years old. We talked about
coming off to two ACL, so I think another spot
would have been a little bit better for him at
this point. The Ravens should not be done. They should
still be trying to replenish that wide receiver group. As
Steve mentioned, they've kind of going this route with the
veterans and missed on young guys that hasn't proven to
be a great formula. And just for Lamar, I don't

(07:13):
think this really changes Lamar Lamarci's Odell signs like, all right,
let me run in here and go sign my contract.
I think Lamar is still looking at it as book.
I'm happy for my guy right there that he got
his bag, but that doesn't really change his negotiations and everything.
He's kind of dug into and his philosophy of what
he's trying to get. So we keep mentioning if Lamar
is there, If Lamar is there, I don't think this

(07:34):
changes a lot with his contract negotiations. I hope it
gets done. I hope we see these two guys together,
but this still might be a while. Lance, Yeah, certainly,
I hope. Yeah. O'Dell is certainly hoping Lance that this
Lamar is ultimately back. But as we look, as you know,
Mark was a part of that group that drafted Odell,
he's got the catch memorialized immediately behind him in his shot.

(07:57):
The folks great placement there. Mark. The folks at Owen's
Mills would like to facilitate more of what Mark Ross
did in bringing him more talent. How do the Ravens
approach the draft now that they have Odell on the roster, Well,
I think Mark related out perfectly. I think you still
have to look at wide receiver. Do you change priority?
Maybe you you know, you might open up the priority

(08:17):
from just wide receiver to wide receiver in defensive line
and you can take a look at, you know, another
position as well, maybe be Jean Robinson as a thought,
as a as a guy who's going to become the
next guy to the next guy up, who's healthy because
they have had a hard time keeping Dobbin's healthy. But
you know, for me, you look at the roster composition,
at the wide receiver position, you still don't really have

(08:40):
that guy. You really don't And I think it's still
a concern. You're bringing Aglar and you're hoping he's the guy. Brand.
You have older player, you have younger players in the background.
You have an older Odell Beckham coming off the injuries
as you just mentioned. I think right now you're most
dangerous at the tight end position, and so really I
think this is just an opportunity to me to convince

(09:01):
Lamar to come back and play on that tag and
play this year out and really buy some more time
for Eric to Coston the Ravens to decide what they're
gonna do along with what Lamar is going to do.
So I think oh BJ definitely helps that case, but
I still think wide receiver has to be a consideration
within their first three picks. No long way to go
till we get to the NFL Draft, a couple of
weeks before things get started. The Ravens have a chance

(09:23):
to sign some more players perhaps, but the one player,
of course that plays the most into the circumstance will
be Lamar Jackson. We'll see how things go. Thanks to
Mark and Lance. I'll be back with us as we
continue here on NFL. Now, let's get some more news
from around the league. Get Ian Rappaport and Tom Pellicero
beck as we've got some more visits guys. Well, let's
start with the potential number one overall pick, Bryce Young

(09:46):
from Alabama. One of figure, it's going to be one
of two, him or CJ. Stroud going on with the
other presumably going too. So the Carolina Panthers are going
to host Bryce Young. That is going to be Tuesday,
So fly today then end up in Carolina on Tuesday.
They are currently doing all of the homework looking at
the top quarterbacks before they have to make it. As

(10:06):
they're pretty open. They made the trade, then they want
to narrow down their choices, really come up with some
sort of answer at some point before the draft. Who
is going to be the number one overall selections Chernally,
Bryce Young is in the mix, he said, when I
know they like a lot. This is going to help
them get to know him a little bit better. They've
also met with him at his pro day. They've also

(10:28):
met with him at other time. This is an organization
there's a lot about Bryce Young, but certainly tom this
visit is big for the team that happens to now
hold that first overall selection. I mean, I think it's
fair to say there's been a feeling within the league
that Bryce Young may well be the number one pick
to Carolina. But this is all part of the process
they wanted to go through with all the quarterbacks through this,

(10:50):
which is go in spend time with them. The night
before their pro day. Obviously, attend the pro day, then
bring all those guys into Charlotte, just to make sure
they're making the right decision, given that this is a
once in a lifetime opportunity to have your choice of
all the quarterbacks in the draft. Another one of those quarterbacks,
Kentucky's Will Levis, also on the move elsewhere today. He
is headed to Nashville for a visit on Tuesday with

(11:13):
the Titans. Now, this is an interesting one here. The
Titans are doing their due diligence on all the top prospects,
making sure that they're prepared for any scenario. At number eleven,
Will Lovis is certainly as somebody who from a physical standpoint,
brings a lot to the table. Teams are working through
this process, spending extra time with Levis just to understand

(11:34):
how he operates. That's what the Titans are doing in
this case as well, bringing him in Tennessee. Yeah, I
mentioned the Carolina Panthers having thresh shut in tomorrow. I
actually have someone in right now. According to our friend
Camwelf that is Anthony Richardson, the Florida quarterback, another surefire
first rounder visiting with the Carolina Panthers today potentially in

(11:54):
the mix there at number one. A lot. I think
most people would be surprised for that. But again, you
do the full evaluation, you'll get to all the quarterbacks.
You have no idea what you're going to get when
you really pull back the curtain, do a thorough evaluation.
So that is what the Panthers are doing. Talking Anthony
Richardson today, then he's got the cult. A little bit
later in the week, more quarterback news. Hendon Hooker, the

(12:15):
potential fifth quarterback taken, someone who a lot of people
starting to believe will end up as a first round
ever see what happened, but that is the belief. The
Detroit Lions, who have Jared Goffin as the starter this year,
are hosting Hooker on a visit that is going to
be on Tuesday. Detroit has a top ten pick, and
then they have a middle of the first round pick.

(12:36):
Presumably that would be the spot maybe if they did
end up taking Hendon Hooker, or maybe it's something where
if they trade back they take him. Either way, showing
a quarterback who now seems potentially to be in the
first round mix. Yeah, if you believe that. Hendon Hooker
could be the quarterback in the future. Why would you
wait around? Go get him in the first round? Also
Ian saying Anthony Richardson a surefire first round pick, again

(12:57):
giving me a chance to lobby for the Ian Rappaport
mock draft. It's something I think the people would like
to see. What a publicly pressure for you right now.
After eight thousand, two hundred and sixty two brushing yard
sixty eight touchdowns in seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys,

(13:19):
he was released back in March. Just one of the changes,
the most notable change to this Cowboys roster in the
twenty twenty three offseason. And it doesn't necessarily stop there
in Dallas. As we look over to the editions, Ronald Jones,
Brandon Cooks, and Stefan Gilmore come over. Zeke there headlining
and losses, as well as Noah Brown, Dalton Schultz, and

(13:40):
Connor McGovern up front. So let's discuss the Dallas Cowboys
and our roster reset as we bring in Jane Slater
in lanserline back with us. Jane, let's start with some
of these changes that we've seen thus far in Dallas
this offseason. Yeah, they've surprised us a little bit. And Lance,
I don't know your thoughts on this, but they typically

(14:01):
aren't that active in free agency, and they, you know,
they did their due diligence. They to go get Brandon Cooks,
that wide receiver. Last year, his trade value was just
a little bit too high for them. This year they
not only get him, but they also get the Houston
Texans to help pick up part of his salary, so
that was impressive. And then the one that shocked a
lot of us was going after cornerback Stepan Gilmour, which

(14:22):
is only going to help make Treyvon Digs that much better.
Jordan Lewis is coming back from a leg injury and
so we'll see how he progresses. And then they got
a lot of the rookie Jarron Bland. What this essentially
does for them heading into the draft though, and I'll
see if Lance agrees with me here, it allows them
to go after the best player available. You know, we've
not gotten as many of the thirty visits as we

(14:43):
typically get in years passed. They're being very careful with them,
but we've at least heard from agents and players themselves
posting them at the Star and they're casting a wide net.
We're seeing DB's offensive linemen tight ends. And just because
they went out got Brandon Cooks and they've got Ceedee Lamb,
it's not scaring them away from bringing in guys like
Zay Flowers and I know, Lance, you've got them mocked up.
For Quentin Johnston who right there in Fort Worth. We'll

(15:06):
see if he gets past the Titans though, because I
know the Titans were highly interested in him. They were
at his pro day, he had a breakfast with them.
But just really interesting. They've shown a lot of patients
in years past and that served them well. If you
think about it. Micah Parsons came to them. They got
Treyvon Diggs in the second round. You could Archie Tyler
Smith was an incredible pick for them last year given
all of their offensive line woes. Yeah, I think he

(15:29):
nailed it perfectly. I think what the Cowboys didn't A
lot of teams will do is they will reach out
to certain players or certain positions so they're not predictable,
so that they don't have to reach on one particular position.
And I think when you look at the Brandon Cook
steel Cook still has good football lef it's just you know,
he's constantly on a carousel from team to team. I
think Dallas is still obviously gonna look at wide receiver.

(15:52):
From cornerback standpoint, I love stefind Gilmour, but he's getting older.
Jordan Lewis you mentioned that, I think you could look
at a nickel cornerback there. And then, of course, you know,
from a running back standpoint, you lose Zeke. You've got
Tony Pollard, who eventually will be back. But I don't
think Ronald Jones gives you the juice that be Jean
Robinson has, So I think running back could be a
real position and another wildcard slot after using Dalton Schultz

(16:15):
obviously would be tight end. But with Bejean Robinson, that
really is a move that would feel like a Jerry
move in the past, But that's a legitimate football move
to me because it takes more pressure off of your
quarterback Dak Prescott, and I think asking Dak to do
a little bit less and relying more heavily on the
running game, that's always been a positive for the Cowboys. Yeah,

(16:36):
looking at our mock drafts over on NFL dot Com,
we got six different mock drafts active right now, six
different picks at twenty six for the Dallas Cowboys. It
could go either way. There is that wildcard and the
boss man who ultimately makes those decisions. Looking at the
roster reset of the Dallas Cowboys, the coaching staff for
reset going on across the division in Philadelphia as Jonathan

(16:56):
Ginnon and Shane Steiken named head coaches back in February,
the offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator heading elsewhere as
Nick Sirianni's staff sees the shift and as well as
the transactions this offseason have come on the roster of course,
notably Javon Hargrave going over to Santa Clara to play

(17:18):
for the forty nine Ers in the free agency move
for the biggest free agency move, as well as there
was a return of Darius Slay that could have gone
another direction. As we get to the Eagles in the
roster reset and say hello to Stacy Dale's for the
first time today, Mark ross Beeck with us. Stacy, Let's
start with some of these additions that have come to
a team that was so close to winning a Super Bowl. Well,

(17:40):
and Howie Roseman, we trust. Obviously they lost some very
talented players and leaders off their roster from their Super
Bowl run. But I'm quite happy if I'm an Eagles
fan with who they retained and starts with Jason Kelsey
in the middle of their offensive line, I will look
go for them to add a replacement for Isaac Samalu.
That is a big loss. He was very diligent along

(18:00):
that line for these Eagles. Defensively, obviously great that Slay
comes back, Bradberry comes back, and upfront you get Cox
and Graham back, But for me, the loss of Javon
Hargrave is significant when you think about the production in
the middle of that defensive front, Mark and Patrick. You know,
eleven sacks, sixty tackles, ten TFLs. He had sixteen QB hits.

(18:24):
They were all really good up front. They were number
one in terms of sack production, number one and most
metrics defensively or many metrics at least top five last season.
But that's a huge loss to Seattle. So in this
draft I really look for them to target at number ten,
and they've got thirty in the first round as well.
But if Jalen Carter is there, I cannot imagine Howie

(18:46):
Roseman not taking a Jalen Carter type guy. And obviously
they have done their diligence, They've met with privately with
him as people continue to try to pull pieces of
his information. But ultimately, you know, you expect Jordan Davis
to make a big jump to Kobe Danett linebacker, but
I'm looking at that defensive front. He loves to build

(19:06):
in the trenches. And let's not forget Mark that they
have a new defensive coordinator in Sean Desai and maybe
this thing goes in a completely other direction because he
just came from Seattle Seattle and had an extremely young,
opportunistic secondary there. So it'll be interesting to see how
they build off of what Gianna did with the group
and now enter in Sean Desai. Moving into twenty twenty three. Yeah,

(19:30):
and Stacy, you had mentioned Nakobe Deane as well as
his teammate, and that would be a couple of Georgia
guys as we talk about Carter and his evaluation. But
over on NFL dot com, these are our mock draft
projections in the first round. Mark, so much edge, so
much focus on the offensive line and the defensive line
from our guys, what do you think the Eagles are

(19:51):
going to do? As we approach the twenty twenty three draft, well,
so much focus on that because the Eagles may have
had the best offensive line last year, may have had
the best front seven, and that's really what propelled them
to the Super Bowl. Of course, Jalen Hurts emerged, but
Howie Roseman has built this team in an image of
have a great old line, a great D line. The
first thing I would look for in the draft here

(20:13):
with those picks, as how he has shown the last
few drafts, is this man can manipulate the draft and
get extra picks, and get picks next year. The first
round picks may take seconds and make them into first
So that would be the first thing I would do.
If there's somebody there at ten that they really love.
Stacy mentioned Jalen Carter, but even someone like a Peter
Skronski from Northwestern I think is the best offensive lineman

(20:35):
in the draft. If there's someone there at ten that
they feel this is a Pro Bowl type player, will
take him. If not, then I think you'll start seeing
the movement from Howie to get out of that pick,
get extra picks, turned that ten into something more, either
in this year's draft or next year's draft. And then
at thirty it opens it up for a team with
a lot of talent, a lot of losses, a lot

(20:56):
of editions. There still are some obvious positions, as Stacy
mentioned that they could go O line front, safety, even
a nickel corner, and I think those positions, the corner
position in the old lion position at thirty are really
opens it up a lot for the Eagles to have
a lot of different options. Isaiah Fosky from Notre Dame
off the edge, of Mazie Smith inside there, or Clark

(21:19):
Phillips as a nickel guy. So a lot of options
for a team that's really good coming back with a
really strong core of players. But also with Howie Roseman
manipulating the draft, I think you're going to see that
movement and opened up to a bunch of picks and
address a lot of needs. Yeah, it's a wild to
think about all the talent that they have, all the roster,
all the players that they may even still need to sign,
the fact that they have two first rounds picks. How

(21:39):
he could go up ultimately if he wanted to. So
many different ways this draft. Yeah, three of the last
four years, guys, he has moved up in the first
round of the draft. So you're both on point with that.
It's Howie Roseman's world. We're all just living at thanks
to Stacy Dales and Mark Rossen. That big man you

(22:00):
see there is Paris Johnson Junior. He is Bucky Brooks
top tackle in the twenty twenty three NFL Draft and
second team All American. Been on the big stage for
a long time, one of the top recruits top ten
overall recruiting the folks at Ohio State. We're able to
keep him right there, close to home, and there's Bucky
Brooks's top tackle prospects. He's got Paris ahead of Peter Skerinsky,

(22:25):
and we've got Paris Johnson Junior joining us live now
on NFL. Now, as we see the tweet, looking at
the throwback picture of Paris, it's you and three time
first team All Pro Willie Anderson working out in high
school and here we are. What's it been like to
have a guy who's done it at this level, been

(22:45):
so good for so long, helped take you through all
the way through this process. Paris, Well, he's a legend,
and I think you know he's one of the best
people to work with you know for him being a
former player, and you can argue he's one of the
greatest to play the game a tackle and probably the
best right tackle in the game. So to be able

(23:06):
to learn from him, you know, he's been there, he's
made all the blocks, he's been in the situation. So
he's been a great a mentor since since I was
in high school. So to have someone like really to
kind of piggyback off of that, I mean, he was
the guy who played inside, played some outside. You've done
the same. You played guard, You're really established there at tackle,
but NFL teams love guys who are versatile. What do

(23:27):
you think your ability to go inside and out will
do for you throughout this process in your NFL career. Yes,
so just being able to talk with teams and you know,
depending on depending on the team, depending on the team needs.
I have the ability to go inside. I've done it
for a season. I know what it's like with my
size being able, it's a different type of leverage and

(23:48):
the techniques and the steps are different. So already being
in that that situation before, I'm able to take the
skill set from that and be able to be out
in space at tackle. So I think it offers me
to be able to allow it to do a different
things in space. But yet again, if I need to
slide in, I've done it before and I'm gonna take
care of parents. Obviously, you have to frame, you have
the wingspan, you'd said in the pastor more naturally tackle.

(24:09):
What was the process like to you to wait to
get that position in Ohio State? Yeah, So once I
came in, I came in to compete for the right
tackle job with Nick Petite lost his job, and then
I took that offseason with with fire. All I want
to do was just play. So for me, I want
to be a part of the best five, and that
meant for me to be at the guard spot as

(24:30):
a sophomore, and then in the God's time and that
next season, I made a transition to tackle. So for me,
it was just just just want to be on the
field and that's what I had and I made the
most of the opportunity until I took that spot of
left tackle. Paris were canna tell us about your your
college quarterbacks t J. Stroud, who's also joining you in
the first round of the draft this year. Yes, he's

(24:52):
a legend. He's my brother, and he's just a great
guy who first of all, but just as a leader,
but but just as a guy outside the game. But
you know, for me and for most of the country,
he's a number one pick, you know, just because his
ball skills, his ability to stay in the pocket, his
ability to trust his offensive line. I think that the
separate him from other quarterbacks a lot of people aren't

(25:13):
talking about is that he's able to stay where he
needs to be in extend plays to allow me and
to want to be able to work the pockets, able
to work out the defensive ends, which I think is
an underrated ability as a quarterback, to be able to
trust his offensive line. Now you've been around now two
first round quarterbacks in Columbus. People talk about the differences
between CJ and Justin. What do you see the similarities

(25:36):
between these two guys. I think the similarities is just
but you give these guys time and you know the
play is made, and just being able to play with them,
especially with the CJ, especially since I started with him
verse with Justin. I had some plays with him, but
I mostly watched as a true freshman. But is that

(25:57):
you give him time and ball's gone, especially this past year,
There'll be times where me and my left guard that
dining would be a block and a play on play
action and we look at each other like it's gone.
It's a touchdown, just because you know, he has too
much time and we have too much time down there.
It's a touchdown. It's the six yard game, you know.

(26:17):
So playing with guys like him and Justin have just
made life really easy and fun, you know, because you
take care of those guys and you're gonna win Paris.
I love the fact that you are a journalism major,
but you're a writer also, like a lot of people,
you know, they athletes have they want to be on TV,
but you you know, you wrote articles for the student
newspaper there at Ohio State. When you you know, when

(26:39):
you know the craft and then you're getting interviewed, how
do you critique some of the people who are interviewing you,
knowing that you will also have to interview people mable
for your post career. Is something you like doing because
you're a journalism major. Yes, um, I feel like just
taking the classes here at Ohio State and I think
just going through the process myself. But like you said,

(27:01):
now people are pointing to Mike set me to ask questions.
Is that it's really easy to see, you know, who
can relate to athletes or better and who can't. And
a lot of times you see, you know when athletes
when when they get a question that they don't really
like because it was framed a certain way. Then so
a lot of times they get, you know, an irrelevant
answer versus people who know how to get the right

(27:24):
answer that they want to use to write down. It
is because where they frame the question, and it's i mean,
like you know what I mean, you know what I'm like.
It's it's a skill to have. So I think with
me being able to play the game when I'm done
playing and I'm able to turn the mic back around,
I feel like a lot of people will receive what
I'm trying to ask because I've been there before. I'm
not trying to get too personal. I'm just trying to
get right to the point, you know, and we appreciate that.

(27:46):
Paris and well done and looking towards your career, of course,
you've already got your foundation. You've spoken about all the
sacrifices your mom made, selling the house before you enrolled early,
having the job change, I don't want you to spoil anything,
but do you know what you're gonna get mom once
this process is all done. Yeah? So um, first, you know,

(28:09):
I feel like my mom should should have a house,
you know. So she really hasn't had her own house
that she's had to live in for a certain amount
of time because she's been like moving a lot lately.
So I believe my mom deserves a home. And when
I was a kid, my mom always used to say
that she wanted a third coat. So I don't know
how much that costs, but she's been saying since I

(28:30):
was like seven, eight years old, So I'm I'm gonna
make that happen. It's probably I don't know if she
still wants it, but I feel like it's something I
got to fulfill. So yeah, that's what I want. There's
no question there. We can't wait to see you fulfill that. Paris.
Good luck to you, thanks for spending time with us
on NFL Now. Appreciate you guys. Thank you, Paris. NFL
