Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hold, this is what I'm literally it was just like, okay,
when you see the opportunity to take It's the Alley
and Donovan Show featuring Tampa Bay Buccaneers Alie mar Pet
and Donovan Smith. Now here's your host Bucks team reporter

(00:23):
Casey Phillips. Welcome into the Alien Donovan Show, and we
continue are testing of potential Christmas gifts, holiday gifts that
people could receive. And you had mentioned hungry Hungry Hippo
a few weeks ago. I don't remember if it was
on air or off air, but we were talking about
the days of your our old, good old childhood days,

(00:44):
and this was one of the games that came to
your mind. Do you feel like you're going to enjoy
this as much now as this is? It seemed really
disappointed the hippos stayed the same size as well, you
got a lot bigger, so that maybe the food was
cooler or something. I don't know, the changed it. Okay.

(01:04):
So also I feel like they didn't have names. I
don't know people can say they have names now, so
what's your name? I don't want to be the orange one? Hungry?
This is veggie potomus, which is not This just says
hungry hippos like the Sweetie Potano, Sweetie bottomless, I'm hungry.

(01:26):
It's perfect. That worked out well, seems a little upset
with do you do? You like your name? Absolutely perfectly? Okay,
So here's how we we see the rules. And it
was funny because right before I started us, there's one
yellow one over the golden snitch golden snitch apparently, and
that is what it says. I don't remember that from
when we were kids. I don't know if that's a
thing or not, but uh, it says that you can

(01:46):
play it where someone gets the yellow one, like game
is just over, or we can play it. Really just
it's all about how many you get not played this.
To be honest, I'm just being honest. Did you have
a childhood? I'm so confused by this, right, no trying
king now, yeah, I'm really questioning everything. You were just
face timing your mom. I'm gonna have to chat with
her about like what she was like, No, you're just

(02:07):
not playing games. Okay, So do we play it? Are
we playing golden spit rules? Are we playing just the
most most quantity quantity? Okay? So we have another option
of are we just like, do we release all these
first or as we play. As we play, I'll give
a goal and then wen uh what did he's called?

(02:27):
We'll do with that. We'll knocked everyone knocked the food out.
You're gonna have to do that one because because we
can't reach it, it can be a way to Yeah,
you just release everything as you start playing. Really just
go now, that's that's how you're cheating me. You're gonna

(02:48):
have me over here forget you and Wow. Definitely one
and you just beat us on all strategies here. You

(03:11):
did use one as ashes as fast as you can.
And it's not that you got to be strategic. I
don't know any were gonna play one more time where
we release all of them first instead of gradually. So
put them all out there and we'll release all of
them and see if that changes anything. In other words,
I'm just trying to find excuses for us to win
one of these because I don't enjoy things. He won

(03:32):
the jelly Bean game we played too, miss, he didn't lose.
I'm the only one that hasn't won anything started missing.
There's definitely some underneath. Oh, I have a lot underneath.
You really did kill Why are you so good at this,
the hungry hippo? You do? We're still missing one? Oh

(03:55):
this over here and let me get it bosh, alright,
love of group, let's release him, all right? So yeah,
I release everything? Oh wow, there we go. Okay, okay,
one more out of there? Okay, and you just don't

(04:17):
cheat it? Hung up? Bill blames. Why didn't I hit
the hippo? Right? Okay? On your mark gets it? Go? Well, yeah,
green baby, let's go veggie pots. That was a lot

(04:39):
of cheating. I feel like, yeah, all right, where are
you at. I'm apparently really terrible at this game, which
I don't enjoy. Can we honestly give in the win there?
If he's doing yes, well he won with just one
of them, so he was like competing against him. Chance,
that's true? Yeah, yeah, all right, cheating, Okay, this is

(05:05):
the last one. Just do one? Can just let me
just want one If you're not gonna let me win,
he's a way too competitive for this. I do feel
like they're all kind of like you over you know,
I'm like, I'll just if we just hold there on
your get that guns. We lost some one on the side.

(05:29):
Now I think I'm maxed out Wow, how many you got?
It's still one? We lost one? How you got out?
We've got the golden snitch? Okay, I have one, the
golden still six and I got six time one of

(05:50):
them went flying over the end. Okay, all right, okay,
it's all right. It's good because last week we established
that he's a really sore loser, so that's probably good.
We let him came up with us, We let him
right came up with this. Who came up with this game?
Someone a long long time ago. Okay, So what happened
if the okay, I'm sorry, what happens if my hippo's
neck break? You probably lose? You play. That's what I'm saying,

(06:15):
Next hippo, next hip injury. I think it is neck breaks.
I think that counts as alright, So do we rate
this good? Bad? Middle thoughts? I mean, that's my first
time playing this, all right, it was better? Yeah, that's

(06:38):
probably why. That's entirely how you rate games, isn't it is?
Whether kind of it has a very ping pong ish type.
I mean, not ping pong. What am I trying to say? Pinball? Pinball?
There you go? Okay, she speaks Donovan. This is like

(06:58):
how you said that you guys hardly have to say
a word to each other on the line when it
comes to games right here, pall, So was this where
with this rank of the games we've played, sir, But
what did you guys like the most and the least
of all the games we played? Jelly Bean one was
the best rate them completely? No, but it was. I

(07:25):
don't know, I feel like my heart rate was like
the highest. There was like the highest stakes to that game.
That was worse than the whipped cream. Yes, that was
the most stressful. You didn't mind the whip cream, you're
like the most first, then I like the whatever the

(07:46):
and then this definitely not touching the things through the
box that was that was our own game. That's true
you that one? Alright. We still have funny work coming
up here. On the Alien Donovan Show, we're going to
talk about what they want to wish for for each
other for this holiday seasons. Don't go anywhere, Welcome back

(08:08):
and do the Alien on Evan Show, we were going
to bring up the idea of what you guys would
potentially be doing if not for football, and what you
would want to do post football, if those are the
same thing different things. Do you have an answer to
that of a if you weren't playing football? Oh boy,
A couple of different things. Well, and I've said before
and don and made fun of me for it, but

(08:29):
so I think I would work. It's either party. So
from an early early age, I think I wanted to
go into banking and finance and stuff like that. And
he thought it was weird that I wanted to do
that when I was like younger. Just like that is,
I want to be a fireman, want to mess with
like just like like you know, pennies and stuff like that,

(08:50):
even super because you've always been a miser. That's why. Yeah,
there's a there's a Christmas story about named Scrooge. I
feel like you might pardon all is money. Wasn't a
normal kid most kids, you know, I want to be
a doctor, a nurse teaching, a truck driver. Oh that's

(09:13):
not normal. That is normal looked at like the averages,
but just saying though you got your little talker truck
like like, oh cool driver, my uncle drug truck. So
you know that's that's truck driver. When you say it
like that, it makes it better. Perfect, very cold, very

(09:36):
very sophisticated, Yeah, that's amazing. So that was what you
wanted to be with when you were a kid. And saying, now,
if you were to be picking a career other than football,
something when law enforcement for me, FBI agent, detective or
something like special agents smith big, special agents sman big,

(09:58):
you get paid more for that. I think there's like
tiny average and I forget like lieutenant and all these things.
It's not just big. So do you feel like you
could you could do this? Absolutely? Why not? I heard
I have a source that told me that you guys
got to do some police type training. And who is

(10:21):
your source? I'm a reporter. I don't give up my sources.
I was actually pretty good. No, my source, No, it
was close to Donovan, because close to me, because hold on,
after the training, Donovan is like Ali sucked, Like Ali
wasn't very whatever. You weren't you? You were terrible. They

(10:43):
got out the car, they came out, guns and blazing,
and you just so he was supposed to you, took
for you forever. So I'm pulling up on a traffic
stop on a car they just and Donovan waiting behind
in the car. I didn't wait behind. That opened the
door started blasting and I drew my weapon and then boom,

(11:03):
I saved your life. I died. I didn't save my life.
I mean I took one out. I died, and then
Donovan probably took the other guy. And then it sounds

(11:25):
like he has disfigured out. I think sounds like he's
very qualified to be an agent. All right, we still
Mark coming up on the Alien Diamond Show. Don't go Anywhere,
Welcome back into the Alliant Chef how he just wanted
to be the funny You're like, that's fine, everything's fine. Um.
So everybody's making holiday wishless right now, the presents they want,

(11:49):
and I thought it'd be kind of interesting. Instead of
making your own, you get to make them for each
other and or for some other teammates. So some things
that you feel like if you get to be in
charge of someone else's holiday wish list, what should they
be asking for? Maybe start out with each other. What's
something that Alice should ask for? Ali should ask for shampoo?

(12:11):
I have awesome shampoo. It's it's great. Clothes. I have
plenty of clothes. No no, no, no, so Fari sounded
like a homeless per dress, shoes, just the bare necessities dress. Um,
I think that's new cars, Absolutely new car. He needs

(12:35):
a Ferrari. Look incredible, you're trying to get out of
a Ferrari would take ten minutes trying to like fold
into one of those. And all right, so you're turned
out for Donovan m a Santa that could hold him
on his You got jokes, Ye, Sot, we've actually handled that.

(13:01):
I think that would be you. Actually, I think you
dressed as Santa would probably be the only option there.
So is this the thing that you would enjoy dressed
as Santa? Grown to be sitting on a Santa? Lab? Well,
do I remember that you actually sat on a Santa recently? Yeah? Yeah,
it sounds like you would have judged him for that. Okay,

(13:22):
moving on, you look a little concerned that he's I
had the opportunity, took advantage. Okay, you gave me a Santa.
What else? Let's throw throw out some football stuff, maybe
like like a Pro Bowl, maybe like, oh, look at

(13:43):
this guy to existence baby, I love it. That sounds
pretty good. What about some of your teammates? Pick pick
a few other guys that you feel like if you
could go holiday shopping for them? What do they need?
Cat needs a shot our sampo. Again, he's got great hair,

(14:07):
oh Man, and a razor. Maybe yeah, Evan Smith needs
a muzzle. God, I'm just not touching that. Let's see.
It sounds like he doesn't need to be in charge

(14:28):
of the list anymore. Maybe you should try to think
of something. Payton needs his phone taken away that he
is always on it. Uh, kind of got me. I
can't even think about other things. The Pro bowl thing,

(14:48):
we would just a couple out there just make rain
pro bowls on people. That sounds pretty credible. Okay, what
we're some of the best or worst gifts you remember
getting when you were younger around the holiday times? Coloring
bole colin books are fun. Wow? Wait oh you said

(15:11):
that is a worst and the best. But I would
say it's like not a bad gift. No, you give
me first of all, if you give me a coloring book,
give me good crayons. Don't give me the bad cramp.
You know it's a bougie coloring because not a normal one.

(15:32):
I mean, Michael Angelo over here needs the proper tools
to work with. So you hated getting a coloring book
as a gift, Yeah, okay, I think universally it sucks, right,
like just just across the board. Likes you like socks
better than a coloring book, depends on the socks. What
kind of sucks you're getting? Who doesn't like comfortable socks

(15:53):
aligned with gold? You got? You got? And then now
you've got odd socks. There's a company that puts these
great designs on socks, like you got cool socks. Trying
to get a sponsorship over this is an advertisement? Please, Yeah,
that's the other thing you cann't whish whish list is sponsorships.
It didn't work when you holler to Jolly Rancher, you've

(16:15):
got like a million. So now he's learning speak shot
out the jo. You're just why you need social media Instagram. Okay,
so what about your worst gift you've gotten? Gosh, I can't.
I'm not allowed to say it's an inappropriate gift. So
I'm gonna be at that and like let your mind go.

(16:36):
I mean, it's just yeah, inappropriate gifts. Well that's not fair. Yeah,
I know, but it's not. It's a family TV show.
I don't I don't know. So we'll save that version
of this version. Okay, Oh, we come back. We still
have one more segment here, on the Alley and Donovan
shows in Tokyo anywhere. Welcome back into the Alley and

(16:59):
Donovan show. So Pro Bowl voting depend on when people
are watching. This just ended Friday, which either they're watching
online potentially today or you shave a watch on TV.
So for you guys, when you get a chance to
see who all makes the Pro Bowl, I want to
hear for you all, especially on defensive guys that you're
going to have to face. What tends to go through
your mind of like, oh man, this guy totally deserves it.
Who are the guys if you had the pick of

(17:20):
the defensive linemen or the defensive players that you know
you've gone against the desert it. Yeah, So there are
some guys that you can vote for that you have
maybe have gone in the past that are that good.
It's like Aaron Donald. We didn't play him this year,
but he's that good and we played him two years
ago and three years ago. Um, so yeah, that's that's
the one I would vote for from the interior line.
And for us, I don't know about you, but I

(17:41):
just voted for interior linemen uh at Drusher but they
actually a defensive end. And then outside linebacker, which you
can get kind of confusing because like Lante David and
our defense is an outside linebacker, but so is Kleil Mac.
So I put honestly, for me, I put clear Mac
as a defensive end because it's just the role that place. Well,
that's why it's been so hard for Lavante to get

(18:02):
the Pro Bowl recognition that everybody knows he really does deserve.
But because he's in the same category with guys that
are getting Mac, it's like it's it's almost like they
need to redefine outside and then put that in the
category for the Pro Bowlers. But on our sheet, this
is not a a why not we don't put on

(18:23):
the flex power you got there, man, what I'm saying.
So on our sheet and we're filling it out, we
have four guys total. Uh, two people get two points
and the next to get one point. And you have
that for both at d ns and outside linebackers. So
who were some people that you knew you wanted to
put in there that I knew really that game? I
respect was a guy Leonard Floyd, who played for the Bears.

(18:46):
He played you know, obviously he was hurt earlier in
the year, but then I think he got healthy, just
been turning it up. And then um, I think they
count him as an outside line back at Olivia Vernon.
I think they went so but yeah, I got them
on there and then obviously the obvious Khalil Mack and
do all this stuff like that. Yeah, but yeah, and

(19:08):
that's I think it's important for me. I would just
put those just out. How big is it for guys
to make the problem? How important does that feel like?
And how much would you get that mean to you
guys if you were to make one? And I just
imagine that that is a pretty big honor. Yeah, I
think there's a lot of factors that go into it. So,
especially with an offensive lineman. We've talked about the success

(19:28):
of a team. The success of an offensive line is
a unit. Like really, uh, for just one player to
make a team that's not that successful with an offensive line,
there's a lot of sacks like that's not gonna happen,
just dozen't. So I think for offensive line, I think
you need to be Yeah, and there are I'm sure
there are guys that from smaller teams that they're smaller
market teams have gone on, but really it's those larger markets.

(19:52):
Larger markets put those guys out. But that's why we
need our fans and vote, all right, every year. Everybody
needs to get back here for that, all right. Well,
thank you so much for joining us in this edition
of The Alien. Donovan Chent will see you next time
with a very special holiday edition.
