Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's the Alley and Donovan Show featuring Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Alie mar Peck and Donovan Smith. Now here's your host
Bucks team reporter Casey Phillips. Welcome into the Alley and
Donovan Show. And as we've been doing recently and we're
going to do throughout until Christmas, we are testing some

(00:24):
of the potential toys that people could buy for their
I was going to say kids, but since you'll are
testing them, yes for people ages, Yes, game nine times.
So this is called pie face. Have you guys ever
played it? Neither of you business. Well that's actually that's

(00:45):
probably helpful for you guys. Less of your face is
going to get hit. So here's what happens for it's well,
I hate to break it to you, not realize how
this whole thing was this. This does seem a little
self explanatory. Have you seen this people at at all?
Based on your question, guessing you haven't seen it, but
I haven't ever played it. So what you do? It's
it's almost like a like roulette game where you have

(01:06):
to spend here and this tells you how many times
you have to click this, and then as you click
it each it does a different amount of times, and
it will come and hit you and I'm putting the
cream on it. It's like five. This is my name
is not in the show, so you're torture. Yes, My

(01:29):
my idol in life is Ellen de Generous and this
is what she does to all of her guests. And
so I am taking the rate of which on average,
like what's like a five and automatic hit? Not no,
not always. Sometimes it's one, sometimes it's seven. There's it
could be yeah, it could be a lot. Yeah. So
who's going first? Rock paper scissors? Five? Oh, okay, we're

(01:52):
both gonna go to Yes, you're both gonna go. So
Donovan gets to start us off here, all right, who
would be on the contract. This is not in the
putting the fine prints in Appendix B said section and

(02:13):
this is blatant. So you have to click these or
I can do it if you would prefer you have
to do it. You have to do it. Just put
as much of your face in. There's a can fit
and there you go. Start clicking those to come on
a little faster. Three. I'm kind of nervous because if

(02:38):
it doesn't go on the fifth, this sucks. That's paid
back from the other game. You playing the jelly beans?
What do we have here? Four? Four? Do you never know?

(02:59):
Get my camera? Not quite? Can't rest all? Yes, there
you go. You've ever been to the then this your
you're holding your breath to, which is great. Yeah, I

(03:22):
don't even know. Yes, yeah, you actually like it off
as part of the game. You can't. That's not how
this works. It's really not. Okay, well all right, that's
how this that's how this game is apparently gonna work.
That you just did such a shady job of this,
like what spinne, Casey, all right, thing is terrible. There
we go. Okay, and of course that's fine. It is

(03:46):
too far. Stop that is stop cheating. Oh yeah, this
is terrible. So yeah, cool, great, super excited. So do

(04:06):
you recommend the game? Casey? This is a stupid game.
Take it off. It's stupid because you wanted to. Yeah,
it's I think. I don't know what else you could
come on? It should turn again, it's not I can't
even tell if I have it all off. I feel sticky.

(04:28):
Let me say I feel sticky, and thank you. I
appreciate that. All right, Well, this is delightful. I don't
trust you, not trust you at all. Yes, I'm going out.
Oh god, this is terrible. Well this was, this was great?
So what are our ratings this gaming? I give it

(04:48):
a ten? Yeah, you jerk. Let you give it three? Yep,
what would you give it zero? Okay, there give it
a ten? So ap fairly. Whoever designs or win this
game is a very different opinion here. Okay, So did
you guys play a lot of games as a kid
whenever you like? Were you competitive with the siblings? And
was game not a thing? We used to play? Candy Land,

(05:14):
cerebral game trouble, okay, the like I have whip cream
everywhere that's so sticky. I don't think we play anything
else really spades, let me just say Monopoly got violent,
so like, there's no there's one game that just ended

(05:34):
with like someone winning and they're not being at some
sort of issue. Also, I don't think anyone there was
ever a game with no one cheating? Whoever was the banker?
Oh my gosh, which was usually me most of the time. Yeah,
at least you're tattling on yourself now, it's been long enough.

(05:54):
I think the statute of limitations has passed. Uh So,
how who was who more competitive? Of the two of
you depending a Well, there you go. Really, why do
you say that let's play something? Well, let's right, papers scissors? Sure,

(06:15):
Now do you do rot paper scissors? Ship? Shoot or
write paper scissor? Shoot? Yeah? I do rock papers shoot?
But okay, rock paper scissor says shoot. Rock paper scissor
says shoot, Rod paper scissor says shoot, okay, rock paper
scissors says shoot. Rock pai scissor says shoot. So I

(06:40):
like that. That determine nothing. Now you're really upset. I'm
more competitive. It's just like you were decided to do
that as a deciding factor. Who's more competitive that that
literally told us no, nothing, nothing. I just like it.
It does seem to affirm that you are very competitive.

(07:01):
I don't know that it says more than you. But
you are really upset at this and it's a game
that literally takes no skill and you're still upset, aren't you.
Well it's that and then also that I agreed to
do it as a test of competitive for those two reasons.
That's fair. And with your siblings, you each both have
several siblings. Are you the most competitive of the siblings?
I think so. Yeah, it's definitely the worst loser. You're like,

(07:26):
I'm the biggest jerk when I don't get in my way.
That's so funny. Yeah, I'm the youngest and we had
this Power Ranger game and my brother was whooping my
butt on it. And let's just say through to control that.
I think everyone's been there at sometime. So I feel like, now,
if I had known all this, I don't know, if

(07:46):
we've been playing all these games all this time, I'd
have been a little concerned about what was going to happen.
Game skill. You know, we just did Rock Paper Scissors
and you got mad. Yea, that made no sense to
play skill based game next time. Oh, okay, we get
that before I didn't get it, which I think no
means you have to keep going until you get it.
I think that's what that means. Oh good, we got

(08:09):
slammed a little bit with the melted whipped cream. Okay,
we're gonna take a quick break and we have a
lot more coming up on the Alien Donovan Show. Don't
Go Anywhere. We'll come into the Ooman show again. This
guy over here, his big job. We're gonna include that
in the show to show that this is your production

(08:29):
credit is that you get took a flap to sink
the audio every time. This is his this is his job,
So we're gonna throw that producer credit in there for
you this next time. Producer. No, no, you didn't clap
if I clap. This goes back to the most competitive
person executive producer. Wow, I never had realized how competitive

(08:51):
you were until we touch about this. I just want
to beat you in so many things now because I
don't care and I just don't can tell it. We
really irritate you. Okay, we want to talk about my
cause my cleats. You guys both participate it in this
last game, don wand will start with you. Tell us
what your cleats represented. Were you prettyumped with how they
turned out? I was? They came out pretty cool. It
is sold by stars, did them um autism speaks? And

(09:11):
I had my nephew names on there and then the
kids that are the family that I took to Lego Land,
So you know, it turned out pretty cool. They enjoyed it.
And for people who don't know, you know, why was
that caused really something? My nephew Aiden has autism, and uh,
like I said, I had his name, plus you know Joda, Lynn,
Jack's everybody, j like everybody, so that's awesome. And the

(09:33):
Lego blocks on the tour and they were lego blocks
puzzle pieces. That's awesome, that's really great. They were cool
and they were very color they matched our color Rush uniform. Yeah,
because they were read at the top. And then when
another stuff, that's pretty good. How about you? What yours about? So?
I represented the National CMV Foundation, which John and Christen
Spider Attack of the box Um. John's our director of

(09:53):
player personnel and uh they lost their daughter Evelyn to CMV,
so they start foundation and I was just kind of
happy to represent that. It was I think there was
a couple other Kappa had CMV UM. I think Jason
and John spy tech Jason Light had sneakers. So it's
good to see. I think, I think you're a couple
of others. But yeah, that's going to see that. A

(10:15):
lot of people got behind it. Yeah. Do you like
how yours turned out? Yeah? Pretty cool. Actually, I think
they'll be auctioned off right on the NFL. Both of
you guys are auctioning off and people want that. Did
it raises money for the causes, which is really cool?
Do you wish that you guys could wear random cleats
all the time of just like crazy designs and stuff
I wish. I mean whynot. I mean it's just cleats.

(10:35):
I mean, granted, a lot of teams they want to
have the cold coordination and be black shoot team, why
shoot team, whatever it may be. But it just gives
us the ability to just get someone else's art work
out there or whatever you have envisioned on your mind
and put on some cleats that you gonna wear. That's true.
You don't even care about your normal shoes, so like
you have to if you're gonna do it, like for

(10:57):
like my cause my cleats, you have to make sure,
like the cleats are broken in before, Like I wore
my cleats like the first three three games of this
season or something. So I gave him use cleats to paint.
But it's it's a whole thing, the whole thing, Yeah,
which is why you took his broken and dress shoes
and we were already perfect for you were on the road.
There you go, you know, I try try see another

(11:17):
producer credit for him executive executive producer. We'll be right
back on the Alian Chef. Welcome back into the Alien
Donovan Show. Now it's time for What's Cookine with Alien Donovan,
presented by Tico People's Gas. The guys met up with
the Tampa area chef who taught them how to make
a delicious meal using the power of clean and energy

(11:40):
efficient natural gas. I'm Donovan Smith here with Ali, Mark
Pett and j C. From a modern Italian? Did I
say that? Modern Italian? What we got going on today?
All right? So today we're gonna make a Roman classic
gets called catchio peppe, catchio piper see yeah, and so

(12:07):
catchio peppe and Italian means cheese and pepper. As simple
as that, we'll call it cheese and pepper. So in
this pain we're gonna start out Donovans, and you're the
Italians Guru, I'm gonna let you start off. Give but butter,
yeah mone, so when you put the butter in the

(12:28):
cheese at the end you whip it together montecati means
to whip it together. Yeah. But this way we're gonna
do a backward We're gonna start with the butter. So,
so all is going here? No, just to to scoops
two a little cute two tablespoons one. Yeah, you know yeah,
to get that little job. Yeah, perfect, Now whip it

(12:48):
real good. Now. The trick with this is you don't
want it to get too hot. You want to melt slowly.
You don't want it to brown at all? Do you?
We are we friend us around the whole pane. You
can just let it, you know, all right, So you
want to get it going, let it chill. We'll see
the bubbles start going. So we're just gonna add some

(13:11):
black pepper to the butter, all right. You really just
want to toast the black pepper black pepper can now
if I'm not stead So you don't want to google that?
Do you want to? You want to go? Did you
google that? Alley? I don't know. I've seen I've seen
Alton Brown too many times. All right, then we're just
gonna stir that. Okay, Now we gotta pour somewhere right,

(13:34):
not yet. Next we're gonna add I have two secret
ingredients from my catchio pepe alright, So one of them,
this is a parmesan bra alright. So it's essentially parmesan
and reggiano cheese. You boil it in water about one

(13:55):
to one part, and then you once it comes to
a boil and all the cheese starts to get stringy.
You let it sit out. Once it cools down, you
throw back on the flame, all right, and then it
separates so it'll create a cream a broth, and then
you got your solid cheese at the bottom. So yeah,

(14:16):
I can't tell you what it is. It's there's really
not much to it, but I'll keep it. Let's keep
the secret. You know what it is, exactly what it is,
all right. So now the best part we have our
cheese cheese. This is a little more parmigiano reggiano nice.

(14:36):
So this is what's gonna really thicken it up, all right, Donovan,
Now what you can do. You can drop that pasta,
just lay it, lower that right into the water. Yeah. Yeah,
So you really want a creaminess to it. If you
have to take it off the heat, you can. You
don't want that butter to separate. See how it's starting
to come together. This is buccattini pasta. Have you ever

(14:58):
had bucatini before? But explain it alright. So it's essentially
fat spaghetti and then it has a hole down the
center so all the way through, so it gives a
little more texture. Shake it off but not too much.
You want a little bit of the water still on.
That's enough. Let it go count to five one there

(15:19):
you gonna I can pop it in, all right. So
now do you want me to take off you want
me to show you the twist? So do you essentially
just wanna coat your pasta? All right? Nice twist? All right?
So all right, so then you're going to get your

(15:39):
main twist. So did it give it a little bit
of hype? Alright? So really, you know, this is a
this is a very traditional way to serve this dish.
It's very simple. But if you want to get crazy
with it, if you want to add a protein, if

(16:00):
you want to add bacon, do we do you guys
like bacon? Hold a little bit, a little bit, let's go.
You guys are into it. Okay, So this is Italian bacon.
This is panchetta. Um. This is nice and rendered crispy.
It's almost candied. Wow. And we're just gonna sprinkle that
on top. All right. This is giving us, you know,

(16:24):
the modern twist that for Vicci has to offer. Now
we're gonna add some pecorino romano. So the first cheese
we used was farmer genre reggiano. This is pecorino. It's
a little saltier, gives a little bit more of a punch.
And then just for a little bit of color, we're
gonna do some chef and on Basil got you a

(16:47):
modern ly dig in that I need my life. You
say you need a little twirl? You do that? Come on?
I grew up in Long Island or did you you? Baltimore?
Is it? How does it talk to me? Herping balking

(17:11):
the rest saltiness pepperinas talk to me. It's funny. There's
not much salt and pepper in there. There's no I know,
but the saltiness and the cheese and the pat Yeah,
that's what salted. It's amazing. And then our cheese, our cheese,
sauce yep Italian caso real. It's really good. I didn't

(17:40):
get any more shedding my bike. Yes, that might be enough.
What do you guys think about Bucatini? Let's sleeve each other. No,
I'm not doing that. Good thought, but I'm not doing it.
That's really good. It's super germs. Welcome back into the alien.

(18:10):
On the show final segment here, that was pretty good.
You guys both did uh so big win against Carolina
a couple of wins in a row at home. How
big was that for you guys? And especially offense? Uh,
no interceptions thrown and just such a clean, complete game
the last couple of weeks. No, No, it was good

(18:30):
anytime you play, you know, to Carolina Panthers, who has
a you know, a great front seven. Um, you know,
you know it's going to be a battle, and be
able to go out there and do what we did
is huge, and you know we just gotta keep building
on it and and roll. But uh, really defense stepped
a big tom and they did what they were supposed
to do. Yeah, it's there's a pretty consistent pattern, which is, uh,

(18:54):
when we turned the ball over and don't get turnover
as we lose, and that what's what That's what happened
in these past two games. We haven't turned the ball
over and we've gotten turnovers takeaways. It's the same thing
going in New Orleans. That's the recipe. That's it. Like,
if we do that, there's no reason we can't win.
And it's crazy about you guys, were their only loss
forever and ever? Was that kind of crazy to watch

(19:17):
and realize as they just kept winning that you guys
were that loss for them? Yeah, I mean I think
it speaks again what our offense can do when we
when we put it together. I mean, because that game
was I mean that was that was a fun game offense,
but also I think there was defense had a touchdown
as well, So again like takeaways, like that's really what

(19:40):
that's true? Are you guys pretty fired up going to
this one knowing how good of a year they were,
having the division rival all of that. Oh? Absolutely, I
think is you add all out on top of being
at home, um is huge, so you know, be able
to do that and especially if we you know, sweep
them into division, it's great for us. Honestly, it's going
to be huge. That's going to do it for us.

(20:01):
On this edition of the Allen Donomate Show, thanks is
always for being with us. See you next time.
