Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, you guys ready, you are a real gross today?
Are you aware of that? He's not gross? Also, meeting
isn't gross. That's that's I know what that sounds like
in a microphone. I'm like, hmm, what me chewing? He's
gonna finished? J Yeah you finished show? You're getting all that? Yeah,

(00:22):
throw the stand over there and throw the headphones on.
All right when I was listening to so you know, Yeah,

(00:42):
it's The Alley and Donovan Show featuring Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
Ali mar Pet and Donovan Smith. Now here's your host
Bucks team reporter Casey Phillips. Welcome into The Alley and
Donovan Show, Casey Billips, here, Alan Pet, Donovan Smith. I
thought we were going to go with the shades the
whole time because you feature the great nice thank you

(01:09):
dad jokes for days. Um, were you just feeling like
real cool walking around? Was? I would grabbed them on
my locker and I just don't want because the bright
lights in here, they end up in your pocket and
then they break and then that's that's especially in fancy
set in New York. That's awesome. So we are going

(01:33):
to take some fan questions. We did that our very
first week. Now we're at the midway point of the season,
figured it was time to have the people be heard again.
We've got a bunch of random fan questions that I
really enjoy can't wait to hear. Oh not to get
to cheat. We got we got to get the authentic reactions. Okay,
our first one, have you ever gotten the ball on offense? No,
snapping doesn't count. And what would your touchdown celebration be

(01:57):
should you get the opportunity? So technically didn't get the ball,
but I got the Oh no, you got the ball? Buffalo? Yeah,
buffalo last year? Yeah, yeah, last year we had Yeah,
we had a lateral place and I ended up with
the ball in rample about fifteen yards. It is like
incredibly stressed that an offensive one should never It's not

(02:23):
for you guys. Yeah, here Donalvan for you know, like
just boxing one here Donalvan is my dream. The good
thing is he actually took it up field before, lad,
like he actually got Didn't you still have him? Though? Like,
weren't we like making fun of you that you could
have kept going had room but I just had It's
been drilled in his brain, like yeah, don't you know

(02:44):
we're always big on doing too much would have been
doing way too much. He already did too much for
having you're just jealous. That's what it really comes down to.
I can streaming up the sideline. Yeah, rumbling jungle in
a little bit more so, what would uh, that's that's
your only time in your whole career or just NFL
career ever ever period? Quote an interception before? Really? Yeah?

(03:08):
When was that? Um? High school? Nice? Don't even know
if I have that quoting an inception. Have you ever
had the ball? I think I've probably like fallen on
the ball once but never got to actually so touchdown celebration.
You get the ball, whether it's you fall on it
in the end zone or somehow ends up in your

(03:30):
hands and you run it in. What happens you have
to do a big man dance regardless of what I don't.
I don't know if it's Rickishi or the old wrestler
like something like just pay homage to the big boys.
I feel like I'd be so excited that the dance

(03:50):
would just come off as like super awkward and super
like just I don't think that has anything to do
with whether or not you're excited. For future reference, If
I do ever score, We're taking a fifty yard build
whatever we do, because you know, this is the only
time I know for a fact, I'm gonna hold on
the ball and I'll take it with him the sideline.

(04:13):
I'll put it in a case there and then no
one can touch it. You'd be pretty excited about very excited.
That's staying with me. We actually were running a Madden
simulation before the season of some of the games, and
there was a situation where you score. There was it
was a field goal, and there was some dancing. So
we're going to put that up because it was phenomenal.

(04:35):
There was definitely we have a clip of it, all right.
Our next question we have who would play you in
a movie? Big black guy with a beard run them?
Who played the dude in the who played dude in

(04:55):
the blind Side? That's amazing, No, he's too fit for me.
Uh the guy who played kill Monger And uh oh yeah,
that's not it either. Man. Maybe like a young Ashton Coacher.

(05:17):
Heck no, like that seventies show, you know, just like
Mary Kay And actually for you remember only now Rally
is a little kid, because apparently it's a little bit different.
No one can plaining me about me. Yeah, look at that,
just an original celebrity crash. That's just a trap question.

(05:42):
Very good comes from that's not accurate. Maybe your celebrity
crush will find out and maybe they will feel the
same way. You never know. I'll admit it ever since
for the longest I mean the longest, and my family no,
with my brothers and sisters, no, if anyone could hook

(06:05):
me up with Angela Simmons, I've literally been loving her
since uh you know Run's house. They used to be
he used to sit in the bathtub, and I don't know.
I just that's my celebrity crush. If she showed up
at a Bucks game on the sideline, I'm proposing. I'm proposing.

(06:26):
Here's what I actually think would happen. I think that
you would get so flowed, would be I would be
superl I want to know what to do. In your mind,
you'd be on one knee proposing, and on the X
you'd be standing there like, hey, help me shoot my shot.
People help me shoot my shot, and my shot has
been shot. As good answer your celebrity crushes, your actual girlfriend,

(06:51):
he's taken it. How about if we get you out
of it. And before you knew her. See what I
did there? You're all, yeah, I'm probably gonna scarlet Joe Hanson.
I think, yeah, nice which which shade of hair? I
feel like she's there's many scarlets. Whatever makes her happy.

(07:12):
That's so nice. That's so nice. Weirdest fan interaction you've
ever had, Oh, I have one for you if you
can't think of it when you had to sign a
baby oh yo at Turkey Time with a line and
at the end you can remember and it was like,
where did you sign on the baby? This was? This

(07:34):
was what you signed the I hope they took the
dip off before the baby did anything. You don't know
that the baby could have you know, it could have been,
it could have been what a way just dad jokes
for days. We need we need a little bunny. But yeah,
I hope that the baby had went before you know,

(07:58):
I signed, because then you could they just took the
diaper off in I remember thinking you missed a great
opportunity to sign an actual baby. We're going to sign
the forehead. Yes, yes, wholeheartedly believe that's what you should
have the nine months too, Yeah, it was It wasn't
like a new baby what about you. Any weird fan interactions?

(08:19):
Not really. I mean I think just like any time
I interacted the fan, they know my full name, Like
it just makes me feel good. But like I just
like so I'm just kind of surprised and if they
know who I am, I think some of the words
you enjoying people like this job, you know, if they
do this apparently, thank you. We definitely have some more

(08:47):
fan questions to get to, which is awesome, and you
can always send them into us as well. You can
tweet at us. This one still hates Twitter. We're going
to there. You go tweeted us here, we hold our
Twitter handles right there. We'll be right back on the
Allen on the show. Welcome him back into the Alley
and Donovan Show. We're continuing our fan questions as always.

(09:09):
If you have some for the guys, tweet them at us.
We put the Twitter handles out here. And then why
don't you have a Twitter? Vanah White? Nothing for me?
Of course it doesn't because you haven't had one yet.
You don't even know what you're missing out on. Like
I have an Instagram reluctantly, like most of the people
can call like number, Yeah, let just give that the

(09:32):
self a number will be totally fine. Um okay. Our
next fan question is if you could have any job
or skill besides football, so you don't have to be
qualified to do this. What would it be so? Any skill,
any job or skill, so like a thing that you
could do other than football. Well, if I had a
skill like yes, or job either way you want to

(09:55):
take it? Okay? Well, like being able to play an instrument,
you can play ukulele or any put like really jam
on it, like we're really be nice at it easily. Okay,
Just any musical piano maybe hope that sounds band, Let's
do it. That was That was what I played when
I was a kid. I played saxophone as a kid. Okay, well,

(10:16):
now I have a new drums drums all right, let
make it work somehow. We'll figure it out. What about you,
job or skill you could have in the whole world?
I don't even know. You got a dream? Bigger man? Yeah?
More than bigger? Um? Uh? You have about singing? Singing?

(10:42):
Get out of my head? Right? You know how dangerous
I would be if I could sing? Yes, which is
why I think God decided good looking face, amazing vocal goodness,
Oh my god, paired with that humility, Oh my god,
I sing my way to an alright, sing my just

(11:02):
right into her heart. You'd sing that proposal to alright?
Last one most awkward phase of your life? When were
you just the most awkward seventh grade? Yeah, for both
of you six seven. I think we had a picture
the last time that was your most awkward as here
that everybody got to see my most awkward face. That's glasses,

(11:23):
very low cut, lop sided head. I'll grow my arm,
so technically, I guess would mean your hair isn't even
because to be even if you if your head isn't
even your hair, I would dig him way too deep.
I don't so his head was loft sided, he had glasses.
What else that was fat? I like to put the

(11:48):
hands up in defensive mode immediately, like you knew I
was just like something. When we come back, we're going
to take another look at the cooking lessons from these
two yourself. Oh right back now, it's time for What's

(12:09):
Cooking presented by Tico People's Gas. Earlier, the guys met
up with a Tampa area chef who taught them how
to make a delicious meal using the power of clean
and energy efficient natural gas. How you doing. I'm Donovan
Smith with Ali mar pet Ryan Mitchell, partner with a
fresh kitchen. What we got today? Today we're gonna do

(12:29):
some honey, ginger, carrots and then a roasted chicken breast.
Sounds good to me. So first we're gonna start if
you want to start up peeling all the carrots for us, Okay,
I could do that, can do that, And then you
gotta cut some ginger outstanding, So we've already peeled it
to make it easy. Of course you're gonna slice it
long ways, and you're gonna do a long ways and

(12:51):
then you're gonna grab some mint. We're gonna do fresh
mint freshman mitsuh tablespoon um mint. That's a table spoon exactly,
like how do you know that? Experience experience the same
way you know how my hands are about a table
spoon your finger, So that makes it easy. Your blitzers

(13:14):
are coming and rotation, shafety, rotation, you know, slots topped
or not. It's experience. But but um, about a third
of that in the bowl. The third I got carrot
shavings everywhere. It's good, yeah, perfect, And then uh that's

(13:35):
up the mint i'd rather uh, I already forgot the
tame again? What's I'd rather shifting on it? But I'm
okay mince again. So we're gonna add a little olive oil,
just a pinch of cayenne pepper. You don't want to
go too heavy on that, extremely spicy. And then we're

(13:57):
gonna add some honey for sweetness. All right? How much
of the mentor? Are you perfect it? The carrots? How
you do it? Yeah, there's another knife. How do you

(14:17):
want cuts? So you gotta cut dand off done? That's
easy to top off. I don't want those. That's too
much top You've got so much top off. You're gonna
cut about a half inch thick. You're going at an
angle though, too. It's not a bias, though, Donald, make
sure you have no Donovan. You're going make sure you

(14:38):
have a small bias. I am going biased biased. It's
not biased enough. A little thicker like about right there,
happening in happening, haf take off from small bias. I
messed at my bias. You're pretty good. Actually, are we
throwing it in here? Yeah, we're gonna mix it in
with the honey olive oil, mint, ginger, and salt and pepper.

(15:03):
Why your carrots would better than mine? Because he did
half a mind small bias. Remember that, what are half
of those in there? Ginger carrots? How are we throwing
in the oven? Yeah, we're gonna put him on a
sheet pan again, roastrees. That was the only cook for
about six or seven minutes. Is everything a five wound used?

(15:25):
Keep it easy? Keep it we did like everything high heat.
You get a nice char on the outside and stays
moist in the middle. There you go, all right, Next,
who's cooking the chicken? I specialized in chicken, salt and
pepper on each side. I'm gonna hit the pan with

(15:49):
olive oil. Mm hmm. That will feel be hot. Whip it, dude.
If you don't get burned a little bit, you're not
a real chef, alright. So I'm gonna use tongs so
no one gets burned. And when you're putting it in

(16:09):
the pan, you wanna uh put it in away from
you so the little doesn't splatter in your eyes. Say
how I dropped it away truck away from news I've
done out of time or two? Can be sure we're

(16:30):
both getting oil? You know? One all right, carrots are done, honey,
ginger carrots. Honey, ginger carrots are done, which we chopped,
chopped them up. Chickens done chicken. Now you read a plate.
Let's play that, all right? So how are we going
about it with the rice rice bottom? We're gonna do

(16:50):
a little spice rice on the bottom, sprice rice, got corn, palapeeno,
red green pepper, tie in. I gonna take our chicken chicken.
I also would have been like egg slices, so that's
smart to do. And then we're gonna do a little
bit of our chaos law. All right, who's doing the sauces?

(17:11):
I know you guys argue for the sauces last time
go out. I'm putting my faith in. Let's do the
carrots and then we'll sauce it up nice with the carrots.
But they're see, this place doesn't even need the sauce
like on the side, like you can drip it on top,
so you don't need to. I don't know what it's called.

(17:32):
All right, what are you're going for? Just do right here?
So you want sauce, but you don't want to get
lost in the sauce, why not? Alright, greet it dig
in and that's how they do I don't think that's

(17:53):
how they do it. That's good find for our final
segment here on The Alien Donovan Show. So it's kind

(18:15):
of crazy to realize that you've only had one home
game in the last five games and technically six weeks
if you include the bye week. It's kind of crazy
how much we've been on the road. So now you
got some home games, all the home division games still left.
How important is it to go in and be able
to get these these home wins? And then I'm sure
as you guys playing offense love being at home where
it can be quieter whenever you guys are getting to work,

(18:35):
it's great anytime you can get wins at home and
had these great, beautiful fans that we have, of the
craziness that they go through and allowed cannons and you know,
you just just can't, you know, duplicate that environment. So
you know, anytime you get wins and let them be
able to go out there and enjoy it, it's great. Yeah,

(18:56):
those and again all those home division ones still left
has got to be huge, And I know that we're
at the midway point now, but it's kind of crazy
as you still have all the home division games left,
So what are the big goals of the second half
of the season, especially knowing how important those will be
for the division games. We have to win out like
that's just what it is. I mean, the NFC South
is a tough division. There's you know, Saints are playing

(19:18):
really well, Falcons, Panthers all playing really well. So for us,
we have to win out the division. I guess it
must one big goal for you guys, maybe as an
offensive line for the second half of the season. One
big goal, no sacks, no sacks allowed. I'm sure, I'm
sure the keepies appreciate that and everything. I mean, the

(19:43):
goals haven't changed, but again, how we have to go
about it has to change. So our goals for sacks
and our goals for rushing yards are going to continue
the same, but we need to execute a much higher level.
There's no question, you only still got the whole second
half of the season, so we're got plenty of time
to get it all, work out all those home games
and be a huge hope to see all of you
guys out there Raymond James Stadium as well. That's the

(20:03):
Allien Vinoman Show.
