Speaker 1 (00:00):
When the old man's good things like that. Yeah, I
think you guys get the picture. Yeah, this is a
pretty good content right here together, Donny, it's the Alley

(00:26):
and Donovan Show featuring Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ellie mar Pett
and Donovan Smith. Now here's your host, Buck's team reporter
Casey Phillips. Welcome into the Donovan and Ali Show. And
of course we have our special guest today, Bo Allen.
Ladies and gentlemen, in a special seat, in the special chair,

(00:47):
you get the hot seat comfortable. You actually said you
felt small, which might be the first time you've ever
said a looming over man. You know, I really enjoyed that.
You think, are sure if this set could actually handle
three lineman? So this is pretty exciting, a happy lot
of it. Okay, So first of all, Tampa Bay Bow. Yeah,

(01:09):
how's how's this alter ego coming for you? Do you
guys know about this? What's about what I knew that
you guys would? You know? It's just kind of alter
you know how there's you know, Bruce Wayne Is Batman,
Clark Kent. Uh, you know, it's just it's this alter
ego I created when when I signed down here. So
you know Florida Stanley. You guys watched of course, right

(01:30):
like Florida Stanley. That's kind of like Tampa Bay Bow.
So tell us are some um well, wore linen suit
the other day. That was Tampa Big, Big Tampa Bay Bow.
Umn't it? I got this tan rocking this tan, you know,
this deep tan that you can only get from living
in warm plants alive undertones, yes, all of undertones exactly. Uh.

(01:54):
You know I only drink orange joice for idration things
like that. Yeah, I think you get the picture. Yea
more of a Tommyhama give. That's too expensive for Ali? Yeah,
well not anymore, not anymore anymore. We have not had

(02:22):
a show since you signed your contract. Congratulations on Ali.
I'll take cashier's check for just money in general, not
for any it costs. I have to charge him to
be his friend. That's not true. Friends, Come on, man,
do you want anything for me? Yes? I was thinking

(02:45):
that you guys might want to pick some ways that
you would spend Alley's money for him if you were
in charge of the pocketbook. I told him to give
me some money to take him shopping. But we're gonna
find I mean, yeah, that's a good thought. I just
have no interest in. We get you five pair of
jeans and a ton of T shirts and you're good,
and then I will dang you about in your five
pairs of jeans. No kidding, right, I'm a bag, will

(03:11):
get you George. George is at okay, we're gonna get
you better basketball shorts. There. My whole thing is like,
I've got clothes that fit. Why would you like throw
him out? Or you don't have to throw him out
or donate customate Hawaiian shirts. There you go, a bunch

(03:31):
of a bunch of los exhausted just talking about this
context stress. He doesn't want to talk, so you would
want to get him close. What else would you want
to spend his money off the car that was coming next?
You dress shoes so that you could get yours back
he's not getting I see alien like a like a
nineteen seventy five v W bug or bus. Actually more

(03:56):
of the bug, you know, I think that'd be a
good look. I don't think that's gonna fits. And Bow
would want one now I'm a moped guy. Oh see,
we were just talking about this that you felt like
you having a like a vesper or moped. You could
you could rock it ironically that we're going yeah, not ironically. No, No,

(04:19):
it's a lifestyle. It's not. Yeah, you got to embrace it.
That's that's that's doesn't even happen with the tamboo. When
you two actually took a picture together on this last
road trip and we had the thumbs up and we
had you went with the finger guns. Yeah, even had
the snap with it, like a lot of different That's
a nice thing about about finger guns. You can go one,

(04:41):
you can go to. You can't do thumbs up, you
can do you can snap. You can you know, pull
the hammer thumbs up if you get this like as
you're moving, Okay, I can't do that. You can do
thumbs up and you can go out. That's about it.
And so there was a big debate you did you
put it on your yeah, pull and uh you know
the compete by land, I just don't. I just don't

(05:06):
keep you I did. What'd you vote for? I voted
for the thumbs up. No, figure guns is good and
all scenarios. You're at a wedding, you just get married,
you're walking down the aisle, hit some finger quick, you're
keeping here's an important thing. As long as you have something,
just make it your own quick drop what it is? Quick?

(05:27):
What are you so? I'm just a quick easy thumbs
up depending on which side, and I just can get
yeah this thing. As long as you have something, what's important.
I enjoy watching how I try to do that that
I don't know the thing is, it's dominance. I can't
do it. So piece that's a good point anyway, piece

(05:49):
on in the guns transition the thumbs up in case
you do, I don't have a thing, announce question everything
I mean I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, how I get
my eye brows exactly right? Any basic white girl immediately
goes to the hand on the end and required because

(06:11):
it does slimmy. Look at this, Oh yeah, look at
any photos that's gonna be huge. See all three of
you guys rocking this when we're when we're wearing the
white jerseys. We have to make sure that's what it is.
Is that the thing you're self conscious about absolutely the

(06:34):
white pants doesn't make it any better. Yeah, I hate
to see that. You see all the fluff you guys
watch yourself in videos or photos and ever just think like, man,
really wasn't my best white pants. Well, there'll be times
I'll be standing next to like a normal person like you,
and it'll be a picture of me. I'll be like, wow,
that's what I look like. That's how I look like
compared to all the time. But like usually yeah, it's

(06:58):
me and all yet because it's you're on football players
so much, big dudes, and you you know, you think
that's normal. And then we'll be next to you know,
like I'll be watching this video later I'm like, oh, oh,
that's what you look like. Gave me a smaller chair.
Smaller in high school or like was there a point? No, No,
I was smaller at some point. You remember it. This

(07:21):
is a good this is no when I remember, like, so,
I started playing football in seventh grade and in you know,
like youth football, you have to have a white strip
on your how much you can't carry the ball. And
it was like two hundred pounds or like hundred eighty pounds,
actually hundred eighty pounds, and they're like how much she went?
And I was like, I have no idea, Like I
hadn't weighed myself in a long time. And then I
was like probably like two fifteen. This is in seventh grade. Bro,

(07:44):
I'll never forget this. And then everyone's like, oh, let's
see what you win. Because I had to do it
for the white striper. I stepped on the scale, dude,
I was two in fifty two pounds. I was like
seventh grade, dude, I wasn't two hundred fifty mask baby,
Yeah graduate, yeah, I graduated, meant yeah to seventy Yeah,
wouldn't look good in a white yeah? Felt yeah? Alright,

(08:11):
we need pictures finger gun and then too. Of course
that's called a callback. That's the slimming post call back
over my head. Yeah, this is a pretty good content, right,
it's good. Yeah, I'm excited. I told you guys want

(08:34):
to be a occurring guest on this note of time
to take a break. We've gotta circle the wagons here
and trying to get you. Yeah, welcome back into the
Donovan and Our show. Have you composed yourself? Be good? Yeah,

(08:55):
I'm okay. You're right with legitimately crying after that last sement.
All right, because we have all three of you guys here.
Something we've done on our show is called Big Man's Troubles.
We'd let you scare your grievances. Worst two seconds of
my days. When you put on your socks, it's so bad.
You guys have this where you're putting on Yeah, please

(09:16):
get that over. I mean we talked about the white
sweat rags. Yeah, the fact that we need towels in here. Yeah, sweating. Yeah,
I'm with you on that. This thing I don't really understand. Well,
do you wear socks? That's probably got a lot right
now actually just has socks on on. Yeah, it's the

(09:38):
bending over part of it is that with the problem.
It's just you know, in the morning, socks dreading it.
Stand you just kick them, got it? How about chairs?
Do you trust chairs? No, it's just checking. Yeah, I've
broken chairs. See that's a standard one. How about planes,

(09:59):
we haven't talked about this. That's a good one. Yeah. Yeah,
because you're getting on Let's say you're you're flying, you're
getting on a plane, you're boarding, everybody's just staring at you,
like this guy don't sit next to me, and they
look down, they look up and then they walk by.
Or how about when you're walking and the smallest person
is in the exit row and don't think to move

(10:21):
while my head is scraping the top of the you
know that may me a few times. I will now
have more awareness to the big man struggle. I hear
that I do, but like it's their ticket. It's like
the first thing I do if I'm sitting next down
sitting next to someone, is I apologize. You have to
sit next Like I have to deal with this all

(10:43):
the time. You have to deal with it for three
hours and then if that bad, but I'm sorry. We're
flying together. Let's say we're sitting next to each other's
arm to arm, they're like fuse together, and then you
go to moving arm just kind of peels apart. The
fight for who has the arms. I don't think it's
going to be much of a fight of your next time,

(11:05):
or who whose shoulders gets to sit forward and who
has to I'm imagining me immediately just going into this
pose like please don't yeah, get big. That's an option
for me. I didn't think of that. Give a little
bit of that at movie theaters lately too, because I
have the you know, like the nice, nicer seeds. Those

(11:26):
are big enough for me. Okay, you know, still struggle,
still a big stre We still more coming up here
on the Donovan and all the show don't go anywhere
Welcome back to the Alley and Donovan Show. Now it's
time for What's Cooking with Alian Donovan, presented by Tico

(11:48):
People's Gas. They met up with a Tampa area chef
who taught them how to make a delicious meal using
the power of clean and energy efficient natural gas. Oh,
I'm alle More Pett with Donovan Smith and partner at
Fresh Kitchen, Ryan Mitchell. And what are we making today? Ryan?
We're gonna do some herb roasted mushrooms grilled steak. Sounds great,

(12:11):
Let's do it, all right? What's you wanna help out?
Cut some mushrooms? Yeah, all right. So first step is
take the large ones and you're just gonna cut in
half just like this. You gotta throw in this bowl.
Once you're done, do about half of them. While he's
doing that, we're gonna start. We're gonna make a basil
oil that we're gonna toss the mushrooms in. So we've

(12:31):
got fresh basil, We're gonna mince some garlic. We've got
a proprietary spice mixed from Fresh Kitchen that I can't
really tell you all the ingredients, um masamic vinegar, and
then a little bit of salt. And pepper. So the
basil I'm gonna cheffon ID is gonna be a very
fine kind of julienne cut right here, and then we're

(12:52):
gonna mix in a mixing bowl basil, balsamic, vinegar, olive oil,
and then you cut up from garlic for me. I
think I could do that. I'm sorry, Can I just
dress one thing? You said? Shimping? What was that? Shipping on?
Shipping on, shipping on? Do you know what that means? No,

(13:14):
take us that real question. It's just a method of cutting.
So you're gonna roll the basil and then you're gonna
do a very dense slice like we just we just
passed over that like we knew what we were doing
and we knew what that was. I'm not shipping on
the garlic, am I No, you can't. All right, let's see,

(13:36):
don't come? Yeah, sure, bro, like that A little smaller
than that one much smaller than that. All is good?
But like not like is there like a faster way
much faster like this? You just gonna keep your fingers
out of the way, so like this it? Yeah, is

(14:04):
that good? I think we're good. Here A nice scoop?
Are you just dropping in there perfect. It's about two
table spoons. More or not, we're good, okay, top, look
at that. We've m some great mushrooms over there that
you cut out. Job boom. Hold on that looks hey.

(14:34):
You'll mix us your hands, and once you get that
mixed really evenly, it's all some mushrooms. We're gonna put
it all the sheet hand took it for about twenty
minutes at five degrees. Twenty minutes five degrees. It's so hot.

(14:55):
I think we're good. That's perfect. Throw them on here,
Flor open up the oven right behind you and put
those in schoomen you wanna take us through some steaks
right now? Still. The steak that we chose today is
a surloin, very very tender. We're gonna season it with kasher, salt,

(15:17):
black pepper, a little bit of black and eat spice.
We're gonna season each side pretty heavily. And this is
marinated in a very similar um sauce that we put
on the mushrooms. It's got fresh herbs, garlic, salt and
pepper and olive oil. And we're gonna take a hot pan.
You're gonna want to cook it on high that way

(15:38):
at a sear of the outside of this steak and
really uh locking all the flavors side probably format mean,
if you saw it, there's better sizzle. There's a sizzle,
That's what I'm talking about. Its high high heat, all right,
So that's gonna cook for another three or four minutes
um on each side. No, Luckily for you guys, I

(16:01):
put one in the oven a little bit earlier, close
to be uh perfectly cooked, and we'll pull it out
and splice it up. That's a nice medium ras perfect
Were you preparing it fresh kitchen? Though? Do you do medium?
Are to go? Media? We started medium are all time good?
Call that growth steak and then we've got your roasted

(16:22):
mushrooms and then what kind of thuft do you like
with it? For me? I'm a Coconuts roger guy. Wow, everything, Yeah,
plating and presentation. I mean when it's on a plate
like that, it looks different than that. Yeah, you can
all leys cook anything and put it on a plate.

(16:44):
It's good. Your grilled steak and roasted mushrooms with some
Coconuts rafts. We needed some like green stuff on top,
like uh like basil or something like that, just to
give it because it's very brown. Just saw some but
like some you on top roll it. We're gonna what
is it called, roll it and cut it just a

(17:07):
little bit for color. That's good. That's good and all
you do. Yeah, in particular on so like a little
bit on the space, I like it, little more color.
It's perfect, pretty pretty. My spot is the best. Welcome

(17:45):
to the final segment here on the Dot of an
Alley Show. And we have the Browns game coming up,
which also happens to be the crucial catch game. And
I know this is a special one for you. Do
you want to tell our viewers? Why? Absolutely? Yeah. So
my mom, her name is Susie. She's a wonderful woman.
I'm little bit of a mama's boys. She's definitely watching this.
She's very tuned into all the media anyway. Um, she's
a breast cancer survivor. So she's gonna be at the game.

(18:07):
And you know, because of that, I've gotten very involved
in a lot of different um you know, breast cancer
organizations and and uh, stuff of that nature. So she'll
be at the game. She's actually gonna be involved in
some stuff at the game. I don't want to give
anything away, but she'll be there and yeah, wett teaser
that's another industry term anyway. Um, yeah, so I'm very excited.

(18:30):
Uh you know, it's it's always kind of a special
special game, the crucial catch game, and it's gonna be
a lot of fun. That's awesome. And how big is
this game for you guys? Now? I know that the
last three who have not been how comes you guys
have been hoping for? So back at home against the
Browns and they've got a lot of energy around their
team right now. How big is this for you guys?
Do you think going in? Oh, it's real big. Um.
You know the Browns they're they're playing great defense, um

(18:53):
as you can see just from the scores day games
and just watching film and stuff like that. And they've
got great players you know, all across the board. So
you know, they're they're a young, high energy team. So
you know, to be able to come back here and
Raymond James and and get a win is huge, especially
after you know, coming off of what is it two
three games that we've three three in a row, so

(19:18):
you know, it's it's it's huge to get that win
and you know, get back No One call and do
you get excited to go against somebody like Baker Mayfield.
That is a lot of hype in a bit of
a yeah, I mean yeah, he's a he's a mobile quarterback,
and you know there's a lot of energy around him
in that offense. And he's a first round draft pick,
you know, first overall pick, and you know usually there's
a reason, uh behind that. So now he's a good

(19:41):
quarterback looking forward to uh you know the challenge of
facing him and their their offense. It's awesome. All right, Well,
thanks for joining us for another edition of the Donovan
and Alley and now we got we got Donovan to
bow to. Okay, forgot that one to three fool foom foom.
