Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Patrick Clayband. I'll be joined by Marcus Grant and
Adam Rank. Coming up today, the fantasy trade deadline looms
this week, so we're taking a deep dive on some
strategies you can use to improve your roster. Plus, Marcus
Grant has five sleepers for a week twelve, and Adam
Rank has a surprising quarterback to target on the waiver wire.
That's all today on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast. Hary ready,

(00:32):
Welcome to NFL Fantasy Lot Patrick Clayboonner kicking off Week
twelve with Adam Rank and Marcus Grant. Congratulations to everybody
who wrapped up a win in Week eleven, including this guy.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Oh because he got the win.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Well, I needed points from Nashal denty and both teams
decided that they had had enough football for the night.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Were they doing the thing where they kneeled down at
the end, Like, what was it the Buccaneers they did that.
They're like, I now we're losing now, but God's going
to take a knee.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I mean, I thought it was funny that the Cowboys
tried to take a knee and then the Raiders had
too many on the field, which gave the Cowboys extra yards.
Like they're trying to end it and you're still getting
closer to the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
We promised there were things that were enjoyable about last night.
Let's get to the Monday night football recap with a
look at who performed pretty well.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
And George Pickens really did right well once he got
into the game.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
He was suspended for we don't really know late to
something like listen, I've been to Vegas.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I understand all too well.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Been stuck in that Southwest terminal for the entirety of
the day. I didn't score nearly thirty Fantasy points when
I did that, however, And that's the one thing. This
is the full George Pickens experience. Gets suspended for a drive,
scores a touchdown, it's a celebration penalty, like, yeah, this
is it. But this is for everybody who going into
this game. I talked about it yesterday. I needed to

(01:48):
shoot the moon here. It's like, you know what, you're
at the craps table. You're like, I need everything. I
need at least twenty but not twenty five. I would
win both matchups but taking one, I'll come out ahead
on that one.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
And then there's Dak Prescott, who apparently was missing George
Pickens and CD Lamb for that first drive because it
looks sort of brutal at the beginning of the game
of the Eventually he caught fire two hundred and sixty
eight passing yards to four touchdowns, twenty four fantasy points,
which ends kind of a mini slump for Dak. He
was below sixteen points in his previous two games. But
last night, granted it was against a Raiders team that is,

(02:22):
shall we say.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Un good.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
It's a reminder of what this Cowboys offense was earlier
in the year, what it can be when all the
pieces are there, when everybody is clicking on the same page.
Just the reason that a lot of us got excited
about Dak Prescott when he traded away Michael Parsons because
they were going to have to go and put the
football in the air and score points. So it looks like,
at least for one week, it looks like it's back,
So you can feel a little better about putting Dack
in your lineups again.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, how can you sit two of the top pass
catchers in the league. Right now, because you're playing the
Las Vegas Raiders, who did have a little bit to
offer on the offensive side, albeit not what we expected
against the Cowboys defense that might have been improved after
a couple of trades. Trey Tucker and fourteen point seven
fantasy points, including a touchdown that came on a screen pass.

(03:05):
In the second half, he was the wide receiver sixteen
to eight targets, four catches. After the Jacoby Meyers trade,
you wonder, other than Brock Powers, what what the receiving
options would be for the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Turns out as Trey Tucker, right, that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
And Ashton Jenty was a guy that everybody was anticipating
coming out here.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I would a pretty good getting stopped for the safety.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
That pretty much sums up the Raiders evening right here,
didn't even crack ten fantasy points.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And I and dare I say it, but his Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
General manager Jerry Jones revamped this rushing defense. You know what,
like twentnin Williams played really well, Kenny Walker is playing
pretty well. Like there's a lot of things going on.
I Kenny Clark, excuse me. I don't want to give
them too much credit. Because I know a lot of
you will be like, dude, it's the Raider. Okay, Fine,
They're gonna play the Philadelphia Eagles this week.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
We'll see what happens.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
But I have to say I was sort of impressed
with the Cowboys defensive line there.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, they would the credit and why don't you want
me to give them credit? I want you to give
them credit? All right? Give them credit? All right?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
They go out and get a very good pass rusher.
I wonder why there was a need in that area.
As we get a look at the perfect lineup in
Week eleven, it was yes, surprise Price Josh Allen back
up there, as is Christian mccafferd.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Familiar spots for them.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Probably not as familiar for Michael Wilson and Ted Rowan
McMillan and Sean Tucker, who wasn't the perfect lineup around
this time last year with the Shawn Tucker game Shawn
Tucker Game two point zero coming in a loss to
the Buffalo Bills and total score of two to seven
to seven point oh eight. So Lex predict the perfect
lineup for Week twelve. It's time for the ones. Who

(04:40):
will the top quarterback be right?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
You know, I'm gonna go with Matthew Stafford going against
the Tampa Day Buccaneers. He's had at least twenty five
fantasy points in five of seven games this seed. Of
his last seven, I should say, twenty seven passing touchdowns
this year, that is the most in the NFL. Fun
fact on that one, twenty of them have been to
Devonte Adam from the one yard. Now they've not, it's
only it only seems that way, but I do like

(05:04):
the way that they've been distributing the football.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
The Buccaneers, though.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I have allowed the second most passing yards per game
since Week six, and they've allowed the eighth most fantasy
points per game to quarterbacks this season.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Well, I was able to get to the homework first,
so I was the guy who got to pick the
quarterback playing against the Cincinnati Bengals, So that's why I
got Drake May. Six of the last seven games for Cincinnati,
they've allowed at least eighteen fantasy.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Points to the quarterback position.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
I say it that way because if Aaron Rodgers and
Mason Rudolph formed like Voltron, they would have combined for
just over eighteen points this past week. May, for his
own part, leave the NFL in passing yards, averaging nearly
two hundred and sixty yards per game. He's been over
two hundred passing yards in every single game this season.
Has also had three top five finishes so far this
season a couple quarterbacks, and finished top five against the Bengals,

(05:51):
including Kayleb Williams, who was the QB one in Week nine.
May playing as well as anybody and going against a
bad defense feels like a good situation.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Oh so you like a player against the Cincinnati Bengals, Marcus,
me too. I'll take his teammate as the RB one
of Week twelve. The top running backs don't have great
matchups to me, so let's get the home run hitter
against the Bengals, who you are likely to have heard
have given up the most fantasy points to running backs
this season. Trevion has had two or more touchdowns and
back to back games. That's the first rookie to do
that since Curtis Martin back in nineteen ninety five. I

(06:23):
could think he's our RB one, all right, very you're not.
For the record, I would.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Have taken Matthew Stafford. I think he's very good, but at.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
My running back position, I'm going to go with Kenneth Walker,
the third, who actually is coming off a pretty actually
isay actually as in surprise, I am shocked. He had
a season high twenty fantasy points this week against the Rams,
his first goal line rushing TD since Week three. And
now I really like this matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
They've allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game to

(06:49):
running backs this season. The one thing that I really
liked though, is they've allowed fourteen rushing touchdowns. There are
fourteen touchdowns, I should say, to running backs this season.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
That's the third most the NFL.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
So I think they, you know, given what happened with
the passing attack on a Sunday, they might really concentrate
on running the football this week credit restabilize that offense.
So I'm gonna go big on both Kenny Walker and
Zach Sharbanak.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Let's get to the pass catchers. Marcus who's the wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
One, Well, we're gonna go back to the sun God,
because one they're not playing the Eagles. Two, they're not
gonna be outside in windy conditions. They're back at home
in the Dome. They're in Detroit and I'm on ros
been great all year long, eight games with double digit
fantasy points. Yeah, he let you down this past week,
but that was his worst game since I believe Week
one of last season, which tells you how consistent he

(07:37):
has been. He's getting nine targets a game, double digit
targets in four of his last five games, the goaling
against a Giants defense. That's the sixth best matchup for
wide receivers this year. Six different guys have finished top
twelve against Big Blue. So I think the the the
Lions want to kind of reassert themselves or I think
part of that means getting the ball to Amon Ra
as much as possible.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
I think it's.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Gonna be DeVonta Smith playing against the Dallas Cowboys, who definitely.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Appeared to be improved on Monday Night.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
But I'd like to see some more, you know, back
off of what feels like a great matchup because in
the last seven games Smitty has played against the Dallas Cowboys,
he has six touchdowns. They've given up seventeen touchdowns to
wide receivers in twenty twenty five, So I like that matchup.
Those are our picks for the ones in Week twelve.
Now we had a heavy news day yesterday. Let's get

(08:26):
you a little bit of the news that comes off
of a week eleven here and in case you missed
his starting with Aaron Rodgers, who will not need surgery
on the fractured risks he suffered on his non throwing
arm on Sunday. He's pushing to play this week against
his old pals, the Chicago Bears. Whether he will be
able to do so is going to come down to
how comfortable he feels with a brace on it. Mike

(08:47):
Tomlin pointed to what will be a Friday decision for Rogers, Marcus,
is there a big drop off if Mason Rudolph is
the starter against the Bears?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I don't know if it's a big drop off.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
There is some, certainly, but it's not as though this
is some sort of you know, vertical passing offense. Even
with Aaron Rodgers right now, I mean he's averaging about
five or six yards air yards per attempt, so you're
not seeing a quick strike offense. This is not the
Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay, you know, when he had
Davante Adams or Jordy Nelson or guys like that. So, yeah,

(09:19):
Mason Rudolph coming in there maybe impacts it a little bit,
but you're still gonna see some DK metcalf to targets
and you can spin the wheel of Steelers side ends
and figure out, Hey, look, my new favorite thing, by
the way, is watching Darnell Washington just run over much
smaller defensive backs. I did get a little bit of
pleasure in that this next week.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, and is also supporting the fact that the Bengals
have struggled to tackle a lot of.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Folks this season.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It's not for real or mirage because Marcus Grant has
those glasses from They Live, except instead of trying to
scout out aliens posing as wealthy individuals, He's gonna tell
us what fantasy performances we can actually believe in here
on this show. So Marcus, let's start with the fact
that Cam Newton's single game passing record is gone. Bryce
Young has that now. He lit up the top passing

(10:04):
defense at the time in the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Was that real or was it a miran?

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Well, I'm here to chew bubble gum and evaluate fantasy performances.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Set them all out of bubble gum.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
I want to tell you that it was kind of
mirage is what we saw out of Bryce Young this
past week. It was great, And look, I was stuck
between deciding between Marcus Mariota and Bryce Young, and for
the first time in several weeks, I actually chose right.
But we're looking at a guy who, generally speaking, is
kind of between twelve and fifteen Fantasy points. It definitely
helped that he had forty five passing attempts, the third

(10:34):
highest total of his career, first time he's actually had
more than three hundred and thirty passing yards in a game. Also,
some of it was the opponent, and that Bryce Young
has played well in his career against the Atlanta Falcons.
He's got more yards and passing touchdowns against Atlanta than
any other team he has played so far in his career.
So it was great, but I think we're gonna see

(10:54):
him kind of fall back to his reality again. Between
twelve and fifteen points tends to be the north, all.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Right, So the mirage call there on Bryce Young.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Let's go over to Santa Clara where Rock Purty was back,
and so it was the forty nine ers offense brock
out a nice Fantasy day as well.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Was that real or mirage, even though he played in
the desert. I think that was real. It was less mirage.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
He goes back home and looks like Thanos when he
gets all the you know, the Infinity stones at this point.
But he's only played a few games this year, granted, right,
but he has multiple touchdown passes in all three games
this year. I don't know that you're ever going to
see big yardage totals from Brock Purty. He was at
two hundred yards of this past week, and I think
you know you're gonna see him kind of between two hundred,
two hundred and fifty I think most of the time.

(11:34):
But what helps is the offense is getting healthy around him.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Right.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
They've been able to survive with Christian McCaffrey most of
the year. George Kittle just came back a couple of
weeks ago, Ricky Piersaw was back this week. They've got
Juwan Jennings, They've got Kendrick Bourn. So this offense is
starting to look the way Kyle Shanahan had and envisioned
it before the season, and so as Rock Purty as
the trigger guy there, I do think you can see
some pretty consistent performances from him the rest of the year, and.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Maybe they lean on Christian McCaffrey just a touch a
bit less than down in Duval. They were leaning heavily
on Basial Tooting to the extent where he was out
touching Travis excuse me, Trevor Travis Etn late in that
game until he left with a little bit of an injury.
Marcus was the bacial tutin performance real or mirage.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah, a lot of us have been rooting for Tuton
all year long, and on the flip side of that,
it does seem like the Jaguars have been trying to
maybe not deemphasize Travis Etn, but certainly find a compliment
to him. And once they traded away Tank Bigsby early
in the year, we believe that was opening the door
for Tuton and it finally looks like it's starting to happen.
He looks like the more explosive of the two backs there.

(12:39):
We'll see what this injury is, how serious it is,
and whether or not it's going to cause him to
miss any time. But he played a season high end snaps,
had a season high end carries and rushing yards this
past week. The only downside to bachial touton is that
he really contributes nothing to.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
The passing game.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Ting James played this season just eleven targets, so that
part of the offense will still belong to I have
a CTN. But it does look like we're gonna start
to see to work into this offense a little bit more.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
All right, So a real opportunity there.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Contributing nothing to the passing game is something people might
have said about Tyroll Shavers before this week, but he
caught the big ball from Josh Allen look pretty good.
He's wearing Stefan Diggs's numbers. That real or moron, it's
a mirage.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
I mean, I think that sort of goes without saying,
but I think the larger point is it sort of
spreads across the Bills.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Pass catchers as a whole.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
I mean, the touchdown was great, It was an amazing
throw by Josh. It also sort of came on a
scramble drill where you had seventeen back there in the
pocket just trying to buy some time. Career best ninety
yards tied a career high for Shavers with five targets.
But at this point, as much as we love Josh Allen,
and fantasy, and he's a must start every single week.
It's hard to pinpoint that one receiver or tied end

(13:49):
that you can plug into your lineup and just sort
of set it and forget it. So at this point,
you know, Tyroll Shavers obviously eats a mirage. You're not
counting on this every single week, especially because Keyon Coleman
is probably gonna, you know, show up to meetings on
time and be able to play. But I do think
it's a bigger conversation that we had about the past
catchers there in Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, the Bill's trying to catch the magic that the
Miami Dolphins did earlier this season by focusing so much
on talking about meetings. Eventually the wins will start coming
after that. That's real or mirage with Marcus Grant. Now,
let's go over to Adam Rink for the Waiver Wire
Hot Sauce in week twelve.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
All right, Patrick, thank you so much. The Fantasy faith.
Oh thank you, Chucky b. The Fantasy playoffs are approaching
and it's time to take it up a notch with
the Waiver Wire Hot Sauce. We have four flavor profiles
that gets you shorted for the next couple of weeks
and we all start off with the mild but flavorful
and let's talk about many Wilson up with the Green

(14:44):
Bay Packers. Now, there is a time back in the
day that if you had not told Missus Mercado did
you had not put in your Tamali order, it was
still late. You are not getting Kamalie's for Christmas. Similarly,
if you have not already picked up Manny Wilson, it might.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Be too late for you. What are you doing? What
were you waiting for?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
You knew that if you had Josh Jacobs, says your
number one running back, you needed to back him up
with Emmanuel Wilson.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
But you know what for those of you who were able.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
To escape to get by, run, don't walk, hope listen.
I had to do this once and I never wanted
to do it again. Once I disappointed Missus Mercado, I
never did it again.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
So you get a.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Chance, go out there and pick up Emmanuel Wilson. All right,
he's actually going to be a running back too. If
Josh Jacobs is not able to go this week, try
that one on.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Gosh.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
I'll get it all right, Let's get spicy let's get
spicy by going down the Houston. Great town, great food,
not a great offense. Listen, we love Nico Collins. We're
fans of woody marks. And then that's it. It's like
walking into your favorite taco standar You're like, where's the
salsa bar? And it looks like the salsa bar hasn't

(15:55):
been replenished in like two weeks, and you're like, oh,
what do we do right here? There's some like old
lines there, like what is going on here? But still
there's something. Sorry, chus, but do you know what? It's
so good though you want to go out there and
get it. Oh, I guess I should tell you who
I'm talking about. I'm talking about Jadon Higgins as a
possibility here for the Houston Texas. He's at at least
seven targets and three out of his last four games

(16:16):
he is averaging close to ten Fantasy points per game.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Listen. It's not the ideal situation.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
You might just need to like scoop the film off
that salsa and the dig deep, dig deep into the receptacle.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
But still Higgins is there for you. Let's go three alarm.
If that was a terrible one three alarm. Let's go
to Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Where Kirk Cousins is going to be the Kirk Cousins
isn't the guy, but I'm just letting you know. He's
the quarterback. He's the antonym of spice. He's the kind
of guy that uses catchup for his case adea. He
is not spicy. However, there is somebody you can go
out there and get, and it's Caderrel Hodge. I really
like this the way that this guy has played. I

(16:59):
liked him into the NFL. When we see glimpses of him.
There is some ability there. The only problem is is
that Kirk Cousins is the one. Like what are we
doing here? Because as we're sitting here, we're looking at options.
Darnell Mooney could step up if Drake Blundon is going
to miss some time.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
We got Kyle Kyle Pitts again. But I think the
thing with Hodge. Go out there and stock up, stock up.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Like yesterday, I went out there and I got the
tacos here the commissary I bought Listen, I brought some
of the tapatillo packets down to the down to the
green room because you gotta have them. You gotta have
them press the case even if we.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Don't need them. But there we go. It's had me
to move along to Sorry, Chuck, I didn't know. I
didn't know you were playing me out.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Now, all right, let's go, El Diablo, El Diablo.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
What is going on with my life? Why?

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Why is it come to the point that Tyler Shuck
could end up being my quarterback this week?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
I thought early on.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
When I go into the place and I'm like, yeah,
I'll just take the carne asada, and they're like, no,
we don't have I'm like, you don't have carne asada.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
This is a true thing.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
And I know for a lot of you, the first
time that you had to try, like somebody like El
Pastor or something, you were apprehensive. You're like, I'm not
comfortable with it. You want to try it to the true.
But I'm gonna tell you the Tyler Shuck there's a
reason why he was drafted where he was. We've seen
a little bit, We've seen some glimpses of him, and
again I will tell you not to chase the fantasy

(18:19):
points with Bryce Young. But we can go out there
and take advantage of this Falcons defense. Yes, the Falcons
defense that just made Bryce Young look amazing recently. Is
gonna have an opportunity against Tyler Shock this week. So
as you're sitting there shopping and the stores are the shells.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Are empty, this is where we're at.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
It's Tyler Shuck And that was the way for Wire
Hot Sauce Old Geez for Week twelve. Again, you can
see the show that's going on over there.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
You really are all right? What is going up? It
is time.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
The fantasy trade deadline is upon us. Sakwon Berkley, the
Meden cover boy, the guy who helped lead the Eagles
to a title. Are we trading for him or trading away?
Come back and find out.

Speaker 2 (19:08):

next gen stats, which we use to crown the Cardio
King of the week every Tuesday. This week's champ is
Bucks wide out Tes Johnson. He was the forgotten man
and what was the highest scoring game of the week
between the Bucks and the Bills. He ran one thousand,
three hundred and thirty total yards all around the field,
all to score one point six fantasy points.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Tes.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
That was a rough one, but at the very least
you got your cardio in, So congratulations Tes Johnson. Let's
change some circumstances here on NFL fans love get some
trade wins. The NFL dot Com Standard Fantasy trade deadline
is coming up this Friday, so with time to start
building those connections of formulating those trades and sending the offers,

(20:15):
because it doesn't work if you don't send the offers.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
So who are we trading for right now? Marcus grat RJ.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Harvey, And we've been sort of pining and wishing for RJ.
Harvey to get his opportunity. Now it's unfortunate that it
comes at the expense of JK. Dobbins, who the standard
line right now. He's back if the Broncos can make
it to the Super Bowl, so essentially he's gone for
you for the rest of the year. It's frustrating because
I think hope, we were hoping you would get more
touches this past week, but it was a lower scoring

(20:45):
game against a very tough opponent in Kansas City. The
important part is the expected increase in usage. You played
a season high thirty seven snaps this past week. He's
gonna start getting more touches just because I think by
the foult he's sort of the lead guy in that backfield. Also,
the next couple of weeks really good matchups. He's got
Washington next week, He's got the Raiders in two weeks,
so a real good chance for him to kind of

(21:05):
supplement your running back stable there if you need help
at that position.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I'm going to be looking at T Higgins as the
guy that I'm going after. I'm just trying to find
anybody in my leagues who might be a little bit
down on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
You know what, guy.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
The season obviously isn't working out the way that we
they had wanted it to bought. The one thing that
I've noted is that T. Higgins has at least eight
plus targets in four of his last five games. He
has five receiving touchdowns. Since Week seven, which is the
second most amongst wide receivers. And I really love the
playoff schedule with Baltimore, Miami, and Arizona.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
So if you can.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Catch somebody in your league napping, you might want to
take a run at t Higgins.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Speaking of runs and runners, I think you should send
those offers for Sakwon Barkley, who had the thirty three
point fantasy game and then went on the buy and
then played two solid defenses in the Green Bay Packers
and the Detroit Lions scored twenty three point.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
It's combined in both of those games.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
The schedule up for the guy who carried you a
lot of you do fantasy championships last season, the Dallas Cowboys,
the Chicago Bears, that you see the Los Angeles Chargers
run defense against the Jacksonville Jaguars. I think Saquon gets
a lot of folks into the playoffs, and then once
they make it to the fantasy playoffs, folks feel a
little bit better about the way the season started for
twenty six. But if you want to get talent, you

(22:23):
got to trade talent away. Were trading away right?

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Well? I love Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
I think He's a very talented player, and I'm sure
that the schedule and everything like that is going to
work out in his favor. However, that would be one
of the players that I would be dangling, and it
has nothing to do with him or the schedule or
anything like that. It has to do with the availability
of Lane Johnson, and that, to me is one of
the biggest things that people might be overlooking. I think
that when Lane Johnson is there and available for the

(22:48):
Philadelphia Eagles, this team is much better. And if he
is going to be battling some injuries over the next
couple of weeks, that could be.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
A serious issue for me.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
And again, you got to offer something that somebody would
possibly bite. And if I am dangling Saquon Barkley, I
think that I have an opportunity to go out and
get multiple players who could end up helping me depth wise.
And so that is why I got to make the
tough decision try to move on from Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Well, I am trying to move on from Xavier.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Worthy at this point because I think the idea of
Xavier Worthy has been a lot better than the reality
of Xavier Worthy. We keep talking about how we want
pieces of the Kansas City Chiefs offense, how we want
pass catchers that are attached to Patrick Mahomes. But that
just hasn't been enough for Worthy so far this year.
He's got just two games where he's been over fifty
receiving yards, just one touchdown all season, averaging fewer than

(23:38):
seven fantasy points per game.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Rashie Rice has.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Come back and has played half the number of games
that Worthy has has more Fantasy points than Worthy does
right now. So the idea of having a Chiefs receiver
seems great, appears that this is not the one that
you want for the rest of the season.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah, the idea looking a bit better than the actual circumstance.
The actual circumstances of the player I'm trading away has
been great in twenty twenty five because Justin Herbert has
dealt with so many injuries up front, losing both for
Shawn Slater and Joe Alt and I think things have
finally started to come to.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
A head in that situation.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
The game against the Jacksonville Jaguars where Trevor Pinning, who
the Saints did everything they could to avoid starting him
at left tackle, started at left tackle, and the results
were pretty rough.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
There was a lot of that justin Herbert on his.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Back, where yeah, they're going to have great opportunities, and
he's still a spectacular player of the quarterback four, which
is why I think a lot of people would be
willing to make that trade as Yeah, we want the
trades to lift up both teams as you try to
get in to the fantasy postseason. So let's give some
people some more trade deadline tips here on NFL Fantasy Love. Well,

(24:46):
I think the first tip is going to be check
the playoff schedule, right, I mean, that's the reason you're
acquiring these guys, either to get yourself into the playoffs
or give yourself a fighting chance to win once you
are there. So what happens in those final three weeks
is going to be really important, and who they line.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Up against is going to be important.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
So for instance, look you saw last week JJ McCarthy
comeing rally late against the Bears.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
That look good, Kayleb.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Williams didn't have his best game, but you know what,
something you know to kind of keep in mind there. Actually,
I just looked around. J Carr didn't look great for
most of the game. Kayla Williams actually looked. Okay, here's
the thing. The Vikings have a good playoff schedule. They
face the Commanders, they faced the Cowboys, they face the Giants.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
So that's something to keep in mind.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
You know, maybe you want to go out and make
an offer for Justin Jefferson or a Jordan Addison. On
the flip side, the Bears do not have the best
schedule in the fantasy postseason. They've got to line up
against the Browns, They've got the Packers, They've got the
San Francisco forty nine or so.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
It might not be the easiest sledding.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
So for as good as somebody like Caleb or maybe
Romo Dunes or even DeAndre Swift have been, they might
not be the guys to get you to the Fantasy Championships.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
So just keep in mind kind of what that strength.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Of schedule is going to look like for some of
these guys you might be putting offers out for.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah, And I think that whenever you're putting out an offer,
you're going to make sure that you're gonna they have
a good match with somebody. For instance, I'm talking about
Saquon Barkley. So if I'm going to go out there
and dangle Saquon Barkley, and I'm talking to a guy
who has I don't know, Jamier Gibbs in Bejean Robinson
might not be as receptive, might not want to do that.
You know, they might turn that down. So take a

(26:17):
second and at least look to see, like, is this
a player that would benefit both sides. I think that
the most successful trades are the ones that can benefit
both people. And if I go into a situation where
I'm like, hey, listen, I know that you need a
running back, I'm going to be offering you Saquon Barkley,
but in return, I'm going to need brock Bauers in
CD lamp.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
I know that's probably not a great example right there, but.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Still if you can try to match it up need
for need, if they have access of some position, go
out and look at their bench and go see what
they have, Like perhaps there is somebody you know, just
wasting away on their bench that could be of value
to you. So it's it takes just a few x.
This takes one extra step to go out there and
kind of determine that. And it's the best way to
go out there and make fantasy football trades, yes.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Because we don't want to take advantage of anybody in
these trades or situations. Not just matching the need would
be my tip, but matching their emotional needs as well,
because you may be in a situation where you know
exactly who somebody cheers for where they are as a
fantasy football player, and it's okay to be a fan
and for you to be a fan for them to

(27:20):
be a pan. For example, Adam Rank his Chicago Bears
are playing against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. There's
multiple leagues where Adam Rank has been forced to sign
to pick up Aaron Rodgers and start him. Yes, I
know that Rank is hovering with his finger over the
button to drop Aaron Rodgers. Why not make an offer

(27:41):
where we can improve the circumstances of both teams. If
I believe that eight's going to go out there and
play well against the Bears and be out there discount,
double check, and I see the offer to Adam Rank
because that's the last thing he wants to see or
root for here in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
But also, don't take advantage of that.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
I'm not giving up Saquon Barkley for host Lovely Yes.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
That's not happening. Yes.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Thursday Night Football on Prime Video has a rematch of
one of last year's most exciting finishes. This week, the
Buffalo Bills hoped to avenge their last second loss to
the Houston Texans. It's the Bills and Texans Thursday at
eight to fifteen pm Eastern only on Prime Video Time.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Now for another edition of My five.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
And as we get closer to the Fantasy playoffs and
everybody's looking for that advantage to get themselves into the
second season, and to help out with that, I've got
my five sleepers for Week twelve. You can get the
full list later on this week at NFL dot com
slash Sleepers.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Here's a sneak preview. We'll start at number five with
Jerry Judy.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
I do not care who is the starting quarterback for
the Cleveland Browns this week. Judy has been the top
target for both Dylan Gabriel and Shador Sanders nineteen combined
targets over the last two weeks.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Yeah, not all of them.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Were catchable, but I do like they're at least looking
in his direction. I also like the matchup this week,
going against the Las Vegas Raiders, who were the second
best matchup for wide receivers. We saw and get absolutely
shredded by George Pickens and CD Lamb on Monday Night.
At number four, it's the Green Bay Packers DST going.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Up against the Minnesota Vikings, where J. J.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
McCarthy is in the fourth quarter against the Bears, he's
Captain America. Pretty much every other time he is pre
Serum Steve Rodgers. McCarthy has fewer than one hundred and
sixty passing yards in four of his five games. He
has at least one interception in every game and has
been sacked fifteen times in the five games he's played.
On top of that, defense is averaging ten Fantasy.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Points per game.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
When McCarthy starts over to number three, and it's chig
A Coonkuo. We even talk much about the Titans offense
and glowing terms this year, but Oconko leads Tennessee in
receptions and receiving yards. He has three weeks finishing in
the top twelve among tight ends, and as good as
the Seattle defense has been, they are the third best
matchup for tight ends this season. Titans have one of

(29:53):
the heaviest pass offenses in the NFL and likely going
to be in second half catch up mode. I expect
lots of targets to go in a conquos direction. At
number two, we keep the tight end theme going with
Hunter Henry. He's got five games with at least five
targets this season, three top twelve weekly tight end finishes,
and well he's going against the Cincinnati Bengals, best possible

(30:14):
matchup for the tight end position. Eight players from that
spot have finished in the top twelve, four have finished
in the top five. At Drake May, I think is
gonna have a great game. I think Hunter Henry's going
to benefit from that. And that gets us to number one,
and it's Zach Sharbonay. Yes, I get it. He's been
incredibly touchdown dependent this year. Good news everyone. First off,

(30:37):
Seattle is the run heaviest offense in the NFL, but
maybe more importantly, the Tennessee Titans. I think you have
a lot of touchdowns fifteen rushing touchdowns allowed, second most
overall in the NFL. Throwing a couple targets as well
for Sharboney, and he's got some real good flex appeal
this week. So there you go, my five sleepers. Four
week twelve. You knows howpins when you sleep? Get chill, baby, Patrick.

(31:00):
That'll help you check out a little this it could.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
You know, I telecommute every week to see my therapist
in Orange County, and I do remember sleep. It's one
thing that I used to do. I could close my
eyes and think about all the good times. Now I
don't have any good times because fantasy football players deliberately
cause me to lose football games.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Like you, Lamar Demetrius Jackson.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
I know, I know when I look at a guy
who has the highest passer rating in NFL history, and
you throw a ball and it hits a guy in
the hands, and then it goes to the man in
the pan and it bounces up and somebody else picks
it and runs it for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
And you're doing that on purpose.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Why don't you open up a tablet, create a PowerPoint,
and alert your teammates and franchise that Miles Garrett exists.
It's your fault for all the sex and pressure because
you weren't trying hard enough.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
No, listen, listen, man, Like I sort of feel you
on this one.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Man, This one is such a tough.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
One because, like you, I had high expectation for Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
I was running around like Mario van.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Peebles, being like, man, when this suede gets back, everything's
gonna change. And then all of a sudden, gunnery Sergeant
Tom Highway just pops him in. His John is like,
oh man, we got nowhere to go. But eventually, you
know what, the swede becomes the marine we thought he
was gonna be. And similarly, we have too much history

(32:28):
with Lamar Jackson to.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Know that he is gonna be down for long.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
So I know a lot of you are out there
super morose, but when it comes to Lamar Jackson, he's
been too good for too long.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
There's gonna be good times. And you gotta, Chip Bro,
thank you so much. I should you know, you gotta.
You gotta be able to adapt. And that's and that's
what I will do in this situation. Let's go over
because I thought it was gonna be a great matchup,
and I'm looking up the scoreboard. Oh, teams are going
up and down the field.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Everybody's getting points forty yards receiving in what looks like
a great matchup. And I know, I know you're tempted,
just like, oh, this is Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
No I saw Baker celebrating.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
I know.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I know because I'm a guy who's fueled by rage
and desire to prove everybody wrong.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
So it can't be on Baker. It's on you, you.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Rookie coming in here making me expected like.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Everything's going to be drun oh.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Man.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Like you see this all the time with some of
these young grums. They're out there like a house of
fire at first, and then all of a sudden, it's
double overhead. Everybody's just getting sick waves and you look
around that little shredder he's on the shore, and you're like.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
What are you doing? Man?

Speaker 3 (33:44):
How are you missing out when it's so good right now?
But that's just what's happening with a Mecca Buka. So
you gotta do what I do with my boy. And
I'm like, look it, man, you paddle in, go get
an uncrustable, and then you paddle back because there is
more stuff to play and there's more waves out there.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
So yeah, you missed this session. Hot session's over. It's
not coming.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Back, but there are plenty of more waves this season.
So when it comes to my guy, a Mecca Buca, you.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Got a chip Bro, thank you so much. That takes
me back to the center, to a place where I
can be calm.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
And Jared Goff on Sunday Night Football, Jared Goff got
me twelve fantasy points, which, hey, I'm thankful Jared because
that's more points than Detroit Lions got.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
And I understand it's Wendy.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
You're all observing weather phenomenon where the sun's coming up.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Yeah, we're going back.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
There, Jared, because you got me absolutely nothing.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
And Nye man like this, Oh, this is so problematic
because I have friends like this.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
His like my friend Ian.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I'm like Ian, I'm like, bro, are we paddling out today?
And he's like, dude, have you not seen the weather?
It's raining? And you're like, bro, like the water is
wet in the ocean.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Why does it matter if.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
It's coming from the sky or if it's coming from
the ocean. I'll never understand it. So Ian and Jared
Goff are just a couple of indoor cats. They just
want to sit around when it's gotta be sunny. Can
barely even be overcast before these guys can be bothered
to paddle out.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
They're not like us. True soul surfers, men who are
out there riding the.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
Waves rain, sleet or snow, or like the post office
always delivering. But still he's got an indoor matchup this week.
So when it comes to Jared Goff, that's my better judgment.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
You gotta chew shit, you know, Jared. I'm sorry. I'm
sorry too to all the players off the field.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Angry tweets from people who did absolutely nothing but press
pressell button.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Don't do don't be med. You got a chill bro.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
When we come back, it's the streaming hit of fantasy
football season, Fantasy is Blind.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Two wideouts iner the pods.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Only one gets the spot on my actual fantasy team
whose resume wins out with names removed.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Play along with me.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Right after this, we're back here on NFL Fantasy Live,
and it's time for Fantasy is Blind, the reality show
that you cannot escape. I'm obviously Patrick Claibon, and in
my actual Fantasy Live league team, I have a need
at wide receiver, and the traditional methods where I rely

(36:35):
on my eyes to look at the players available on
the waiver wire haven't been working out for me.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
So I'm going to make a blind pick here using the.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Pods here on the show to get access to some
wide receivers. In the first up is wide receiver A.
Let's start here on wide receiver A. Because you know,
it's all about production, not as much fantasy appearance.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
So do you think looks matter?

Speaker 3 (36:59):
You know, I think that you know, what you want
to have is production. I don't think you judge it
by looks. You want to go. Can somebody go out
there and produce? I don't care what the aesthetics are
on your television screen, but if that person or player
is going out there and putting up production like I am,
that's the most important thing. I might add that I've
had three touchdowns in the last four games, so I

(37:19):
don't know how it looks to you, but it's been
very productive. Three touchdowns in the last four games. Those
are very solid numbers. Why would you be a good
fit for my fantasy team? You know what I fit
in in any situation. You know, I'm sitting here right
now in one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL,
and I've been a valuable contributor and I can adapt
to any sort of anything that's going on. You know,
you can't trip me up this is I would be

(37:41):
adaptable in almost any scheme. I'm not just you know,
reliant on one set or one coach or.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Anything like that. I'm highly adaptable. Okay, So I like
making trips. Travel is very important to me and my
fantasy relationships. Are you going anywhere cold? Maybe bad weather
in December?

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Well, you know what, a lot of times I just
like to be indoors as much as possible. I know
that there are some people who love the great outdoors.
They thrive in the snow, and I'm not saying that
I don't. I'm definitely applicable outside as well as inside.
But I think for the majority of the time, you'll
just find me nice and nice and warm inside.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Okay, nice to meet you. Wide Receiver A. We may
revisit our discussion. I have some questions now for Wide
Receiver B. Who's in another pod? As I make my way?
Oh yeah, oh, this is so interesting, Wide Receiver B.
As we're both here clearly in these pods. It sounds
like things are gonna be nice for Wide Receiver A

(38:39):
in December. I hate to talk about other relationships. What
are you doing around Thanksgiving?

Speaker 1 (38:44):
You know? Around Thanksgiving? I'm gonna be hanging out.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
I w actually be indoors around Thanksgiving actually, so it's
gonna be kind of nicer to be cozy, a real
nice sort of family atmosphere.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
You know.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Sometimes it might get a little bit content just but
that's kind of what Thanksgiving is.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
But I do think the conditions are to be pretty good. Okay.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
One thing that I hate in these fantasy relationships is
when my players ghost me. Are you a big part
of your offense?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I am.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
In fact, I've become a bigger part of my offense recently.
I mean, my offense was sort of looking for somebody
to stabilize a relationship, and I've really come in and
been able to do that. In fact, I lead my
team in receiving yards since week eight. You know, I'm
among the league leaders in air yards per target. So
I've really become a big part and kind of a

(39:30):
really stable, solidifying part of my offense.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Okay, between you and me having the conversation, you know, yeah,
he asked these questions like, hey.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Would I'll be able to pick you up?

Speaker 2 (39:42):
You know, we're not supposed to talk about appearance wide
receiver A sounded like they might be vertically challenged, how
do you feel about hype?

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Uh, you know what.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Look, I know it's not the be all end all,
but I do think there's something to be said for
being tall. In fact, you know, I actually, while I
was kind of a late bloomer, I wasn't necessarily, you know,
a person that people talked about a lot in high school.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
I did become a lot more athletic.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
In fact, I am actually one of the tallest players
to have success at the Combine as well. So yeah,
you know, nobodys gonna confuse me with say, Victor wimbin Yama,
but I don't know that I'm vertically challenged either.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Okay, you guys have made this very very interesting. It's
a tough decision where I might go into the final week,
which you guys won't actually know how much time has
passed during the show, and you have to make a decision. So,
in terms of wide receiver be he's getting more targets,
the receptions per game are more. Seems like he was
a more consistent performer earlier in the year. I understand

(40:39):
there have been these recent touchdowns for wide receiver A
and everybody's interested in him. Right now, I'm gonna have
to side with wide receiver B because I also, you know,
I have a tendency to go for the bigger, faster guy,
and that guy, yes, it's Christian who came back al

(41:01):
And I didn't think that Adam Rick would end up
being a Packer's water super here.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
I'm completely comfortable with this. That's actually Mark.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yeah, no, it's Marcus Big exactly, because you know, it
wasn't gonna be you making the.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
Pitch for Christian Watson. It would not have been positive
in that.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
So so yeah, we get that, and we've got to
find out who you are?

Speaker 1 (41:22):
Right, who were you?

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Who was I Josh Towns, Oh yeah, Josh Downs. Yeah,
I guess I'm vertically challenged. I guess I could have leaned.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Into that a little bit more. Hey, read the notes
next time, dummy. Okay, yeah, I have got another job there.
But Stell, you made the wrong call.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Well, yeah, I understand a great part of an offense
that's been the best in the league. But yeah, I'm
a boomer Bus guy and they can't get more boomer
Bus lock on the big target with the Green Bay Packers.
That's fantasy is blind, which I actually didn't know. So
as a host, I have plausible deniability. Congratulations everybody that
wanted to sound for victory too to day where we

(42:00):
celebrate your wins. Marcus Grant, mister Bill picked up Michael
Wilson immediately after getting the news on Marv's appendecam one
by one one point.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
Hey, congratulations, Wow, congratulations. All it took was him had
setting a fresh ice record for receptions in a ball game.

Speaker 1 (42:18):
But hey, good on you. Yeah, it worked out for you.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
As we go to Puddlegum shut to a small margin
but started RJ. Harvey over Commandividell. Was the difference between
winning by three losing by two, right, Yeah, a really
great move right there.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
I know, coming into this week, I was very optimistic
about Kammani Vidal did not work out.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
But good for you with going to r J Harvey,
Gilbert got four touchdowns from Dak one by point three points.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Marcus oh Man, Hey, fandom, DA's come back helped at
the right time.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Thank you, Las Vegas readers.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
Yeah, and also thanks to Brian shawt On for being like, hey,
you know what, guys, everything's good.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
Why don't you go back in there and score some touchdown?
You learn? Ye back out there?

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Everything was great, Hey, Inside. Is this coming up next
on the NFL Network for Adam Ranking, Marcus Screen.

Stuff You Should Know
Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
