to the January twenty fifth show, two night Hotel State
at Park MGM January twenty fourth through the twenty sixth
and round trip airfare. Text night to three seven three
three seven now for a chance to win. A confirmation
(00:21):
text will be said. Standard message of data rates may apply.
All thanks to Live Nation Bright the biggest stories of
the day. Something else that amazes me is at the thirteen,
you guys remember things that I don't. And I've been
here the whole fifteen years, but thank you for reminding me.
There was a dude that used to work. Your name
Mike Doves, Zach Morris. I forgot. We called him that.
(00:43):
I totally forgot. We called him that. He now works
at a country station for iHeart in Minneapolis and they
won a CMA last night. That morning show did than
he is on, hosted by Guy lesson car. I think
I should look it up. You know, I'll show I
don't know another guy man country music. It's so kind
to the radio community, every single artist, the one this
(01:04):
side was like, thank you radio. Oh yeah, they love
what I wouldn't give company congrests. Yeah, and so one
of another, one of our esteem former interns off doing
bigger things than we are. I love it. I love it.
Don't get any ideas, guys, don't get any ideas. None
of you were interns, but don't get any ideas. Well,
I don't get any ideas. Congratulations to him. That's and
(01:27):
thank you for reminding me. That may have been him.
That may have been Mike Dubbs that texted me shout
us out. But I was right proud of him last night.
He was on the stage and he shout it out
his parents and it was cool, and he kind of
I think he kind of took them mile. I think
he was supposed to say anything because like the host
said something and then he kind of stepped in and
I was like, right, are those televised those awards? No,
it looked like those were like before the camera's on,
(01:48):
Like when I get some make announcement to the Heart
Radio Music Festival and they let me go out there
like so very cool, like when they're still setting up
the chairs, you know, and I say things and then
the cameras go on and Ryan comes out, Yeah, that's
what it's like. That's that's it looked like that. But
you're right, though, the country people get they give them awards,
they all get to win, and they all get to
be number one at some point. You know. The artists
(02:08):
say like they like, they plain ice, they talk to
each other about when they're going to release songs so
that they, you know, have better chances of everyone getting
to It's crazy, and you're right, and the artists actually
love they love radio. You get one song on this station,
all of a sudden, you're telling me what you're doing
or not doing. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly,
(02:30):
all right. President Trumps sign legislation Wednesday, so yesterday that
compels his administration to release files on convicted sex offender
Jeffrey Epstein. Storms may make Thanksgiving travel a challenge. There
you go, So if you got controversial people at the table,
then you just let them know. I don't know if
I can make it because there's a large storm system
that's going to be causing headaches for travelers in the
(02:51):
lead up to Thanksgiving. The storm is gonna bring rain
and possibly snow to the eastern two thirds of the
country starting next Tuesday into Wednesday, from Tech to southern Illinois,
some strong thunderstorms are possible. Meanwhile, if you head out
on the roads this weekend to your holiday destination, there's
going to be rain affecting a swath of the country
from Phoenix to Dallas as far north as Denver on Sunday,
(03:14):
as the storm moves east, it extends from the northern
tier to the Gulf, So a problem for people to
try it and that, plus you know whatever remnants of
the government shut down and all of that, So good luck.
We talked about the twelve million dollar one percent all
gold which is what one percent means all gold toilet
(03:35):
that's sold for twelve point one million dollars. Now we
know who bought it, Ripley's, believe it or not. Now
I don't. Did I not realize how much money Ripley's
believe it or not, has I never really? I mean,
they're buying twelve million dollars toilets. Eighteen carrot one hundred
kilogram functioning toilet was sold at a Sotheby's auction on Tuesday,
and Ripley's was revealed the following day to have been
(03:56):
the sole bidder. They paid twelve point one million dollars.
It's worth ten million in gold alone. They haven't decided though,
whether they're just going to display it or let people
actually use it the actual gold toilet. Can't let people
use it, right, I got nasty cleaning it. I mean,
I I don't. Yeah, It's like I don't want to
(04:17):
think about that. I mean, what are they gonna do,
Like they're gonna have a special bathroom, you can pay
money to use the gold toilet and then like we
can all use the gold toilet consecutively and be like, hey,
we all got to It's like, this's gross. I don't
want to think about that. Don't do that. But I
was don't know what the heck you're gonna do with
that though, caause I'm not going to pay to go
see it. So what's the appeal except a bunch of goldtime? Yeah,
(04:39):
I think so. There's a town that has said enough
is enough to pickle ball Carmel, California. After months of
complaints from neighbors fed up with the constant pop pop
pop echoing from the only public courts in the city,
the city council for the upscale coastal town voted to
ban pickleball altogether. Enough is enough, take a stand government,
(05:03):
and they're doing it. Residents told the council the sound
was ruining the quiet charm of their pricing neighborhood, and
argued there's no way to enforce quiet paddles or keep
noisy players in check. One local even as whether she
was supposed to call the police every time someone used
the wrong gear. Players pushed back, saying they deserved at
least a trial run with quieter equipment. I didn't realize
(05:25):
this was a thing you could get quiet paddles. I
haven't gone to that level yet because I live somewhere
where this is not our biggest issue. Carmel, my goodness,
the city wasn't convinced. They move forward with drafting a
permanent ordnance to outlaw this sport city wide. Until that
becomes official, the temporary band stays in place, meaning that
Carmel pickleball fans will have to take their game somewhere else,
(05:49):
and garlic mouthwash might replace your standard mouthwash, according to
a new study that found that garlic extract mouthwash was
nearly as effective and at times more effective than the
usual go to anti septic mouthwash ingredient that kills mouth
bacteria that we use now it's called HX. I guess garlic. Yes,
(06:11):
there's the same garlic that you cook with. Has a
naturally powerful chemical called alcaid sin alc sure the fights
bacteria of viruses and fungi. They reviewed past trials and
found that at a higher concentration, the mouthwash cut down
salivary bacteria, which sounds disgusting, more than normal mouthwash or
(06:34):
normal rint. It's not perfect. Uses of the garlic based
rints reported a burning sensation, an unpleasant taste. But I
don't know if if it makes your breast smell like garlic,
what's the point. Like if it's better for you, but
my breath is nasty, I'm not gonna use it, So
that doesn't work for me. But anyway, garlic was like,
(06:55):
your breast smells terrible, but I just use mouthwash, you know.
It seems kind of like counterprot It's Great American Smokeout Day,
which encourages Americans to stop smoking, and National Child's Day
recognizes how educators and families join forces to provide excellence
at all levels of education for children. That's that's a
lot of explanation but good
