Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, here's the thing I can't. I can't give you.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
An exact recipe of the cucumber salad because when you're
a gift to cucumber salad maker, it's sort of innate,
you know, Kiki, you know how this is cooking with
Kiki show. You know something, Some things you just innate
when you're cooking. You just you just know how much.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Right, the ancestors guide you, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Well, my Asian ancestors, and when you look at me,
you know I'm absolutely Asian. I see it. It might
be the fact that I'm fluorescent white or six five,
but whatever.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, yeah, Well they've been trying to get me.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
To be in all those K pop bands forever now
because of my singing voice, because of my dance moves,
and because of my Asian heritage, and because they want
me to come make that cucumber salad on the road.
So you got cucumbers, you gotta slice them up, and
then you got a there's a there's a trick, And
I skipped this step and I regret that. But you
can like cut the cucumbers up and then salt them

(00:57):
and then put them in a strainer and let them
sit there for a while and then the out of
the water comes out so that they don't don't water
up the salad like the next day, because now I
got like a you know, juicye. I got like a juice.
It's a witch juice. You still taste good, but it's
a little juicy. But and then you got to make
sure you wash the salt off. Then once it goes out,
it's called the kailin salad. But that's that's that's private information.

(01:21):
So she had to share. So once you do that,
you wash it right. And then you got the cucumbers.
You got equal parts soy sauce and I think it's
white wine vinegar. It's the clear rice wine vinegar. You
got those two, a little bit of garlic chopped up,
chopped up and for the people at home, chopped up.

(01:43):
And then you got to put like some chili chili
sauce in there, or you know, whatever kind of chili sauce.
You got a little bit of that. And then what
else do you put in there? A little bit of
sesiment oil, not a lot because that stuff is strong.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
And then that might be it honey in there.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Well, so it does call for a sweetener to balance
the but I didn't do it this time.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
You can. You can use honey, you can use a
little bit of sugar, you can use the Yeah, okay,
I just want people to know he's selling the recipe. No,
I want to make sure they get it right. But
you can skip that step if you want to.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
But and then you stir that thing up and just
go to town and just eat that thing. And the
longer it sits there, the longer it sits there, don't
I don't know if this is always true, but the
longer it sits there, the better you.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Gotta let it marinate. And like you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So, yeah, I get it all right, I get it
all Yeah. I mean there's other people that add like whatever,
chickpeas and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
You can add scallions if you want. I don't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
You can add sesame seeds if you want. I don't
do that, but you can if you wants it. All right,
So there you go, guys. I know that this is
what everybody wanted to know to start their day, how
to make a cucumber salad. No, I know I might
do this, might just be every morning. I'll do the
cucumber salad recipe to type the show, oh, this is
your exact recipe. Well, probably because I got it from
the exact website cucumber Sad. That's exactly what I googled

(03:05):
when I first started making it. There it is, all right,
And that was where I went on my rant because
it's another one of these recipe websites where I got
to read the story of how Memo made the cucumber salad,
you know, back in you know, the olden days, and
grew her own cucumbers and how she did it. And
you know, you gotta read this whole novel about the
cucumber saw with friends.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Right right now, I just picked some fresh flowers out
of my garden. Make the centerpiece. Look at here, Look.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
At look at here, look at here. I don't need
all this, like, just tell me what I need to
buy and how much of them.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
But it's very irritating to men.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Button right there at the top jump to recipe.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Look at here. I missed it.
