Guys, did you know that in nineteen hundred this you
want to go in a little storytime? Here's a little
storytime for you. In nineteen hundred, a small French tire
company launched a marketing stunt so good that it created
a billion dollar industry that still thrives today. Then cars
were rare, roads were empty, and Michelin had one problem,

how do you sell tires when no one is driving?
Their answer was to make people want to drive, so
they gave away a free guide. It included maps, mechanics,
hotels and restaurants. The idea was simple, more road trips,
more warrn tires, more sales. But then something unexpected happened.
Drivers didn't care about the gas. They became obsessed with

the restaurant listings, and so Michelin leaned in and doubled down.
They introduced stars, and thus we now have the Michelin
Star system, like Michelin starred restaurants. You ever heard that before?
And so what do they have to do with it? Right, Well,
Michelin had to do with it, fluffy looking thing right.
But that's why because it was invented because they were like,

I got idea, We're gonna make it so you want
to drive? You are smart, bro, Yeah, I really I
can type in stuff in the Internet just like anybody else.
