stop lights off the rest of these like nobody's there,
Like only very few restaurants are open. And they don't
insulate the houses because no one they're not intended to
be lived in year round. Really, So my aunts has
she has this amazing house, but it's like, you know,
all modern and concrete and block and whatever, but they
didn't bother to put insulation in it because they didn't
really think anyone would live there all the time.

And then in Brazil it was sixty degrees and I'm

I'm like, this is I could wear shorts today. It
was so nice. But people were acting like it was
so cold. But you know where I'm from.

my brain, like when you're that close to the equator,
it's always hot.

was It was a real range of emotions because everyone
had left the airport at this point and it's just
me and this girl. Her name was Tatiana, which is
not really a I didn't think of an Uruguayan name,

if she had a little radio, and then she'd be like,
oh they found it, oh good, Oh wait no they didn't.

There's one plane on the the entire airport, one airplane.
I can see it, and from there to where the
baggage clan was was about fifty feet.

turns out it was never there, wow, in Brazil the

whole time. But they only fly there in the off
season on Tuesdays or on Thursdays and Sundays. So it
was Sunday, so there was no way it was coming
until Thursday, no matter. So she was looking at me
like what do we do? And she was like, well,
this isn't good, Like what do you mean is that good?

like a boat, they got a boat, or you know,

going to happen till Thursday. Then that's if we find it,

and that was one of the options. It was that

then I bought a sock a sweatshirt of the of
a soccer team because I thought, well, I.

Mean I might actually keep that.

And then I found out that like fifty percent was
almost like cub socks in Chicago. So everywhere I went
people were either like, yeah, you suck American because I'm
already eight feet tall, and you know, from this, it's
like I pissed half the big guys. You know, I
thought it was like the national team. It turns out
it was.

And I didn't know. I didn't know what. I have
no idea because I didn't I didn't really.

Have choices, and so people like it would be like
me wearing a socks, shirt around and not knowing what
you know, going to Wrigleyville or something if you're from
Chicago and everyone's like, what are you doing? I didn't
know because I didn't have a choice. I just tried
to buy things I might want to have in the future.

So half the people were like, oh, great choice, and
half the people were like saying things to me.

would be helpful, except all that would have told me
is they was. And then they start texting me like
at three in the morning. I don't know why they'd

three in the morning in Portuguese. So now I'm on
Google Translate three in the morning trying to go back
and forth. I mean, it was just it was a
real adventure. But it finally showed up and everything was there,
and they were very nice about him. That's another thing

Portuguese is that's a and Brazil. They don't play like.
They don't let me say something. I'm not that American
guy that thinks that they should speak English everywhere because
they shouldn't.

they don't bother and they kind of look at you
like you're an idiot because you don't speak Portuguese, which
I don't think they understand how difficult Portuguese. Like I
finally got some English speaking people to be like, hey,
you can't just pick this up, like you have to
move your mouth and your tongue in a way that

like if you speak English, you're just not from Like
if you speak Portuguese, I think you know what I'm
talking about it and your dad does.

Yeah, my stepdad's fluent, he actually thinks. So I was
like saying to him, I think Spanish is so much
easier to learn because you and I learned Spanish. And
he thought that Portuguese was so much easier to learn
because he learned it when he was in school younger there.

the senses.
