Speaker 2 (02:41):
So my latest one was ahead of ants in the House.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
I was like, what did you have to do so
bad in your past life that you come back as
an ants?
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah. No, it's a full intelligence briefing every morning. It's intense.
That's what you're doing in there? Yeah, what'd you do?
Never mind? Start? Fred's show is on Good Morning Everyone, Monday,
August fifth. It's The Friend Show. Hi Kylin, good morning. Hi,

text thank you for waking up with us, listening long
and heart. We love you, We appreciate you. Blogs in
just a second waiting by the phone. After that, Why
does somebody get ghosted? It's newer than the Entertainment Report?
What are you working on?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Ki a Kobe Bryant's documentary?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Also a Netflix movie makes history in theaters.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
All right, it's all coming up and we're commercial free
for the next forty minutes. Yeah, they talk better than
they excited. These are the radio blogs on the fretch.
So it's like we're run in our diaries, except we
say them aloud. We call them blogs. Kaylin wor's it
a CIA wedding. Go.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, so, dear blog, my cousin got married over the
weekend in Virginia, and congrats to them before the IA
is isn't it interesting that it was in Virginia? Okay,
So I want to take it back though, to the
first time that I met the wonderful man that she
married over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
And that was a little wonderful man because he's got
access to all your phone records.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Oh, chef's kiss the best man I ever met. So
before I met him a little while ago, I was told,
because I guess my family knows who I am as
a person, you're gonna meet your cousin's fiance, do not
ask him what.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
He does for a living.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
And first of all, I'm like, okay, how convenient, Like oh,
he has some sort of secret job that he can't
talk about, like is he a drug dealer?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Like I need to look this man in.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
The eye, because how convenie, you can say, Listen, don't
ask me about my job.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
I'm not going to explain it.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Be a nice benefit. Yeah, you'd be like, I'm gonna
have to stay out all nights tonight. I'm gonna have
to go to the the adult club, right, I have
to right part of my secret.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Job, Like it's the perfect lie. So I meet him.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, we're doing a sting at Monday night football in
Hooters tonight with my friends. It's a thing. No, I
tell you, it's just thing, right.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I was already like, I don't know, you know, I'm
protective whatever. My cousin's younger. So I meet him and
the whole thing is we're playing in my head and
he's asking me what I do and all these questions,
and then we had an awkward silence. He's looking at me,
I'm looking at him, and I'm like, I'm talking about me,
and I literally.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Just word vomited. What do you do? Okay?
Speaker 3 (05:21):
And he was like I work for the government period,
like never said anything else, and so I was like interesting, interesting, interesting.
So then over the weekend, didn't think much more about it,
but like, I do know, I do know that he
does something in that line, okay. So I meet some
people that know him, okay, and the drinks start flowing
and I'm like, well, how do you guys know each other?
(05:43):
You know, looking people in the eye and they're not
really giving me real answers, and I said, what's the
after a couple drinks.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
What's the craziest thing you ever seen him do?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
And he's like, lift four hundred and fifty pounds and
I was like what And He's like or speak fluent
Arabic and I'm like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
So now everyone at the wedding.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Is just I'm just suspicious of everyone at the wedding.
I'm looking at the waiters. All the waiters are tiny
and they're you know whatever, but there's this one. Shit
does that happen to listen, Well, I'll tell you because
I think one of the waiters was not a real waiter.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
This dude was huge, barely could carry a plate and
is just in the corner staring at all of us.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
And I'm like, I think that he's not a real wow. Wow,
I think we're being watched. He was a plant.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
But no, really, like I genuinely think that.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Like they started answering questions that they probably weren't supposed
to after a few drinks, and I was like, I'm
not the one, Like I shouldn't be asked to keep
a secret, Like I don't want to be any part
of this.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Well. Kelly Shelley's husband, military Mike like, you know, she
doesn't always know exactly where he is. She knows what
he does, but you know, he's in the navy and
he goes on the ship and he goes out to wherever,
and unless he's taking shirtless pictures and he beat that,
then we don't know where he is. Yeah, so and
that would be weird to be married to someone where
you're like, I don't know, you were gone for a month.
I don't know where you went exactly, but you went, Yeah,
(06:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Just some of the stories and like why were you
guys in the Middle East and what were you doing.
They's just like a whole bunch of stuff. And basically
I can't hang because after I had like two whiskeys,
I was like, I was not enjoying the wedding.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I was just asking everyone questions.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
I want to know too, I'd be super curious.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
But like, I genuinely think that this waiter was like
protecting us because there were like multiple important people.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
I don't it was very odd in case.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
The Russians invaded or something.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I was like, I was just like, I don't know.
It was a big waiter was hot too.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
It was hot definitely CIA. Then in that case, yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, I don't know, Like why can you live four
hundred and fifty pounds by yourself?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
I met a woman once who her husband worked in
a Pentagon and she had no married to him, dated
him for a long time, married him, had no idea
what he did, knew that he worked there, no idea,
no clue that maybe she did. And then it was
gonna tell anybody. But like I got the impression she's like,
I don't know what I've never known what he does.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
I couldn't do. I learned that I could not do that.
And what's to stop these men from saying that? And
then it's not true?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Now that's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Right You work for the Pentagon? Is that where you
go every day?
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Right?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Well, I do the same thing here. It's a long
like the CIA, except to see opposite. I come in here,
I say whatever I want, and then when I go
home and if i'm you know, family or friends or
dating somebody or whatever mine. I had to do that.
I had to tell that story. I had to take
those liberties. I had to I had to embellish. I
had to my job. Okay, it's my job to embellish.
It's my job to talk smack. It's the we are
(08:24):
opposite CIA agents. We are CIA agents inside out. I
could never I can't keep one secret. I could never
do it. But my mom just got a little tippy
tu and was like, no, you look too small to
be in this or that. I'm like, Mom, be quiet.
You don't know who you're talking. You don't know who
you're you don't know who you're talking to. They've already
gone through your personal records.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yes, yeah, well it was a really small wedding. I
wonder if we were all like vetted.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Maybe you were, well, you probably wouldn't have gotten in
if that week's ever been left waiting by the phone.
It's the Fred Show, Aid and good morning, welcome to
this show. How are you hey?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Good morning guys.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
How you doing doing all right? Man? What's cool with
this woman? Mariah? You know we're trying to help you
out here all waiting by the phone. You think maybe
you've been ghosted after a date, So we need the backstory.
How did you meet? Any dates you've been all? We
got to know about those and then kind of where
things are now? All right? Cool?
Speaker 5 (09:13):
So you know we matched on one of the apps. Uh,
and uh, you know, it was cool. And I normally
if I'm with somebody on the app, I'm just like whatever,
We'll just see how this goes. But we talked like
for a while and it felt pretty good. We exchanged
numbers and then we agreed to meet up in person
and we went out on a date and you know,
we booked a little tipsy and that was pretty cool.
(09:33):
I really like her, I mean, I want to see
her again. But you know, I texted her a couple
of times and she's kind of answered it back, and
I'm like, I know I didn't do anything stupid, you know,
Like I mean, I know I didn't think.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Are we sure about that?
Speaker 5 (09:50):
Or I do my best to keep track? You know?
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Okay? All right? Well so really you're you're truly puzzled,
Like you you don't know what happened you you you
look back on this date and to your recollection, everything
went well, everything flowed well, good conversation, good chemistry. Why
is this woman not responding to me to set up
another date? You're truly puzzled.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Yeah, Like I talked to my best friend about it.
He's like, did you do this?
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Do this?
Speaker 5 (10:15):
I'm like, God, I didn't do that. I didn't do that,
you know, I mean, like I went went over in
my head like I I mean, I'm I went around
like writing writing down the dumb stuff that I that
I would say that I didn't say, you know, like
I can't think of it.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Okay, Well, let's call uh Mariah and I'm going to
play a song. Comeback. We'll call her. You'll be on
the phone. I don't want you to say anything right
at first. We're gonna try and figure out what's going on.
And you know, what we're always hoping for is that
we could straighten things out. Maybe maybe nothing happened and
she's been busy or who knows what, and then we'll
set you guys up on another date that we pay for.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
All right, right, thanks son Aiden.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Hey guys, all right, let's call Mariah. You guys met,
you went on a date recently. You felt like it
went really well. And I know that you know, dating
on the apps can be It's hard to gauge the
chemistry and that date goes great, but this one did
and you were excited to see her again. But you
have not heard from Mariah since the date, and you
really don't know why.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
Yeah, I have no idea why. Like it went really
really well, really well, well.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Let's see if she thinks so too. We're gonna call
her right now. Good luck?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
All right?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
He Hi? Is this Mariah? Yes, Hey, Mariah, good morning.
This is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred Show, the
Morning radio Show. The whole crew is here, and I
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now and I would need your permission to continue
with the call. Can we chat for just a second.
You can hang up anytime if you'd like.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Yeah, sure, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Well, thank you so much for your time. We're calling
on behalf of a dude named Aiden who reached out
to us and we just talked to him a second ago.
He described what he thought was a really great date
with you after meeting you on one of the dating apps.
But he says he can't get a hold of you
since the date and he's very confused. So what happened?
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Yeah, Yeah, we did me up and went on a date. Yes,
it was going well with Aiden, and then he asked
me if he could ask me something and I was
like that's never a good sign, but I was like sure,
and then he basically asked me. Not basically he did.
(12:21):
He said, are you trans? And then I asked him
if she meant like transgendered, and then he told me
that he did, and I told him I wasn't, and
like that there's there's nothing wrong with that obviously, but
like that that question kind of came out of nowhere.
And then I don't know, but like he wouldn't take
(12:43):
my word for it, so like he just kept kind
of asking me and then like asking to see baby
pictures of Meal.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yeah, yeah, so I know, was he asking because I
want to be clear, I understand this. Was he asking
because that's what he's interested in, or was he asking
because he was skeptical on the day.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
I think he was skeptical because I mean, like I
definitely have some like Naz young teachers, but I'm not trans. Mean,
there's nothing wrong with that, but like, yeah, like I
just I'm not, and I don't, like I didn't really
understand why kept asking me. I guess, like I guess, yeah,
he just he just needed more proof, but I that's it.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yeah, I mean, hmm, well, Aidan is here. I forgot
to mention that Aiden is here. I'm sorry, So Aiden,
you forgot to tell us about the part where you
were asking her that like's not like that, like you
didn't believe what she was who she said she was
or as advertised.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
It wasn't that I didn't believe it. It was just
it was okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
So here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
He's a thing.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
So that's the thing.
Speaker 5 (13:54):
That is that happened a small part of the And
the only reason I really started asking now was because
when she took my hand and her hand was kind
of like as big as Brian, and I was like, okay,
she got.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
A big hand, and then or maybe you had.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
No, no, maybe I do, but that's that's the question
I can ask. And then I was watching her when
she crossed your legs, she had kind of a long foot,
you know, like like like too long, and.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
I wasn't sure she had a wild foot that was
not too long, right, So then we immediately jumped to that.
Speaker 5 (14:26):
No no, no, no, no, okay. But there was other things.
There was other things. I mean, she's beautiful, she beautiful,
but she got she got like a like a big jaw,
and I mean, you know, I mean, I don't I'm
into I mean, I mean, I'm not. I'm not saying
I'm not saying that I'm not. I'm not like down
with whatever, But I mean you understand why I would
ask Why are saying.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
No, no, no, no, no, no no no, I wouldn't test that.
I mean, look, I I yeah, I might. I might
not within the first forty five minutes or hour of
meeting someone asked them questions like that, No, I wouldn't.
I'm sure that's information you need to have, but I don't.
I don't know that you need to have it right away,
and certainly not based on your Sherlock Holmes assessment of
(15:08):
she had a kind of a big jaw and a
long foot. So let's really bring to that.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
I mean, I'm not trying to be offensive. I'm just
saying it's like, I mean, you understand why I would
do that. I mean it makes sense.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
I mean I.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
Asked if she has she has a kind of big hand,
And it was after the first hour, it was within
the first forty five minutes, so I was really trying
to be respectful, and when I noticed it, I figured
I should asked just to see if she has baby pictures,
because that way you can tell what people of the
baby's address, like, because you could tell.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
I mean, I think it's okay. I think I don't
know that. I think it's unfair to ask that question
at some point, at some I guess at some point.
But then then whatever the answer is is the answer,
And I don't think that then prying with let me
see baby pictures? Is can I see your birth certificate?
Like it needs you to prove it to me? Like, yeah,
your feet look a little too long for me, Like
(15:59):
I don't. I guess, I guess, I guess it would
we would have just left it there. But I'm also
not really sure if that's a question. I don't I
don't know that your assessments and the reasons for you're
asking that question are valid.
Speaker 5 (16:11):
I wasn't trying to respect her, them them, I wasn't
trying her.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Right she you you this, You've invented this.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
No, I'm just being I'm being I'm being I'm being sensitive,
that's the whole.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
But that is not going to be okay.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
I don't need to be with her.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
She so, Mariah, I mean you answered you you weren't
necessarily offended by the question. You were offended by the
sort of the fact that he wouldn't take an answer. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Well, I also just thought it was weird to ask
anyone that, like you were saying within forty minutes. But
but yeah, crying of it and then the baby.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Photo was just like, okay, now, yeah, if we go
on another date, I won't to have a promise we.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Already asked you. Yeah, I think I know how this
is going to end. Actually, I know that I hate
to spoil the ending for but I know already rank it. Yeah, okay, look,
I will ask just so we can be certain, Mariah,
would you like to go out with Aiden again? We'll
pay for it.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
There's no way, thank you though, Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
All right, look, Aiden' I'm speechless. I'm kind of speechless.
I don't know what to say really about this. But
you know you asked she answered, that's the kind of it,
and but we didn't leave it there, so and this
whole thing was was weird. So Mariah, thank you for
your time. Aidan. Good luck out there.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Caitlin's Entertainment Report. He is on the fread show.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Warner Brothers is making a movie called With the Eighth
Pick question Mark about Kobe Bryant's entry into the nineteen
ninety six NBA draft.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
The movie focuses on how.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
The New Jersey Nets front office, which had the eighth
pick and wanted Kobe, but financial issues and Kobe's preference
for the Lakers got in the way.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
So I guess that was a whole I did not
know that. I'm learning this right now.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
They're describing it as a draft, a thriller, similar to
like Moneyball or an air God.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
By the Hornets. Actually wasn't he and then traded to
the Lakers on non draftne I believe it was.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
I will trust you.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I could have been a Hornet. I think so. I
believe you.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I am not a basketball girly.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
But I did not know that he The Nets wanted
him and he didn't want to go there.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
He was drafted by these Shawtt Hornets with the thirteenth pick.
Can you believe that twelve people went over him? WHOA,
that's you know that happens? And that was like you
hear that every now and again where like certain players
don't want to go to certain teams, so they say
I won't play if you draft me, and that whole thing,
so don't draft me that's crazy. Eli Manning did that
(18:45):
he didn't want to be drafted by the Chargers. I
think it was he wanted to be a giant, so
I think he got drafted by the Chargers maybe and
then he was like, I'm not going to go there.
I don't remember, but yeah, sometimes people will flex like that.
But Kobe could have been a Hornet at the teenth pick.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Everything would have been different.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I feel like in the NBA, I guess the movie
focuses more on like the business side of the draft
rather than his playing career. The movie is also produced
by Tom Brady's company, and of course the title refers
to the next pick that could have changed everything, but
it didn't end up happening.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Speaking of movies, K Pop Demon Hunter.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Was dominating the box office over the weekend with an
eighteen million dollar debut. That movie was released on Netflix
back on like June twentieth, I think, but gained a
ton of popularity since its release, with several of its
songs making it onto the Billboard charts and making it
one of Netflix's most watched films of all time. I
(19:41):
actually talked to the K pop group twice who are
on the soundtrack and that's on the Fred Show on
demand channel on the.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
iHeartRadio app if you want to hear it.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
By the way, if we're talking about movies, rounding out
the top five, Weapons Freakier Friday, The Fantastic Four, First Steps,
and The Bad Guys two, that is the top five.
The Weekend Drake and podcaster Bobby Althoff. She's the girl
who's like very dry in her interviews, kind of makes
a mockery of interviewing people.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
I guess, for lack of a better way to say it.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
We're supposedly in some sort of feud after they did
her podcast from his bed and then apparently like she
went to his show and she didn't get VIP. I
don't know if I believe any of that was real
because now they're back in bed again since he's her
new podcast called Not This Again.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
So if it was a real feud, they have made up.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
But they both collabed on social media and they're back
in bed.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
So I thought she was cooked. I thought she was done.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
I thought so too, But apparently she is back and
she knows how we feel about her because the podcast
is called Not This Again, right, So we'll just leave
that right there.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
But Drake, what are we doing, Drake, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Chris Martin helped a fan propose during Coldplay's show at
Wembley Stadium over the weekend. He spotted a sign that
read I want to propose, period, which is very to
the point, and after ribbing the guy for a little
saying security should check him out, I knelt down to propose,
Chris saying for them it was beautiful. This is, of course,
a huge difference from a month ago when he unknowingly
exposed the cheating scandal heard around the world with the
(21:11):
CEO and HR head of the tech company Astronomy.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
I read this weekend and it's it was an okay magazine,
so very very reliable around I don't know, so it
popped up on one of my feeds somewhere. So yeah,
I mean, I trust him if you have to lie.
I said something about him having spent the CEO having
spent two hundred and fifty grand on OnlyFans. Oh. Now, again,
let's consider the source here. But you know, it turns
(21:34):
out the guy the cheats on his wife publicly with
his HR director. He may not be the most solid,
He may not be the he may not be the
greatest guy. It's possible.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Such shocking, doesn't you know?
Speaker 1 (21:45):
There's a sat Maybe he's a right, maybe he's a
saint of a human, but he just was a big
fan of somebody's work.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Because I can have all the money in the world,
I'm not paying for that. You know what I'm saying.
I agree, you know what I'm saying about that.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I know what you feel me. I know what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
I'm dancing around. This is me not talking like I'm
here's the line. I'm staying behind them.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Oh my gosh, fantastic maturity. It's really really good.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
No one knows what you're talking about, not a single person.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
By the way, if you want to catch up on
anything you missed from our show today or any day
type of the French show on demand and if you
