Speaker 1 (02:46):
Okay, and we're commercial free for the next forty minutes.
You don't have to go anywhere.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
They come the night.
Speaker 6 (02:52):
Yeah, they talk better than the excite. These are the
radio blogs on the Fread show.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Like we're riding in our diaries, except we hate them
allowed we call them blogs. Kalen's got one.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Go your blog.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Do any of my friends in this room right now?
Use the Citizen app? Does anyone have it?
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I have you have?
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (03:11):
I have too. I okay, but not you're not on
it right now?
Speaker 7 (03:14):
No, because it's not in my area where I live. Okay, Like,
but yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
And so the people who don't know this is like
an app that alerts you to like police in emergency
activity and crime and things that are happening. And I
don't have it. But do you set like your you
put your ZIP code? Or does the phone just know
where you are? Does it use your GPS?
Speaker 5 (03:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:31):
I think you put in where you are. I don't
have it, which is what this blog is about. But
I believe so because it's definitely if it is where
you are. I didn't realize that it's not everywhere.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
Yeah, it's only active like certain place certain places.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Okay, Well, I need to have an intervention for my
boyfriend and my best friend Maddie because those two are
addicted to the Citizen app and it's getting a little
out of control.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
So my boyfriends it's to what where he gets alert.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
So any time anything happens or us, he is alerted,
and he thinks that he needs to do something.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Okay, so the.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
CVS near the Citizen ap already knows about it. Then,
is that like he's the hero.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
He doesn't want to be the hero.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
He just he's one of those people that wants to
be informed on any single thing. For me, I want
to be less informed on everything. I don't want to
know if it doesn't involve me. I have too much
going on in my head. So the CVS near our
apartment keeps getting robbed, okay, and obviously because we live
near it.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
We know the people that work there. Whatever.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
He to the point, it's to the point where the
other day he goes, Kaylin, someone just smacked one of
my people down at CVS.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I gotta go down there. I'm like, no, you do
not mind your JESU.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
That's what That's what I meant before. I'm like, no,
stay out of it, stay out of it. You don't
need to do we don't need like Citizen Vigilante Justice
kind of stuff going on here, like, let the cops
handle it, I guess.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
But even more so, you don't need to consume your
entire thoughts life things worried about what is going on
in your area.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
That can't be healthy.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
It cannot be healthy to know all of the crime,
all of the outside.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
If I knew everything that was going on. It's the
same reason I look up like criminals in my building,
you know, like public record criminals. There's a way to
do that too. I don't. I just don't. I don't
want to know. I don't have kids, so I don't
need to be worried about, you know, certain types of criminals.
But I just ignorance is bliss. Like if I find
out that my next door neighbor is like some form
of predator, Like, this is gonna be terrible because every
(05:33):
time it's gonna it's gonna make me miserable. I'm gonna
wonder like if they're gonna if I'm gonna be a
victim of something.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yes, I just I guess I want to understand it.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
I don't understand how that information helps us in any way.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
For me, Ignorance is also bliss.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
If there is a nosy Is he a nosy Nancy.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
No, he's not a nosy Nancy, is he?
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Is he?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Uh? The King of the gossip, the goss guy.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
He's like Jason to where like Jason watches the news
every night and then honest sleep.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
I don't get how Jason can watch the news and then.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Go right to back the news will stay with me
And Jason always tells me, well, I need to know
what's going on.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
My question is why.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Well, like we Mike is the same way as I am.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
We listen to the police scanner, like if we hear
a bunch of sirens, like we got on the police scanner, Like.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Do you have a physical police on the phone? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
And what does that do for you?
Speaker 7 (06:24):
I guess like I feel better knowing that there's danger
near me that like I know about. It's like in
like I guess prepare like either leave or like lock
the door if someone's on the loose running around my
neighborhood or something like that.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
I don't know. I mean, I avoid a traffic you know, accident.
I mean, if there's like it, God forbid, there's I
don't even want to say it, but like God forbid,
there's something active going on that I need to, like
on the street in front of me, that I need
to avoid or not be involved with, Like then I
want to know about that. But usually there's and they
have the phone has a way of like a you know,
(06:59):
if it's that big of a deal where you are,
then they'll send out an alert, you know, like that
there's something very bad going on. But if it's like
petty crime or just average kind of stuff, like I'm
not going to get involved. So and I did, I'm
not standing there, you know, since I come in my house,
What am I going to do? Like Okay, let me
get my basketball bat and go down there, like I'm
not going to do that. Like that's a bad idea.
(07:20):
Nobody wants you to. The cops don't want you to
do that.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
No, and even above that, I just don't understand how
it's serving you in any way. There's a drug deal
that went bad two blocks for me, I don't want
to know. I don't want any part of it, you
know what.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I like, I saw one of Shane Steelers. Was it
one of his guys?
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Probably yeah, because he's a huge drug guy if you
know him.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
But yeah, no, I don't it's I just I want
it to stop.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Yeah, I don't. I don't necessarily need to know everything happening.
I think sometimes ignorance is bliss. Now again, if it's like, hey,
don't go outside because there's this going on, or hey
don't get in the way of this, or or you
know whatever, like, then I want to know about that.
But it's the reason we don't do a lot of
there's a lot of news that happens that we don't
do on this show because it's not that we're insulating
or that we don't want it. It's just like, you
can find that information if you'd like it. If it's
(08:03):
going to affect your your safety right now, then we'll
share it with you. If it's affecting like you know,
something very large that you need to be aware of,
then then we'll share it with you. That's our job.
But other than that, like I don't need to go
through every murder, No, it needs to know. It's like
every you know what I mean, that's.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Between the two people doing the drug deal down the street. Okay,
I don't. We don't need to be involved.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
He's ever been left waiting by the phone.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
It's the Fred Show. Colin, Welcome to the show. How
are you hey, June?
Speaker 8 (08:30):
Okay, I got some questions, but thanks?
Speaker 1 (08:33):
All good? All right, he's okay, all right, this is
honest response. He's okay, He's okay. He's the guy's dis
trot right because he met this woman Jules, and I
got to know kind of the backstory about how you
met and about how many dates you've been on and
kind of where things are now. But what we do
know is that she's not calling you back all of
a sudden, So what kind of give us the backstory?
Speaker 8 (08:53):
Yeah, I kind of got him the nutshell there. But yeah,
so Jules and I we met on Bumble. We went
out for drinks, just one date so far. The date
was I mean, that day was great. I thought I
had a great time, and honestly, at the end, I
(09:14):
was dying to see her again. But right now she's
just not responding to my texts. I tried calling her
once nothing and I just I don't know why.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Okay, you look back on this date. That was a
weird note. I don't know where that came from. So
you look back on this date, and I asked this
question every time, and but really, though, like the conversation
was flowing, no sort of awkward topics. You know, she
didn't he didn't feel like she was trying to fake
her way out of the leaving early or I mean
(09:45):
really like because again, we all you can tell when
there's a vibe and when there's not a vibe. And
you're saying there was vibe, but then when you've called
her to try and set up another date, she's not responding.
Speaker 8 (09:55):
Right, I was feeling the vibe.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah, I'll say that. All right, Well, let's call a
jewel in just a second. We're gonna hang up, or
we're not gonna hang up. We're gonna play song. Come back.
I'm gonna call jeweles. You'll be on the phone at
the same time, and we're gonna ask these questions. Hey, Colin,
all right, let's call it Jewles. You guys met on
one of the dating apps bumble, I believe you said,
and you went on a date. You had a great time,
(10:17):
and you were really looking forward to scheduling another date.
He left the date. You're like, this is great. I
really like her. I want to see her again. You've
greeched out and she hasn't responded to you, and you
want to know why? Correct, Okay, let's call Jewles now.
Good luck, Colin, thank you?
Speaker 9 (10:38):
Hell?
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Hi is this Jules? Jules? Hi, My name is Fred.
I'm calling from the Fred Show, the morning radio show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now, and I would need your permission
to continue with the call. Can we shat on the
air for a little bit? You can hang up anytime
you want.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
What's it about?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
So it's about a guy named Colin, who I guess
you met on bumbled. Do you remember going out with
Colin recently?
Speaker 9 (11:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Yeah, I did.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Okay, So what happened with him? Because we just talked
to him and he described your datas successful in his opinion,
and he said he was dying to see you again.
He was excited to see you, and he's reached out
and you're not responding at all, and he's confused about that,
so he asked us to help. Why are you not
calling him back?
Speaker 9 (11:22):
Well, originally when we matched, I was excited and.
Speaker 8 (11:28):
He was really cute, and I was really.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
Excited because he helped me out as soon as we
started talking, so I felt like he was the real thing.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
He wanted something serious like me. So that all sounded great.
Speaker 9 (11:40):
And he was a total gentleman because he wanted me
to choose out the spot.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
That we were going to. Okay, I chose a spot
that was really close by. It was about a block away.
It's a dive bar, and he.
Speaker 9 (11:55):
Said he was so down, so I thought it was chill.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
I thought it was a good idea for us to
go there, and.
Speaker 9 (12:00):
I was excited and things were going well, and then he.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Decided to play music on that.
Speaker 9 (12:08):
Touch tunes thing you build out an app, and then
he started to play some music.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Basically, so they had they had a jukebox. They had
a touch tunes and it was playing whatever. But then
you you know, someplaces of what you get on and
you know, buy whatever songs you want to hear. So
that's so he's like, let's play some music, and you're like, great,
let's do that.
Speaker 9 (12:28):
Basically, Yeah, I guess I was looking forward at hearing
his his music.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
Case.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
I just got to explain to everyone what a jukebox is.
But you know whatever, you know, this is my job.
I'm painting a picture, you know, I'm building a picture. Polly.
That okay, So all right, so this guy picked some
songs now that you have any input in this or
did he just decide on his own this is what
we're going to listen to.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
He decided on his own, Okay, I was. I was
curious to just hear it out.
Speaker 9 (12:55):
I feel like I like lots of different music, so
I was eager.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
To find some common ground there.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
And you can tell a lot about somebody by the
songs they choose. Okay, how a feeling. That's where we're
going here. So what what sort of kid rock song
did he put on? Like? What what did he do?
Speaker 5 (13:12):
You know?
Speaker 9 (13:13):
I think I would have rather a kid rock Honestly,
he played.
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Gang and Style.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Oh okay, okay? T was he getting?
Speaker 9 (13:25):
Like?
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Was it like, you know, I don't know? This is
kind of funny, I thought.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
So I thought he was trolling.
Speaker 9 (13:30):
Everybody, right, and so I was embarrassed and I just
let it slide.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
And then it just scut worse. From there.
Speaker 9 (13:38):
We start hitting Yeah, we started hitting Mombo number five,
the Harlem Shake, and I mean, it's not a bad song, but.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
I can.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
The Harlem Shake. Okay.
Speaker 9 (13:56):
He played Honey Commanda have You from Holan, which.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
It's he played a song from Mulan that was a
bar you know what the problem here for that one? Okay?
So maybe all right, so maybe you have an issue
with Mulan. Who has an issue with Mulan? But I
think you put it all together and uh And at
this point now I'm wondering, like are you being serious? That?
(14:24):
Did you say to him? Like are you being serious
about this?
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I mean I started looking, I'm like, okay.
Speaker 9 (14:30):
That's enough, like we're strolling everybody. But then he started
taking along, so I knew that this is the real thing.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
And what is the rest of the bar doing while
you know, when we transition from Gangham style to Mambo
number five to Mulan is what is what's happening within
the establishment?
Speaker 5 (14:51):
I'm wordified. I mean, this is my neighborhood. Diedophar and
it cleared out.
Speaker 8 (14:56):
Everyone laughed little by little.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Wow, it was just why.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
You can't see your spots?
Speaker 1 (15:04):
You know, that's the problems. They can embarrass you and
then you got a problem. I also, all this time, Paulina,
I've seen it. Now Colin is here. I forgot to
mention that Colin is here. Colin, you were kidding. I mean,
there's nothing wrong with maybe one of these songs. Independently
in a different setting. Maybe in the case of Milan,
perhaps there are children around. I don't I don't know,
(15:25):
I mean at home, or maybe you're alone. I mean,
you know whatever, But like were you you were kidding
you guys don't like gun Style.
Speaker 8 (15:32):
The thing has five point six billion views on YouTube.
Still like now like that?
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yeah that that doesn't mean much. I mean, I don't know.
I mean, or maybe it means that people enjoy the song.
But again, there's a time and a place. I guess,
you know, you got to kind of match the vibe
and you're in a dive bar and you're playing you know,
Gangham Style and lou Bega. I don't know, I don't
know if that's necessarily the right right venue.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
Uh, you got to read the room, and I mean
I was reading room.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
No, well I don't think you were because everyone left
the room, so the room the room was empty when
you were done. So hmm, So you're serious. These are
songs that you actually enjoy and this is the kind
of music you're into, and this is like what you
would listen to at the house or whatever.
Speaker 8 (16:19):
I mean, yeah, it's a good time, Like it means
I'm fun it means I'm impulsive, like I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Like it means something.
Speaker 8 (16:29):
Yeah, yeah, it shows like a free spirit.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
You know. It sounds like the inside of a rainforest
cafe if they were still open or or something. Huh.
All right, so he's serious about this, he's he's standing
on business as it pertains to these songs that he
played on the jukebox at the dive bar on Your
Day Jewels. Look, let's let's just say we say, all right, hey,
(16:55):
maybe maybe we don't pick music in public anymore, Like
maybe we saved that for, you know, our private lives
or something like that. I don't know, but he seems
like a nice enough guy. I agree with you on
this sort of Maybe the music taste is not aligned,
but would you give him another shot? We'll pay for it,
and we will take away, we will erase from his
phone in the touch tunes out.
Speaker 9 (17:14):
I'm sweet, but I think I'm good. I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
We've heard a lot worse, we've heard a lot better,
but we've heard a lot worse. But I just want
to be sure you do not want to go out
with him again, Okay, all right, Hey, Colin, Look, man,
I'm sure there's somebody out there who's got the same
whimsy that you do, you know, the same zest for
the Harlem shake that you do with That person's got
(17:40):
to be out there, and I hope that you find her,
and I appreciate your time, both of.
Speaker 8 (17:44):
You, and thanks for the answers.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Cain's entertainment report is on the Bread Show.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Fiance was joined by two very special guests as she
wrapped the final performance of her Cowboy Carter tour. During
the transition or one of the transitions, I should say,
at our show in Vague, Beyonce brought out Destiny's Child
members Michelle Williams and Kelly Roland to do songs like
Booty Delicious and Lose My Breath. It was very iconic,
and yes they were in their matching but different outfits,
(18:12):
which if you know, you know this time it was
gold and shimmery. The three haven't been on stage together
since Beyonce's Beachella aka her Coachella set, but off stage
they have stayed friends and very close, which I love.
I mean, I think Kelly's like her mom's second daughter
or third daughter. I should say sorry, I forgot about Solange.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Solange, but I'm sure Solange is used to that sadly,
I know, but I.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Don't want to pile on.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
But yeah, Kelly is always with them. So I'm glad
that they are so cool, and Beyonce throws them a
bone every now and again.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
See she's doing what Justin Timberlake should do. But now
I kind of wonder if the insinct guys are like,
I don't know, I want to be a part of that.
I mean, trust me, I think they'd all love to
do an in sync stadium tour and yeah, you would
go nuts. But he's I don't know what's going on
with old boy Justin Timberlake lately, but he's getting He's
doing dumb.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
Things that Romania show, like what he did the least,
which is like him.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah he did nothing. He just I got this feeling
and then he just that was it right? And then
everybody else got He put the microphone down at one point.
I'm like, oh, maybe all right.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Right, cool, and I will give it.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
He's a good performer, so I don't know what he
what he was doing.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
You know, I'll throw him a bone too.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
If you miss this making of performing Chapel Roone announced
a series of pop pop up shows this fall before
going to work on her next album. She posted on
Instagram She's going to do four shows in New York
starting September twentieth, then Kansas City, then LA and October.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Both of those.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Registration is open now for the chance to buy tickets
and I like that she's doing this. Fans will be
chosen between August fifth and seventh, and then the others
will go on a wait list, so a little bit
different of a vibe to get tickets. Director Tim Burton
teased an upcoming project with Lady Gaga. He was at
a film festival and he was answering question question excuse
me from fans after screening the second season of Wednesday.
(19:57):
He called Lady Gaga an amazing artist after working with
her on the show, but then he added, I've done
something else with her as well.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
That's all the details he gave us.
Speaker 4 (20:05):

it up in two. And lastly, Janey Craig and Kenny Rodriguez,
two stars from season six of Love Island have broken
up and this is kind of juicy. So word is

other's Instagram bios. They've already unfollowed each other, and then
Janey's close friends Serena and Leah have also unfollowed him,
and their partners did as well. It looks like each
of them asked their friends to do the same because
the two groups have already split up via social media.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
So that's I mean, I guess that's probably.
Speaker 4 (20:54):

a group unfollowing happening. But yeah, he allegedly cheated, and

think he liked her, But that's just my two cents.
