Chicago's number one hit music stage. So let's do a
holiday wish. This is one of our favorite things that
we get to do here. We've been doing it for
a number of years on the Fred Show, and it's
even better now that we get to team up with
Amy Weather right from one hundred truck Crack Mama Amy
is here.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
It's that time and we've got you know, we got
a lot of opportunity to grant holiday wishes. Some are
really joyful and some are just for folks that just
need to be with family. They just need to get
some stability and see the hope and the light and
We're going to get to do.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
That today, so I'm excited about it. Fred.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, I mean I think I think for the holidays,
you know, it's joyful for a lot of people, but
that I think seeing other people's joy sometimes reminds people
of things that are happening that aren't as happy. And
that's where we come in with Amy Witheright and her
big bag of money.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, let's talk to April. Good morning, April. How are you?
Speaker 4 (01:34):
I'm good?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
How are you welcome to the show?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I want you say ah to my friend Amy Witherwright
from one one hundred truck Rex. She's here with us
as well.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Good morning, Hi Amy.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
Hey, hey, hey April.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
We got your note and it sounds like your family
has had a lot, a lot to deal with over
the years.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Would you mind if I read this note? I know
it's emotional, but would you mind?
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yes? Okay. This is what she wrote to us.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
It says, dear Fred, showing Amy this year, my holiday
wish is from my family go on a trip together.
I don't normally do things like this and it's hard
for me to write, but seven years ago we lost
our son to suicide. Nathan was the oldest of my children,
and you would have never thought that he was sad
or depressed because he was the happiest young man you
ever met. He loved his family so much and loved
(02:16):
doing things with his brothers and sister. But you know
what they say, sometimes the happiest people are the ones
that you have to worry about. To be completely honest,
everyone is still in shock, and Nathan leaving us has
left me in some sort of days. You could say
we used to take family trips, but any kind of
enjoyment makes me feel guilty because it's not fair to Nathan,
and we've not been able to go since he passed
(02:37):
seven years ago. I don't really care where we go.
I just want everyone under one roof enjoying time together
like we used to. And I appreciate you taking the
time to read this. Thank you so much, April. I wish.
First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss, and unfortunately,
I think a lot of people listening and people on
this show can not only sympathize with this, but empathize
(02:58):
with this. But the sun is really it's unspeakable, and
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 6 (03:04):
Thank you, Thank you crushing How big is your family
right now?
Speaker 5 (03:11):
There's five of us and my five kids and my husband.
I didn't give birth to all of them. I adopted
my step children like a year after that had happened.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
So yeah, we're a blended family. But you know we're
all just one big family. Yeah, Blended families are fantastic.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
When you think about this, I mean, you say it
doesn't matter where you go, April, but really, what would
be an amazing tip for you guys to take?
Speaker 5 (03:37):
I honestly don't care anywhere by water, we like the
beach it Yeah, yeah, I mean anywhere within driving. One
of my sons that I adopted, he's autistic, and you
know he will not get on a plane. So anywhere
within driving okay, Oh.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah, how long can he make it in the car?
Can he drive all the way down to the Florida
to Ula or something like that? Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:01):
He he can care less anywhere?
Speaker 7 (04:05):
You know.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
Yeah, I think then on behalf of one eight hundred truck.
We've got to give you enough money to send you
on a really great family vacation. And Fred, I mean
about dollars, you're gonna cut it. I mean he's not
going to get it there, not with five that with
fives and a husband.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
You got seven of y'all, So one.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Eight hundred truck wreck's going to make your holiday wish
come true.
Speaker 8 (04:28):
With five thousand dollars, that's a moment.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Everybody gets, even.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
McDonald's on them.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
That's at McDonalds a lot of extra value.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
I always look, I always look for signs you know
that Nathan was with us, and this is definitely, you know,
a sign that you know he sent you guys to
do this.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
That's very it's you know, Caitlyn just gave me a
book about that, so I don't know. Maybe it's true,
but I'm so sorry for your last but this is
a happy thing. You're gonna have an amazing trip. Take
the five thousand dollars and one hundred truck wreck and
go some place fun together as a family, because I
really think that's what Nathan would want for you guys.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Yes, thank you, Yes he would, Oh my gosh, yes
he would.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Please once you guys go, oh yeah, of.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Course, send us pictures. Hey, thank you so much. April.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Let me put you on a whole make sure we
have all your info, and honestly, have a great holiday
and a great trip.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (05:36):

Speaker 9 (05:40):
Like I only like to see pretty stuff on my timeline,
ugly people all my time.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Like it triggers. I'm like, oh god again, like.

radio blogs on the Friend Show, like we're riding in
our diaries, except we stayed them aloud. We call them blogs, Paulina, Yes,
go right ahead, Thank you so much, dear blog.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
Something that's been weighing heavy at my heart and like
my mind lately is that children these days, they don't
experience a lot of things that we did growing up.
We know that already and that's not new, it's not
lost on me. But one thing that I don't like,
I have an issue with is not knowing how to
write cursive.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
This morning, it's really heavy, like.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Give your kid the gift of cursive?
Speaker 11 (07:28):
Well, I like, please like do like Because here's the thing.
My mom actually made a comment or maybe somebody else
did too recently that because she works in a school
and a lot of times the kids would have to
come in and sign paperwork and this is sad, but they.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Don't know how to sign their name.
Speaker 11 (07:43):
And that got me thinking, well, you don't know how
to write, but then you don't know how to write
cursive because when you sign a signature, isn't it typically cursive?
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Is that how you guys were taught?
Speaker 2 (07:51):
If you have a print signature, then you are a
serial killer, or you're a child I don't know mature
is print, or you're my niece Polly, who's for exactly?
Speaker 11 (08:05):
Yes, why are like twelve thirteen, sixteen year olds not
signing their name? Like to me, I thought that was
just something that you grow up kind of learning, and
that really shook me to my.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
They don't teach Curse of It. I don't think they, Okay,
for a while, No, I'm looking it up.
Speaker 11 (08:19):
It says twenty ten. I don't know if it's banned,
but like it got it stopped because of common Core,
which I don't know what that is. I don't even
like math, I think, right, so what is math?
Speaker 8 (08:28):
I think?
Speaker 1 (08:30):
But it might be it might be for the reaching
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Yeah, it's common core something and.
Speaker 11 (08:35):
Me too, And they're not teaching kids cursive, which bothers
me because like, I have a child who's almost two,
and I'm like starting to like look at schools.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
I know, I'm a little crazy whatever, but I want her.
Speaker 11 (08:45):
To go to a school where honestly a caveman's schoolt
this point, like I want her to use her hands
and figure things out. I don't want iPads, and I
truly like parents don't have me, don't don't don't fight me.
I don't want to give my kid an iPad unless
like we absolutely have to. You know, I'm talking about
like the long plane rides, all of that car ride.
It's like long hard rides. I'll do that, but I'm
not just gonna give it to her like on a
Tuesday afternoon when she's two years old, just because.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Like I don't care get school.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Looking at Harvard online.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Well we have worn to Harvard. You guys want my
kids a genius?
Speaker 11 (09:12):
Yeah, because yeah, my kid is like really smart for
almost two.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Like I'm sorry, I'm a big flex on you. It's
like if my kids smart.
Speaker 10 (09:19):
Well, remember during the draft recently, I think that there
was a young kid who didn't know how to sign
his like NFL contract, like you know where literally just says,
I sign your name here. And I think he was
had to ask for help because he's a never signed
a contract before.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
But b they don't like know what to do, which
is crazy. It is crazy.
Speaker 11 (09:35):
I feel like basic life skills, like I don't know
how to boil an eggtels like twenty five years old.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
I admit that right then a basic lisk.
Speaker 11 (09:41):
I think it should be boiling egg Like I really yes.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
That.
Speaker 11 (09:47):
Yeah, now, I'm sure all the technology we can boil
eggs let quicker.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
It probably does. But like my whole.
Speaker 11 (09:53):
Point is, like I just want my kid to like
use I don't know, like her brain and critical thinking
skills and like learn how to write her name at
least sign her name when she's twenty years old going
to Harvard, Like, I want her to be able to
sign her name.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Well, people over here, you know, we learned. I think
I brought this up before and you guys didn't know
what I was talking about. But I'm not that much
older than you guys. But we had print. Of course,
we learned how to write in print, and then we
had Danelion, which was which was one step between. I
looked up with her one night and in New Orleans.
(10:25):
She was incredible. No, I worked with her at at Lebert.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
No.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
No, it was a mixed but it was like the
step between print and cursive. It was like print, but
it had like the little endings on it. And then
you went from Danelion to cursive because you like basically
you learn how to write each cursive word in cursive
without connecting them. That was Danelian and then and then
you had But here's the thing. The very second did
somebody stop pleasing cursive? I started writing in print, and
(10:54):
I write like an architect. But the problem is, it
takes me a very long time to write something. I
bet should I had sort of paid more to I
don't know, we catch up catch with my cursive because like,
it's so much faster to write in cursive than this
than print. And I write in print, and so I
wish I didn't. But common Core are the learning standards,
(11:16):
not just now.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
I remember them talking.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
However, whatever that is no cursive Monossori school, someone said,
send them there. Some some Catholic schools still teach it.
I guess. I'm sure they teach a lot of things. Yeah,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
You're right though they don't. I don't think it's a
common thing anymore. And I think it's because where they
assume that people just don't have to write anything anymore.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 11 (11:39):
I know we live in a very digital world, but
I think again, like boil and egg write in cursive,
two things that we just got to teach our kids,
and I'm gonna start now. G you is gonna learn
how to write her autographs and make.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
My eggs, make mommy her eggs age too.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah, no, I get it. I get mommy a beer
and that you're more upset about the egg thing I.
Speaker 9 (11:58):
Am, because I'm like worried, like why don't know how
to boil the egg specifically, but.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Like how long are you supposed to boil it? Like
I didn't know. I had to look at but like
you could probably boil it too much? Oh my god,
Oh yeah, I'm sure you can't.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Honestly, if you gave me a pot of water and
a bunch of eggs, I don't I could probably figure
it out, but it would take it like a little
trial error.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Who knew about the ice path after?
Speaker 1 (12:19):
And the I is to get the shells off easier.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
This is not People are just with this GIK problem
with it with the original program, you know, like.
Speaker 9 (12:28):
James Brown on the phone right now, I got a
little like a little machine for it now, And what
do I need that for?
Speaker 4 (12:37):
You need to know, bro, what if the machine is broken?
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Then I guess I don't.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I didn't realize Deviled Eggs were such a staple of survival.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I don't have to mail. I gotta make that too.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, never been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Hey Jordan, good morning, Welcome to the show.
It's waiting by the phone, trying to figure out why
this woman Rachel is not calling you. We need to
know though, how did you guys meet? Tell us about
any dates you've been on, and then where things are now?
Speaker 7 (13:10):
Yeah, well things are not good now she's not getting
back to me. But we met out at a bar
actually about drinking, having fun. I thought she was cute.
I asked for her number, she gave it to me.
I hit her up the next day and reached out
about you know, going out and grabbing some drinks, and
she said yes and it was all good. But since
(13:33):
then I just haven't been able to get in touch
with her and I have no idea why.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Okay, you met in the wild and we talked about
this all the time on waiting by the phone. He's
pretty rare these days that people approach each other and
talk in person and then they can kind of vibe check.
Because the dating apps you don't really know. You might match,
you might chat, but then in person it could be different,
but in this case, you kind of everybody knew what
they were getting into. So then when you go on
the date, you're thinking, I got a little bit of
(13:58):
a head start here, and you felt that there was
good chemistry on that date as well, so you're surprised
that she's not interested in another date.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Yeah. Yeah, we hit it off. The vibe check went
well when we met, and we have drinks and laughed
and had a good date. But I don't I have
no idea what happened. She's just not responding. I just
I met a loss of words. Really, I don't know
what happened.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Well, allow us to put your mind to these because
we'll give Rachel a call. You'll be on the phone,
and I don't want you to say anything right at first.
We'll try and get some information for you. At some
point you're welcome to jump in. And the hope is
always And it doesn't happen very often. It has happened
a few times. I think I can count on less
than two hands a number of times in all these years.
But it does occasionally happen where we're able to sort
(14:43):
of figure out what's up and set you guys up
on another date, and that's our hope here.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
All right, Yeah, no, I appreciate it. Sounds great. Hey, Jordan, Yeah,
welcome back.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Let's call this woman Rachel, who you met out in
person at a bar, asked her out, who got her number,
asked her out?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
You guys went out for drinks. You you thought the
date went well.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
You walked away from the date thinking this is this
is great, everything's going very well, and you'll see her again.
So you reached out to try and set up what
I guess would be a second formal date. She has
not responded to you. You feel as though you're being ghosted.
You would like to know what's up.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Yeah, that's all i'd like.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
All right, let's call her now. Good luck, Jordan, thank you? Hello? Hi?
Is this Rachel?
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Is she?
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Hey? Rachel? Good morning.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
My name is Fred and I'm calling from the Fred's Show,
the Morning radio Show. The whole crew is here, and
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now and I would need your permission to
continue with the call. You can hang up anytime, but
can we chat for a couple of minutes about something.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
I don't I mean, I'll do it. I'm okay, so nervous,
but okay, I.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Mean yeah, in fairness, I would wonder what was coming
next to But we're calling on behalf of a guy
named Jordan, who you met in Okay, you know Jordan.
You guys met in person and then went on a date.
So he called us and he told us this story
about how you met and he says that you guys
went on a great date and he felt that the
chemistry was there. And I'm paraphrasing here, but he was
(16:14):
expecting that he would see you again. He says, he's
reached out for another date. You're not responding, so that
there's a disconnect here because it sounds like you didn't
have a good time.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
What happened, Well, he insulted me. I won my entire career.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Actually he insulted you. Yes, how did he insult you?
Speaker 4 (16:31):
I'm a teacher. I'm a teacher, and while.
Speaker 6 (16:34):
We're getting to know each other on this date, he
asked me what I did. But his response is what
get it?
Speaker 7 (16:41):
Like?
Speaker 5 (16:41):
He starts laughing and says, what's that saying?
Speaker 10 (16:45):
Again?
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Those who can do those who can't teach?
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Ooh what I mean?
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, you don't say that to a teacher, like, yeah,
why would you know, why would you say that to
someone with whom you're trying to make a good impression. Hey,
that thing you do, you know, Like, yeah, the whole
profession's kind of whack.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
You know.
Speaker 9 (17:05):
I've never heard people disc teachers like this is new
for me, and that's so wild.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
You are you got to be a real weirdo to
do that.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, that's very insulting. Fred.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
It's like when people like dis radio. You've said on
dates before.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
I don't listen to the radio.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm like, well, that's that's cool, because I'm paying for
this and with the money that I made from the
thing you don't use. And then, by the way, when
you call me a month later ask me for Taylor
Swift tickets, I guess. I guess radio is not so
bad after it lay. Or like when I take you
on another date or a trip or something, it's oh,
and buy you a gift or whatever. Yeah, all that
money is from that thing that you don't do. Okay,
(17:41):
let me bring Jordan in. And I'm sorry Rachel that
I forgot to tell you that Jordan is here. I'm
very forgetful. Maybe maybe you saw that one coming. But
why Jordan, would you say something like that? And then
why are you calling us? Like, if you say a
thing like that to someone, you have to know that
that's a possibility that you insulted. That there is a
possibility that you insulted that person.
Speaker 7 (18:03):
Well, I mean, that's kind of a dumb reason to
not call somebody.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Back, A dumb reason. What do you do? I work
in finance. You know what I heard?
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Finance people they only work with other people's money because
they don't have their.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Own cool style.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Yeah, I hear all he wears a patagony vest. And
you know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
I mean, like, would you appreciate being generalized in a
negative way?
Speaker 1 (18:26):
I know that wasn't even a negative way. Like I'm
not the one that came up.
Speaker 7 (18:30):
With the saying like that's a real saying. I was
just saying it, like, well, there are a lot.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Of real sayings.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
It doesn't make them true, and it also doesn't mean
that it applies to everyone or anyone. And it also
doesn't mean that it's something that you say to a teacher.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
You never had a teacher, bro, That's what I'm so lost, Like,
why would you diss a teacher.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
So no, I think it's super cute.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
So she's a teacher.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
Cute, Oh wow, huge, Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
It's very rude because I mean, I don't think I
have to explain it, Kiki. But it's like, I think
there are people out there saying, well, you're teaching other people.
If you're so good at teaching other people how to
do something, and why aren't you doing it? But in
many cases, people have a gift of being able to
instill knowledge and other people and they are good at it,
and they're choosing to help the next generation learn or
(19:14):
be whatever. So I think that's a stupid thing to say,
especially to someone who's proud to be a teacher, as
Rachel is. Why would you diss the profession of a
person with whom you're trying to make a good impression
and go on romantic dates with.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Well, No, I wasn't even trying to diss her, like said,
I mean, what were you trying to say that that?
Speaker 7 (19:34):
Oh, I was just saying, you know that, like you know,
you know, that's just reiterating saying I heard that you
know people that can't do teach, and you know, I don't.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Know, right, So you're saying to her that she can't
do whatever it is that she teaches, that she's incapable of,
like achieving more. That's not a nice thing to say.
And you don't even know, you don't know enough about
her to even be able to say something like that.
It's an insult.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
Oh, it's it's listen.
Speaker 7 (19:59):
I think it's what she us is adorable.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
I give Oh, here we go.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
You're making God, there's a self awareness issue here because
you clearly don't realize that the things that you're saying
are not helping your cause.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Adorable.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
I'm telling her that.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
It's like it's a cool thing.
Speaker 8 (20:19):
You know, I don't know what do you want me
to do? Like I don't know what you want? Okay,
just because yeah, he's not getting it. Like she's obviously
passionate about her job and cares about it. So I
would only say really nice, enabling, positive things about you know,
how much you admire teachers, or how much teachers have
made a difference in your life, or or you know,
(20:40):
how it's a selfless job, or forgiving many of the
things that people should be saying.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
But anyway, you didn't do it. You didn't do that,
did you Rachel, would you like to go out with
Jordan again? I know the answer, but I'll ask the question.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
I'm going to say now, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Well, thank you for being a teacher. By the way,
we have a lot of teachers who listen. We've all
been influenced by teachers. We appreciate what you guys do.
The fact that he doesn't realize what he said was
a diss is confounding to me. But anyway, Jordan is
not going to work out. Good luck out there man. Yes,
Ian Cawin's Entertainment Report, he's on the Bread Show.
Speaker 10 (21:12):
As Taylor Swift's historic eras tour came to an end,
the singer saved one last unforgettable moment for the people
who helped make it happen. Behind the scenes, she gathered
her crew and casually delivered news that stopped the room cold,
which we saw in the first two episodes of her
docu series on Disney Plus, nearly one hundred and ninety
seven million in bonuses was being handed out as a
(21:34):
thank you, So she actually in the documentary you see
her handwrite. She says it took her a couple of
weeks all the notes and then she whack sealed every
single bonus. She organized it, and she asked Cam, one
of her dancers, to read the note out loud and
how much you know money it was, and they bleeped
out the number. But people are thinking that the dancer
(21:55):
has got like seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars each
as a bonus, and and yeah, and and people were
reacting like that, Like one guy said he was about
to pass out. Other people dropped to the floor. I mean,
that's life changing money. The truckers, I know, got it.
I'm sure they got different amounts because I think the
dancers got a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
But got or something. But it made them made two
billion dollars. Yes, And of course she didn't make all
that right, a lot of mouse to feed there, but
I mean that's the right thing.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
To do, for sure, for sure.
Speaker 10 (22:24):
But it's just I love the internet because you know,
the e clip was posted and it was a sweet
moment and people were like, you do know she gets
tax breaks for that, and like it was just don't
be easily cool to do, like I mean, and they said.
The dancers were like, this is not We're not used
to being treated like this.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
This is not normal.
Speaker 10 (22:42):
So don't take that away from what she was doing.
Other parts of the documentary that really got me when
she was talking about that terrorist attack in Vienna that
they were able to you know, throw and nothing happened,
thank goodness. Also talking about how she privately before one
of the shows, met with the victims of the fatal
stabbing of those little girls who were in that dance
class in England, and she just came out of that
(23:05):
meeting just balling and just saying, you know, I have
to hide this when I'm with them, and but I
just you know, it.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Breaks her heart. So that was the most too powerful
moments for me.
Speaker 12 (23:13):
What did you think, Jason, Yeah, I think to go
off that, I think it was just crazy to see
like behind the scenes how she's we're always like she's
always so happy and like into it and whatever, and
to see like she actually has toy I have like
pep talks with herself like Okay, this is really heavy,
but when I go up on stage to do the show,
like no one needs to live with the clocket.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
I need to be like in.
Speaker 12 (23:31):
It, like no one's gonna be able to sense like
a shift of energy. Yeah, like she actually has to
tell herself that and I always thought it was just
innate in her like but like she's not a machine,
but she actually, you know, does have to reinforce you know,
positive energy, which was just crazy for yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
See.
Speaker 10 (23:46):
She she described it as like being the captain of
a plane and saying, like, I can't be unsteady or
nervous about something, the turbulence that's to come. I have
to say nothing we haven't seen before. You know, we're
gonna have a smooth landing. Even if that's not the case.
And the first show's after that tear possible attack, you know,
she wanted to have everyone feel safe and hide that
she wasn't so I thought it was the first two
(24:07):
episodes were really well done. If you saw actress Kate
Winslet's name trending on social and maybe because during a
recent interview, she said that Eminem asked her to shave
his butt while they were doing SNL together back in
two thousand and four. She told Graham Norton, this is
a story I've never told. Eminem asked me to shave
his bottom. Because she's British, she said. She told him,
(24:27):
I'm sorry, I don't do personal grooming. I'm not going
to go in with a bic and get your crack love.
And that was literally the interaction. And that was the
night that she made her hosting debuts. She says, I
mean she's never been back, said so, I don't know
if that scared her. But you know Eminem before he
got sober, and I don't know if he was sober
on that time, but he was kind of like.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Wild a minute.
Speaker 10 (24:46):
Yeah, he was a menace, and I think he was
probably just doing that to get a rise out of her.
But it was very funny, and she's a funny person
to do it with because she was like, no, love,
I don't shave butts, but there you go.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
And Laslie Jackson.
Speaker 10 (24:57):
Wu was at our iHeartRadio jingle Ball in New York
at Madison Square Garden. I have an epic photo of
Jason's little Find my Friends icon right there over the weekend,
and he was talking about adjusting to all of his
K pop Demon Hunter's fame. He said, two days ago,
I performed Soda Pop in front of Leonardo DiCaprio. He
(25:18):
was like, I was at an event, he was an
honoree and he said that he knew the song, which
is crazy like, why does Leonardo DiCaprio know that my
kids love right?
Speaker 4 (25:30):
I love that song our own shell.
Speaker 10 (25:32):
He loves the song Soda Pop, so I mean, I
think people and Golden is a banger as well from that.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
So well, if you're a parent, you're probably forced to
love it because you have to hear over and over again.
Speaker 12 (25:40):
Yeah, but Leo is it?
Speaker 1 (25:41):
So that's why you know? Yeah, puzzled people.
Speaker 10 (25:49):
Twenty year old for sure, and they were trying to
ask him, is this are the Saga Boys going to
get their own film? He was kind of coy about it,
but I'm sure they definitely could. I mean, people love
that and by the way, to watch all of the
amazing performances Nellie Jesse, Murph Ed Sheeran, it was amazing.

seventeenth and the next day on Hulu, so you can

there you go.
