Speaker 2 (00:44):
You know.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
It's it's always a big battle between LA New York Chicago,
who else, whoever else does these things? I don't know,
but guys, we made a big announcement about jingle Ball.
We made a big announcement of the Tangent Lives that's
sold out, and now it's the Thank You thirteen tour.
Oh yeah, and it starts Friday, right, I got so
(01:09):
much stuff this week. I haven't even gotten to Tuesday yet,
so I don't know, guys. It starts on Friday. Four
locations throughout Chicago Land. We're doing the show live four
Fridays in the first stop is at Smoky Joe's in
Crete from six to nine thirty on Burville Road. Yes,
in Crete, Illinois is where we're going to be.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Suburbs up.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, Smoking Joe's Friday morning, doing the show live, and
I can announce all of them.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah sure, okay, good.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Then the Brunch Factory in Riverwoods, then Avocado Theory in Naperville,
and then we take a week off and we're gonna
be at Dell Del Rooster, Del Rooster, Del Rooster in
West Town on Halloween. These are places I've never been
all of them. I mean a been to the city,
(01:58):
I've it's never been to remember last time I was
at Del Rooster, but I can't wait to go. Yes,
So we are taking a week off that we can
do one on Halloween, so those at a spot. So
this Friday, we expect Crete, Illinois to show out. I
expect the mayor to be there. I expect the key
to the city. I expect firetrucks and lights and police officers.
I expect high school band. I expect the football team.
(02:21):
I expect the homecoming King and Queen. Okay, that's Smokey
Joe's Friday Morning. And then we'll be in Riverwood's Brunch Factory,
and then Avocado Theory in Aperville, and then we take
a week off in Halloween in Westom at Del Rooster,
that is, and we'll have all this up to on
the Instagram. Fred Shire Radios he can double check. But
tell all your friends the thank You thirteen too. A
not to be confused with the Tangent Live. Not to
(02:43):
be confused with Jingle Bowl well up in the city.
I actually do. I do have a burner. I do
have a burner.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
You do you do? I've never used it, but I
have one.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
I know you was sex in the show.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, I sit here, that is so hands I say,
how terrible we are. Frend's show is on.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I mean, speaking of which, we just got a text
and this is for our Chicago friends. But we announced
in Chicago and of course anyone's welcome.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
You can fly in if you want.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
You should.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Uh the Thank You thirteen tour where we hit fourteen
or we hit four different spots, yeah, four, we would
hit eight. This will be twelve total. We're trying to
hit everywhere and then we're going to expand this. By
the way, I think we have some uh some rough
plans for Raleigh.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Oh wow, we me know. Well, you've been on the emails.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Okay, you wrote an email about this like a month ago.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
You just don't remember. No, I remember the idea. I
didn't know there was a plan. But we're planning. Okay,
yeahly planning.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Me.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
It's a current end plan. Someone's got to pay for it,
so they plan to pay for it.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
But anyway, you're like, oh really yeah, and guess who
gets to put it together? You? But anyway, long story, Shirt,
We're going to a place called Crete on Friday. And
this is we just announced this, right and this is
this is why I am the way I am. Guys,
I just want you to know, this is why I
am the way I am. This is the text, but.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Just to say, like, after a lot of planning for Jason,
like it's very difficult to find places, and he puts
a lot of work into it.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
It takes a lot of time. And then we also do.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Research on where the thirteen may reside. So there's a
lot of work that goes into this wall.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
We have, no dear, there's been a lot. Yes, there's
a lot of that.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
And more importantly, we're trying to get to every place
as we do this. So as a person who lives
in crete ones, this place is still we're going is
terrible and too You're expecting way too much of the
city if you think that people are actually.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Going to show up.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Wow, so encouraging exactly.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Thank you, so thank you for waking up this morning
and thinking, I know, I'm going to just crush their
dreams because we're excited to like hit the road and
meet everybody who's like kind enough to tune in every morning,
Like guess it really means a lot to us, and
your loyalty is very important to us, and so that's
where we're going to try and hit. I'm going to
mind not we already know that I am. I am attending.
(05:07):
I'm going even if I have to set the thing
up myself. Michael, I'm going might not Michael will be
there before it gets freezing cool. I'll be there.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Uh, Norfolk, I'm going West Palm. I'm going.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
I'm everywhere I'm going to. I don't care if I
have to Yeah, you know what, No, you're going to
mind not. I'm going to West Palm.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
That's how.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
That's how this is going to go.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
I don't care if I have to set up in
front of a huah wah myself and just eat a
sandwich and say hi. The little sign five cents for
what it was, it a little snoopy thing, relationship advice
five cents or whatever, psychological advice.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Anyway, So yeah, thank you for that.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
So anyway, if you live in Creede, Illinois, I really
hope to see you on Friday, because I have a feeling.
I just have a maybe maybe this person's exactly right.
Maybe it will just be us talking to ourselves all
morning and so be it.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
But you know what, we'll have a fun time.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
We certainly will. Okay, we certainly will.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
But you guys, this is why I am the way
I am, because we're just here trying to do a
good job, trying to get out and meet people and
shake hands and literally kiss babies because we're grateful for
all of you, and feature some local businesses and that's
what we get.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
So sure, come on by South Suburbs or don't. We're
this guy wrong.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Because I don't know if you've realized this is about us.
But we'll entertain ourselves.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Right there's the bar, so it's fine. But yeah, this
is why, this is why I am the way I am.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
It's guys, you know, Jason built me. We came with
this idea and Jason's will, this hard work and we're
gonna be there and all this time. This is exciting
and his logistics and yay your live show. And then
it's no one's going to come.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
And he goes twice every spot like he goes and
checks it out, he does a line check, then he
goes to entertain you all.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
I was there multiple times and it is not awful.
So they're very nice people and the food looks amazing.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Thanks, And then we have a response. I don't mean
to crush your dreams. The town crushes mind daily. Oh appreciated.
I hope I home, you have a fantastic day. I
hope you have a great day. Yeah, I really do.
I want everyone to have a wonderful day, but especially
(07:14):
the person who's telling us that no one's going to
come to our lemonade stand. Waiting by the phone? It's
new and next, why did somebody get ghosted? Show been
Shelley four hundred bucks? Kankey's Court is coming up.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
But ump bump girl, not in my guess room.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
And if you want to know where else we're going
on the tour, if you're in the Chicago Land area,
then the instagram. Fredshire Radio's never been left waiting.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
By the phone. It's the Fred Show. Miles, Good morning,
welcome to the show. How are you hey, good morning,
Thanks for having me. I'm really good, really good. Okay, well, well, I.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
Mean I could be better. That's why I'm calling you.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
He's really good, but he could be excellent. Okay, I
see this. Okay, he's good, positive guy, but he could
be a lot better if if Jessica were reaching to you.
Now we got to know, you know, kind of the
whole backstory here on waiting by the phone. How did
you meet Jessica? How many dates have you been on?
What were they like? What's going on now? Why do
you think you're being ghosted kind of fill us in.
Speaker 7 (08:10):
So we met on Hinge and we've only been on
one date. We talked for a bit, we planned a
date and I took her out for drinks and I
I want to see her again. But it's been like
over a week since our date and she hasn't texted
me back, and she's not answering me either, and I'm
(08:32):
just am curious to know as to why.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Okay, all right, and again I asked the question every
time and everyone lies. But do you the conversation was good.
I mean, no weird topics. You really felt like everything
was flowing. Like you left this date. I need you
to have a moment of self awareness here. But you
left this date and you felt like you were going
to see Jessica again. It was it was at least
(08:55):
that's successful.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
Yeah, one hundred percent. Like I left it. I walked
out going this is great, like I'm going to see
her again. I can't wait to see her again. And
then nothing.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Okay, Well let's let's call her in just a second.
I'm gonna play a song. Come back. You'll be on
the phone. We'll ask these questions on your behalf. At
some point, you're welcome to jumping on the call, and
the hope is that we can figure this out as
always and set you guys up on another date that
we pay for.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Sound good, great?
Speaker 7 (09:18):
Sounds great?
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Hey, Miles, I'm here. Let's call Jessica.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
You guys, you went out for drinks and you felt
like the date went really well. But you feel like
she's ghosting you now because you've reached out to try
and plan date number two and nothing.
Speaker 7 (09:31):
That's right. That sums it up.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
All right, We're gonna call her now, good luck.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Hi is this Jessica?
Speaker 6 (09:45):
Yeah, this is she.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Hi, Jessica, good morning.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
My name is Fred. I'm calling for the Fred's Show,
the Morning radio show. The whole crew is here. I
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now and I would need your permission to continue
with the call.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Can we chat for just a second. You can hang
up anytime. All right.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
This is so weird, I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
But it's okay.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
We're calling on behalf of a guy named Miles who
reached out to us and he he shared that he
had met you and you guys went on a date recently. Yeah,
we did, So what happened with him? Because you know
the way that he describes things is that he liked
you and I guess you guys had drinks and he
felt the conversation was good and at least good enough
that you know there would be a second date. But
he says that you haven't responded to him at all.
(10:23):
So what happened? All right?
Speaker 6 (10:25):
Well, I don't know exactly what you know he told
you about this date, but.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
He said we were going out for.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Drinks at like his spot. You know, he said bring
a bathing suit. You know, I got really excited. I
didn't know what his spot was, you know, a swim suit. Like,
I got very excited. I didn't know what I was
getting into. He just gave me an address, you know,
didn't say exactly where to meet, just the address.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
He told you for drinks and gave you an address
and told you to bring us swimsuit.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
Yes, so so big. I'm like, I'm very excited.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
I thought.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
I think, like it's going to be some like super
snazzy hotel or something. Yeah, like it's I don't know,
I don't know what I thought. I thought like maybe
a speak easy something something I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Okay, all right, all right, this is a swimsuit date
at a random address. Okay, so you would have been
an apartment complex pool. Now where did you wind up?
Speaker 6 (11:32):
I mean it could have been that. Yeah, but I
get there, I pull up and it's it's his gym,
a gym, so it's I mean it was a bougie gym,
but like drinks were like a smoothie. The swimsuit was
so we could go in the hot tub. Like I
(11:52):
showed up in dress and heels. I thought this was
it was going to be a spiffy like hotel or something.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
They had you in a play of fitness on one
no adjudgtment zone though, it which is cool. Wow, all right,
and so you proceeded. I mean go in there and
get in the hot sep and have a banana smoothie
or something.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
I mean, was that what the day was?
Speaker 7 (12:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (12:14):
Yeah, I mean it was cute, but just not at
all what I expected.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
And like just say we're going to the gym.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
You know, there are some like gyms that are kind
of country club issue depends where you live, but you know,
some cities have really fancy ones, but I guess a
little warning about that, and some have actual bars in
them too, so that would be something. But like this
this wasn't that. This was a gym elevated. Yeah, okay,
let me Miles. Miles, you didn't tell us about the
(12:43):
fact that you asked her to show up at Planet Fitness,
which is another way planet, but.
Speaker 7 (12:49):
It's not a it's not a Planet Fitness, So I
feel like, like my gym is fancy. Like I'm just saying, like,
I don't know that you could even afford a tour there.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I didn't have any money.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, okay, well, way to do some charity work then, Miles.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Nice.
Speaker 7 (13:09):
Look, I'm just saying like you could have ordered food
there too, Like you didn't have to stick to a smoothie,
Like like there were a lot of other options.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Do they have a kale salad there? That is unbelievable
at this place, You've never had anything like it.
Speaker 6 (13:22):
He didn't specify, and he didn't order food.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I was just going with the flow.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
It was my first gym date.
Speaker 6 (13:29):
I guess you know.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I mean at least he didn't like, try and get
you on the treadmill or something. I mean, you're trying
to get you to do some aerobics or something. I mean,
it's it's a strange venue and he should have given
you a heads up what to expect. But he says
it's a fancy place though, so there, yeah, so fancy.
I can't afford it, so yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Yeah, don't take me to a gym ever.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah again not on a date. Yeah, speak for yourself,
right and you'd be down for this. I've had a
lot of first dates that steam works.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Okay, Yeah, well that's not a gym on the third floor.
There's some there's some working out that takes place there,
if you know, you know, but that's a very different experience. Yeah,
even if it were like a nice kind of thing,
like a club or something, I would still want to
heads up as to what we're doing exactly, because you know,
she got all dressed up thinking that. You know, I
(14:18):
don't know what she thought, but that's a weird. It's
a weird place to take someone miles. Have we done
this before?
Speaker 7 (14:24):
You know, it was my first time.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Yeah, maybe it's the last, you know, maybe we don't
do that again.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Taking a shot. I was just trying to bring her
into a part of my world, you know what I mean,
like stuff that I enjoy, things like that, and I mean.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
You guys could have played like pickleball or something, and
maybe that takes place there and then you know, but
I don't know that an activity involved. There's a lot
of ways to set this up, and I don't really
think you did that. It's a little strange to go
hang out in the in the public gym hot top
on the first day.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Jason doesn't make that strange at all, strange at all?
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Okay, Well it was been there, yeah, okay, Well, sometimes
romance blossoms there.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
I don't Yeah, sometimes something blossoms.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Okay, all right, Well, look, would you like to go
out with Miles again, Jessica? What if we What if
we choose a neutral location that doesn't require any kind
of membership and we'll pay for it dinner drinks is traditional.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
No, I'm not interested. He doesn't need a free free meal.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
He can.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Membership better than I.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Think. He goes an equinox. I think that's what it was,
does fitness. But wait a minute, I don't know. I
don't know anything about that, Miles. She's not interested.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Man, I'm sorry, But maybe we just next time we
sort of frame this all differently, or maybe we don't
do that at all.
Speaker 7 (15:48):
I appreciate the advice and I'm just glad to know
what was going on.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Okay, Well, all's well, that ends well, Jessica. Good luck
to you, Miles, good luck to you as Well's entertainment
report is on the Freash Show.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
A sweet Instagram post yesterday, Miss Dolly Parton posted told
fans that she's struggling with some health problems, writing doctors
tell me I must have a few procedures. Of course,
she corrected a joke at her own expense, telling doctors
it must be time for her one hundred thousand mile checkup. However,
these procedures, which she joked again are not plastic surgery,
(16:22):
will prevent her from preparing for her Vegas residency shows,
and so they've decided to move the dates. She was
also clear that she's not retiring, but says she thinks
Scott's just telling her to slow down a little bit
and she'll be working on a few projects while still
in Nashville's worth noting Dolly has had a lot to
deal with this year, including the passing of her longtime
husband Carl Dane. Since six of Dolly's December concerts are
(16:46):
now being moved to September of next year, so if
you were going to go, you have plenty of time
to check flights, hotel rooms and more and move it,
which I appreciate.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
She called it pretty early. Tom Holland shared.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
An update on his health after suffering that mild concussion
on set for Spider Man Brand New Day while filming
on location in Scotland. He shared photos from a charity
event for his nonprofit back in London on Instagram with
the caption I'm sorry I had to leave early, but
I'm feeling better and I'm on the men. Spider Man
Brand New Day is the fourth installment to have him
(17:17):
play the superhero. By the way, Snoop Dogg is returning
to NBC's Winter Olympics coverage for the twenty twenty six
Milan Cortina Games.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
He will visit events as you saw him.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Do before, meet athletes and their families, and give his
take on the day's top stories in a little segment
called Snoop's Greatest Hits. As you know, he was more
than a hit at the par Olympics, scoring even two
Sports Emmys, which is crazy. The twenty twenty six Games
will start February sixth and NBC will broadcast them, of
course on TV, as well as Peacock and Lastly, Nicole
(17:49):
Kidman plans to bring more film and TV production to
Nashville in partnership with her close friend Reese Witherspoon. While
speaking at the Nashville Film Festival, she said that she
wants to expand the entertainment industry in the city, highlighting
the untapped potential for production and the quality of local
crews and talent. She also emphasized the welcoming nature of
(18:10):
the city, which has made her feel like she's at
home since her move in two thousand and eight. So
I didn't know, well, I guess it makes sense. She's
with kathub and she loves Nashville, and so they're going
to bring some more stuff over there, which is awesome.
If you missed any part of our show from today
or any other day and you want to catch up,
you can do so by typing the Fred Show on
a man on the free iHeartRadio app, and please set
(18:31):
us as a preset.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
It really helps show.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Do you have what it takes to battle show biz?
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Shelley in the show Biz Showdown.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Good morning, Michelle, how is your weekend showbiz it was
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Our dishwasher broke, so that was.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
No, it just broke. It just wouldn't turn on. So military,
I think you guys taught about this a while ago.
But Military Mike, like he refuses to call her repair person.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
My life done. Oh he has to try and fix
it himself.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Yeah, and I will give him credit. He does.
Speaker 8 (19:06):
He fixes pretty much everything he can, even if it
takes like a watch of a YouTube video or something,
he can figure it out.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
But hey, so we're good. Now we're good.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
But he's a better.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Man than I am because honestly, like, I'll try, I'll
make an attempt, but by the time I buy the
crap and try and do it myself, I should have
desired somebody, honestly, because it would have gotten it would
have been more efficient, it would have been probably the
same price or cheaper. Y. I accept my weaknesses. I
just I don't know. I don't have it. I don't
I'm not I'm not mister handyman. You know.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
I can't build a house for everybody, for sure.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
I see these people like on the internet that can
build like entire tables, and like, oh, you know what
my wife wants been to read of the kitchen this
weekend they build the cabinets like with wood and something like,
what do you really it looks so satisfying.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I just don't have it. I simply the time.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Right, it's a lot of times and these things take
a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
That's the problem.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
I simply don't have it. Actually, morning, Hello, Ashley. A
fun fact about you, ease.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Ooh. A fun fact about me is I'm a twim.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
You're a brother. You have a twin brother. What's his name?
Speaker 3 (20:13):
His name is Anthony?
Speaker 2 (20:15):
Which one? Are you better looking? Obviously?
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Me? Yeah, obviously, no doubt about it. I'm always hearing
people say that Ashley is better looking than Anthony. Everyone's
always saying that. But I just had to ask him.
So five questions, four hundred bucks is the prize. Shelley
has won one thousand and sixty one times, only lost
seventy three times, and six straight wins for the Shells.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Good luck, all right, girl, good luck, thank you?
