(03:11):
the showdown five pop culture questions against our pop culture expert.
Eight hundred bucks is sprised, endgame, win streak. We broke
a tie yesterday, big money today, we'll play in a
little bit, waiting by the phone from the Hall of Fame.
Blogs in just a second, and the Entertainment Report all
this hour as we roll commercial free.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
What's in their case?

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Michael Jackson's daughter fires back at one of the actors
on the movie about him.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
I'll tell you what that's all about.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, they talk better than they.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
These are the radio blogs on the Fred like writing
in our diaries, except we say them aloud. We call
it blogs. Kiki Yo, take it away, girl. We got
a lot to talk about.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
We do, dear blog. You know, life is getting very
real for me. You guys know, I've recently gotten engaged.
It feels very odd to say that, but it's true.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And you actually struggle to get the sentence out, like
I know, all jokes are say you like, I got
very weird.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Like I had to call Big Tim my fiance yesterday,
and I was like, my, I was a glitchen, Like my, my,
the man I live with, You're gonna.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Have to come up with a whole new comedy routine
now because none of that stuff works anymore.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
So and and surprisingly, the man who took seven years.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
To get his life together and make the best.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Decision in his life, he is now applying pressure on
when this wedding is happening. So I was like, okay,
let's aim for like twenty twenty seven, and he was like,
what about twenty twenty six, Like we can't make this
happen within a year.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
And I was like, look, wait a.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Minute, exactly. Oh you took seven and a half years. Yeah,
he sees your star rising. Is that what it is? Yeah,
that's what it is. But you know what that prenum
is gonna slap in the face, isn't it?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Maybe that prenup so solid. I got Mama fred on it.
She typed it up right now.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Don't you worry? Yeah, don't you worry.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
No, she's she's handling all the business now for the show.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
But yeah, I don't have anything to little.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
But anyway, he is actually the one kind of applying pressure,
like let's do this, and I'm like, okay, So I
go to my source of knowledge, which is TikTok, and
I say twenty twenty seven brides and I just typed
that in there, and then all these videos pop up
like I booked my venue, I got my hair and
makeup already done, I found my dress for twenty twenty seven.

(05:24):
That is insane. And I'm like, you know, meet Jason.
He knows that I like to dealian dally through life.
You know, I let things happen. I'm not a planner,
So this is not the situation for you at all.
I came in here, yes, and I'm looking at Chasing
like please roll your sleeves up.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
We got work to do.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
And I'm like, Kaylene, you've been in seventeen thousand weathers
that needs your help.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
But as I started the process.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Who's paying for this?

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (05:54):
Where do we get the money from?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Like, hello, I'm flush on Saturday. So I got you
that was gonna happening.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
I really let me. I'm serious about this lottery thing.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Like I've never wanted you to win the lottery more
than I need you to win anything.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I really feel like this is the time. And I've
been saying that for a couple of weeks, but it's skitch.
It lies. I've been lying to you all. I didn't
think it was the time. I just wanted people to
buy tickets so I could have more because I'm greedy.
So yeah, no Saturday, don't worry. We're gonna have about
seven hundred million. Pay some tax on that. I'll give
you a generous budget, please, tens of thousands of dollars
you can spend on your wedding free.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Walking into the door at the reception places, at the
banquet halls.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
You need to have thirty thousand dollars to even.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Talk to them.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Okay, so I haven't done any talking.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, so I turned around.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
It's crazy, like I mean, the dresses, the cakes, the
and then deposits.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Do a lot of them want their money now? Right?

Speaker 8 (06:44):
Fifty percent.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I don't even know if I'm gonna be eleven twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 7 (06:48):
You want me to give you fifty percent of this?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Oh my goodness. So I don't know. Guys, we gotta
do something.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
We got what are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Get like some payday loans and something like take out
a home equity line of credit? Like what do you
how do you do that? If you don't have that
kind of if you're not flush like that.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I'm righting Amy with a right on the damn Ryan,
a little squibs.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Everything, Amy with right.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
My name is.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Earth Like it's bad out here. I don't know how
the brides do it. If you, if you are in
the middle of this mess, please help me, because I
don't know what else.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
You know what you're this is what you should do.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Your wedding dress should be like a NASCAR track suit,
you know, like they wear, Like, just get all of
our sponsors to so we can have like Amy with
the right patch on their wind trust patch on their carter,
heating in air.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I'll keep going like well, just keep going.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Everybody buys a little spot on the dress and then
you know, we be paid for immediately. Each one of
my jewelers. Get that right on that, man, We'll keep going. Please,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
You can use my backyard. I told you yesterday I
got the party raj thing in my yard.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
Whatever you need to hobby congress.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
There's a little our table out there for entertainment.

Speaker 7 (08:04):
Yeah, no, Kiki, will it be a big wedding? Do
you think you know?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I want all the things?

Speaker 8 (08:09):
Because one I can't.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
I never thought this was really gonna happen, So now
that it is, I want everything, you know, guess wise,
Guess wise is, Yeah, it's going to be up there.
I talked to a lady yesterday at the torney station.
I said, you know what, girl, I got a win
coming in twenty Come on there. Yeah, invited, we are.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
We're trying to control costs and that's a big one.
Might want to sort of not do bad.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
It's crazy out here, man.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Just send all thoughts and prayers for brides because I
don't know how.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
You Yeah, because you want to be like a happy,
fun like process, and it's not.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
At the beginning when you get engaged with them, when
you get in the nitty griddy of it, it's like
more anxiety.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
It sounds like, yeah, and it's not.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Like a student loan where I can finis.

Speaker 9 (08:55):
Right.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
They want their money, they want it now.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Someone texted this and I won't even bother because I
didn't go over with my sister.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
And it's not going to go over with you.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
If someone Texas City Hall and a big party after,
you know when it's different. My parents gave my sister
a budget, right, so they wrote her a check and
it was, hey, you can spend all this or you
can keep it and spend five dollars.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
It's totally up to you.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
And I just kept pushing and it wasn't my day,
but I'm like, you should have whatever day you want, Amanda.
But you do realize that no one's going to remember
what they ate. I've already gone on this ramp before
no one. It was a beautiful day, and she did
a great job. She and my mom did a great job.
It was beautiful right before COVID. Thank god it happened.
Everything was perfect for them, I think. But like she

(09:37):
could have been. She could have won the power Ball
herself if she'd had a food truck and a band,
and she would have had a bunch of money in
the bank.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
That's the move, And I honestly.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Think if I look at it differently, right, because I'm
older and I don't you know, so if I ever
got married, I feel like, if I married someone my
age probably already been married before at this point, like
did all that, I would do that, I would say,
but I have to pay for it now. No one's
writing me a check. But if I were young, I
really feel like and someone were saying, here's your budget,
I would strongly consider a really, really fun night with

(10:08):
tons of booze and great food and great music, and
it doesn't have to cost a whole lot. And then
I take the rest of the money and I buy
a house, or pay off debt or do something, you
know what I mean, like something that twenty years from now,
you're gonna be glad that and maybe you'll be glad
you did that twenty But that's not you.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I know, that's not you. You know me.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
I mean the chair covers, the bulls, the sparkles, the
fire cover.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yes, I've ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
It's the Fred Show, Sidney. Welcome to the show. How
are you?

Speaker 8 (10:37):
I I'm well, how are you doing?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Okay? What's going on with this? Guy, Paul, tell us everything,
how did you guys meet? Tell us about any dates
you've been on, and then why do you think you're
being ghosted?

Speaker 8 (10:46):
Awesome? So Paul and I met at a bar a
few weekends ago.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
We flirted all night, I gave him my number, and
he asked me out for sushi.

Speaker 8 (10:53):
So this is probably about our second third date. It
was fun, he seemed to intriguing.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
We had great banter, and after our date, the sushi date, he.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
Ended up being cold to me.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I'm frustrated because I don't know why he was so
cold to me. And after that date he kind of
just disappeared. So I'm here to figure out why why
he goes to me After our date, I thought it
went well. I'm really interested in him and I want
to know if.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
We can go on the second date.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Okay, all right, because you met, you met in a while,
and we talk about this all the time. That matters, right,
If you meet somebody in person, that matters versus the
dating apps or the websites or whatever, because you can
gauge chemistry. You know what they look like, you know,
you know if you're instantly attracted to them, you already
know a little bit about the conversation and stuff. So
that's usually a good sign. And then you go on
a date and you can spend more time together, and

(11:43):
you felt, genuinely you felt like that went well. You
like you're really puzzled.

Speaker 8 (11:47):
Yes, yes, exactly. I'm really frustrated.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I'm really confused as to why he would just disappear,
and I'm even more confused as to why he was
so cold to me.

Speaker 8 (11:57):
We had great banter.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, frustrating to you because when you finally meet someone
that you want to hang out with and then for
some reason they disappeared and you don't know why. That's
frustrating on a lot of levels. So let's call this
guy Paul. In just a second, Sydney, you'll be on
the phone at the same time, and I don't want
you to say anything right at first, but at some
point you're welcome to jump in on the call. And
the hope, as always is that we can figure out
what's going on. Hopefully it's he can explain it and

(12:20):
maybe he's been busy or who knows, and we'll set
you guys up on another date that we pay for.
Sound good, sounds great? Thank you, Hey, Sydney. Hi, all right,
welcome back. Let's call this guy Paul. You met actually
out and exchange phone numbers, and then you went on
a date. You went out for sushi. You thought the
date was fun. You know, he was interesting, the banter
was good. But he's been very cold or non existent

(12:43):
since the date. And you want to know what happened
because you know, usually when you meet someone out in
public and hit it off and then go on a
date and a date that you thought went well at that,
it's like, well, why why wouldn't we keep talking?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Why wouldn't we go out again?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Right right? Let's call this guy and figure this out
right now? Good luck, Sydney, Thank you? NOAP, is this Paul? Yes,
hey Paul, good morning.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
My name is Fred.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
I'm calling for the Fred Show, the morning radio show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now, and I would need your permission
to continue with the call.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Can we chat for just a second? Would you mind? Wait?

Speaker 4 (13:23):
What hold on?

Speaker 1 (13:24):
What is that?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Can we just can we chat for a second on
the radio. I just need you to say yes on
the radio. I don't know, I guess okay, yes, thank you.
So we're calling on behalf of a woman named Sidney
who I guess you met out recently and then you
went on a sushi date with Do you remember this woman?

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Yeah? Yeah, how do you know?

Speaker 10 (13:43):
How do you know?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Okay, Well, because she reached out to us and told
us about you and meeting you and your date, and
she felt like everything went really well. But she says
that she hasn't you've been cold since the date or
not existent, and she feels like you're ghosting her after
what she thought was a great date.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
So is that true? You go saying, I mean what happened?

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Ah?

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Man, that's a lot.

Speaker 9 (14:06):
Yeah, yes, I know.

Speaker 10 (14:09):
I mean, I'm not trying to go so, I just
it was just a it was a weird date.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
I'm going to be honest with you. It's a weird date.

Speaker 9 (14:16):
And I mean that you're You're right, You're accurate. What
you said was true. We went out for sushi, but
it was just weird conversation. I guess, Okay, Well what
does that mean? Oh well there's okay. Well I was
getting there Sydney, but Sydney is here. I'm sorry, Paul,
I forgot to mention. I totally forgot that she was
also on the phone. What was weird though, because she

(14:38):
didn't think it was weird, She thought it was great,
So what was weird for you?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
No, it was totally weird. I was telling her.

Speaker 10 (14:43):
So, I'm helping out one of.

Speaker 9 (14:45):
My friends through like this really ugly, ugly breakup his ex.
He caught his X cheating and he like walked in
on it, and so it's been really hard for my buddy,
and so I've been there for I'm telling her this
story and she goes, oh, I yeah, I mean it's
okay for for somebody to cheat in a relationship. And
I just wait, I said, wait what? And she just

(15:07):
looks me dead the eye and says, well, yeah, I
mean men are allowed to cheat. My man's allowed to
cheat as long as long as he's respectful.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And respectful, Like, how do I respectfully cheat? I mean,
I guess there's there's respectful boundaries or respectful understanding of
what is allowed in a relationship and what is not.
But inherently cheating is lying, yep, yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
And so I told her.

Speaker 10 (15:34):
She told me this, and I just looked at her
and I said, you're you're describing like an open relationship
or polyamory.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Or something like that, and I'm not into it.

Speaker 10 (15:42):
I think it's kind of disrespectful for you to dismiss
what happened to my friend.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
And she was just adamant.

Speaker 8 (15:48):
She goes no, no, no, like she is fine.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
It's just got to be respect.

Speaker 9 (15:51):
She just kept saying respectful, respect, respectful respect.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Okay, I got it.

Speaker 9 (15:56):
I gotta get out of here.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Well, let me ask Sydney, why, how? What is respectful cheating?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I think all men cheat. I just don't want to
know about it. But respectual cheating to me is as
one as mine. You know, mean, what you're doing, I
think that's fine, that's fine. Let me just be clear, Sidney.
If I'm dating you, I'm respecting you by sleeping with
other women and not telling you about it.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yes, yes, who hurt you?

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Like who hurt you? Yeah? Yeah.

Speaker 8 (16:26):
I don't see a problem with it.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
I think as long as you are doing what you
want to do in the relationship that you don't tell
me anything about it, that's perfectly fine. I don't want
to know about it. I don't want to know about it.
But if you want to go out and have all
the fun, whether any type of woman do you want
to go out and do that.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Don't you tell me? Is this because Lord? Is this
because you want to cheat? Sydney?

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Like?

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Is it is it that you want to be in
an open relationship? Because just let's just call it what
it is? Or do?

Speaker 1 (16:57):
I mean?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Why? Why is if it's okay for your partner, then
is it okay for you?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Yes, yes, I am so.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Then why don't we just call this what it is?
It's an open relationship? Why don't we just say from
the beginning, like you want to see other people, you
want your partner to be able to see other people.
Why are we calling it cheating them? If this is
what your expectation is of a relationship, that both sides
can be free, then that's I don't know, that's not
cheating respectfully, that's an open relationship. And I realize I'm
labeling things here, but I mean, just for the clarity,

(17:28):
it doesn't really make sense what you're saying.

Speaker 8 (17:30):
I think it's more fun to be ambiguous.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I think it's more fun to call it cheating respectfully
and to not have any labels whatsoever, and then to
go out and do what you'd like and then not tell.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
Me about it. I mean, it's the same way for me,
though I could go out and do it if I
want me.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
I'm still on the phone too, thanks.

Speaker 9 (17:51):
You're having the same conversation with him that you were
having with me. You are not listening, Like, first of all,
if I'm on the radio, can I just say I
want to make it hello?

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Hello, I am not a cheater. I don't cheat, and I.

Speaker 10 (18:04):
Like to go into a relationship with saying I'm going
to respect you by not sleeping with a million other
women while I'm seeing you. And again, like Sidney, you're
you're you're just confused or maybe you're hurt. I don't,
I don't know, but you're you looking for an open relationship,
and I hope you find it.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I truly do. But you're not going to find it
with me.

Speaker 9 (18:26):
You'll probably find it with I don't know, two or
three other guys. If I'm being completely honest.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I don't think that's it's not a relationship, Like it's
not he's looking for a committed relationship. You're looking for
an open relationship. It's that simple. The sole cheating thing
is that like a fantasy of yours, Like are you
into the idea of someone sneaking around on you or
does that keep you on your toes like that you
wonder if someone's sneaking around on you.

Speaker 8 (18:50):
I live with the thrill of it. Yeah, I definitely
live for the thrill of it.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
I love the idea of it more than I would
say I would.

Speaker 8 (18:58):
I don't know, it's that's how you think.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
But I could say that if I'm going into a
relationship or as you were all saying, an open a relationship, still,
I wouldn't want anybody to tell me what's going on.
I still stand by the fact that all men and cheat,
I just don't want to know about it.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Okay, well he doesn't, and he's saying he wants a
more traditional relationship.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Ky case at these people straight.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
I mean, I'm here for her if she wants, if
she wants to live her life this way girl living.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
But what you're going to get is a trip to
the clinic. Okay. If you don't want people to be
honest with you about what they're.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Doing, yeh, that's that's That's a whole different topic, is comdea? Yeah,
I feel like you're asking for problems here without the transparency,
and you got to know city. Look, you can live
however you want to live and whatever. You know, whatever
gets your rocks off, good for you. But you got
to understand a lot of people are not going to
be into that. Like a lot of people's definition of
a relationship. And I'm not saying it's right or wrong,

(19:51):
but I think most people's definition of a committed relationship
is one on one, not one on one plus cheating.

Speaker 8 (19:57):
Right, Yeah, that's fair. I get that.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
I'm honestly, I think I'm perfectly right what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (20:06):
Okay, and I'm going to stand by it.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah, I think you're probably right.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
But a lot of people ever loved to cheat on
you girl.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
All right, Well it's not for Paul, and it's not
going to be for everybody. And I guess Sydney's okay
with that, and Sydney, there you have it. So he's
got into that, into those parameters. He wants something more traditional.
You want something different, and I hope that you find it.
I wish you the best of luck, Paul. I wish
you luck as well.

Speaker 9 (20:33):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Calon's entertainment report is on the Bread Show.

Jackson is setting the record straight about her involvement on
the upcoming movie about her dad called Michael, after Coleman Domingo,
who plays Michael's father, Joe Jackson, said that she and
her brother Prince were very helpful with the movie.

Speaker 7 (21:34):
She didn't take too kindly to that.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
She took to Instagram to clarify, tagging Coleman directly, she wrote,
don't be telling people I was helpful on the set
of a movie. I had zero involvement in Lol, that's
so weird. I read one of the first drafts of
the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest
and didn't sit right with me. And when they didn't
address it, I moved on with my life, not my monkeys,
not my circus.

Speaker 7 (21:56):
God bless and godspeed.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
So she did help, but she doesn't want to benoublished
for helping.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
So she read a draft, she gave notes, and I
guess they ignored her notes. Okay, So, but he said
that she was like he did make it seem like
she was like.

Speaker 7 (22:14):
On set support of him. Okay, so, and.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
I do understand, like it's dicey, it's her dad, you know,
but there are very dark parts of his life. So
it sounds like, yes, she did have some involvement, but
I guess she didn't like that.

Speaker 7 (22:28):
He said she was very helpful on the set. So
we will see. But you know, it's got.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
To be hard if you're if your dad, you know,
you love him and passed, but there's there's difficult parts
of the story they want to tell.

Speaker 7 (22:41):
But yeah, she didn't like that too much.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
I hope we actually get this movie. Girl pushed back
so many times at this.

Speaker 6 (22:46):
Point right, And I know like they're doing it with
like certain like lawsuits and certain things like that they
have to.

Speaker 7 (22:52):
There's a lot like writing on it, but I would
like to see it right. And I feel like his.

Speaker 6 (22:57):
Nephew is going to be eighty five and they're so

extremely controversial. It's brave of you, honestly, it was brave
of you to come out and say the DC over Marvel.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:26):
I think it's actually a scary thing to say publicly
because I.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Mean, people are so right or die, That's.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
What I mean.

Speaker 7 (23:31):
Now I'm in it, so yeah, yeah, the Marvel people
are wild.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
It's like that time you went on the air city
were a Libertarian. It was wild. It was just yeah,
I thought that was just it was so Brave. It
was Paulina's political minute.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
Yeah right right, let me have it so right.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
Director James Gunn announced a sequel to his Superman on
social posting Man of Tomorrow in theaters July ninth, twenty
twenty seven. So you're gonna hand it a wait, yes,
