Speaker 1 (00:00):
Also talk back for tickets sold out, do a leap
of tickets. It's seven fifty five. Got the keyword that
you need to leave us a talkback message on the
free iHeartRadio app, your name, this keyword and where you listening,
and you could be going to sold out to alipa
show at the UC on September sixth. I will not
give you the keyword yet because that would defeat the purpose,
I guess, but then have Brady on this afternoon. If
(00:21):
you hear your voice, then you're going to the show.
Also Takos and Tequila Festival tickets this week and Maren
Morris at Ravinia. Birthday questions, Kaylin, what did Shane get
you for your birthday?
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Somebody asked, okay, so there's something still coming. And then
we were supposed to do dinner. I shared with you
guys that we had to switch our plans a little bit.
So I will let you guys know as soon as
it comes in and as soon as I go to
dinner where I went.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
That was the question, what did he get you for
your birthday? And then we have to thank the birthday
caterers because we had a little party for you on
the porch yesterday and Jet's Pizza. Yeah, now they I
guess all woke up early and they went to Jet's
Pizza and they made pezza eight o'clock in the morning,
which I don't think they normally do.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yes, it's our guy Colin and he's at the Wabash
eleven forty four South Wabash.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
That's the one I always ordered from.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Is that your jet?
Speaker 1 (01:09):
That's my Jets College. Your boy Collins is a GM
and he got up early and cooked everything College so much.
Tell me what you do to that ranch. I don't
want to know. You might be sticking body parts in there,
mixing it around. I don't know what you're doing with
that ranch. I don't want to know. Just bring me
more of it.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
That ranch is silly, it's it's the best ranch in
the game.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Like even our boss who now he calls restaurants before
he goes to make sure that everything's sustainably sourced. Yes,
he wants to know, like where, which which, which river
the trout came out of? You know, even he was like,
I don't know about it. I don't know what this is.
And he poured that stuff and he was like, what
on earth is this? I would put it on anything.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
I'm sorry I introduced you to it because I feel
like it's it's tough. I have two squeeze bottles of
ranch in my fridge right now.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
But how long do you think it's supposed to?
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Laugh?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
I mean, can we ask Colin how long that ranch?
Because they they're very clear with labeling it. I don't
think it's like ranch like hidden Valley ranch fresh. Yeah,
I don't think you can live in your fridge like
the Hidden Valley, Like how long has just been in here?
Shaken up? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
It'll be fine, say like a week, but I'm gonna
I would extend it for that.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
It's worth the rest.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah, I don't know. I just keep buying more of it.
It's delicious. Did you have to advertise? What the hell?
You don't have to. We just did it for your Christina.
That's a birthday tradition around here. We get Puerto Rican food.
We got we had chicken, we had a roast, we
had banadas, we had balls. Oh. I don't know what's
(02:35):
going on there, but I need to travel. I need
to go to Puerto Rico. Stat Yeah, I would be
seven thousand pounds if I lived there.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I'm my top buttons on buttons, things you got.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
They got a beach there, but I wouldn't be I'd
be too fat to go to the beach. I'd be
eating bananas all day. But thank you to to both
of you guys for catering to breakfast So white and Kiki,
(03:12):
you have a demographic of fans that I never knew about. Really,
it is fifty plus year old white man. What did
they wait? Come give me right here?
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Every day.
Speaker 1 (03:23):

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Thank you so much, dear blog.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I wonder if you guys ever experienced this before with
a friend or it could be really anybody could be whatever,
like your boyfriend, girlfriend friend. So my best friend Jonathan
is dating a very nice, sweet, amazing human being.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
And I used to kind.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Of hate this, but you know, my best friends turned
into that girl were he would bring the boyfriend everywhere, dinner,
the party, this and that, and sometimes you know, you
just want to kind of like spend a little time
with your friend. You don't need like the whole crew
there and the whole everything. Like I just want to
spend time with Jonathan, and he would always bring his
boyfriend and I wasn't ever really bothered by it because
I am a very much goal with the flow girl.
(05:06):
I bring my baby everywhere, so like I guess we're
the same, right, like I was got my plus one,
But I used to be so annoyed. I used to
be like, well, you know, I kind of want just
be wih on the thing.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Whatever.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I got over it because I think I'm starting to
like his boyfriend more than my best friend, and.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
I didn't think that would ever happen.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah, Like I'm starting to feel like, you know, like
I found my people, Like I love my best friend.
And if he hears this, like he knows I'm just
like messing. But like I low key think I might
like his boyfriend better in terms of like just the.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Way we talk.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
He helps me with a lot of stuff and like
online and like he's just so smart as a marketing guy.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
He's brilliant and like we just bond.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
He bus with my baby, like we go to breakfast
and stuff, and like Gigi loves him.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Wait till you start leaving johnthan out, you start inviting
the boyfriend. Oh, I can't wait.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I can't wait to fight.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
It's like pictures of you guys all hanging out. Jonathan's like,
what about me? Right?
Speaker 4 (05:57):
H I like him better.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
I feel like we just were having to bond a
lie and I really like him. And at my block
party we gave each other a hug and I said
love you and he said love you, and I.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Think, like, I think we're besties now.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Wow, but now I feel like Jonathan, mikel a little jealous,
Michael a little jelly, And then what's cast out?
Speaker 6 (06:14):
Now?
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, I love my sister, but as you know, the
artist formerly known as death Metal husband, Yeah, I thought
of that. He's come a long way. Uh, And I
would say, day in and day out, I think I
like him better. Yeah, I love my sister. I love
them both, but I think I like him better. And
what's funny is she wanted nothing more than for us
to be best friends. Yeah, and now we're cool and
but like, but now we we're not allowed to hang
(06:36):
out together without her, so they no fun police will
make sure that gets shut down. So like we can't
bond on our own because we might have a good time,
and if she's not there, then that's not okay. But
that's what she wanted. She want us to be boys.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
And now we're boys in the hood like you so much.
And now it's like no, but you know, it's like, oh,
you guys can't go to the bar unless I'm going
or whatever else, like wa, wait a minute, But like,
I want to hang out with him. I like him.
He's a good guy, he's a great dad. He seems
like a good husband. I don't know what he's really
like to be married to. But I don't have to
marry the guy so exactly. But yeah, no, I completely relate.
(07:09):
And again it's not that there's no lack of love
on either side, but yeah, I would rather hang out
with him per capita most of the time.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
I think this would happen so quick, Like, and I
love his boyfriend. His name is Patrick.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I really liked him, but I didn't think like that
would be like my new bestie, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
And I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Maybe maybe Amanda and Jonathan will get together. We'll send
them off somewhere.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Yeah, they think they'll be friend.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Yeah they can be and we'll hang out and we
can hang out.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
He's ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show age. Good morning, welcome to the show. How
are you?
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Thanks for having me?
Speaker 1 (07:43):
You know what for right now? You're welcome. I don't
know how I'm gonna feel in a few minutes. He
could vary. It does vary sometimes, but it's waiting at
the phone. We're trying to figure out if you've been
ghosted by this woman named Melissa. So we got to
know kind of the whole story. How did you meet?
Tell us about any dates that you've been on, and
then where things are now.
Speaker 5 (08:00):
Yeah, well we met pretty much the same way most
people meet these days. It was on an app bumble.
We went out for drinks and honestly, the date was
like super fun. It was flirty. I had a really
nice time. We even ended up going back to like
my place to hang out afterwards. I was a gentleman,
(08:21):
and then I just I don't know what happened. I
was actually really looking forward to like hang hanging out
with her again.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
So so the chemistry helped the vibe. Yeah, sorry to
interrupt you, but it was all good enough that you
wind up back at your place that's usually a good sign.
And you know you said you were a gens on.
I guess that's your way of saying you didn't push anything.
You weren't you were like a little little perv. You
weren't like a little creeper. No, No, you know.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Like that's the whole thing. Like even when you're saying
when you end up back at your place, that shows
like comfort levels, Right, I try to stay very attuned
checking in all that. So, yeah, I just don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Okay, So, but normally I would say that's all good,
except she left your house and you've reached out to
try and plan a second date and she hasn't responded
to you at.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
All at all.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah, that's frustrating. Well, I suspect she probably is, but
at least physically. Mentally, I'm not sure what you did
to her. But let's let's call it, Lisa, just a
second and a play a song. We'll come back and
see if you can figure out what's going on. It
has happened before where you know, there's been a good explanation,
We've been able to straighten things out, and hopefully that's
what happens here. We can set you up on another
(09:29):
date that we pay for. Sound good, AJ, Let's call
a lista. You guys met on bumble, You went on
a date, the date went well, you wind up back
at your place. You said that you were a gentleman,
you were well behaved, and you felt like the whole
night was a success. Except you've reached out to her
for another date and you haven't heard anything, and you
want to know why exactly.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
I hope she picks up your call.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
You know they tend to. But let's see. Let's see
what happens. Good luck, AJ. Hello hisus Alissa, Yes it
is I'll listen. Good morning. My name is Friend. I'm
calling from the Fred Show, the morning radio show, and
(10:11):
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now, and I would need your permission to
continue with the call. Can we chat for just a second?
You can hang up any time. I know it's a
little bit surprising, but can we chat for a minute on.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
The radio radio, right on the radio.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
The radio radio, not the other radio, but the radio radio.
Is it cool if we chat for a second?
Speaker 6 (10:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Sure, Well, thank you very much. We're calling on behalf
of a guy who says he met you on bumble
recently and you went out. His name is Aj. Do
you remember meeting Aj?
Speaker 7 (10:38):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Yes, I do, I remember meeting Aj.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I figured there might be a story. He uh, he
reached out to us and told us that he had
been matched with you and that he planned a date,
and you went out and hung out back at his place.
I guess, but he's puzzled, as he's befuddled, he doesn't
know why you haven't returned his call as he's trying
to plan another date. So it sounds like maybe there's
a story here. What happened?
Speaker 6 (11:03):
I mean, yeah, I met Aja on the app and
we went out for drinks. We were having a good time.
We went back to his house to hang out for
a little bit, and honestly that's where things got weird. Okay,
we were on the couch, things were going nice. We
(11:23):
were clearly about to, you know, start kissing or something.
He actually stops and says, hold on, let me go
grab something. And when he comes back, he comes back
with a phone and tells me that he wants to
record a video of me giving consent to hook up
so that he can quote not be me too later,
or so that I couldn't quote me to him later.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
So I mean, okay, we.
Speaker 6 (11:52):
I meane we do, but like instead of like letting
things resume, I was really you know, bugged out by it.
So I just made up an excuse and I left,
and honestly I have not communicated with him since.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
So now, yeah, you could just be too careful.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Oh there's aj the attorney. I guess I was going to,
you know, give these health can So there's a sorry.
He wanted to make sure he had consented for that,
but he had no problem on the sneak attack here.
But anyway, so listen, look, so you you were everything
was good, age, I'll get to you, okay, But everything
(12:26):
was fine except and maybe it would have gone there,
but you thought it was just I don't know, it
just killed the mood. When he was like, hey, I
need documentation that that this is cool we're about to do.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Yeah, I mean, it completely killed the mood and it
was completely.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Out of nowhere and it was just not.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Where I thought things were going.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
And like, I don't know, I just I can't believe
he called the radio station two. That's all the things creepy.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
But whatever, Okay, so you go to be clear about this,
and so he was misreading this situation, like, you guys
were not going to hook up, You were not interested
in that what I.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
Was interested in at least you know, you got a kiss,
like I mean, we were obviously about to make up
make out.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
So he didn't misread the situation. He may have just
sort of over enunciated his need for you to consent,
which I hey, I appreciate that he was thoughtful, but
I also can see how that's kind of unromantic and
it's a fine line. And I also kind of want
to know, Aja, I'll bring you in now.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Aj.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Why are we Why is it? Why are we so
emphatic about this? Like? What have you been burned?
Speaker 6 (13:34):
People? No?
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Me, man, But it's just scary. You could just never
be too careful these days, you know, like you think
you know someone and then you don't. Later they could
just lie and take everything away that you've built and
worked for your entire life. You know, It's a little scary. So,
I mean, what's the big deal and just doing that
concert thing? All the rappers get it done too well?
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah, I mean when I typically have an attorney come
by and we we do finger Princeton's side contracts in
blood but I mean, so you know, I know what
you mean. But yeah, yeah, I guess you know. The
hope is that everyone's on the same page and everybody
wants to be there. She did come over to your
house on her own. She did admit that she wanted
to get with you. I understand being you know, careful,
(14:15):
but I also understand sort of over communication and that
can be a turnoff. So you know, it's it's kind
of about maintaining the mood. I don't know, Kick, you
kind of you seem like you're mixed on this.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
I am, because you know I'm with him. If you
have a lot to lose, sometimes you can never be
too careful.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
You know, we're having a serious conversation, and Kick, you're
still wearing a pointy birthday hat from yesterday, so from
Camlin's birthday. But okay, yeah, I mean, but I don't know, Ladies, like,
how do you listen? How do you moderate? Like, I mean,
you you went to his house willingly, right, like you
weren't being held captives, so you consented to that. I
want people to be respectful of consent, But I also
(14:56):
think that there's got to be a way to do
it where it doesn't kill them.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
Well yeah, I mean also it was like our first date,
so and I don't know if you if you can't
kiss somebody without meeting consent, you know what I'm saying, Like,
obviously you're not a rapper or whatever.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
You didn't make me sign.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
An NBA before we went and got drinks. You know,
if you're going to be that hyper vigilant about something,
it kind of gives me the impression that maybe you
do have a problem or that you know, maybe you
just need to like meet people in public places until
you guys are both ready to have an on screen
(15:36):
consent giving moment, you know, like on your phone.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Well that is kind of a tough one because it's
like I've heard the debate before should you ask to
kiss someone? Like can I kiss you? And I've heard
both sides of that argued. I've heard people say you
should ask, and I've heard people say no. It's it's
it takes away the element of sort of surprise or romanticism.
I guess you just kind of have to hopefully read
the room appropriately. I mean, do you guys want to
be asked?
Speaker 4 (16:00):
No? No, no, no.
Speaker 7 (16:02):
See that's and that's the thing, like I'm trying to
put myself in her. She was like, would I be
offended if the man whipped out the cameras?
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Like, hey, I need you to read this line. Video
is a little extreme.
Speaker 6 (16:13):
I would.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
That's a little bit like I'm being held captive, like
hold up a newspaper with the city's date on it.
You know, but you know exactly.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
But if he behaves well, then there should be no issue,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Like, that's my hard thing with it.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
It's like, yeah, it doesn't apply to every dude who's
doing stuff.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Yeah, it kind of goes from like well intentioned to
a little weird. I guess, yeah, it's yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:37):
It's tough out here. It's tough to date sides everybody dating.
I really apologize, well.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Look a list. I mean, I feel like he was
well and he had good intentions. It was well intended,
but it didn't It didn't obviously resonate with you. But
it could be worse. I mean, would you like to
go out with him again? We'll pay for it, and
I guess we can consent to all that right now.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
We have we have witnesses.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
You know.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
I do appreciate the offer.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
I do like honestly cannot believe that this.
Speaker 5 (17:09):
Is happening right now.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
But I'm honestly going to have to decline, and I'm
gonna have to suggest that a j maybe if like
you're that serious about it, you tell the girl while
you're still on the apps with her, you know, before
she even agrees to an in real life meeting.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
You to be so you won't have to do this again.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yeah, like to send her a DOCU sign and yeah, something, yeah,
something is just really simple. I don't know your phone.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Like when people who used to work here, like when
I would take a photo with them, they would put
their arms up in the air as if I was
trying to going to get them for sexual harassment.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Like that's offensive to me.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Like, just be a good person and don't grab my
butt and we'll be fine.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
That seems like less, but I should X or no,
don't work.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
No you never asked me.
Speaker 8 (18:02):
Yeah, well you can grab You have consent from Lord,
all right, in perpetuity, miss Kiki. Okay, yeah, grab my butt.
I don't know, I might come up with a different
approach to come up. I might devise a different approach
to get the same information, or to Caitlyn's point, just
don't be creepy and be open minded to what people
are comfortable with, and maybe you don't have to go
(18:23):
that far.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
I mean, I feel you, man, but like, yeah, I'm trying.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
You think he's the rapper too, right, You don't talk
about that enough.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
I mean, I got her on the radio. She doesn't know.
I got her on the radio. I could have been
a rapper.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
She doesn't know. Okay, I did not.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Just be respectful to.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Women, to be respectful to yourself, you know, like if
you got like just I don't know, you definitely need
to change your approach and definitely lose my number.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Do not send me your mixtape, give you your time. Best
of luck to both of you. Thank you can report
he is on the breas.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
The official cause of death for Ozzy Osbourne was a
heart attack, with the death certificate also showing coronary artery
disease as well as Parkinson's playing a role in his
death or his passing. Ozzie, of course, died on July
twenty second, with his family saying he passed surrounded by love,
and this all came only seventeen days after he played
(19:21):
that back to the beginning concert with the og members
of Black Sabbath.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
It was iconic. He had this like.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Very cool throne that he performed on and the benefit
also raised two hundred million dollars. I'm taking a hard
right turn right now to Travis Barker, who is going
viral after liking some of his son's girlfriend's photos on Instagram.
The issue is that it was a it was a carousel,
But the issue is that the photo, the main photo
(19:47):
in Landon's girlfriend Skyla Sanders post was a very naughty
bikini pick and then to see you know, Travis Barker
liked it.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Underneath people are calling it super inappropriate.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
The picture was her hugging a tree holding a book.
So that was the one he right, and she was
fully close.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
Yeah, totally.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
That was absolutely what he wanted to make sure everyone
saw that he signed off on.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
And you know that once he saw the bikini pick,
he totally swiped through all the photos.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Absolutely, the one with her like saving the dog, yeah,
giving CPR to the rescue animal. No, that was the
one he liked. The homeless, Yeah, that was what she
was doing in that carousel.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
Yeah.
