no idea what I'm going to do with.

It's also very heavy, is very heavy psycholoy.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
OK.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Yeah they talk better than they say. These are the
radio blogs on the Fred Show. Listener number one of thirteen.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Danita said it's Monday, right, I said Monday, didn't I
She's I think she's confused, but I'm confused. I don't
know where I am or what it is. I believe
it's Monday. I believe I said it was, but I
don't know. I may not have anyway, it's Monday. Guys
like running in our diaries, except we say them aloud.
We call them blogs. Paulina, Yes, take it away.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Go Thank you so much, dear blog.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
Earlier on the show, we were talking about etiquette. So
I do have an etiquette question of some form. Okay,
here's my dilemma. You've come to the right place. I
feel like I have, I really have, and this room
is just full of answers and wisdom.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
When I take etiquette classiness, I don't think of this
for go ahead.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Yeah, well, okay, so hear me out and tell me
if I'm wrong here, because I can somewhat take that.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
But just you know, gently tell me this.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
So I live on a block like most people do,
like a street, like a block houses. Okay, I'm there, resident.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
We're setting the scene here, guys.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Okay, this is this is why I'm saying it, though.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think about it. I lean on a street which
has stop bragging, We've got like actual parking because it's
a street, and I don't think anybody owns it unless
I'm mistaken. Okay, you can tell me, like parallel parking,
like any parking.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Like in front of my house parking. I don't own
the street. I don't own the parking. So when people
come over, whether it's to my home or they come
over to visit my neighbors, they've got their people coming.
I feel like it's it's just up for grabs. You
can park wherever you want, even if it's in front
of my house. Yeah, it sucks, but like it happens.
So now you know, I am a woman of of
of people, you know, having over my home kind of thing,

(05:36):
Like I love.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
People at home.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Where is this going?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Let me tell you it's giving about your staat or.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Something people in her home because.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I'm a woman of having people over at her home.
I'm not wrong here.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I bet you're right.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
You're a woman and you have thank you, thank you.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
So sometimes you have a lot of people over, whether
it's like family, We've got a lot of family, we've
got a lot of friends. On Saturday, I had people over.
It was about like ten people. Oh thanks, okay, well
it was like something else whatever. But my point is
those were those were her friends friends. Yes, it was Yeah,
it was the thing. But I had people over, so
I was like, cool, they parked in front of my home,
in front of other people's homes.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
I got a whole text message.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
About it, being like, oh, you know, we don't appreciate
you know, you having people over all the time, because
then it takes up our parking.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
And our block has a lot of driveways.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
I don't have one, so like, I know that the
parking is a little bit limited, but it's a street design.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
For parking, so I's a public streets, thank you.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
It's this isn't like a This isn't like an HOA.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
No, like a private.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Situation, right, which isn't like a community or something where
maybe I don't know, there might be some sort of
hoa rule about how many people can park in front
of your house or when or where whatever. This is
a public You live on a public street in a
major metropolitan city.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
You no signs, Nope, not like I understand that's like
the handicap or like permit parking stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Nothing.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
It's free game, you guys, and park there right now
if you want to, and that should be fine because
it's a public street.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
But what do they do when they have a party?
Where do those people park right in front of your house?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I'm sure?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
And it sucks. I get it.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
Like I've had to park in the garage before. Like
there's a church across like the street technically that has.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
A carnival every year.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Now that that weekend is like I'm parking at like
you know, another other county.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Like what, we're just out of here?

Speaker 5 (07:20):
What is it?

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Like?

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I live on a street too in a city.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Is it like if my guests come over and there's
no place to park, then I should be mad at
the people who parked.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
That's no. You don't know.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
People think they own the block? Okay, what did you resign?
And you take it to the floor? I hope so
you know I did.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
I was like, well, well, I was like, well, you know,
I believe a city of Chicago does own the street that.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I live in.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
And I'm like, and I think that they own the street.
And I was like, unfortunately, change. Can I have a
hobby has If it's a hobby, I'll text them for I.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Really want to do a dramatic rating of it. But
if you see if he'll send it to us because
I would love to do it the back and forth here.
So no, so they're upset because you parked in front
of their house. Do they have a driveway?

Speaker 6 (07:58):
They do have a driveway, so then they their cars
in the driveway. You guys are fine, Like you guys
are your drive away and this is only like two hours, Like.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Stop it knocking off.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I don't understand where they're supposed to go, That's what
I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Like my guests are there's not.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Like a parking lot adjacent, and they're choosing to park
in their lawn or something like I mean, yeah, I'm sorry,
I'm having a party and I don't I guess I
don't know what you're supposed to do.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Maybe it's because like we do have family over and
people over, and it's a more common thing at my house,
like Kaitlin's been there when I've had like a rotating
door of people in and out.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Maybe it bothered them. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
When I came to your house to meet Gigi, I
parked in front of someone else's house because there was
no parking in front of your house. Who were those people?
Who were those guests? And they didn't ask you if
they could parking for you. That's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
I feel like, sorry, I more loved and I have
more people over that's it. I'm sorry. I got like
have a party. Just go have a party. You're not
coming to mind. I mean it's not like they were
tequila bottles in their yard or something. I mean, no, no, no,
not at all. Like we're inside like for two hours,
like it's a thing.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
Like I don't know, I don't I don't understand people
who get upset over that.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
And I know growing up, I don't know how you
guys were.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
But like my mom used to, like my stepdad too,
they used to get upset people would park in front
of their house.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
It was like a thing. It would have been, like
it just bothered you.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
Yeah, like I remember my mom would always say that,
And as an adult, I kind of get it now,
especially if I want to like just just go to
my car, and now I have to like walk, you know,
down the block to my car.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
That is annoying. However, I'm not texting anybody about it,
like it is what it is. Do you have a
neighborhood Facebook page?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
I do. Oh, I bet you're in there.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, I'm the talk of the town.

Speaker 7 (09:25):
I'm sure.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, I love all the ridiculous complaints in those It's like, really,
you need to find better problems.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Oh yes, I want to come in so bad, so hard.
But then I'm like, all right, I work here at month.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I'm sure it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But if they are annoying rather but if they had
a party and you came home, like you don't have
a driveway, then you may have to park on the
next block, and that's inconvenient for you. But that's the
way it goes because we don't on the street. It's
just that's didn't you know that when you moved into
the neighborhood that like this is it's a free for all.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
It is again, like it's annoying, I hear you, but
like it's it's not. I can't control who's parking and
who's not parking. Like if I have us take whatever's open, right,
get a driveway, get a drive me.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
No, I'm not doing that.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Yeah, I mean I guess I'm trying to think of
what the alternative is. Like I just want I just
won't have anybody over to my house anymore because you
don't like it, Like that's not how this works.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Well, maybe they're used to be the previous owners of
our home. Maybe having nobody over. I don't know, but
we don't operate like that.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, I mean when you're as popular as you are, right,
I am the girl a personality, you're a philanthropist, you're
a business owner.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I'm sorry, I got three told right here.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
It's not like you were out selling the parking in
front of their houses or were you well.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
Ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
It's the Fred Show. Hey, Damian, good morning, Welcome to
the show. How are you good. How you guys doing
doing all right? Man? Thanks for calling. Thanks for reaching
out to us about waiting by the phone. People can
hit us at Fred Show Radio on Instagram, Fredshow radio
dot com. Tell us what's going on and we'll try
and help. So you met a woman named Tara. How
did you meet? The standard stuff? We gotta know how
you met? About any dates you've been on? And then

(11:01):
why do you think you're being gusted?

Speaker 8 (11:03):
Sure?

Speaker 9 (11:03):
Sure, well we met at a holiday bar. We were
there with a I guess our respective friend groups sort
of speak, and I saw her and and I kind
of befriended her friends, you know, made a good impression.
On them because I knew that to.

Speaker 7 (11:17):
Help me in the long run, and it did. And
so when I got.

Speaker 9 (11:21):
Around to talking to her and everybody was treating me like, I'm.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
Pretty cool, I didn't waste any time.

Speaker 9 (11:26):
I just you know, pretty much told her I wanted
to go out with her to a dinner date. And
I did the next day and she said, okay. So
I was like, all right, it's sweet, you know, get
right to the point. The date was was a blast.
I had a great time and she did too. And
then she asked me for a ride home.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
So I thought, okay, she.

Speaker 9 (11:46):
Feels comfortable, maybe wants to spend more time with me.
You know, everything's pointing in the right direction. So so yeah,
I took her back, and you know, she hasn't answered
h two texts I sent you in a phone call before.
I was like, oh gosh, if I can't help it
to wonder.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
What I could have went wrong that reaching out to
you guys.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
I mean, that's hard to you it. Yeah, it's hard
to walk up to a group of women. That's that's bold,
you know. And it was smart to sort of get
in with the friends while targeting one of them, because.

Speaker 7 (12:20):
Yeah, yeah, you kind of have to go that way otherwise,
otherwise you get the.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Blocks, you know, but I give you credit for that.
And then you got the date, so that's also a
good sign. Except you haven't heard anything since then, and
you feel like you're being ghosted. So we're going to
play a song come back, call Tara. You'll be on
the phone at the same time. And the hope is
always is that we can figure out what's going on
and set you guys up on another date that we
pay for perfect. Hey, Damien, yep, all right, let's call Tara.

(12:48):
You met it at one of these holiday theme bars
and she was with friends, and you were with friends,
and you approached the group and you talk to everybody,
You got her number. You guys went on a date
that you thought went really well. In fact, you even
you said you took her home after the date, which
I mean that's kind of show the level of comfort,
I think. Except you have called and you have texted
since then, and she has not responded, and you want

(13:09):
to know why exactly. Let's call her now. Good luck, Damien,
thank you. Hello, Hi this Tara, Hey Sarah, good morning.
My name is Fred and I'm calling from the Fred Show.

(13:30):
It's the morning radio show, and I do have to
tell you that we are on the radio right now
and I need your permission to continue with the call.
Can we chat for just a second. You can hang
up anytime. Thank you very much. We appreciate that we're
calling on behalf of a guy named Damien, who I'm
sure you remember he walked up to you at a
bar and you guys recently went on a date.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yes, okay, what happened with him?

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Because we ch had it with him just a second
ago and he said, you know, gave us the whole
backstory about how I walked up to your friend group
and I asked you out and you guys went on
a date, and says that he can't get a hold
of you now.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
So why are you not responding?

Speaker 8 (14:08):
God? I okay, I'm not calling him back basically because
he called his mom crying during our.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Date, So why we will? First of all? Okay, well
I have a couple questions. Why was he crying and
why did he call his mom?

Speaker 8 (14:34):
Okay, well, I don't know how much he told you guys,
so yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
We didn't know how you mad that you went out
and then he drove you home that's it. That's all
we know.

Speaker 8 (14:42):
Okay. I mean, yeah, the date itself was really fun,
but yeah, it was just when we were on the
way home, I asked him to get me a ride
because we live pretty close to each other, and yeah,
that just ended up being total trip. Uh. Basically he

(15:04):
got pulled over, which I don't care about. You know
that happens, but it was just really basically the way
he handled it. He like started freaking out and hyperventilating,
and then it was like the cop went to check
his license and that's when he got on the phone
and he called his mom. He was just like sobbing

(15:26):
and I was just like, I a thirty four year
old man crying like this, I'm sorry, I can't so and.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
He was skating or was he Like what did he
have like, you know, bags of coke in the car?
I mean like, well, I mean what did he get
pulled over?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
What did he get pulled over for? He like missed
the stop sign, he got pulled over.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
He was going to get a ticket for it, and
so he called his mom with you in the car and.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Cried about it.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, okay, let me bring I forgot to mention the
damien is here. Uh criminal, dam I'm so forgetful. I
forgot so you you got you got pulled over for
a minor traffic infraction, and your first start is to
call your mom and cry.

Speaker 10 (16:11):
I mean, that's that's she's that's an exaggeration, like, that's
that's crazy to me to.

Speaker 7 (16:17):
Even hear that. I I wasn't crying.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
There's no way I was crying.

Speaker 10 (16:21):
I was just there was there was a I had
some I had a different violence before, and I was
not crying.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
I was I was. I thought I had I thought
it was possible.

Speaker 9 (16:31):
I had a warrant out because I had I had
another ticket that I didn't pay, and I had some
stuff at the courts that I had to deal with.
And so when I got pulled over, I was.

Speaker 10 (16:39):
Freaked out because I thought that I might, you know, get.

Speaker 9 (16:42):
Arrested or something, and then she wouldn't have a ride.
And it was, you know, going to be an embarrassing thing.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
What is there a potential warrant out for you, one
that would require you being pulled out.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
Of the court Only it was it had nothing.

Speaker 10 (16:53):
It was just because I had missed a court date
and I had to call up the courts.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
And I had to make a payment.

Speaker 7 (16:57):
And I was supposed to come.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
In, So why did you? I mean, let's get some
more information.

Speaker 7 (17:02):
It was it was a different court.

Speaker 9 (17:04):
It was nothing.

Speaker 10 (17:04):
It was like another court. It was just another violation.
It was for a fix it ticket that I didn't fix.

Speaker 9 (17:09):
So I was just freaked out because I thought, oh
my gosh, I could go to.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Jail, which wasn't the case.

Speaker 9 (17:14):
And you know, my mom knew about it because you.

Speaker 10 (17:17):
Know, it doesn't even matter why but I called it
because mothers usually know what to say.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
So I just.

Speaker 9 (17:23):
Needed someone to talk to real quick.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
It wasn't a big deal.

Speaker 9 (17:26):
Most people don't care if somebody with their mother.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
I mean, I love a close relationship with mom. But
you know, you're a grown up and she's a grown up,
and she probably could have helped you in that moment.
I mean, I will say that there are people who
have gotten in you know, police chases, and they do
drive to their mom's house as their last stile.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
So it's not strange exactly. I've seen heard that before.

Speaker 7 (17:50):
Oh yeah, I was freaked out.

Speaker 10 (17:52):
I was freaked out for a second because I thought,
oh my gosh, I don't know if there's possibly a
warrant out and I just thought like getting in handcuffs
and stuff, and so I was just freaking out, but
I didn't. But it then when everything was fine and
I didn't have anything out there that it had.

Speaker 9 (18:10):
Nothing to do with, they couldn't arrest me for. It
was just the payment that I had to.

Speaker 2 (18:14):

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
