Speaker 1 (00:00):

Speaker 1 (00:26):
This is the Fred Show.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
It's the Fresh Show, Good Morning Win on three five
Kiss FM, Chicago's number one hit music station. We got
tickets to our one O three five Kiss FM jingle
Ball percentage by Capital one at seven to fifty five.
The show is Monday Night, and I don't mean like
we've been talking about it, I feel like for about
seven years, but it's.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Actually this Monday.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
When it say it's Monday, it's this upcoming Monday Night
with all the big stars, Seddi Swims and Nelly, Jesse, Murphraven,
The Nay Shined Down is our largest and Audrey Hobar, Jackson,
Wang Renee Rapp got the k Pop demon Hunters singing
long It's at all Stave tickets are still on sale
one O three five Kiss FM dot com slash jingle
Ball and we'll give you ticket to seven fifty five.
(01:04):
And on top of that, we got an artist experience
chasing threw that in this week, So that just seven
and fifty five. What else do I have to tell
you about? Oh, we have a merch store, you guys,
The merch store is back now. Lessons were learned. Yes,
the first time around, people believe it or not. And
I know, you know people say on social media and
on the radio, a lot of people have been asking.
(01:24):
People were asking, They were like, hey, where do I
get one of these one of thirteen one of the
thirteen shirts that we had made. And our budget is
very limited, so we I think we had about seven
of them made and we gave them all away. And
so what we were able to do, though, is put
an online merch store together. Jason and Camlin did this now.
The first round last year a bit of a snaffoo
(01:45):
with that. We didn't know what we were doing and
so you ordered stuff and I think it's just now
coming in, which is exciting. We just think we had
no idea what we were doing. You guys were trying
to do a nice thing for the show, and we
really appreciate all the people who bought stuff, but like,
we don't make money on this. We never made money
on this. It was really more of like, hey, people,
I guess wanted to wrap us, and we're so grateful
(02:05):
for that. So here's a way to do it this.
So I think we've improved the process here. I looked
at it last night. Merch looks good. There's no minimum
order quantity, and when you order something, they make it
right away. I think we learned from Kiki's T's. Honestly, yeah,
I think we learned from Kiki's T's. Like when I
ordered the Kiki's Tea, it came into my head that
I wanted one, and it arrived.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I got charged triple. But it's stilly to ride.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
So I don't know about the business model, but it's
I think it's gonna be a better experience. And the
best part of this is one dollar from every item
purchase will be donated to Lurid Children's Hospital, the radio
thought that we're doing next week to raise money for
all the kids who are able to take advantage of
the incredible medical care happening at Lurid Children's Hospital. So
one dollar from each thing you order on our merch store.
(02:51):
Fred Show Radio on Instagram, Fredshowradio dot Com. You can
go there. We got well you guys said, I like
the baseball tea.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I love the base that's my favorite thing.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
We got baseball team, we got hat, we got water
bottle where there was uh yeah, there's all kinds of
stuff on there. And so I one more time, I
apologize for last year's even I ordered. I ordered our
own stuff and I think I just got it, So
sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
But yeah, this will be better.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
And and just know that you know these prices are
We're not rolling, We're not going to santrope on this,
and and we are doing it to raise money for
Leary Children's Hospital. So Fred Show Radio on Instagram, Go
get your stuff, give it to to your friend, the
friend in your life who just can't get enough Fred's Show.
Surely there's someone in your life like that who would
(03:41):
who would love this as a holiday guest.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Hey, wake up.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
This might be the most controversial thing I've ever said.
Parmagan cheese is overrated. Parmasan cheese is overrated. Bread Show
is on Wednesday, December third, French Show's on. Good morning,
Hi Klin, Hello, Hi Paulina, Hey, Hi Kiki, Good morning
Shelby Shelley two fifty in the showdown a tiebreaker with
Vince Bella, Hamien's here on the phone. In the text
(04:10):
eight five five five three five, Jason on his way
to jingle Ball in La on assignment today, got the
cargo boots on. He's all in black, clipboard and headset
and he's ready on the plane. I mean, the dude
is like he's a method actor, you know, He's like
he's in the zone and he is ready. But he
will be back in time for the Chicago jingle Ball,
(04:30):
and then I think he goes to New York jingle Ball,
and then I think he goes to Toledo's jingle Ball. After that,
waiting by the phone, why didn't somebody get ghosted? New
And next we'll get to Kiki's blog because I need
an explanation. And the entertainer report this hour too, what
are you working on?
Speaker 4 (04:43):
K A very sweet moment when Jamie Lee Curtis asks
a Today Show anchor why he has a dot on
his ear And I want to tell you, guys, about
it all right, kik Ye.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I'm just gonna get right to the music, because, as
you may know, we have a document shared document everyone
writes idea. It's on for the show each day, and
we've now we're now up to two hundred and eighty
three pages and that's on one of them. So we
could do shows forever if we wanted to, and never
prepare one more day. And I know it sounds now
(05:14):
like we don't prepare, but trust me, we do. However,
this is what it says today for Kiki. One of
the things it says Kiki meaning she wrote it. I
started the Diddy documentary and I can't wait to be
in Fred's one day.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Oh take it away if you would. WHOA I really need.
I needed to hear a little more on this dear blog.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
So I was watching, you know, for research purposes, the
Diddy documentary last night and I started it. And when
I tell you, it's it's a slow burn, Okay, it
is if he sent really did his research, Like he's
telling us what car he rolled to school and what
you know, what he wore to school. I don't care
about any of that, but I'm want to get to
the juicy part of the story.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And so once it.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Gets juicy, they start bringing in all these different people
that have worked with Diddy over the years. And I
was like, you know what, one day there's gonna be
a Fread documentary and I can't wait till they invite
me in there to sit in that little.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Dark room and you know, the lights are.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Dim and they're like, so tell us about your time
with Bred, Like I can't.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Well, you take a deep breath before you start it,
says Kiki, like former Fred Show co hosts.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
Yeah, yeah, so I cannot wait because the time is
gonna come, and I hope you're ready.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
I think it's more likely it's gonna be in a
Kiki documentary then you're gonna be on a Fred documentary.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
But oh please, what would you say? What's the first
thing that comes to mind?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
If yeah, it's like you're right, there would be like
some sort of flowers in the background, or like a
bush or something that right, and like a like a
frosted lens, like an Oprah lens kind of thing.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
You know, always fix their earpiece first, and there's like
a producer off offs to set, you know what I'm saying,
Like looking out in the shadows that says, like, Okay,
tell us about the first time you met Fred, and like,
I'm just really prepared to sit down in a chair
and like tell my story. And I think I think
that I might tell it, like time my story. You
got a lot to say.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
I'd love to hear what that story is.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Yah, I'm gonna start off telling the truth and then
I'm gonna add a little bit of lie in there,
because that's not exciting if I don't spice it.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Up or just like be really like sorry, not condescending,
but be really like it was complicated, but that's.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Like what does that mean?
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Right?
Speaker 7 (07:23):
Right?
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Like you know, it was quite the journey, you know,
like I gotta talk.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
You know, I just have a.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Lot to add.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
And I would love to know everybody else will adding
about your documentary that we're planning.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
I'm executive producing.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yes, so yeah, I think it would be the most
boring documentary ever. It would be like that dude, that
dude just wanted to be on the radio. Then he
did it, and then he went home and went to sleep.
That's what That's what happened. Well, what would you say?
Speaker 5 (07:49):
Okay, so title of it, it's gonna be Unbreakable frequency
the Freid documentary.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
That's a good one, Unbreakable frequency.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yes, I.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Like it.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
And then you know we're gonna sit down and.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
What would you say? Okay, so tell me tell us
so you first met Fred.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Well, first I'm to talk about how you try to
soft launch our relationship.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
That y'all soft launched me on the show.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Remember that, Oh we said relationships.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
We had to work it because well, here is here
is the thing we learned the hard way. Uh, that
this is a tough this is a tough group to crack.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
So and that on us.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
Christopher had his documentary and depends It depends that you
ask because everything around everything around here is my fault
that doesn't go people's way right, And in your documentary
you don't get a voice. That's the one thing about it.
You don't get I think, I think I hate this idea.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Right.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Then he can't say because he's in prison, Well you.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Help me, you don't go to jail.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
But you know, I hope that too. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
One of the stories, the stories that I'm gonna come
up with legendary.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Okay, so you you would talk about how we saw
soft launch because we tried some you know, someone got promoted,
and then uh Angie got promoted and then got her
own show. And then we we'd say, okay, we're gonna
try and bring it someone else, and and we tried that,
and I don't think it was It wasn't a fit
for anyone. And again that's apparently in all my fault,
but that's fine. I wish everyone the best. And so
(09:31):
then it was okay, okay, so who can we bring in?
And I will say, you know, the core of this show,
it's it's it's a little rare, but the core of
the show has been together for seven eight years at minimum,
So I would say it would be a little intimidating
to come in from the outside.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
I will say that. And you got to do it.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
You would have to do it right and and that
you know that that was spoken about and advised and
didn't happen.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
But that's okay.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
So for this, and I lost a lot of credibility
in the room, and I think people hated me and
you all hated me, and I don't blame you. I
don't blame any of you. But so then it was okay,
well what do we do here? And then you kiky
we'd all known you for years because you'd worked in
other departments and uh, and it was like, well, you know,
she'd be really good, and so we we you were
(10:20):
going you you were hired, but we but we had
traumatized not only the show but all the listeners too much.
So we were like, oh, look it's Kicky in the hole,
come on in. Kiky was crazy, that's skit. Well I
think we were. We were just forgetting about that.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah, it was. It was just a tip at first,
you know.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Just bring her in. Yes, yes, So I'm gonna tell this.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
We were all traumatized. We were all we were all
triggered and traumatized. So we had to ease it in
and look what we Look what happened. It worked perfectly.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yes, it is so far. So I can't wait to
tell this story.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
And a lot of people on the text reminded me
about how you called me when I first started the show,
and I was I.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
Was busy, but I answered, so I got to put
that in there. Oh I want that in a teaser.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Right, It's funny.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I didn't even see I didn't obviously know that at
the time, but I don't remember why I called you.
I don't remember how it came up, but I call.
Apparently I called you one day and you answered, but
you were you were getting hit at the time.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
I was, I was wrestling, right, yeah it was.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
It was grown up time, and apparently mid mid grown
up time, you still answered the phone and talked to me, which,
by the way.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
Hey I needed this job, man, you don't.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
You don't have to do that.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
You can call me afterwards requirement right, It's fine, okay,
all right, I don't know. I mean, Caitlyn, would you?
I don't like this idea, I still think because you documentary, No,
I'm not. I'm obviously I'm not. I don't have that
many secrets, honestly, so I feel like nobody would be
surprised by a lot of what believe it or not,
(11:59):
I don't. I don't think I have a lot of secrets.
But would you?
Speaker 4 (12:03):
I mean, our relationship started in a bar and we
were hammered and Jason was there, so that that'll be
a good story to go along.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
You know, something to it, like who was he at
the bar with?
Speaker 7 (12:14):
You?
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Got to make it up? Yeah, you got to Jason
Brown make up.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
A woman and Jonathan Shapiro and all the three of
them doing there after, Right, I can make it seem
like something.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Else was going on, kind of decius. Yeah, I mean, I.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
Never let the truth get in away of a good story.
I'm a Leo, so every time I tell a story,
it's a little judge dop So I got.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
You good documentary.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah, I'm infested.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Okay, let's do it. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
And the stories your mom would tell Fred, the one
about your passing out at the pediatrician that has to.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Go, that's a true story. That's actually, that's one of
the only stories she tells. It's true.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
My favorite story.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
You were so scared to get a shot.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
And then the story with diabetes was.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Like, diabetes, that's a true story. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
No, I love my mom so much, but I don't
I no longer know, and and and there's no arm
being done, but I no longer know what she's saying
it's true, I don't know. And she's like, you can'lem
at times one hundred because I think she she just
you can't let the truth get in the way of
a good story.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Well, I'm gonna probe.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
I'm gonna be like, well, I know he never mowed
the lawn. That's how you.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Got trigger trigger Paulina. I guess you could tell the
story about how I met you when you came in
and in your interview with it with a notebook foot
and it was more of an encyclopedia, and told us
how much our show sucked and how you were going
to make it better. That's exactly what happened.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
I certainly did, yes, And then I will jug it
up even more and I'll say that you know, I
came in, had a cigarette in my mouth.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
She had she had.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
One of those cigarette holders, you know, I didn't even
know you still get those crap.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
And she said, we're not gonna have any problems, aren't
We said, no, ma'am.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
That's how I got here.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Yeah, And then then we had no choice but to
hire you because well, because there was a shotgun.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
To my head.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
I love this dock, you see, I mean, come out
Emmy Award winning, Okay, I I think so yeah, you know, Grammy, Oscar, Tony,
all of them, I think.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
And there's a little bit of truth to all of that,
and the Paulina story is a little bit of truth
to that story. But I have to say I respect
the hell out of it because well, I remember it was.
It's not nearly as dramatic as what I described, But
I think what you were doing was you were you
were telling us how you could add value, which is
what you should should have done. And you had listened
and paid attention to what we were doing, which is
(14:28):
also what you should have done. I just remember sitting
back and being like, who is this person? And you
had a job the next day, so and so you
did it exactly what you were supposed to do. But
my version of the story is way better.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Yeah for the documentary.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah, okay, well maybe we should make this documentary anyway
and put on the highlight section of the iHeart Radio.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Never been left Waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Hey, Danielle, come, welcome to you waiting by the phone
on the Fread Show.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Thanks for helping me.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
So what's going on with this guy Dakota?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I see that you met on the dating apps, But
then I want to hear about, you know, kind of
any kind of courtship or whatever, and then any dates
you've been on, and then why do you think you're
being ghosted?
Speaker 6 (15:16):
Yeah? So okay, there's this guy named Dakota and we
met on like these like on a dating app. But
either way, we match and we were talking for like
about like a good week and just like thirting back
and forth, and then he's like, Okay, do you do
you want to go and get drinks? I was like,
of course, yes, okay. So I was like super excited
(15:36):
to meet him and super excited like when I was there,
because like he was just great and like the sparks
who were there, we connected. It was like awesome, most
perfect and actually, like a lot of the guys I
end up dating, like they're kind of they're kind of weird.
I mean, like just twenty twenty five, I feel like
that's how it is now, but Dakota was actually normal.
(15:59):
So I really liked that. Either way, I am calling
you guys, because first he didn't reach out after a
day or say anything to me, and then now my
text like that I sent, like I wasn't going to
be the first one, but I had to just because
I mean a few days went by, so I was like,
uh so when I had him, texted him and it's
(16:19):
just showing up as like like not delivered, and it
wasn't like that before. So I kind of actually just
I'm gonna like, I'm annoyed that I think it's a text,
but now I'm kind of just concerned that is he
actually safe?
Speaker 7 (16:33):
Is everything? Okay?
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, I mean that's puzzling.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
It's puzzling to go from what you thought was a
good day with a guy who's not weird to be
essentially blocked. Because it looks like it looks like you've
been blocked. I mean, that's usually what happens when it
or I don't know, or the guy changed his phone number.
I guess there's some other possibilities too, but usually when
you used to get delivered and now you don't get
delivered on the phone, you got blocked.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
Well, we never know, so I may we can figure
it out, you know.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
I like the positivity. I like that, and that is
what we're here to do here. I am like letting
you marinate it. Yeah, you got blocked? All right, Well,
thanks for calling. I'm a good date. No, we are
going to call this guy Dakota. In just a second.
You'll be on the phone hopefully we didn't get blocked,
and we'll ask some questions on your behalf. You'll be
on the phone, of course, and you're welcome to jump
in at any point. But the hope is that we
(17:23):
can figure out what's up, straighten things out, and then
set you guys up on another date and pay for that.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
All right, Yeah, I love that. Thank you, Danielle.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
Yeah, I'm here.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, okay, let's call this guy Dakota. You met out
one of the dating apps. And I think, like a
lot of people, they can be frustrating, and you've met
some kind of weirdos and stuff that didn't really mesh.
But this guy Dakota, you liked him, You like chatting
with him, You thought the date went well, except you
haven't heard from him since the date. And then you
decided to reach out and your messages went from being
(17:53):
delivered on you know, it used to say delivered on
your phone, so now it doesn't say that anymore, and
you're like, well, wait a minute, how do we have
a great date? And now it looks like maybe either
this guy's blocked me or change his number or something
weird like that, like what's going on?
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (18:07):
And the whole time before we were talking for like
a good like a good solid week, like all the
time back and forth, and my text message didn't show
like that. And I mean maybe I am blocked, but
like I mean, it went really good to me, so
I kind of like doubt that it is actually all right.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Well, let's call him now. Good luck, Danielle. Is this Dakota, Yeah, Hidekota,
good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling for the
Fred's Show, the morning radio show, and I'm sorry to
bother you, but I do have to tell you that
we are on the radio right now and I would
(18:44):
need your permission to continue with the call.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Can we chat for just a second. You can hang
up anytime or block us?
Speaker 8 (18:50):
Yeah, yeah, okay, sure, Well.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
I know it's strange you get a call like this
and kind of abrupt, but we're calling on behalf of
a woman named Danielle, who says if she met you
on one of the dating apps, and you guys chatted
for a while a week or so, I guess, and
then went on a date recently.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Do you remember meeting her?
Speaker 8 (19:06):
I hope, uh yeah, no, Yeah, I remember Danielle.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Okay, so we talked to her just a minute ago,
and she had nice things to say about you. She
was excited to meet you. I said that she thought
the date went really well. Did not hear from you
since the date, says she's reached out to try and
get a hold of you to maybe see about seeing
you again, thinks that maybe her messages aren't being delivered,
and I'm just curious what you're inside of the story
(19:31):
is because she'd liked to go out.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
With you again.
Speaker 9 (19:34):
I mean, yeah, we chatted for a while before we met,
and she seemed really cool. So I asked her out
and we went out and on our date.
Speaker 6 (19:43):
And.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
You know, pretty early on, she was like, oh, you know,
I have to admit I found your Instagram. I saw
that one of your latest photos had like a girl
in it, so you know, I was a little worried
you had a girlfriend or something, which which okay, like sure.
Speaker 8 (20:04):
You know, I mean, I guess, but like it's actually.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
A picture of my my best friend, whose name is Kylie.
And I told her that right away, like you know,
and and uh and Kylie. Kylie and I we've been
friends forever. She's she's like a she's like a little
sister to make you know, like a little later on,
I was telling her a story not too long after that,
and Kylie was in it. She was, you know, she
and I were were off doing something immediately as soon
(20:30):
as I make Kylie's name, Uh, Danielle's like like leaned in,
like like life or Death leaned in and she's like, oh, wow,
you guys are together a lot. Huh and uh, you know,
it struck It struck me kind of weird, you know,
because I just told her we were best friends and
then we went way back and and there was something
kind of I don't know, like like.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
She person like she was.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
She had a lot of questions about the relationship because
this person seems to be, you know, central in your life,
and she was an Instagram post and then and then
she comes up in a story, So so what that
turns you off? That that that she seems skeptical about
this woman.
Speaker 9 (21:10):
I mean, if if she had left it there, I
probably not Like, you know, I get it. It's it's
not super common, I guess for guys to have best
friends that are girls. But like all night, all night,
she would like bring Kylie up and be like, are
you sure you never dated? You never even thought about
sleeping together or hooking up?
Speaker 1 (21:28):
You don't think she's secretly in love with you?
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Do you?
Speaker 6 (21:31):
Like?
Speaker 8 (21:31):
All night?
Speaker 10 (21:32):
That's yeah, And like yeah, I mean, and you know
it just it's just like major red flag energy, you know,
like I don't have time for someone to be jealous
of someone who's important.
Speaker 9 (21:44):
To me, and and like I'm not gonna cut my
best friend out of my life, right, I have a
cause I'm dating someone that's insecure.
Speaker 8 (21:51):
And I was just like, I don't know, and there's
no one's.
Speaker 9 (21:54):
Even been dating for long. It was our first date.
She was she was leading with all that.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
I can see what I be a turn off because
I mean, if you, I suppose, if you wanted to
be with your best friend, then you wouldn't be on
the dating apps meeting other people. But let me I'd
like to hear Danielle's side of this. And I forgot
to mention that Danielle is here. I'm very forgetful, Uh
get caught up in the story. Sorry, h Danielle, So
you didn't tell us that you were sort of obsessing
over this friend of his? Like, can you see how
(22:21):
you bringing it up over and over again might might
make you look insecure if you're if in fact you're
not well.
Speaker 7 (22:26):
First, I'd like to say, Hi, Dakota Samielia, and I'm
actually surprised that you're even on the line because I
thought something actually happened to your phone or that like
you like weren't okay, And first of all, shocks that
you think it's okay to go someone.
Speaker 8 (22:42):
Like I don't under that's so rude. And also like.
Speaker 7 (22:45):
If you're single, I mean I did Sony Anderson write
there were so many pictures of a girl on your Instagram.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
So like why can't you have a female friend?
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Like what do we know? Maybe she's a lesbian, Like
I don't know. I mean, like we don't know anything
about this person. I mean imagine if you imagine if
he went out with you and and he had done
this perusal he you know, went looked at all your
stuff ahead of time, all your socials, and then he
was asking you tons of questions about these other men.
It's like, I don't know, it's not necessarily putting your
(23:17):
best foot forward, is it? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:19):
Only one, Like everyone looks like everyone's socials all the time.
I'm not like the only girl to like to do
that or guy probably should do that. But like if
a girl is your best friend, like that's not even
a thing. That's like that's not legit at all, Like
someone likes someone and if your guy, a guy should
be your best friend, not a girl.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
What okay, hang on, I'm sorry.
Speaker 9 (23:39):
I like, first of all, that's crazy. People can't be
best friends with anyone, guys with guys.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
It doesn't ever ever work out because someone either likes someone,
and like, yeah, that's a lot of us.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
You're jumping to a lot of conclusions. I mean, I
know it's not as common maybe as as men having
men best friends or women having women best friends. But again,
I mean to immediately say, all you're projecting all these things.
You're saying all these things, and we don't know if
any of that's true. We haven't even heard about this woman.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
No, no, no, hang on, hang on, hang on. You got it.
Speaker 9 (24:14):
Most conversations.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
But you know what's bad a conversations.
Speaker 9 (24:17):
Danielle, Guys guys are terrible conversationalists.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
What.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
No, he's saying that women are more they're they're more
enjoyable to talk to you or more receptively better. What
he saying is like, yeah, so he enjoys talking to her.
Speaker 6 (24:32):
So that's like a judgment. That's like a fake judgment
or you know that pain you.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Tell him, Danielle, he's a lot of having an opinion.
He's a locked female men, Why why is he on
a date with you? If this woman's a threat, I
guess would be the first question I would ask.
Speaker 11 (24:48):
Yeah, she secretly likes him, Like, oh my god, we
don't know that either one of them is being someone's
being friend zoned.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
That's what's going on, right, because they're friends, well.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
One of them.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Second, so you subscribe to the idea that men and
women cannot be friends.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
I just want to be clear about this.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
I mean, it's what you're saying over and over, but
I just want you to Danielle, a man and a
woman cannot be platonic friends.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
There. There must be an angle, is what you're saying.
Speaker 6 (25:24):
There's so many scientific things that prove that they just can't.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yeah, okay, but did you ever I mean, I know
you've asked, you asked a lot of questions about her,
but like he answered the question, like he said to you,
I'm not interested in her in that way, she's not
interested in me.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
I mean, we can't leave it there.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
Well, he probably doesn't know that. I'm sure. I'm sure
either he likes her secretly or has something towards her.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
Or she likes U.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Let me ask you this, daniel here's a question. If
if you feel this way, then why are and this
all happened on the date.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Why are we even doing this?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I mean, if you're so convinced that they're in a
romantic relationship, then why are we trying to fix it.
He's not going to not be her friend to go
out with you, So I guess, as far as you're concerned,
there's something going on.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
So why are we trying to set you up on
another date?
Speaker 6 (26:12):
Well, because I didn't know that he would actually ghost
me and maybe we can like move past this and
that like he would be like okay, like just him
and I would get together and like the best friend
would just not be there anymore.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Oh girl, Okay, so he cannot be best friends with
her if he wants to do this is come off?
Speaker 8 (26:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:32):
I mean if if I had a guy that was
my best friend and like my boyfriend didn't like it,
I'd like, okay, fine, and then I would lean him
off of my life.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
That's how rare about it.
Speaker 6 (26:41):
Forever with someone?
Speaker 7 (26:42):
Yeah, Like, what do you mean.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Forever you went on one date? Danielle, This is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Problems with no relationship with no man.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Girl, Danielle, I'm sorry you've jumped to so many concludion
You have so many theories. You went on one day
with this guy, you handled him the whole time about it,
and now, by your own admission, you would like to
go out with him again, but only if he ditches
his best friend, his female best friend, like that's you,
(27:15):
don't y?
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, and justice for Kylie.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
We know you're being honest and I think I think
that unfortunately, you might be a nice person, but it
shows a lot of insecurity and it's asking a lot
for someone to say on a first date final, I'll
just abandon this person in my life because you don't
like it. You've never even met her.
Speaker 7 (27:38):
First dates lead to something which is like us forever
in a whole life with someone.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Not this one. Yeah, not in this case. All right.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Look, I feel like I've given you the opportunity to
clarify any confusion that we might have, but there's none.
So I will ask the question, Dakota, would you like
to go out with her again? The terms would be
that you'd have to be with her forever and you
would have to get rid of your female best friend completely.
You'd have to basically kill her, So what's.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
A sound good?
Speaker 9 (28:11):
I guess I never thought about it in those terms.
It does seem like it could be if no, of
course not of course no second date.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yeah, I look, Daniel, I don't know what was been
going on with you or like, I don't know, yeah,
right right, And I'm sorry about it, but I think
you have a lot a lot of feelings about I
don't know if maybe you've encountered something like this with
a male female dynamic that that scored you or something,
But I don't know that. I think it's fair to
(28:38):
say all these things. And I also think that this
guy just obviously isn't for you, Like the guy that
you're looking for is going to apparently have never met
a woman before ever, yeah.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
Or not, or to have a guy as a best
friend like normal.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Okay, well that's normal to you, I guess. Guys. Yeah, Dakota,
thank you for your time, Daniel. I truly wish you
the best. Not going to work out this stuff. Calon's
Enter Report. He's on the Fred Show. Paulina, do you
have the little clippiana I need?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I was distracting you with questions if.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
You give me a minute.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
I will, I will do the story last for you, okay.
So Chapelroone, Mariah Carey, post Malone and Charlie Pooth are
among thirty eight performers for this year's Dick Clark's New
Year's Rock and Eve with Ryan Seacrest. So this year's
show will run for eight hours on of course, December
thirty first, from seven or eight pm, depending on where
(29:30):
you are, to three or four am in the morning
on ABC. That's ninety minutes longer than last year, and
we'll feature more than eighty five songs being performed. Ryan
Seacrest and Rita Aura are hosting from New York, but
Chance the Rapper will actually lead the show's first ever
Central time Zone countdown from Chicago, and then Gronk and
Juliane Hoff of All People will co host from Vegas,
(29:54):
and the Times Square headliner, as well as details for
a Puerto Rico celebration, will be announced.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Doesn't get an email, by the way.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Oh someone got an email?
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Yeah, I heard an email. I didn't even hear it,
didn't Oh you didn't hear that. I'm the only one.
I just heard like a gigantic ding checking email.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah. Maybe it was you.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
I'm like, oh no, he's hearing stuff and this is
this is I guess is just.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
In my ears though, because I was like, oh wow,
we're doing that. It was like Dan, I'm like, well,
the entire world just knows that Paulina is a calendar
invited something, which is by the way, that's what the
first time that's happened.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
So and really quick.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Jamie Lee Curtis flipped the script on Craig Melvin during
an appearance on the Today's Show yesterday. So she was
on the morning show actually to talk about her new
movie Ella McKay, and she started her interview though by
flipping the script and asking Craig a question.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
What's the blue dot in your ear?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Call me the story?
Speaker 12 (30:49):
So it's it's my daughter years ago she went to
get her ears pierced. Then she got cold feet, and
in a moment of haste, I was like, if I
do it, will you do it? She's like, come on,
I got it, so and yeah, that's why I have it.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
It's not because I grageous. Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
It's a beautiful thing. You did that, and I love
that you keep it. It's so sweet.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
So I thought that was adorable story of why he
has a little earring in his ear, and he kept
trying to turn the interview back to her, and she
kept turning it back on him, and just he's like,
I'm blushing. So I thought that was sweet, a little
girl dad moment. If you want to catch up on

Speaker 2 (31:36):
I'm going through all these these texts about the waiting
by the phone, and most people, I think, agree that
this woman is nuts and that you can in fact
have a platonic male female female male friendship. However, someone said,
Danielle's absolutely right, sameything happened to me. After six years,
they finally got together and we broke up. And then
(31:57):
someone else made a good point. I think maybe we
mentioned it, but like the text was, that scenario definitely
happened to her, and now she's taking.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Out on everyone else. I think that's what happened.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
I think that she's triggered by either she's a narcissist
or an egomaniac or something or wildly insecure, or more
than likely this happened where she was seeing somebody who
wound up with someone who was supposed to be a friend.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Yeah, it could happen. Or she's in love with her
male best friend.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
You know.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
I mean most relationship issues are you're bringing baggage from
another place into it. So that's why we all need
to heal ourselves so we're not putting it on other people.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Yes, Lord, I got enough baggage for everybody, so or
I might explain a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
It does explain a lot of things.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Shelby Shelley is up next, a little bit late, but
a tiebreaker with Vince for two hundred and fifty bucks.
Games Show Wednesday will definitely gonna beat Paulina and Kiki Karaoke,
all that more.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Fred's show next right here,
