Speaker 1 (00:01):
Honestly, this is what the Catholic church. As a Catholic,
I can say what we need is a rebrand, and.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
You would be the guy to do it.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Imagine the pink smoke that would come out when I
get like, yeah, Fred's show is on.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
I don't think it should have been you, Jason. It
should be if it was going to be an American pope,
it should have been you.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, Leo or me. They talked to you.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I know they talked to you about it, but you
couldn't come to terms, which is really busy. Yeah, you know,
I don't even really know where Rome is, Like I
have to figure out out. That would be helpful to
know where it is. Probably Europe somewhere.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, probably Europe? Am I right?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
But Hi everyone, Tuesday, June seventeenth, It's the Friend Show. Hi, Kalem,
Hi Jason just kiving Europe? Hi, Paulina. Where's what's ozured
by John y?
Speaker 5 (00:49):
Though?
Speaker 6 (00:50):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:50):
John? I know John yea last night.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Kiki save me bellahead means here Emma from the sales
departments here? What do they? What are they? What is
this about?
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:02):
They got salespeople coming in and sitting here and watching
this this, this train wreck of a radio show. It's
an absolute abomination. Why why what do they think is
going to happen? Like you're gonna see it? We talk
into microphones since they hide us in these boxes, Is
that what it is?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Pretty much?
Speaker 7 (01:16):
Pretty much? They just want us to watch all the
magic behind the scene magic.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, so exciting.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, it's better if you don't see how the sausage
is made. I think it's Are you impressed so far?
I'm impressed, very impressive. That sounded authentic. No, they got
salespeople coming in here, you know who are like they
sell the commercials. They got them coming in here to
watch us do this. But truly, because if you otherwise,
(01:42):
this is like an H and R block, Like you
wouldn't know that we're not like a finance company or something.
If you watched in this office, like there's no there's
no microphone, there's no there's no window to anything. Lock
us in a room with a lock on the outside
of the door, and they let us out when the
show is over, Like, you would never know what we
did here. She could sell anything magazines for all I know.
(02:06):
Have you sold anything else besides radio commercials?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Not? Really, No, okay, all right.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
So a lot of experience required. I got here, Emma
from sales, the newest member of the show. Do you
are there any accounts that you're working on right now
that like, are maybe not responding to you as well
as you'd like that.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Maybe we can just call them out right now? Would
that be helpful too?
Speaker 7 (02:33):
You know, I just touched down here in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Any one that's on my well, you let us know.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
You let us know if anyone's giving you a hard time,
because Kaylin knows just how to get their attention. No,
we'll we'll get people to call you back. It won't
they won't always be happy when they call. But when
they call, at least you've got them on the phone.
You can say, well, well I have you you know,
so there, Okay. As a salesperson, what is your response
to an objection? So like, if someone says to you, Emma,
(02:59):
I'm not an interest, Like, how do you say, like,
how do you get them to not to be interested
in something? Because I watched these videos on you on TikTok.
They are these guys who specialize in like sales, and
they'll tell you the script to how to get people
who told you, they don't want to do what you're saying.
It's like, how if I if you call me at
Fred's car dealership and and I said I don't want it,
(03:21):
then what do you say?
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Then?
Speaker 7 (03:22):
I like to hit them with some questions, you know,
make them talk their way out of it, put the
take the pressure off me, and then we'll get to
the root of it.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Really not want it?
Speaker 7 (03:31):
Or are you just really annoyed with me calling you?
Which is fair and I think sometimes I just hate
to pick up the phone.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I would listen to this. I would have if you
were like, like, I know you're annoyed with me. I'm
just like that, Yeah, that's the kind of approach. I'm like,
all right, that's non threat. Thanks, I'll listen to you.
Speaker 8 (03:47):
I love a question.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
But there are all.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
These guys that do Like have you seen the guy
who's like super buff and bold who does the car
dealership sales training?
Speaker 8 (03:55):
We have different algorithms.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah, I don't see that.
Speaker 7 (03:57):
Maybe I should, I don't.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I don't know. I forgot guy's name is.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
But it's like he's like really like masculine and aggressive
and he has like he trains he goes to car dealerships,
and he trains salesmen on how to deal with like
an answer to every question, but like it's a script.
And it's if someone laid the script on me in
a car dealership, I would know exactly what they were doing.
I would start to get annoyed. But you're like, hey,
I'm going to get out of it. I'm gonna think
(04:21):
about it. Well, why do you need to think about it?
Do you have all the information that you need to?
You know, I've given you all the information. What would
be your objection? Or he has a response to when
they say I got to go home and ask my wife,
and what if she says no? Like you, it's like
a challenge, like he almost he almost like emasculates you.
You're like, wait a minute, No, I don't need I
(04:42):
don't need permission. I don't need permission. I'll buy this
car right now. Watch me and I'll send you that.
Maybe you can learn something. Well.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Welcome.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
You've ever been left from waiting by the phone.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
It's the Fred Show, Melanie, Good morning, welcome to you
The Fred Show. Hi guys, so tell us about this
guy Chris uh, we wont all the background? How you
met about any dates that you've been on and why
do you think you're being ghosted?
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Just to fill us in.
Speaker 9 (05:12):
Sure, So I met Chris on Mumble and he picked
me up for drinks. We went on one date and yeah,
I thinks for doing well. It was you know, really
fun and I think we clicked. So we were ticking
actual drinker on my place and so I'm sorry, I'm
(05:34):
kind of nervous. He wanted to we were on my
place and so I asked, you know, he wanted to
come out to one of my place and hang out
for a little bit. Everything was totally PG and like
we just kissed and you know, it was fun, but
that was it, and uh, yeah, I just I want
to see him again. Everything went well, but I just
(05:55):
don't know why he hasn't called.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Okay, Well, that all sounds pretty promising, I mean, and
you know, when you meet on these apps, you don't
really know if there's chemistry until you see the person
in person. And so that part went well. The drinks
went well, you had a good time, good enough to
go back to your house and you know, hook up
a little bit or I guess kiss and not really
hook up. But nonetheless that's all good. And you were
(06:17):
hoping to hear from him again. You were excited.
Speaker 9 (06:19):
Yeah, it's really excited. Yeah, I mean all we did
was kiss. It was like, you know, really really peag
and then we got along and I mean more than that,
like I think we could. So yeah, I was just
wondering what happened?
Speaker 2 (06:31):
So what happened to this guy? So let's call Chris.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
We'll see if we can get him on the phone
and ask some questions for you and hopefully whatever's going on,
we can straighten it out set you guys up on
another day.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, all right, welcome back. Let's call Chris.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
You guys met on the dating app Bumble, went out
for drinks, a little kissing after the date back at
your place. But you want to know where this guy
went because he's not reaching out for another day. You
fully expected that and you want to know why.
Speaker 9 (06:54):
That's right?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
All right, let's call him right now? Good luck? Hello?
Speaker 10 (07:04):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Is this Chris? Yeah, Chris, good morning, Fred from the
Fred Show. The whole crew is here and I'm sorry
to bother, but I do have to tell you that
we are on the air right now and I would
need your consent to continue with the call. Can we
chat for a couple of minutes on the show.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I'm a little worried, but yeah, sure I might be too.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
No, well maybe not, but let's talk about It's the
thing we do called waiting by the phone. There's a
woman named Melanie who you met on Bumble and you
guys went out for drinks. Yeah, okay, right, So she
called us and told us that she had a great
time with you at drinks and that you guys kissed
a little bit and she was excited about the potential
hope to hear from you again, and so that she hasn't.
(07:46):
So can you kind of fill us in as to
why you haven't reached out.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
A big less?
Speaker 9 (07:55):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Man? No, yeah, we had a really fun day.
Speaker 10 (07:58):
No, yeah, so yeah, we had a really fun.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
And normal day like normally go away.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
Like like everything was cool, fine, and we'd made out
and that was fun and stuff.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
But then and so we get to her place and
she puts on some music and like.
Speaker 10 (08:15):
Some candles just at the vibe that yeah, right, and
like they were this is like it's like kind of
like silly, but they were like good candles, you know,
Like when I smelled it, I was like, oh that's
like a that's like a.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Night like that was good as opposed to like those
like the ones that spell like Turkey Dinners or whatever.
Got the music guy like this is she's set in
the mood. I don't see what where's the problem.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
So then so then she she hooked her phone up
to her smart TV. I think I think it was
to play the music, and a photo slide show came out.
It was something to have TV on the background. I
don't know why she did it, but the photos started
coming up on the TV. Then she went to grab
drinks and I was just chilling out and looking at
the photos of her family, your friends from the place
(09:01):
that she traveled.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
All cool, and then like all of a sudden, like right.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
In a row, it was one, two and then three back.
Speaker 9 (09:10):
To back to bad.
Speaker 10 (09:11):
They were all like completely different.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
They were like it was a good like I was like,
go get it, like go get your do this.
Speaker 8 (09:18):
Sometimes now I have a fear.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
You save them on the same camera roll as everything else.
Speaker 8 (09:22):
I don't really save them.
Speaker 11 (09:23):
I said the vibe with like, you know, a nice
little slideshow and now I'm.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Scared a slide a power point show. It den to
people like what I've had this happened before. I've had
this where like my buddies will pull out their phone
to show me a picture and then it's like a
picture of something else. Let me bring Melanie into this.
I forgot to mention that Melanie is here. I always
leave that part out. Oh what you trying to find
a safer place for those man they got to go.
(09:47):
They can't go with the mom and dad trip to
Ireland or whatever. You know what I mean, You got
to put them somewhere else.
Speaker 9 (09:52):
Yeah, okay, that's a song their.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Mel with the.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Okay, well you're but here's my thing. Why why do
you care, Chris? Like why wouldn't she go on another
day with her? I mean so yeah, so she's been
with other guys. She's either I don't know, receiving or
saving or finding procuring other d picts.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
So she's got so I know it's.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Stupid, but like like there those those burned into my brain,
like kissing her or like if we were gonna like
like go all the way, like like like I'd just
be thinking of like those three you.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Know what, Maybe she's adoptor and those were privileged and
they should probably should have been there.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Nonetheless, maybe she's a medical student. She's studying urology. It
was yeah, well good for them.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
One of them was like like basically full screen, like
it was just right in my face.
Speaker 9 (10:44):
It wasn't as.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Big, but like the lighting was really good. It was
like the first thing, yeah literally, and the second one
was like here's like like art like it was like
it like it should be in a museum. Yeah, dude,
I'm not insecure, like listen, like get it like.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
You So look, Chris, you can understand why she might
save these. I mean, I can love them. You seem
enamored with these. I mean I can see why why
are you.
Speaker 6 (11:11):
Holding I just I just it's like so in my head,
like I can't.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
I can tell you study these too.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
They were on screen for a while.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, like that's a nice TV. So it was like
bom in your head.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Hey, it could be worse. It could be action. It
could be action shots. I mean it could be so
much worse to yeah, oh boy, even though you really
studied these, and I'm not interested in seeing her again
because you're not going to be able to get over.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
I just can't get over.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
I know it's stupid and like dumb, but I just yeah,
they're they're burning to my red nose and ain't gonna
go well for.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
There, Melanie.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
They make apps and stuff where you can hide these pictures,
like conceal them other places so that they don't pop
up in the family travel.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Plus. I mean this time it was him, but.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Imagine if it really was like your parents or family
or somebody coming over and you pull up the old.
Speaker 9 (12:06):
Really old. I feel like, yeah, I think they're really old,
and like whatever they just popped up. I don't know,
you know, I mean the technology and the.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Albums and everything technology. I guess they're all.
Speaker 9 (12:22):
Together with my regular pictures, don't I just shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Get that all right, Well, hey it's not going to
I guess it's not going to work out, Chris. I'm surprised, Chris.
You don't want to see her again so you can
get an out of Look at the shots.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
All those guys look.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Not bad, Melanie. Passive luck to you, thank you both
for your time.
Speaker 9 (12:40):
Of course, I'm a.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Going melody, but the luck it seems like you're doing great.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Caitlin's Entertainment reports on The Fred Showmantha Perry's doctor Salvador
Placentia has plaied guilty to four counts of distributing ketamine
to the Friends star, who died of an overdose in
October of twenty twenty three.
Speaker 11 (12:58):
Salvador acknowledges in the plea agreement that he repeatedly provided
ketamine without a legitimate medical purpose in the week's leading
up to Matthew's death. Matthew, of course, was found dead
in his hot tub at his home in the Pacific
Palisades at just fifty four years old, and Salvador faces
a maximum sentence of forty years in prison if found guilty.
Speaker 8 (13:19):
Moving on to Jeff Bezos.
Speaker 11 (13:21):
The Amazon founder If You Did Not Know, If You
somehow live under a Rock and his upcoming wedding to
Lauren Sanchez in Venice, Italy, where Venetians gathered to protest
the couple's upcoming festivities over fears of disruptions in the
city that's already impacted by mass tourism.
Speaker 8 (13:38):
So one sign read no space for Bezos.
Speaker 11 (13:41):
And even though most of the details surrounding the wedding
are unknown, one citizen said, we have our moles as
for figuring out if they're having it, they're One protester
who helped organize it, said he may be getting married
at a certain venue there, and he says, bezos will
never get to that venue. We will line the streets
with our bodies, the canals with life savers, dinghy's and
(14:02):
our boats. So they really don't want girl. Venice is
home to which where's you know where Venice is? A?
Speaker 6 (14:10):
Right?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yeah, it's giving Italy Okay, yeah, I.
Speaker 11 (14:14):
Think I might have even said, oh, okay, okay, yes,
Italy is he gave that is that one where those
guys like drive the boats like paddle and you like
sit and.
Speaker 8 (14:24):
Go on to the car and they sang, yeah, okay.
One in Vegas too.
Speaker 11 (14:28):
But the actual Venice is home to about fifty thousand
people and they get like twenty million visitors yearly, mostly
day trippers from cruise ships or other cities. So far,
about thirty of the two hundred and eighty water taxis
have been reserved for the wedding, and only three or
four hotels will be used for the event, So they
really don't want it. I good luck getting married there.
(14:50):
I'm sure he has his ways, but they said no, no,
thank you. And Laslie brad Pitt looks smoking hot with
his girlfriend Naz at the F one movie premiere in
New York. They look really cute. They were laughing, laughing, giggling.
They seem really happy. Brad plays a fictional F one
racer Sonny Hayes in the movie, but he ditched his
(15:10):
racing suit for a navy blue suit and white button shirt.
Speaker 8 (15:13):
And she she looked really hot. So she had this
like white sea through thing on.
Speaker 11 (15:18):
And there were real F one stars there by the way,
and they're hot girlfriends as well. And they also got
a private screening last month. Jason saw the movie.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah, last night. It's really good. I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
I was thoroughly entertained. I had chills at one point.
Brad Pitt is shirtless a lot. He's in the shower,
and he's a love story eighty four years old. I mean,
he looks really but that's my type.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Yeah, there's a love story. There's fast cars.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
So you didn't know the reference, but this is Days
of Thunder twenty twenty five. Is what this movie sounds
like to me.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Okay, yeah, that sounds right to Me's a totally.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Is reprising the role of Cold Trickle from Whenever that
was nineteenth Sometimes his.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Name is Sonny Hayes in the movie, so it's good
think yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Okay, well I wonder the least likely f one driver
name like Donielle Ricardo. All these guys are like, you
know what I mean, Norris, it's that not Sonny.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
It's the American. Yeah, Steve. But it looks really.
Speaker 11 (16:20):
Hot in the movie and it's a fire soundtrack, so
don't see it if you want to see hot.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
Brad Pitton here good music.
Speaker 11 (16:26):
By the way, we have been live on YouTube Fred

Speaker 1 (17:00):
So the inventor of the frisbee became a frisbee after
he died. What Yeah, that's true. So Walter Morrison is
the guy's name. He died and was cremated in twenty ten,
his family turned him into the very toy he invented
in nineteen fifty five. It's known as the Pluto platter
(17:22):
before WAMMO named it to the frisbee. But yeah, they
turned him into a frisbee. That's like the dude who
invented Pringles is buried in a Pringles can.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
That he should be.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Yeah, that's okay, but the frisbee do becoming a frisbee?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
That's not okay.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
Well, people throwing you around in the afterlife, right well, I.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Doubt it's being confused. It's like dogcatches right right there,
tossing it to Fido or.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
