The Fred Show. Good morning, don welcome, How are you?

Speaker 6 (01:07):
Good morning?

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Let's start from the top here on waiting by the phone,
I know in your email it says here you met
this dude a Jason on a Hinge. Then tell us
what happened from there.

Speaker 7 (01:18):
Yeah, so we met on Hinge and you know, like
we were really clicking, and so we exchanged numbers and
we went on on a date and I mean, I
think everything went really well and I really liked him,
and you know, we talked about seeing each other again
and then just nothing. I just I don't I don't

(01:38):
get it, because it seems like we were both having
as good a time, and you know we even said like, hey,
you know, I was like, hey, we should do this again.
He was like yeah, totally, and nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, we hear this a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
I mean I said, I know, the right thing to
do if you go out with somebody one time and
you're never going to see him again, the right thing
to do is say, like, you know what, this isn't
working and I'm you know, I'm not going to be
interested moving forward. But nobody does that. Instead they say sure, yeah,
and then they ghost, you know, which is annoying.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
But that's where we come in.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
We're gonna try and get some answers for you, because,
especially on the dating apps, I talk about this all
the time, because I've been on them. Is when you
meet someone you think is cool and you get excited
about them, only to find out that it's not gonna
go any further than one day.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
It's like it's super disappointing.

Speaker 7 (02:17):
Yeah, and like I don't know just right forward, you know.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yeah, all right, Well, let's see if we can get
him to tell us what's going on. We're gonna call
this guy, Jason. You'll be on the phone, give us
a second to get some info, and then you can
jump in if you want, and hopefully whatever's going on,
we can strain it out and set you guys up
on another date and pay for it. Okay, can you
hang on for a second, We're gonna find out what's
going on. In Part two of Waiting at the Phone
after Lowly Young back again two minutes, don't move. It's

(02:42):
the Fred Show, Lowly Young. The frend Show is on
the radio and the iHeart app. You can listen live
every morning, catch up anytime. Search for the Fred Show
on demand and make us a pre set. Part two
of Waiting by the Phone.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Dawn.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
All right, let's call Jason. You guys met on Hins.
You went out on a date that you thought went well.
You talked about seeing each other again, and he agreed,
Oh yeah, that would be great. You know whatever, Except
now he's ghosting and you want to know why. All right,
let's call him right now.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Good luck. Hello, Hi is this Jason? Yes, it is
a Jason.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Fred fred show, but he's here from the show, and
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now and I need your permission to continue
with that call with this call. Is that okay if
we do that? Yeah, sure, thank you. We appreciate that.
We're calling on behalf of a woman named Dawn, who
I guess you met on Hinge and you went on
one date with Do you recall this date this woman?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
Yeah, yeah, I remember.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Okay, Well, she described a great date and said, you
guys have talked about seeing each other again and believe
that would happen, except now you're ghosting, and she's kind
of wondering. Why can you explain to us what happened?

Speaker 6 (03:49):
Yeah, yeah, I can do that. Yeah. We went out
and yeah, it was a really nice time. We had
some great conversations. She's really cool. But I noticed that
she uh she happens to uh dip like chewing back.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah, guys, yeah, so okay, like like uh little comes
in a little round container and I don't know people anymore,
so and you like stick the tobacco in your lip
and then you spit the remnants out.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
Yeah, yeah, and a lot. I went to college in
Texas and like I did to a lot of unfortunate friends.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Who did it, I did leave the solo dip cups
all over the Okay, so she dips, So this, does
she get in your car like put a dip in?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Or was there already a dip in when she got
in the car.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
My car was in the shop, so like she was
taking me in her car, and yeah, I happened to
notice the dip in her like like one of the
cup holders.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Get in the car.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Did you go in a glove compartment though?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Does she like get it out to put the dip in?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yeah, that's right, like she opened it up and then
then put it that's there.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I'm sorry, that's disgusting. I don't want to kiss somebody
after they've done that. Let me bring don And I
forgot to mention the donn So don you're a you're
a dipper.

Speaker 7 (05:13):
I mean it's better than smoking.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I don't know, is it.

Speaker 7 (05:17):
You know, everyone has a vice. It's been a really
stressful time, Like if it gives you a.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Little bit of comfort just to stick a fat dip
in your lip, I think there's a buzz, right, I mean, you.

Speaker 8 (05:29):
Good.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
First of all, it's.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Not better than smoking. Some sciences say that it's arguably worse,
like four different types of cancer.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, we're not here endorsing it. I don't that's that's
I don't know if that's a true statement. I don't
think it is. But let's talk about just a disgusting
habit in general.

Speaker 6 (05:47):
Though.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
I mean, it's you gotta admit, don it's gross, Like
it's not. Yeah, it's pretty gross.

Speaker 7 (05:52):
I mean, it's not like my best feature.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
But I I just I don't think that that is
you know, no second gate, Well huh.

Speaker 7 (06:01):
It's not like it was the whole time.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Okay, it's not.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Like, don't you like present the best version of yourself?
Though on a first date?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, you don't dip until the third day, that's a rule.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
But do you want your advertising?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Yeah, I mean to embarrass you, but it's just kind
of yeah, I mean, but you did ask I mean,
you asked us to find out why he didn't call you,
and he's telling us that you had a discussing habit.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
He thought and and and you know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Do you do you expect someone to kiss you after
you've had a big water of tobacco in your mouth?

Speaker 1 (06:33):
I mean, I'm just.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Surprised you've never heard this before. Like, unless I feel like,
here's the thing. I feel like a lesson. The other
person also dips. I feel like you're probably not. You know,
they may or may not enjoy that habit of yours.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I think every day.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
It's not every day just on dates. Okay, Well, I
mean but you know, you ask us for the information
we got the he's.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
On into it, she needs it. It's a hard couple
of years or whatever.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Okay, So so not gonna be another date than Jason, right,
I mean I can assume we're not doing this again.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
Yeah, definitely not.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Okay, Hey, don look.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
You do you and and I'm sorry didn't work out,
But you know, everybody has their thing, and for him,
he doesn't. He wasn't into the dip cup. And it's
kind of gross. It's actually real gross.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Oh wow, maybe throw them out it's okay, do you but.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
You dip cup and do you yeah? Okay, all right, sorry,
be selected both of you. Okay. The entertainment reporting is
up next.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
The biggest stories that the day got headlines, and the
fun Fact all coming up. Fred Show back in too
after Arianna.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Alin's entertainer report is on The Fresh Show.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Denzel Washington appeared to get pretty heated with a photographer
at the can Film Festival. This all went down on
the red carpet last night while Denzel was at the
world premiere of his new movie Spike Lee's Highest to Lowest.
It's clear from the back and forth that the photographer
definitely did something that he didn't love. And then the
dude grabbed Denzel's elbow, which I don't know why you're

(07:59):
doing that, which of course he didn't love either. Denzel
kept telling the dude to stop whatever it was that
he was doing, but his night quickly turned around quickly,
I said quickly twice, I'm not sure why. After he
was given this French sounding award that apparently is very
coveted before they played the movie, which made him happy.

(08:19):
And he's already by the way on his way back
to New York to get ready for another sold out
show of his Broadway run. In a fellow he has
been great in that. I've heard he's been doing Broadway.
By the way, Elsewhere on that red carpet was a
very beautiful pregnant Rihanna holding asab Rocky's arm as he
held an umbrella for her, and they went down the steps.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
They looked amazing.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Moving on to Diddy's alleged sex workers, who have been
finally unmasked as week two of testimony gets underway in
his federal trial. And did any of you guys watch
the show Jigglos?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Did you ever watch that?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Jlo is in it? Right?

Speaker 5 (08:53):
No, this is a this is a real was a
movie a movie she was in Hustlers.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
I don't know if you're thinking of that.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
This is a reality show about male escorts in Las Vegas.
It was amazing, but they revealed the identity and at
least one, possibly two of the escorts that Diddy and
Cassie used and other people allegedly are from that show.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
And it was a great show.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
I think they have episodes on Hulu. They show a
lot and it's like their clientele and all these women
who hire them, but prosecutors released a document dump of
exhibits entered into trial evidence. Some of the pictures showed
faces of these sex workers that Diddy allegedly hired to
be transported across state lines for quote freak offs.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
With his significant others.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
The photos of the male escorts were shown on the
monitors to the jury during her testimony, and they are
now public. One is named Jules, and he was the
third person in that hotel room with Diddy and Cassie
the day of the infamous Intercontinental Hotel surveillance video in
LA in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
So I just thought that that was crazy.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
I believe their companion service was named Cowboys for Angels,
the esports service. Yeah, that show was a time usual?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's what I confused.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
I'm like Jayla was in a g movie.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Oh I know the movie that flopped.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Yeah wow, I never.

Speaker 9 (10:21):
Saw that movie, but I wanted it's all her not
to go back to being I'm sorry, poor j love.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
You just dragon the movie. So they never should have
gotten met together.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
I'm coming for her.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
No one else cared about your your lack of chemistry,
so you shouldn't have you there to.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Make another movie about with this man. He didn't want
to be in that and it was all about their relationship.
She flopped twice.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Yeah, I'm bummed about girl.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
You treasure then you go poor girls, but we treash her.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
I got it. And lastly, I just thought this was funny.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
And have any of you guys ever fallen asleep during
a makeout or a.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
You know nment?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
No?

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Yeah, yeah, okay, have you I don't see. Probably when
I was drunk, maybe, but I don't. I mean, yeah,
I don't know. You know, stuff happens, okay when you party.
But Britney Snow shared a really funny dating story on
the In Your Dreams podcast from back when she was

(11:27):
in her twenties. She said she was in her late
twenties and using the exclusive dating app Riah, which I
think we talked about yesterday, and she went on a
few dates with a very famous DJ whose name she
didn't say, but during their first date at his place,
things were heating up when suddenly, mid makeout, he fell asleep.
Thinking it was a one off, she gave him another chance,
but on their next day, the same thing happened. He

(11:50):
dozed off mid kiss again. She said, I must be
really hot, and then she ultimately realized they probably weren't compatible.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
And moved on. But I am dying to know who
the DJ is, so get on it.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
I mean, support guy sleep.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Probably I've definitely talked a big game before and before
a date and then eaten too much and bed like.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Never mind, right, yeah, we're kidd right.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Like I ate a porterhouse.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Sorry promises, you know, you know, like, oh, you know what,
I'm gonna take you out tonight.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Then you know you know what's going on later on,
you know what.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I'm saying, and then we can eat those that triple
dipper with the uh Chili's with the buffalo Mozzarelli sticks,
and I'm like, I need to be alone for a while.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Never mind, maybe another.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Day I'll give you an I owe you, but I
don't know. Texas, if you've ever fallen asleep making out.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
By the way, if you missed any part of our show,
just type the Frens Show on demand and set us
as a preset please on the free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
So we're at the pulse of all the important stories,
all the important subject matters of the day. That's what
we do around here on the Fred show, and last
week it was very very significant debate about whether to
rinse after brushing your teeth or not, and it was divided.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
It was divided.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Now now reasonable people don't wash toothpaste off their teeth
after brushing them. That would be an insane thing to do,
but apparently half of our audience does do that. The
question this week, though, is, and this may seem obvious,
but there is apparently an answer, according to a website,
but how many pair of underwear do you need to

(13:20):
own in which to just function in daily live? The
answer is apparently a common guideline for how much underwear
to own would be seven to ten pair of underwear.
Now my question would be, and Caml's got a look
on her face like that's just shocking, how much more
underwear do you need? That's a pair of day and

(13:42):
if you have ten, that's a couple extras just in
case one pair of day?

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Well, how many pair of underwear day are you wearing?

Speaker 5 (13:50):
You get up at four am? I am not wearing
one pair all day? I want to sleep in.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
What I do you decide to change that? Yeah, deciding factor.

Speaker 8 (14:02):
If I shower at night, I put a new pair,
but I put another pair on until I shower the
next day.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
I sleep in different under I wear thongs.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Kay, yeah, me too.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Them.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Okay, so you have like okay, and you never consider
wearing night tim under I guess you wouldn't. I wear
the same basketball shirts every night for three or four
nights before I wash them again. And I don't usually
wear underwear with those when I sleep in them. But
there's nothing going on that I need to be concerned about. Yeah,
I mean, you know, because again I'm clean when I
got in the bed.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
So I'm okay with that.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
But yeah, no, I probably own seven to ten pair
of underwear. I don't know, you know. I mean I'm
doing laundry every three days, so I mean I've always
got five six stacked ready to go.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I mean how many would you say? You would say,
fourteen pair, twenty pair, thirty pair? How much underwear do
you need?

Speaker 6 (14:56):
A lot?

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Well?

Speaker 5 (14:57):
I think it's different for guys and girls, I really do. Yeah,
I think it's different. You guys have.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Different parts, different stuff going on.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
We do, Yes, thank you, I welcomed. Well, he only
has one song. I know we've established that, yes, so
that only comes out for special occasions.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
Holiday, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Yeah, yeah, Christmas, Christmas when they named the Pope. Yeah yeah,
when that white smoke came out the thong went on,
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
But what is, honestly though, like a full time like
full ownership of underwear, the entire collection, the whole, the
whole menagerie. Uh you know, how much do you really need?
The limit does not exist. I would say for women
twenty or last, I'd say for men, you could easily
get by with ten pair of underwear, even easily.

Speaker 8 (15:42):
At bottom of the stack, because when it's cleanly.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Just that's what.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
You're up. You poop your pants sometimes, No.

Speaker 8 (15:49):
But I still have enough another run out.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I mean, I can't believe that's a sentence. I can't
believe that's a sentence to have. Someone says, twenty four
plus pair of underwear.

Speaker 9 (15:59):
I agree more than that. Yeah, ohy, like I don't.
It's like I don't wear them all, but they're there
and I feel comfort comfort in knowing that they're there,
right the.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Random song from high school, I need it, so I
need it full of underwear like you got nice ones,
you got nice.

Speaker 9 (16:15):
Ones, you got cotton, you got you know you.

Speaker 8 (16:18):
Gotta have different exercise, and you have to wear all
the underwear that you have in one full cycle.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Oh my gosh, I'll be out here with my first
Victoria's Secret rhinestone thong that I bought behind my mom's
bag it. Yeah, I still have some underwear from back
in the Oh my god. Yeah, I wash it and
I don't wear it.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
That's good. Well, then you know that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
I keep a nice seven to ten rotation going of
my nice Tommy John boxer briefs, and I just keep it.
You know, if one starts to look a little ragged,
it goes way, new one comes in. You know, I
got backup if I need it. Now, here's the next question.
How much do you travel with? Because I have a
pair of day and then one extra, just one extra.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
You bring all of your you bring your whole collection.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
As Kayla just alluded to, I have some issues sometimes, so.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I just I can't believe it. I can't believe we're discussing.
This has grown up my pants sometimes.

Speaker 8 (17:13):
But I have to take all of it because you
never know.

Speaker 9 (17:16):
Yeah, there's no limit. I just opened the drawer and
just grabbed in my luggage, like.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Literally, thing could happen on the plane.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
On the train.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
We are grown adult. Anything doesn't need to happen.

Speaker 8 (17:32):
You can control it, yours.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
You act like it. You you can control it.

Speaker 8 (17:42):
Actually I try, I don't think I want to try
so hard.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
I don't want to have it.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
Okay, So for a weekend trip, you bring all ten
par of underwear that you own.

Speaker 8 (17:53):
It's just easy to grab the whole stack and throw
it in the God, you don't have to worry about it.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
But if you never return to house, I need my underwear.

Speaker 8 (18:05):
I never have access to my undisy guy.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
A para day and maybe a spare, just sting a
para day and maybe a spare total. Next week I'm
traveling for three days, I'll bring four pair of underwear.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
Wo wait, wait, wait wait, what if you're sweating? What
if you're swimming, you cannot put the same pair of.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I don't wear underwear when I'm swimming.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
You can't put the same pair on after you got
a shower after.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
No, if I were on a beach vacation, I would
wake up. I'd put my swim suit on and there's
no underwear in them. There's a little meshion there. Okay,
there's a little MESSI in there that, you know, keep
it all together. And then I'd be walking around doing
all that all day, and then I would at the
end of the day take a shower, put some underwear on,
and there we go.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
There's one pair. It's all I needed.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
What if you need underwearund for the morning, like you're
going to breakfast, then you're going to the beach?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Well, how much? How long did I wear it? How
long did I? Mean?

Speaker 3 (19:01):
What's going on down there? Is my question? Line's more
of emotional. It's more of a mental emotional I do.
I definitely do. It's just a sist in my head only,
which is wonderful. Jesus, I gotta go. Fred show is
Fred's fun.

Speaker 5 (19:21):
Fact, Fred's fun so much?

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Did you know that apples in the supermarket can be
as much as a year old? Apples in the supermarket
can be as much as one year old. So farmers
will pick the apples in the fall, cover them in wax,
hot air, dry them, and then put them in cold storage,
which would keep them edible and ready to sell for

(19:54):
anywhere from six to twelve months. So it's possible that
the apple that you see in the grocery store is
as much as a year old.

Speaker 1 (20:02):

Speaker 8 (20:04):

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah? How does that work? All right?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Someone sent me a video my friend Mike the other day,
and it was it was this is what It's like
to be married, and it was a man and a
woman in front of like the apple section of the
grocery store, and he would pick up an apple from
the big pile and hand it to her, and she
would look at it and then put it back because
she wouldn't didn't want that one. And then he would,
well she wasn't looking, take one out of the bag
that she'd already selected, hand it to her. She'd look

(20:30):
at it and then put it back because because if
it came from him, it wasn't right, even if she'd
already picked it.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
Sounds fun. Can't wait to do that
