Ony seven one. Eh, well, go in the city. How
does your Urban Dictionary name go again? It was Kaylin
one of the most attractive people of all time or
something right? Oh was high Standers. I'm one of the
hottest people of all time, wasn't it. Yeah, that's what
Urban Dictionary says about Fred. Fred's show is Hoday Morning,

(00:23):
every one Thursday, July tenth.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
It's the Fred Show. Hi Kailin, good morning, Hi Jason Brian.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Her show is Shelley. I didn't I didn't say, but
we were late and I had to go, so love you, Shelley, have.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
A good day.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
There's no controversy in the game. There have to be rules. Okay,
we live in a society. There have to be rules.
You don't get ten seconds anser this question. I was
thrown off by the last the kid's last name, because
I thought culture was like Sharon Prince. There just was
no last name. Yeah, yeah, I was first been first
name basis the kids whole life.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So uh.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
The throwback throwdown named that tune battle k with seven
wins Chason, that set Kiki has for Paulina has four.
If you want to play our throwback, name that tune
battle eight five, five, five, nine, one one three five.
I'm sure you'll hear this another show soon. We faxed
over all of our questions to the other shows too,
so they can just quite and use those.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Were here on the iHeart app. If you guys want
to just copy directly, give us a listener while you're there,
play the.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Exact same game. Good gosh, good, good golly, miss Molly,
I said, gosh, I know, but you just I said,
I'm correcting myself, okay, because it's it's a fleeting thing.
I don't you mean to say it's just a figure speech.
I on me to call out if you want to play,
and you may be called upon for the coveted phone
of friends. So if you know throwback songs, which we

(01:40):
define as six and a half years and older, and
I can take it as far back as I want,
I don't care because apparently Jason knows Kansas songs from
nineteen eighty. So the next time you complain about a
song from nineteen ninety eight, I swear I would never
ninety A beautifully. You do not want to hear it,
call out if you want to play. We had mentioned

(02:01):
yesterday that we're working on trying to get some supplies
down to Texas to help out the folks affected by
the floods there. Working with a group called Operation Air Drops.
So they this is what they do. They find volunteer
pilots who have access to airplanes and they got a
list of supplies here that they need, stuff like kitchen
gloves and bug spray and buckets and trash bags and

(02:23):
all this kind of stuff and amy where they're right
from one one hundred truck back. Our friend, without any question,
offered to pay for as much as we could put
on airfread to take down there. We're just working on
logistics right now. So I got a bunch of emails
about it yesterday. There are people from different counties that
listen to us all over the country who were offering,
you know, to get involved, to give us stuff. And
I wish I had a cargo plane. I did a

(02:45):
little putt putt plane. It is not going to be much,
but I really wanted because you know, I think everyone
who listens to the show is quite a ways away
from Texas, and I know that people would love to help.
And you can donate money to a bunch of different organizations.
We've it a few and we've got them up on
our social media platforms you can see. But we wanted

(03:05):
to take some actual stuff there and try and make
an impact and represent our audience in doing that. So
we're working on that right now. Whether we're actually going
to burn it or whether we're going to Dallas or something. Uh,
we're trying to get that done, and it may be tomorrow,
and it may be a little bit later in the process.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
So yeah, yeah, there's a lot of moving parts, a
lot of a lot of a lot of moving parts. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
And and and I'll be honest, Tara from the organization
that is doing the best she can to to make it.
The president is going there tomorrow. So I don't know
if Arifred needs to be anywhere near there. I really don't.
I feel I feel like, you know, my lice, my
Candida liights all and buckets made wind.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
I don't know where.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
But we really want to help out because it's just
obviously an incredibly tragic situation down there. And and thank
you to all who have reached out. I mean people
have reached out and said I don't have any money,
but how can I help? And so so so thank
you for for all of that. And we'll keep you updated.
And thanks to Amy with it right and and some
of our other partners too who offered to help as
well with that So throwback, throw Down, name that tune,

(04:09):
battle calling out if you want to play. The Entertainment
Report headlines and fun fact coming up to what are
you working on?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
K Love Island contestants apology for some reason it was
sped up I think, which was weird.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
The Entertainment Report. He's on the Fread show. All right,
we have time for like two quick stories.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
But first, Sierra Ortega has addressed her a dramatic exit
from Love Island after outrage erupted over her past racist posts,
and she says she agrees with production's decision to give
her the boots. So even if you're not watching, I'm
sure you've seen all this unfold online and in a
linky video and a written statement she shared on Instagram yesterday,
Sierra said that she's went back home for forty eight

(04:46):
hours and is ready to address herself very naively, using
an incredibly offensive and derogatory term. First and foremost, she
apologizes to the Asian community and all who she has offended,
adding I had no idea that word held so much
pain and harm and came with the history that it did,
or I never would have used it. And while she
said she had no ill intent when using the term,

(05:07):
she concedes that there's absolutely no excuse because intent doesn't
excuse ignorance. Now I liked her apology here, there were
just two interesting things for me.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
First of all, I.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Think she sped up the video in her apology, and
I don't know if it's because she spoke slow and
wanted to like hit every point, but it seemed oddly
sped up.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
So that was the first thing I noticed.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
And the second thing is that she said there's a
lot of time Sam's going around as to when she
used it.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
She said she used it.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
There's been two and the last time was in twenty
twenty four. She used it on a story, and she
actually showed us a conversation where somebody called her out
said you can't use that word, and they had a
really great conversation, and she said it was then and
there I took it out of my vocabulary. So someone
must have taken this video from her story and chosen
when to use it, which I think is interesting. But
she did have receipts from where she said, Okay, I'm

(05:56):
not going to use that word.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was a good dialogue. So I thought two things
were very interesting. She was booted.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
They have no tolerance for that, and I agree with
their decision.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Moving on to something.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
That I heard that you guys have to hear because
I didn't want to hear it. I didn't ask for this,
but Jojo see whata covered Betty Davis eyes by Kim Carnes.
I believe, and she's she's trying to be like Miley Cyrus.
I think she knows just what.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
It hurts. It sounds like it hurts, yeah, Like is
everything okay? Yeah, I don't know why she covered it.
She had a wig on.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
There's a lot going on, but clear, clear throat, baby,
and if you missed anything.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Clear it at me next time. No, he said, it
sounds like some radio people.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
No, you don't.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
You don't have you missed any part of whatever the
hell this is and you want to catch up. I
don't know anymore Fred Show on the Man on the Free.
I heard app I've lost all Will I don't know.
Oh no, it's funny. It's like the right right we

(07:14):
need to have will.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
That's what they say the fun Fact. We'll do it
next waiting by the phone, and uh and more stay
right here.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
More Fread Show next. The Fread Show is on Fred's
Fun Fact.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Fred Fun learn so much?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Did you know that lighters were invented before matches? I
swear I'm not high right. The first lighter known I
don't know. I would say this as as essentially as
a lamp, was invented in eighteen twenty three by name
Johan Well. The first friction matches, known as Congress matches

(08:04):
were invented in eighteen twenty six by John Walker. I'm
thinking those two guys didn't know each other Johan and
John John Wolfgang Dobin Reiner. Anyway, it seems counterintuitive though,
I mean, once you think that the match would be before
the lighter, rob really.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
That's a good fact. Well, thank you, you're welcome. Suppose
the other crappy ones. More Fred Show next,
