Speaker 4 (01:38):
Are you telling me we have listeners again? It's my
favorite day of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Some people say Christmas, some people say their birthday. Some
people say they didn't get their tax return. Hello me,
it's the day the teachers come back.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
And I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I know you all have that nice summer and you
don't really want to get up back whatever, but boy,
did we miss you.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
It's like hello, hello, hello, Hello, hello hello, But you're
back so we can.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Oh my gosh, I've never been more energized in my
life this morning waiting out the phone, is knew, why
did somebody get ghosted? Of course money with Shelley can't
Key's court butt ump ump girl?
Speaker 3 (02:18):
You're raising a punk?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Is that the same one as it was Thursday? Yeah,
we're still raising a punker? Were we doing something else
on Thursday? And we changed the case one? Somebody caught
a case over the weekend. We changed him you okay?
The Entertainment Report blogs and headlines the biggest stories at
the day this hour, What are you working on?
Speaker 5 (02:34):
K The Jonas Brothers kicked off their tour in a
huge way with a big surprise. Also the singer who
stopped mid concert to scold a mom for not having
headphones on her baby.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Mm okay, I want to pull this up here because
I want to make sure that I read it exactly
as Paulina roaded on our little sheet which is becoming
more of a diary again. But that's okay, Well, we'll
get around to that. I just I don't want to
I want to do this justice here. So we have
a little dog document. Everyone writes into the document. There
are little ideas for the program each day, and this
(03:05):
is what it says Paulina, a continental breakfast hates to
see me coming. I truly don't think. I don't I
truly don't think we don't talk about Okay, can we
also like for free too? Okay, that's much. Yeah, let
me let me I'll make the correction a continent. What
this says is a continental breakfast hates to see me coming.
(03:27):
I truly don't think we don't talk about that enough.
I think what you mean is I truly don't think
we do we talk about that enough? Correct If the
hotel doesn't offered, I'm not staying there. No where did
that come from? Well?
Speaker 6 (03:39):
I had a lovely stay in Detroit the d or
as they called it, Motown, and we landed or like
well up to Motown as.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
They called it at one time. It's never been referred
to it before. What a good idea.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
He wasn't meant to that.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
So they were like, oh, we know this and that.
And my mom and I were saying at a hotel
with my baby Gig. We were staying down the road
from my sister's house and we went to on stairs.
My Mom's like, yeah, you know, they got some breakfast whatever,
we can check it out.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
If not, We'll go somewhere else.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
And I said, oh no, no, no, we do Continental breakfast.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
In this house.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
And I say that because I don't think we really
appreciate enough of what it stands for. What does it
stand for?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
No, please explain to me what a continental breakfast stands for.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Is that America?
Speaker 6 (04:17):
It stands for America? It stands for I'm traveling on
a budget. But I don't want to pay forty dollars
for eggs in the morning, because breakfast can be expensive.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
So I'd rather have the eggs have been sitting out
for a while one hundred percent.
Speaker 6 (04:29):
They got bagels, They have everything you guys, they have yogurt,
they have you can make your own waffles. If I
went to the restaurant across the street for this order,
it would have cost us what like maybe eighty dollars
for two people and a baby?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Am I right? For some eggs and some bacon. They
would have made the waffles for you.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
Though.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
No, I wouldn't get myself. Choose your own adventure. We
just don't talk about that enough.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
So if a hotel doesn't have it, I probably won't
stay there for that rate that I'm paying, which wasn't
a lot, but you know whatever, a little two hundred
dollars stay to have breakfast. I think you you're really
I don't know, just makes up for it. Don't three parking,
But that's another conversation we're not ready for.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
I stayed in a hotel recently that had like parking,
a parking lot, normal parking lot. There was no like
but there was no gate or anything. And then when
I checked in there like do you have a car?
I was like no, but what if I did? We
had to pay for parking, but there's no what do
you what do you mean like, there's no there's no
like key card swipe, there's no garage, there's a parking lot.
(05:27):
It was like one of those. I was only there
for one night. It was a convention hotel. You know,
it's like a massive hotel, massive parking lot. Likely I'm
not telling you. I'm not telling you, you're gonna charge me.
You would never know. And the guy was like, well,
how did I swear to you? He goes, well, how
did you get here? Because like my sister was standing
there and know we were like brothers sister. I'm like,
(05:49):
she drove me? He goes, so you do have a car.
This is a curb episode, like, well, I was dropped
off you, Mike a business Continental breakfast or not. That's
all I want to know, because if you don't, I'm
leaving right now. Why is he continental breakfast? The other
thing that kind of irritated me about it, and I
(06:11):
get I understand policy.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
But I went to the radio conference.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Little thing that there's a radio conference every year for
morning shows, and and I went. I went to that
and they were nice enough to have me on a
panel talking about I don't know what I said.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
When I was on Young Jock, the rapper is apparently
a morning personality, and he said that it was wild.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
As opposed to the other young Jock.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, but I didn't young Jock. I mean, you may
not think about you.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
You might think young Jack can think mid two thousands,
it's going down, And I, you know, drank a lot
listening to that song because I was in college or whatever.
But then no, he's a radio personality and he was
on a panel, and I'm just like, that's young Jock, right.
That was really kind of crazy to me that we're
on the same stage doing anything. I never in my
life when I heard he's going down, It's going dun.
(06:55):
I never one time thought someday, I'm gonna sit on
stage with that guy and he's we're gonna talk about stuff.
So that was in Austin, and then I went to
Dallas because my nieces are there, and it was literally
too hot in Austin on Friday afternoon for me to
leave to fly the airplane. The airplane was like nope,
no thank you, little pup pup plane. Like, the systems
were like nope, overheat, like you know how your iPad overheat?
(07:17):
Like no, no, thank you, We're not today. So I
had to I had a hotel room for two nights,
but I had to call them and be like, hey,
I'm not coming tonight, but keep the reservation because I'm
coming tomorrow. I have to book another property in your
little collection Marriott collection here, you know, so that I
can stay here.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'll be there tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I'm like, is there any way you guys would credit
me back tonight because I can't get there, like there's
no flights, they can't get there, and they said no,
they said no, And then I booked it on one
of those websites and then the website reached out to
them and I said no to them too.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
I'm like, well, that is one way for me to
rest asshirt.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
I'll never come back to your kind little breakfast having
parking lot paying ooh thing. It's like, how like, you know,
I can't get there?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Were there rooms available? Could you have just canceled and
then rebooked?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Well, but there's no there's no refunds, like and I
know they said like it says that no. I understand
it's the policy, but I just thought, you know, I
just thought, you know what, I'm coming tomorrow. I can't
get I can't physically get there, yea, So maybe it
just you know, it wasn't that expensive. I'm like, maybe
just hook it up. I'm coming tomorrow. It'll be fine,
you know. And I couldn't cancel the reservation and risk
it because then it or just not show up, because
(08:24):
then it, you know, avoids the whole thing. So I
was like, you know, can you could you hook a
brother up just on this one time, just for the
one time, And they said no. Twice, three times they
told me no, and they said no. I'm like, okay,
well that's one way to be absolutely sure. I never
come back to your hotel.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
You should have never lied about that car. Well, I
shouldn't tell, but.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
You know, I know who he was lying. I know
the policy.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
I want to say what the policy is, but can
we use common sense? Sometimes like this isn't like I
booked this thing, and then I just play, I don't know.
I don't feel like it anymore. This is like I
booked the thing, I can't go.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
They're like, he doesn't have a plane, he's lying.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
I've been a wordered like that. I just said that
it was it was one hundred and something degrees. I
don't know. Maybe plans weren't my flight. I canceled. What
are you supposed to do? And then I know you
could buy that little trip thing insurance, but that was
half the price of the room, so I didn't do
that either.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
So I was like, I don't know what to do.
What I should have done?
Speaker 2 (09:13):
It stated at a place that had continental breakfast because
this place did not, And had I done that, I
could have just gone down there and made as many
waffles as I want.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
I would have felt better about it.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
And free coffee, unlimited unlimited free coffee.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
So like, what's the problem, Okay.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
No don't.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
I don't know, but anyway, yeah, thank you, so that
you just you just wanted to make sure that you
stood here for all thirteen listeners and let them know
that Continental breakfast is very much It's like that keen
peel skin if you've seen it, where the dude goes
and it's like Condinental breakfast is included and he goes
into the Continental. I'll have one for the Continental Breakfast,
and the man's like, you can just take this. He's
(09:50):
like the guy. The guy's cleaning stuff up, but he's like, sir,
car so on one for the Continental Breakfast.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Help yourself to those pancakes or whatever's over there.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
I mean it's free.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
But also like everyone breathed on it all morning and
which I'm not going to think about that part.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, I mean like I'm gonna ignore that part.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
And just you know, everybody like made the waffles for themselves.
Everybody did, and nobody really cleaned between you know, you
don't worry about that little salmonella didn't hurt anybody.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
In this little economy. Not really. No, I'll take a cleanse.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah that's the thing, right, Yeah, Yeah, I just lose
a few lbs that this way.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, are you guys as.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Uh into the continental breakfast concept? You do you look
into that when you I mean, if it's if it's there,
I'm like, oh, that's cool. But I mean I wouldn't
say I'm booking based on the Continental breakfast.
Speaker 9 (10:39):
Yeah, my sister is all about it, Like she looks
to make sure that it's there because she always travels
with her grandkids, her kids, and so she's like she's
the first one down there she has she's actually setting
up the breakfast.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
For them, like yeah, she's.
Speaker 9 (10:52):
Like helping everybody put it, put the food out, and
then yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
So there are TikTok videos about this too, where parents
at a hotel with the continental breakfast and it's like
they go in the kids room, Okay, breakfast till ten,
and I'm not buying you food until one. So if
you want to eat, kids, you got to get up
and got to take full advantage of the continental breakfast
crusting their eyes. Yeah, no, I like a room service breakfast.
(11:16):
But Jason, I were talking about this the other day,
like a room service breakfast will set you back sixty
bucks easy.
Speaker 10 (11:21):
Oh yes, I had my card full. I was like,
I'm gonna get French toast. I wanted a locked it
like everything. Last time I was in a hotel and
it was like fifty five dollars.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I'm like, I can't, I can't. I can't justify it.
But every now and again, treat yourself, you know what
I mean. It's it's yeah, that is that is ridiculous.
It is ridiculous saying.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
And then they show you on the TV and then
they got you got to add a tip to that.
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Yeah that was before like yeah, like.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
I was like, oh, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 10 (11:51):
It was like I could just walk my little booty
down to Starbucks and I'll be good.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
There is something kind of I didn't really ever think
of this into recently, but there is something kind of
strange about room service. Like Okay, I just woke up.
I'm basically still in my pajamas. I mean, I put
I'm wearing like clothes, I'm covered or whatever.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
But then I mean the.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Bed's kind of unmade. I just slept in it, you
know whatever, And I'm waking up and I'm letting a
stranger into the room with a cart of food and
like they have to walk in and like god knows
what they walk into. You know what I mean, right,
and it's just like sir, hello, like can I come
in to your rooms?
Speaker 4 (12:21):
And it'say, okay.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
And I never thought about it before because it's like,
well food and I want I want that so like,
but I mean, imagine what they must walk into because
people are not It's not like I cleaned the I mean,
you know me, I probably I organize everything.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
I made the damn bed.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
I'm embarrassed, you know, but I mean some people they
probably had some fun the night before and there's stuff
on the Imagine what these maids and room service people
must see walking into the hotel rooms they need.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
To come in though.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
That's I'm always curious because I don't want to me
trying to wheel that card in there and like I'm
just like give me, give me the food, right, I
just gotten the tray nothing at the door and took
the tray like I've never had anyone.
Speaker 10 (12:56):
I meandered room service I think three times my entire life,
but I I had someone like come in the room.
Speaker 9 (13:01):
They always come in my room like they it's like
they insist, They're like, oh please, may I come in?
And I'm like I could just take it and They're like, no, no, no,
let me come in.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
And I'm like, what are you trying to see in here?
Like I don't have my wig on. Just give me
the food.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Here's what I'm talking about, gusult underwear hanging out there.
You'll kick you out the one though you're hanging out
to dry.
Speaker 11 (13:19):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
It's just like, I mean, imagine what they must see
in these rooms.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
I didn't think about that until this one.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
And I'm like, I'm kind of what I sleep in
is not I'm kind of in my underwear basically, like, yeah,
come on in, sure. But you know, I had the
one hotel where I stayed there and the credit card
had breakfast for room service breakfast for two included in
this day.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
And this was exciting.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
So you know that every morning I ordered room service
breakfast for two. You know, I did as you should.
And so the dude the first day he brings it in.
It's on a tray and it's like a table already
set up and there's a there's food on each side
and like a little flour and the thing.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
It was very nice.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
And he wheels it in and he puts it and
he says, well, would the other person be joining us soon,
like us.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Like like, because you're leaving.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Right, you need to go there.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
So I'm embarrassed at this point because it's like pancakes
and eggs Benedict and like four potico I mean whatever
the limit was, I ordered all of it, and I'm like, oh, yeah,
she's out for a run. Well, by the third day
I stayed at the hotel, he realized there was no
other person. And by the way, it was the same
dude who worked every month. I'm like, can we get
does anyone else?
Speaker 3 (14:24):
They are right?
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Like, I figure I'm.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Gonna see a different person every day, so I can
come up with a different lie. You know, she's at
a convention for baby saving and she'll be back later.
Like no, No, it was the same dude. And finally
he just stopped asking because he realized I was going
to sit at one other table and eat that and
then move over to the other side, sit out of
the chair and eat that too, like a big Fatty's
Biggest Stories of the day. And the teachers are back
(14:48):
all these texts. Yes, we have people.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
Listening before like eight o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
I'm one of the thirteen teachers as bad as I
am for summer break to end. I'm happy because I
get to listen to you guys at my drive to
work every morning. You know what, I bless you. I mean,
bless you God, and baby everyone blesses. This is incredible Jesus,
oh my God, unbelievable. And I want to thank those
who listened long and hard all summer, because a lot
of you did. And uh, I think we had a
(15:13):
record summer, not kind of which means we'll probably just.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Crater in the fall or something. You know, it just
is what it is.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Oh yeah, if you could just keep the ratings up
till I signed my contract, that'd be nice. And I
don't really care what happens after that, honestly. Good well, no,
it did be fine, just you know, just until whenever.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
That day is.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
I think, honestly, I think they're waiting for them to
go down.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Can be exceeded.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Ah, you punk see, we knew it.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
No soup for you going a free continental breakfast somewhere.
That's where you work now.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
The whole time, all the time.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Don't serve the continental breakfast. That's all you're worthy of.
I mean, years of good luck, you know, And I'll
tell you what when I when I get kicked out
of here and I go work there, and there's nothing
wrong with that free continal breakfast for everybody, everybody. You know, Yeah, no, no,
no idea. As of this morning, I know that you
woke up this morning and you decided to stand on
business about continental breakfast. More than ten million people across
(16:13):
the Midwest remain under flood alerts this morning as heavy
rains continue to fall. Milwaukee was hit particularly hard by
storms over the weekend. It is on track to break
its daily rainfall record fourteen point five inches in a day.
On Sunday, Milwaukee County declared a state of emergency as
the Milwaukee River crested to historic eleven feet flash fludge, fludge,
(16:33):
flash lunch. Now, I'm shushing, that's a hard thing to say.
Speaker 12 (16:37):
No.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Flash floods swamped whoa. Flash floods swamped roads and stranded vehicles,
prompting first responders to make dozens of water rescues. Even
though Wisconsin State Fair had to shut down early because
of heavy rains flooding the fair grounds. The severe weather
is part of the same storm system that brought wind
gusts of more than eighty miles an hours to Nebraska
on Saturday, which killed one person. Hundreds of inmates at
(16:59):
the Nebraska State Penitentiary also had to be relocated after
the storm's damage to housing units. There's also a massive
Colorado wildfire which continues to grow. It's one of the
largest in state history, and it's still growing. The Lea Fire,
southwest of Meeker had burned over one hundred and twenty
thousand acres. As of last check, the blaze is seven
percent contained. Authorities have set up evacuation zone south and
(17:23):
west of the fire. High winds and dry conditions are
fueling the inferno, which is so large it's creating its
own weather system. Jim Lovell, who was the commander of
the Apollo thirteen mission, has passed away at the age
of ninety seven. As family shared that he passed away
his home in Illinois, but didn't share the cause of
his death. He went into space four different times, including
(17:44):
the the Apollo thirteen mission that the Apollo thirteen movie
was about. He wrote The Experience about all of this
in his nineteen ninety four book Lost Moon, which inspired
the ninety five movie Apollo thirteen. The Star Tom Hanks,
Kavan Bacon, and Bill Paxton. This guy was a This
guy was a legend, so rip to him. Someone used
(18:07):
to explain to me this little Boo boo thing. I
just don't get it.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
We mean why I know anybody?
Speaker 10 (18:13):
Yeah, I have one, but it's not cursed like Paulina's.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
So a group of masked thebes so we're masked thieves, yeah,
stole about seven thousand dollars worth of La Boo Boo
jols from an l A store last week. The incident
took place early Wednesday, which was the city which is
east of La. These suspects used a stolen a stole
a car so so grand theft, meet grand, theft of
(18:41):
a little boo bu so. I stole a Toyota Tacoma
to then go steal I mean this is.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
A serious crime.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah, Jason, So I caught a car jacket Tacoma to
go steal dolls. I mean imagine that. Imagine went to
prison for that. Hey man, what are you in for?
I stole the boo boos? But what is so? What
is this exact? I mean I know what they are
at little dolls, but like what is where did they
come from? Why do we care?
Speaker 10 (19:08):
Someone explained, so it just shows the power of TikTok,
because I truly believe like they became popular because of TikTok.
But it's from a store called PopMart, which I believe
is believe that originates somewhere in Asia. And they're just
like these little like demon looking like things, little monsters.
They're like Beanie babies. Oh yeah, they're like Branie babies.
(19:28):
Are the furbies of like this generation.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
And how do we determine which ones are collectible and
which ones are valuable.
Speaker 10 (19:34):
Currently because there are like so many they're like all
collectible at this point, but there's like super rare ones,
like a rainbow one that I want because pride, but
I haven't gotten that one yet.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Paulinas Pearla is like Annabelle.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
That day that we were not on the radio, that
was the first day that was Pearla was sitting right
here in my chair from this room.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Yeah, Purla's back at home.
Speaker 12 (19:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
So the entire control of s tim of this thing
just went black and we're blaming it on a Lebuobu.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
I mean, I brought her here one day and then
things just went Awryyi.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Hey, I'm minded to get rid of this labuobo complete,
because I don't want anything to happen to your hell.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
I'm having her a baptism. I think guys want to come. Oh,
bring mine, okay, I'll bring toffee.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah. Oh that's pretty. That's insane for her?
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Did you did you name they?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Or did you or or was it already it was
they already named? They were day them?
Speaker 11 (20:25):
They?
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Yeah, they were named?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
I name mine? Okay. The world's ugliest dog has been crowned.
The California pop has been named the world's Ugliest Dog.
The dog's name is Petunia.
Speaker 13 (20:36):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
This happens in Santa Rosa, California, at the Sonoma County Fair.
The hairless English French bulldog scored her owner Shannon five
thousand dollars. Organizers said that the contest has been running
for fifty years and Petunia will make a stop on
the Today Show this morning. Chick fil A has lost
its long standing crown as the best fast food drive
(20:57):
through in the US from USA to Day a reader poll.
And this is not fair because not everywhere has this,
Like a lot of places don't have this. I'm not
sure if anyone listening to us has Del Taco, but
Del Taco, which is well known in California, LA specifically, yes,
southern California, big varied menu, bunch of friendly prices, breakfast
(21:19):
to vegan options. So Del Taco is number one, Taco
Bell is number two, then Duncan, Chick fil A, and
Raising Canes. Those are your top five drive throughs? Do
we agree?
Speaker 10 (21:34):
I do think that the Chick fil A is very
efficient because now they have those. Some locations have that
like fast through lane or you don't even talk to anybody.
You just feel everything. You feel everything in your app,
scan the QR, you pull all the way around in
the separate lane, the hinge of your food, and you're gone.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
It's like seconds.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
They have like air traffic controllers and a lot of them,
like people out there with their headsets taking your order.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
Like way down the street.
Speaker 9 (21:55):
Yes, yeah, I can see a man you bro like, yes,
I know I'm gonna get the same thing.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
There's five things there I want to see. Do you
want a chicken sandwich? Do you want a spicy chicken sandwich?
Do you want do you want to do you want
a chicken strip or a chicken nugget? And then do
you want mac and cheese or do you want waffle fries.
That's it? And then what do you want to drink?
Speaker 12 (22:15):
Then?
Speaker 9 (22:15):
I like to see it, like, I feel so pressured.
We're all the way back here. I haven't even seen
them in you you ask me what I want to do?
You are you asking me my name? And I got
to give you a pick name every time I go.
And then when they call the fake name, I forget
that I gave them the fake names.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Why don't want a shame to be I mean, why
are we getting fake names? What is shameful about eating
a chicken sandwich?
Speaker 11 (22:34):
Nothing?
Speaker 2 (22:35):
I just do it all the time. Yeah, I left
an option out. Do you want grilled or do you
want fries? It's not that hard.
Speaker 14 (22:41):
Do you want apples or whatever you want? You don't
want apples? Don't even ask me if I want the
apples in a bag. I don't want apples in a bag.
I don't I like an apple, but I don't want
it here. I'm here, I'm a chick fil You know.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Look where I am right now? You know the jewels.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Look at the condition I'm in right now when I'm
eating this, Like, it's not pretty.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
None of this is pretty right now?
Speaker 2 (23:00):
And I ordered four sandwiches and the one person standing
here and I don't have any friends, so you know.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
What, she's on a run. Just give me my food
and say my pleasure, and.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
I'm leaving, just as if you wanted toss right.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
It's National playing the sand Day at National Sons and
Daughter's Day.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Cawen's entertainment report is on the Fresh Show.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
During a concert in Mexico City, Colombian rapper and singer
Maluma paused the show after spotting a mom holding a
one year old baby, her one year old baby without
ear protection in the crowded audience, and he actually confronted
her right there, saying, do you think it's a good
idea to bring a one year old to a concert
where the decibels are this effing high? That baby doesn't
even know what it's doing here? Next time, protect their ears.
(23:46):
You're waving them around like a toy. Having Yeah, yeah,
he really felt away. After becoming a father himself last year,
he said that he would never bring his own child
to a show like that without protection, urging the mom
and parents everywhere to be more aware and respect. The
crowd actually cheered in support, and the moment is quickly
going viral on social sparking discussions about child safety, child
(24:08):
safety at loud events. Excuse me, I don't know what
kind of discussion there should be. He was right, He's right.
I'm sorry. Your kidsiers need to be protected. In a
happier concert news, the Jonas Brothers kicked off their Greetings
from Your Hometown tour with a bang, bringing out Demi
Lovado for a surprise for union, very special reunion a
La Camp Rock and that whole generation of Disney stars.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
We have tickets on Thursday. I believe Jason Brown all day,
all day.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Okay, so listen of course now, but then then if
you want to win some of those tickets, I know
it's a big deal.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
That seems like.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
It's the hottest, like the one we're getting asked about
the most. Yes, I don't know if you guys agree,
but people are going crazy. Brothers, Yeah, all the millennials.
Mike Tyson is being stud for using the nineteen ninety
eight track murder Gram from jay Z Dmax and jow
Rule in an Instagram training video to promote his fight
with Jake Paul without securing permission or paying the producer.
(25:03):
The Treks co writer and producer Ti Fife filed a
lawsuit to enforce his rights and stop further unauthorized use.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
And lastly, LARSA.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
Pippen, who you may know from a couple of things,
either marrying Scottie Pippin, pitt Nippin' I can speak, Pippin
dating Michael Jordan's son. I guess maybe you could know
her from or the Real Housewives of Miami. I've had
a very long weekend, you guys, so I'm trying to say.
That was a hard word for me to say. But
she is getting called out online after she appeared with
(25:33):
a really puffy face on TV. Some fans and cosmetic
doctors speculated that she went overboard with fillers, but she
claps back as she does, saying it wasn't fillers, it
was an allergic reaction.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
That is why her face is so puffy. Do I
believe her? No? Am I telling you what she said? Yes,
but she said this swelling.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Is going down and some of the photos may have
been exaggerated.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:57):
You guys can look at a picture of how she
looked a long time ago. Now, by the way, if
you miss any part of our show and want to
catch up, type the frend show on demand and set
us as a preset on the free I heard radio app.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Sexual boobos are inspired by Nordic mythology, with each one
representing some entity. They're from a picture book turned into
a cartoon on YouTube. I'm just gonna believe that that's true.
I don't know if that's true, but I guess that's
what that's what that's about.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
I thought they were evil.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Apparently they are. Don't you bring that thing back in
here again?
Speaker 6 (26:26):
Miss Perla like to call her, though she gets very upset.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
I don't bring her back in here anymore. Welcome back
to all the teachers, Welcome back to everyone. Eight five
five five one three five. This is pretty simple, but
a new survey says a gen Z might be the
most practical generation. When it comes to romance, nearly half
of people, when asked, said that they would take long
term financial security over falling in love. About a third
(26:54):
admit that they would even consider getting back together with
an X if that person had struck it rich.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
When it comes to income, ten percent of gen Z
women say that their dream partner makes over two hundred
grand a year. Well, most won't, taiky you just couldn't
hold that on two hundred, well, most of them settle
for less than eighty and forty six percent say that
they wouldn't date someone unemployed, no matter how attractive they are.
(27:22):
So here's my question, simple, very simple. Would you take
money or love? You can only have one? You can
and don't. I not only hear any con from the
question is well, but but what about no?
Speaker 3 (27:36):
That's right?
Speaker 2 (27:36):
And then I guess part two of this is, would
you write I'm standing on business twice a day?
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Don't start?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Would you would you take an X back if they
struck it rich? So those are my two questions for you.
Eight five, five five nine one three five And everyone's
kind of nodding their head. It's not that easy of
a question to answer. I'm taking money. Take money over
romantic Levine, because you know, I can love myself in
(28:05):
Bora Bora, in an overwater bungalow. I could love myself
several times. I could wear myself out.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Well.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
See, look, I'm just as a person who's you know,
been on my own for a long time. You become
very self reliant, and yeah, there are moments when you're
like a companionship would be cool. But then there are
moments when I'm like, but I you know, if you're
tell me I'm rich, I'm not. But then I could
if I in this scenario, I could say but that
I'm rich, and then I could go do something you
know or I don't know, it would go. There are
(28:36):
other ways I think to find happiness and fulfill yourself
that don't require another human being. I take the money
and I'm sorry, but there's no X, no X out there,
not one that if they struck it rich, I'd be like, great, sure,
let's do it, because then it's just whatever issue caused that,
you know, the breakup, compounded by the fact that they
now control you with their money. So no, someone texted
(28:59):
Mary for love, make your own money.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
No.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Next question, I rebuk that.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Whoever's although I'm not dating someone who doesn't have a job,
let's at least be stable.
Speaker 11 (29:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
No, Jason's very offended by that. Yes, how dare you?
Speaker 10 (29:15):
If you would have asked me, like, I don't know,
five to ten years ago, I would have said, go
for the.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
Money, go for the money, go for the money.
Speaker 10 (29:21):
But now now that I'm finally wearing Mike enough down
to where he's showing little bits of affection. I'm like, wait,
it does feel nice to be loved, you know.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
So now my eighteen years.
Speaker 10 (29:31):
It only took fourteen years for him to break his
cold ass heart, and you know now, I'm like, oh, wait,
it does feel nice when he does little things. So
I don't know, it's hard that the money. I mean,
it's nice to feel like I guess like there's always
like a little you know, not if you get into
a hard situation.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I was gonna say, you can't pay your student loans off,
and he pays all the bills. Yeah, so imagine with
it the money is coming in very very handy. Yes,
I think, Paulina, money or love, you can only pick one.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
I'd say money maybe at this point. Yeah, I mean yeah,
like you know, a cost.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
To live, lives to cost?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Does it does cost to cost?
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I don't know, Kiky, you take the money because I
heard you said two hundred thousand and you just got
I mean you got a little excited.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, man, I'll take the money.
Speaker 9 (30:27):
I mean, like you said, I can love really really
be in love in a G five Mercedes bands, like I.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Can really like the bench truck.
Speaker 9 (30:35):
Oh, yeah, I would love you so bad, you know,
so like just.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
This imaginary thing, because yeah, right, you're not loving anyone.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
I would love you.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
It's hard to love broke and I know he was
taking she's taking love. I don't even have to ask
the question. I think love.
Speaker 5 (30:50):
So so I'll either only ever have money or love
my entire life.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
That's the scenario.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Okay, so I will never experience love.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
I knew somebody was gonna try. And but what about
a little love?
Speaker 2 (31:01):
And then it's love for money that's up standing on business,
which one is.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Okay, so throughout my whole life, then I would have
to choose love.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
See, I know, I knew. I'm like we know each
other for a long time. Who knew?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Because I know rich people that are very sad they're rich.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Is it Dale?
Speaker 15 (31:17):
Yes, Gail?
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, because D A I L. Is not a name anyway.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
It's like I am.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
But the one time I don't say it the way
that it's written, it's going to be like, no, it's
you you know you know, and then then I'm like
ignorant and sensitive and something exactly. Anyway, So Hi, Hi Gail.
Not named Dale because there isn't it Because there's not
a named Dale anyway, Well there isn't Dale, but it
wouldn't even be spelled that way if there were.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
Okay, So please what I trying to.
Speaker 15 (31:48):
Say, girl, I'm shocked at your answer. Fred It because
you have all people like you make. You make your
own money yourself, so it's painful to even sit across
from someone for a two hour dinner that you're not into.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Now, Gail Dale, hold on a second, because because I
wouldn't want to be with someone else for their money.
I mean, I think this is love or money. I'm
assuming the necessaria of the money is mine, so I
don't need I don't need to fake the love for
the money. So if I if it's either be rich
and alone or be in love and not have any money,
(32:24):
I think I would rather be rich if I had
to choose, I think I'd rather be rich with money
because I feel like, yes, you would be lonely, but
there are other ways to fulfill yourself. I think as
a person who doesn't don't.
Speaker 15 (32:35):
You're asking whether you should love for money or love
for love, or marry for money or those two options.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Well that part yeah, Now Part two Gail was would
you go back to an X who won the lottery
or struck it rich now that I wouldn't do.
Speaker 15 (32:51):
No, Yeah, okay, they're they're back there for a reason.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
We're on the same page because the problems wouldn't get anybody.
If I know one thing about going back to an X,
you don't almost never changes except now they're rich, which
means now whatever the issues are going to be compounded
because you're staying with them. It's like you have to
put up with it because they're rich. So that's not
going to walk. Hey, Gail Dale, thank you, Hey, love
you by, thanks for calling Illiana.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
Yes, hey, how you doing.
Speaker 16 (33:19):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Oh my god, I love you guys so much. I
literally listen to you guys every day.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
Well, thank you so much. We love you for that.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Okay, So you got the love or money and no
other compromise. You either can be in love or you
have lots of money. What do you choose?
Speaker 17 (33:34):
I choose love as somebody who has experienced and seen
like my grandma always chose money. And yeah, she's had
always had money, and she's always been very financially well
and stable, but she's been miserable. And it's like, and
you notice that and you see that and it's like, yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
You have this money, but you're alone.
Speaker 17 (33:54):
You're not doing anything with your money, You're not being happy,
Like I feel like you truly have to be happy
with yourself to be happy.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
With only money. And I feel like in this world, ain't.
Speaker 17 (34:04):
Nobody really that happy with themselves to just be okay
with money?
Speaker 2 (34:08):
I will say, Ileana peoples, they use the word alone
and it's always almost always in a negative context, and
I think it's maybe people should learn to be alone.
Sometimes you don't have to be but it's like alone alone,
look like it's a bad thing. Being alone is not
inherently a bad thing. But you're right if you hate
yourself and your torture with your own thoughts, and being
alone is a bad thing. But if you were rich,
(34:30):
you could hire a therapist.
Speaker 17 (34:34):
And it's like yeah, but it's like money can bring
you a lot of things, but money will never bring
you genuine love.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Yeah, I love.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
I could learn to love myself and be I hear
you though, thank you, have a good day.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Thank you you guys to have a great week.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
But thank you everybody I know, not everybody, most people
I know, it's alone, alone, alone, like it's a bad
thing being alone. I think more people should be able
to be alone. And if you want a companion, that's fine.
But if you're able to be alone and then you're
able to function in a companionship, I think that's the
best of both worlds. A lot of people, we all
know them, they cannot be alone x.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
That's a good point.
Speaker 10 (35:12):
I think it's just the alone forever is just like
the yeah, the you know, hard to think out.
Speaker 4 (35:17):
I like the rich forever. Jamie, how you doing? Good morning?
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Good morning?
Speaker 2 (35:22):
How are you Jamie? So you got two choices? Love
or money? That's it. Gen Z picks money? What do
you pick.
Speaker 8 (35:31):
Money?
Speaker 7 (35:32):
All day?
Speaker 18 (35:34):
I got my own money.
Speaker 8 (35:35):
I don't need your money.
Speaker 15 (35:37):
We just need to make money together and travel and
live life.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Okay, fair enough. So you would be quote unquote I'm
gonna call it independent. You'd be independent, not alone. You'd
be on your own and rich. You would choose that.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Okay, there you have it, Thank you, Jamie. You all right?
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Love you too? Uh Hey, how you doing, tay? Hey
you take that money?
Speaker 18 (36:02):
Oh yeah, for sure. I didn't want to say.
Speaker 19 (36:04):
It was so funny because when Beella answered, she was
like is this Heay, I call a way too much.
Speaker 5 (36:10):
Call as much as you want, but yeah, I'm taking
the money.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
Do you know how much gas is?
Speaker 9 (36:16):
Like I'm familiar, like diapers are expensive, and no, I'm
taking the money.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Hold on a second, how did you make the if
you took the money?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Was it like Tay for love?
Speaker 4 (36:29):
You said, wow, wow, just paid to get knocked up.
But she's rich. She can buy the diaper. She'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Yes, And then January comes around and I'm even more
rich when I touched her.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
You know, wow, okay, fair enough, Wow, so is buying babies.
But she's rich, so it's fine, It'll be great. I
got it. I don't think guy's legal, but if you're rich,
a lot of things are possible. So thank you, Tay,
have a good day. Glad you called. Let's do blogs

Good morning everybody, It is Monday, August eleven. Welcome back
to our listeners. The teachers are better. Some teachers are back.
Oh my god, thank.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
God we missed you.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
We did. You never looked better?
Speaker 12 (39:54):
Hi?
Speaker 4 (39:55):
Kylin, Hi, Hi, Jason Brown, Hi.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
She'll be Shelley eleven hundred bucks in the showdown in
about twenty minutes. Seventeen straight wings, good money. Today, we'll
get to waiting. Met the Foam. It's new and next
why does somebody get ghost to be? Entertainment reports coming
up this hour as well. What are you working on.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
The future of Kelly Clarkson and her talk show?
Speaker 5 (40:13):
Also the singer that told a fan or lack thereof,
that he would never perform in Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
Just because of him. Oh so getting into it with
one fan and saying I'll never go back.
Speaker 4 (40:25):
I'll never go back. Because he used.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Yeah, they talk better than they.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
These are the radio blogs on the Thread show, Is
there anybody? Is there a name of a person that
you'll never date again because the name is ruined. That's
a topic for it later. But like all people name
this have been ruined because of one person.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
No, because I've I've doubled up a couple of times
on the name.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Yeah, yeah, okay, but even after double up, then you
wouldn't like okay to Justin's we're done.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
I mean if we hit three trends, it would be
three third trend, yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Trend, yes, no more, no more trends for you, Cayle.
Like writing in our diaries, except we say I'm aloud.
We call them lugs go dear blog.
Speaker 5 (41:13):
If you have been listening for I guess at least
a year, you might remember last year Bella Palooza, which
is when my sister but.
Speaker 4 (41:23):
That was the point.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
It was a movie I heard, a party of the Century.
I know you were invited to your own home for it,
but yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
It was when my sister and her friends.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
I asked if they wanted me to give him my apartment,
but I obviously like, they didn't kick me out, but
they kicked me out, and you was at that event.
Speaker 4 (41:39):
I was is that Jesus?
Speaker 11 (41:40):
Like?
Speaker 3 (41:40):
It was crazy?
Speaker 4 (41:41):
What was he doing here? Paula was crazy?
Speaker 3 (41:45):
Yeah, it was a movie, it was for sure, so
you may you may remember that.
Speaker 5 (41:49):
This year it was Bella's twenty first of Palooza and
then goodness, the weekends were separated because you know, I
do have to work laala, and also it's my birthday.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
But who who the hell cares? So the schedule was
as such.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
She had four friends come in with her, and actually
there's a little apartment in my building this time that
I was able to rent for them so that they
could be a little bit more separated than we were
last time, and I could still live in my apartment.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
And they came.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
I love college kids because Friday we grilled for them
and they were just like, you.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
Know, they just don't get a lot of fresh food.
I feel like.
Speaker 5 (42:25):
So's they were, oh these potatos and ah, like they're
just they were very grateful for like real home cooked food,
and that was chill. And then I rented them a
boat on Saturday, which I'll be paying off for the
next three to five business years, but that's fine.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
It was my present to her, and it was all
their first time.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
In the little playpen and all the things, and so
that was fun. I did think it was very interesting
because I was the one who rented the boat, but
both the captain and the man who owned the boat
kept talking to my boyfriend about choices and money and
it was and I kept saying like, Hi, no, I'm
the creepy old man that rented the boat today.
Speaker 4 (43:01):
Talk to me. I'm the boss lady.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
I hate it when guys do that.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
And it happened a couple of times over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (43:08):
Like you go to like certain places.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
I don't want to pick in anybody, but I've seen
it a few times in my life where you'll go
and it's like no, no, no, like talk to her like
at this we're here for her. Yeah you know what
I mean, Like like what I don't again, not counda
pick in any industries, but it's like I've been in
that situation before where I'm accompanying a female but it's
her money and her decision to make. And I had
to say, like, stop looking at me.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
I'm broke.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
It's trustment. You want to be talking to her.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
Not me, right, they were very mystified. They kept being
like you you rented the boat. I'm like, yes, yes
I did. I did for my sister. And then later
that night we went to a pregame at my sister's
boyfriend's house because he's a great older he lives here
now all you know, a new job, everything, And I
have not been to a pregame. I don't did you
guys used to do this? Like, oh yeah, the pregame
was was the event.
Speaker 4 (43:54):
Because we couldn't afford to game, so we'd show up
to the event.
Speaker 5 (43:58):
Primed and it was parent. I brought a bottle of
tequila to the pre game, and you would have thought
that I was the most popular girl at the party.
Speaker 3 (44:05):
Everyone was around me, Yo, could I get a pull?
Speaker 5 (44:07):
I'm like, you, guys, this is for everyone like mys.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
Just like get a simp of this. Like but again,
the boys were all looking at my boyfriendly, couldn't have
some of your tequila?
Speaker 5 (44:16):
He's like, it's burst, it's hard tequila. But the boys
they have some learning to do. Like when the girls
walked in, they didn't get up and give them their seats,
like we got I gotta work with these young kids.
But and then we went out to just like a
good old Irish dive bar. I think she had a
lot of fun. She's a good kid. She deserves it,
and I don't know I remember changing your dye person.
Now she's twenty one and her first legal drink will
(44:37):
be today because to day's the birthday, so she had
to use her fake all weekend, which was pretty funny.
But it will be tonight at the movie theater, which
I love for her. They're just gonna go to movies
and she's good. She's a good egg. Where's my first
legal drink? In the parking lot of a convenience store?
Because I just it was like on a random Wednesday,
and it wouldn't but beer. He and I just drank
the beer.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
Did you say, what do you recommend?
Speaker 4 (44:58):
Yeah? I mean god, I did do that.
Speaker 3 (45:02):
That's my favorite story of yours about that.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
I went to a licaster. I was sixteen years old.
I asked the guy, what do you reckon? It was
so awkward. It couldn't have been any clearer, any clearer
that I, in fact was underag and should not have
been in there.
Speaker 4 (45:17):
And I only recommend well, shout out.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
To the bouncers. I'm not going to say where we were.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
But we had this whole formation set like Kaylin's the anchor,
her boyfriend's, the caboos, because we wanted to stagger the
people who were actually twenty one. And when they got
to my sister and her friend, they go, make sure
you tip the bartenders, and they looked at him and
let them right in.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
You go, you've ever been left waiting by the phone.
Speaker 4 (45:41):
It's the Fred Show. Hey, justin, Good morning, welcome to
the program. How are you doing good?
Speaker 1 (45:46):
Doing good?
Speaker 12 (45:47):
Good to be here?
Speaker 4 (45:47):
Doing good?
Speaker 16 (45:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (45:49):
I mean you're good, but you got is it good
to be here? You got ghosted?
Speaker 4 (45:52):
Bro? I hate to break it to you.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
No, I mean, so you went out with a woman
named Lucy, and you know, kind of give us the
backstories that we can get caught up here. How did
you meet her? How many dates have you been on?
And you know she is she ignoring you completely? Or
you know kind of where we at?
Speaker 4 (46:11):
Well?
Speaker 7 (46:11):
Okay, so we we met on the apps, right, and
we went out on a date and I thought it
was going pretty good, and uh, I don't know.
Speaker 16 (46:27):
We well, okay.
Speaker 8 (46:28):
Before that, we I got her number and I invited
her to go to brunch. Okay, I thought we had
a great time. But you know, after after we said by,
I never I never really heard from her again.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
All right.
Speaker 4 (46:43):
It was a typical thing if you've done this before.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
You you match on the dating app, you chat a
little bit, you get the phone number, maybe you switch
over to texting, and then you set up a date
and you went and your your takeaway from the date
is that you liked her and you thought there was
chemistry except for whatever reason, and you have not heard
from her since then, and so you're sort of at
a loss because it's like, well, I had a good
time and I thought the vibe was there, so why
(47:06):
wouldn't this person call me? Right, Okay, let's call Lucy
in just a second. We'll see if we can get
her on the phone, and we usually can, and we'll
ask these questions on your behalf, and then at some
point you're welcome to jump in on the call. And
the hope is that we can straighten this out and
set you guys up on another date that we pay for.
Sound good, Hey, justin Hey, all right, let's call it Lucy.
You met on one of the apps. You know, it's
(47:28):
a tale so old as time, Paulina, we you went on.
It wasn't there. We didn't do anything, but you know,
you went on the date, and you've thought everything went
really well. You were hoping to see this person again.
You've reached out to plan something and you have not
heard from Lucy at all, and you want to know
why it didn't.
Speaker 16 (47:44):
Radio silence for a while.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Now, Okay, let's call her now, good luck?
Speaker 12 (47:53):
Hello?
Speaker 4 (47:54):
Hi is this Lucy?
Speaker 12 (47:56):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Yeah, this is Lucy.
Speaker 4 (47:58):
I catch you to bed time. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
I mean, I don't really like answering strangers phone calls either,
but we're glad that you did. My name is Fredam
calling from the Fred Show, the Morning radio show, and
I have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now and I would need your permission to
continue with the call. Can you you can hang up
or you know whatever you want? Is that cool?
Speaker 11 (48:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
No, that's good, we can continue.
Speaker 12 (48:20):
All right?
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Well, thank you. I'm calling on behalf of a dude
who reached out to us. His name is Justin. I
guess you guys went on a date recently, met on
I think one of the apps.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
Do you remember this guy?
Speaker 3 (48:30):
Yes, yeah, I remember Justin. We did meet on one
of the apps.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
Okay, well, he called us and he had nice things
to say about you, and he said that he was
really happy to meet you and thought the date went well.
He says that he has not heard from you since
the date. I guess he's reached out tried to plan
something and you're unavailable, not around.
Speaker 4 (48:46):
What's going on? Why are you ignoring him?
Speaker 3 (48:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 19 (48:49):
So, you know, we went to this place, we went
off for brunch, and we were talking for a while
and then out of nowhere, he asked to see my ID,
and you know, it caught me off guard.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
And I was like, why do you want to see
my ID?
Speaker 20 (49:03):
And then it follows up with, well, you look really young,
and I'm just trying to catch a pedophile case.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
I mean, what like what exactly? Not a word to
use on a first date in any context. And I'm
not the world's best dater, but I think, I know,
do you look? Are you really young looking? I mean,
if you've gotten that before, I mean.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
I'm in my thirties, but I guess, thank you.
Speaker 20 (49:35):
I mean, every time I go to the liquor store,
they don't ask to see my ID. Every time I
buy tobacco, they don't ask to see my ID.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
I hard anyone on a date before, like you. That's
what I'm saying, miss scan your ID. See what's going on?
It was, yeah, so weird. I think he's watching too
many of those videos online of these predators being caught
or something.
Speaker 4 (49:55):
And why is he.
Speaker 2 (49:55):
Sot me let me bring Justiny? And I forgot to
mention the justice here? Why are you so sensitive about
her age?
Speaker 1 (50:01):
I mean, no, I don't think it was that weird.
Speaker 4 (50:06):
I mean, I look, I.
Speaker 8 (50:07):
Think it's better to be safe than sorry.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
I mean honestly, I like, but I mean to say
to someone on the first day, can I see your idea?
I'm not trying to catch a case, like, why have you?
Have you gotten close to that before? I mean that
seems like a very pointed thing.
Speaker 9 (50:23):
Though, No, no, do you belong to any online registries?
Speaker 4 (50:29):
Two feet of a school?
Speaker 3 (50:31):
Okay?
Speaker 8 (50:32):
Look, I think it's just you've seen it on the
news all the time about people, you know, getting budget
for that kind of thing.
Speaker 20 (50:41):
I mean, I don't know what dear channel he's watching
because I've never seen that.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
I mean, those people typically are online asking for it. Yeah,
it's a different thing. Yeah, yeah, I mean, look, I
think when you when you drop the P word, that
particular P word on a first date, that's a little
bit embracist. It's usually on the topic that we go
and again, your sctivity to that would be sort of
alarming to me, I think, And that's kind of where
(51:06):
you're coming from, right, Lucy, like, oh oh wow?
Speaker 20 (51:09):
Yeah, Well, you know, he's a sweet guy and we
had a lot of good conversation and I wanted to
see him again. I really did, because I like the
way the conversation flowed. I like what we were talking about.
He looks good. I'm not gonna lie about that. He's
a good looking guy. But then you will drop that
on me. I don't want anything to do with.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
You, dude. Yeah, yeah, I think there's a list of
words you don't use on a first date, and that's
that's certainly on there.
Speaker 20 (51:35):
From my understanding, I wondered if you percent no politics,
no religion, no pedophilia.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
It's the RP and everybody everybody knows.
Speaker 3 (51:51):
At finances don't talk about that, Okay.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
I would would. What were you saying justin I don't
know why I'm letting you talk about go ahead.
Speaker 8 (52:04):
I was just I was saying it so there wouldn't
be any misunderstanding about that kind of stuff, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 2 (52:10):
But who wasn't who misunderstand Okay, okay, so let me
ask the question, Lucy. The guy was he was just
double checking his work over here. He was just making
sure everything was on the up and up, I guess.
And so I think you've already said it, but I'll
ask the questions so we're clear. Would you like to
go out with Justin again? We'll pay for it and
he'll not. Well, we're all clear on our identities and things.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
Yeah, no, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Okay, she's good, Justin. Yeah, I don't, I don't. I'm
not sure what to say. I just don't.
Speaker 4 (52:43):
Well, look, I.
Speaker 8 (52:44):
Just think it's you know, I guess I'm a bad
guy for making sure that you know that everything is
all good and and you know, you know I was.
Speaker 16 (52:53):
I was just trying to be a good guy.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Exactly like what I think.
Speaker 20 (53:02):
For future reference, if there's ever a girl out there
who wants to go out with this guy hydr Id
and if he asks for it, get up and go,
get up and go.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
All right, Well there's your PSA thank you so much,
Lucy justin good luck to you all.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
Yeah, you guys too.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
And one's entertainer report he's on the press show.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
Oh boy, nurse, he's drunk and losing it again.
Speaker 5 (53:25):
Singer Zach Bryan is a huge Eagles fan, if you
didn't know, and he was teasing a Kansas City Chiefs
fan on Twitter or X over there failed attempt at
a three peet in the Super Bowl, which sparked a
whole wave of angry replies from Chiefs fans. After a while,
he hopped back on X and responded, please understand that
(53:45):
I will never play in Kansas City again, which is
a little dramatic. He then a fan asked him to
remove the live version of his song Fifth of May,
recorded in Kansas City from one of his albums, and
he said done, but I checked and it was still
on there, so I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
He didn't stop there.
Speaker 5 (54:05):
He said, Bro, all you have to do to piss
off Chiefs fans is play a fair game of football.
So I know all of Kansas City is morning today
because they will never get him a performance of Zach
Bryan ever again.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Because I'm sure that that will stand true.
Speaker 5 (54:18):
Kelly Clarkson's daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show is
officially returning this fall for its seventh season, with new
episodes set to air in September's played a very challenging year,
including temporarily stepping away from her show to care for
her children and ailing ex husband Brandon Blackstock, who we
heard recently passed away and postponing her Vegas residency.
Speaker 3 (54:39):
She had vocal court issues.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
She is going to try and get back to normal
after making sure that her kids are good.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
And this one, you just have to laugh.
Speaker 5 (54:48):
Sean Diddy Cohnes longtime attorney Mark Gerago says the rapper
would consider becoming a Trump supporter overnight if he pardons him.
He also said that the two and have a bond
since both of them have been tried criminally and federally.
Speaker 16 (55:03):
Now.
Speaker 5 (55:04):
Ditty is currently a waiting sentencing on prostitution prostitution charges
after being acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking, and Trump
has made it clear multiple times that he will only
pardon his supporters, allow the chrislies, and he did mention
that he won't pardon Ditty because he has been critical
of him in the past. So now Didty is essentially
saying I'm down to be a supporter, which, okay, all right.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
He's gonna try one thing about Didty. He's gonna try
to get out of jail.
Speaker 5 (55:30):
And you know what, I always say that people in
jail don't want to be there anymore.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
That he didn't wow, wow, I know.
Speaker 4 (55:36):
I'm knit out a pillow.
Speaker 3 (55:37):
I know, and people inhale won't ice water. Okay, period,
I need that crochet immediately. By the way, if you.

a suburban thing, you know, Like my husband worked on
the lawn and like.
Speaker 4 (56:35):
Oh wow, weekend, got the mower out.
Speaker 3 (56:38):
Yeah, the mower was out. And the thing that does
what do you call that thing?
Speaker 4 (56:43):
What the edge?
Speaker 3 (56:44):
Yes, the edging, Yes, the engine.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
The edge is very satisfying. I will say that, not
being edged, but the very No did I edge? Well yeah,
in that regard, I when I was mowing the lawn.
When when I mowed the lawn. But my mom said
I didn't mow the lawn. That's an entire era of
my life that she claims never happened. But I absolutely did.
(57:10):
And I was not a very good edger. But it
was very satisfying. Really, yeah, take that out of context.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Care for your health savings account. That's amazing. I wonder
what that thing.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Was for people just show up to your houses or like,
how does that work? In a lawn service?
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
I don't have a lawn service. You don't know. I
live at a high rise. Do I have a lawn service?
Think about that for a second. Of course I do
have a lawn service.
Speaker 12 (01:02:16):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
I don't have a lawn Well, Probby is my lawn service.
Speaker 10 (01:02:20):
I like cutting the grass like it's therapeutic for me.
It's very satisfying. One hundred degrees outside and it's miserable,
but like you kind of get your steps in and
you get to look at it after and be like, yeah,
I did that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
It's like vacuuming. It's it's carpeting.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
Demand.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
It's channel on the free iet radio app if you
search Fresh one Demand j Lo in Vegas. Right, yeah,
she has a new residence. You could be a little
cricket that was calling up her neck. Wherever they were calling.
You could be calling up jay Loo too. Oh you
know what I mean? And that was something I would
be so freaked down. I don't like. I don't do crickets.
I don't do insects. I don't. I don't like it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
No, I probably have to burn the whole place down.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
It's on me. If I've had a.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Cricket in my house, there's no reason for it to
be a creator. Well, I'm side from that lawn. I
have them on the balcony of a high rise.
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Do you have a lot or not? Now you're cutting
the grass?
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
No, No, you should see it. It's beautiful what I
do with it, and all the bushes I have in
my high run.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
You're going your balcony. Ever, I wonder that about you
sometimes you have chairs up.
Speaker 12 (01:03:21):
What do you do?
Speaker 15 (01:03:21):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
I have a well, I have a girl. I don't
know if that's legal. I don't know if that's like
a I don't know if you're supposed to have it
like a flammable object on the balcony, but I do
and I use that sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
Oh nice.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
And then a lot of people don't know this, but
they are flying insects and they attach themselves to the
side of the building. And it happens in the summertime.
They come off the lake, they fly in the air.
It's just crazy, and they make little webs and then
they spiders do and then they catch other little things.
It's a man, I'm out there every day like fighting
for my life with these spiders. I don't like spiders.
And then do you ever try and like get rid
of a spider, and then you feel like the spider's
(01:03:54):
on you somewhere for the rest of the day. Like
I'm convinced it's like in my hair, on my body somewhere.
I'm sure this is psychological condition that's responsible for them.
Speaker 4 (01:04:02):

Hey, Grasshopper stole the show?
Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Right show, it's the honorable Kikilik. Judge Kiki take.
Speaker 9 (01:06:05):
It away, all right, let's get into the courtroom. The
gabble has been hit. It says Kiki. Am I wrong
for telling a mom her daughter deserved to be left
out because she's a bully. My daughter's been relentlessly bullied
at school and in her summer gymnastics league by my
neighbor's daughter. The kid is a terrorist from name calling,
physical attacks, the works. But my kid has come home
(01:06:28):
crying multiple times. So I've talked to her parents, who
always make excuse excuses, and the school. I've talked to
them too, but nothing changes. I finally told my daughter
she can defend herself if needed, and for her birthday,
I bought shriek bags and party invites for her gymnastics class.
I brought them for everyone except for the bully. At
(01:06:50):
the end of the class, I told everyone to stay.
Then when the bully approached me and her mom, I said, oh,
you two can leave.
Speaker 3 (01:06:58):
This isn't for your kid.
Speaker 9 (01:07:00):
Her mom exploded, calling my kid a punk, and then
stormed out. The instructor lectured me on fairness, but I
think it's time that the bully feels what she dishes out.
Some parents say I cross the line, but I want
you guys to tell me am I wrong? Yeah, soney,
(01:07:22):
I know I need. I need the jury away in
because I know I'm going to be off on this
one because.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
I grew up.
Speaker 9 (01:07:26):
Are you though up in a house where it was like,
don't come in here crying about no bully. If somebody
is bullying you, you need to meet them where they're
at and I will leave it at that, and then
you come back and tell me how you met them
where they at and that's it. You know, it was
very much go handle your bully, and.
Speaker 4 (01:07:45):
She handled this.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
And I know that bullying has gone to a different
level now we've talked about this before with social media
and all. You know, it's just like it's never ending.
As were when we were younger, there was less of
that and it was more just you know, you had
to deal with them one on one at school, on
the place ground, whatever it was. At the same time, though,
you know that aside, I also think you can't ignore
(01:08:06):
all bullying because then your kids grow up and they
into adults to get bullied by other adults because it
happens all the time as grown ups and they're not
equipped to handle that. Like some amount of that you
have to learn how to deal with as a human being,
because people are not nice. Now people bullied. You know,
there are bullies all over the place, and you're not
(01:08:26):
going to avoid them, so you can't just hide from
them or make them go away or quit your job
every time. So I get that, but I don't know,
what do you think.
Speaker 9 (01:08:36):
I thought it was brilliant and very petty to have,
you know, you announced to the entire gymnastics class. Everybody
stay back, everybody stay behind. I have treats for all
the children, and then you line up all the kids
and then right when this little girl comes to the
front of the line, you're like, oh, honey, not you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:53):
You know, you could go bye. That was slowed down.
That was but it was kind of brilliant.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Yeah, but it's like, yeah, is there a different way
to handle it? You know, likely I mean, not ignore
it by any means, but like all the kids get
treated the same, and then you handle it with the parent.
Maybe what I think if it's like way out of control,
because I mean, every every parent listening now is like raw, raie,
I want to beat up the kid that is mean
to my kid. But at the same time, you know,
(01:09:21):
returning fire in the same way.
Speaker 4 (01:09:22):
Is that is that really right?
Speaker 9 (01:09:24):
The right thing to do, because I don't think to
beat a bully, you don't become a bully, right, you
don't become a bully, but you do confront a bully.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
If that makes sense. Yeah, I think there's.
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
A parenting crisis right now happening where people aren't, you know,
really teaching their children certain things.
Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
And that's just my hot take.
Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
I do feel that if your child is a bully,
I think that's something that you and you we are
a parent who know your child is the bully, like
don't play with me like you didn't, you know, And
as a parent, I think that's something that you need
to step in on, Like I would never allow my
daughter to ever bully another child. I've seen my best
friend get bullied, you know, growl up, Like I don't
like that. I ride for that hard, and that's something
(01:10:03):
that I don't I think that we're not doing a
good job. We're throwing iPads at kids and letting them
say what they want to do what they want access
social media, like you mentioned Fred, things are different now
when it comes to bullying. When we were a kid,
what like you took my lunch money? I don't know,
but the parent calling the kid a punk. The parents
say that to a kid, that tells you where it's coming.
He that tells you there's no account of ability.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
Again, it starts at home.
Speaker 6 (01:10:23):
So I'm really big on that, And I don't know,
like I wouldn't want my kids bully at the birthday
party either. Now the parents need to figure this out
and not name callic you said, don't do any of that.
I think there's ways to handle it. It's just it's
not with the kids like it's between the adults at
that point.
Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
That's my opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
Hey Joe, yes, all right, you guys are the jury
eight five five five N one one three five.
Speaker 4 (01:10:44):
What do you what say you?
Speaker 16 (01:10:47):
I say you that she did the right thing.
Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Hmm, okay, daughter.
Speaker 16 (01:10:52):
My daughter was bullied for a little while and we
kind of did the same thing with me and my wife.
We we kind of brushed it on their rugs. It's
not a big deal. It's your friends. You guys are girls.
You'll be friends again in a week, it'll be over with.
But it didn't. And we told her to stand up
for herself, and when she did, they started to back
off and the parents got concerned. And we hadn't mentioned
(01:11:13):
to the parents that listen, we've brought this to your
attention multiple times, even to the school. Like I even
told my daughter, like I will deal with the school,
don't worry about it. And I had a long conversation
with the principal. But I had to explain to our
daughter that you know, if you let this happen now,
it's going to continue to happen and all through high
school and everything, and you have to just put it
(01:11:34):
in the button. I don't go pull off, you know,
beating her up and assaulting her and stuff. But you know,
at the same time, you have to defend yourself and
stand your ground because you know, even in middle school
it can get worse.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Yeah, true, Yeah, I mean we uh yeah, it's tricky
because I mean I want to say, as far as
the kids are concerned, killing with kindness almost as if
the bullying doesn't matter, Like you don't really have a voice,
you're not really influencing my decisions. But at the same
time it is and you wanted to stop. But then
the retaliation bullying, what does that accomplish.
Speaker 4 (01:12:08):
I mean, I'm not saying yeah, no, I'm saying this.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
I'm not saying no, but that's what this that's what
they did the mom and that that's what they did.
Speaker 16 (01:12:18):
Yeah, I mean it feels and I guess I can
understand where they're coming from, right, because if you try
multiple things and you have tied them with kindness, kill
them with kindness before and it doesn't work. I mean,
you know, we don't know what kind of bullying was
going on, whether it was physical, whether it was social
media media type bulliant. You know, there's so much now.
For we were kids, it was just you got picked
(01:12:40):
on and that was it. There's so much type of
bullying now that it mentally, I literally see it every
day mentally affect people that they probably said, we can't
do this anymore. Let's do this instead of doing something physical.
Let's start with this and see if this works. Before
they resulted and you know, the child hitting them and
then them up to themselves and hating them back, maybe
(01:13:02):
let's not invite them to the party so they can
kind of get a little taste of how it feels,
and maybe that right there will change their attitude. But
I don't think it did.
Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
Hi, Joe, thank you, have a good day you as well.
Speaker 16 (01:13:13):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
Glad you called.
Speaker 6 (01:13:14):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Rico. Yeah, hey, I'm going on Rico. Hey man, So
you were you were the bully?
Speaker 11 (01:13:21):
I was, Yeah, I was. I regret it. I regret
it a hundred times fold, really, I do. And no,
and then like I don't know, one day, I don't know,
I started defending one of one of the people that
I was making fun of, and I was like, I
kind of beat them up a little bit. I got
(01:13:43):
funded from the bug. How do you kind of beat
up a little bit? I'm just kidding, how do you
kind of beat them up? But anyway, you know, just
like I don't know, just a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
I just read him up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
Yeah, okay, a little bit. But then you switch side
though you saw the light?
Speaker 13 (01:14:04):
I did, Yeah, I did, and and and now that
I look back on it, I'm like, I regret that
one hundred times fold. And I'm just like, these people
aren't are they They're not geeks. They're they're they're really
cool people. Yeah, you know, yes, no, And then well
the thing is, so the thing is, I actually became
one of them. I became a geek.
Speaker 11 (01:14:24):
I wasn't in the band. Also, I was a bank geek.
Speaker 3 (01:14:28):
See how things turn.
Speaker 4 (01:14:31):
One day, one day, somebody up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
The next day you're you're the guy right right right,
But hey, you saw you you saw that it wasn't right,
and that's that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:14:41):
Good for you, man. Hey have a good day. Yeah, yeah,
I love you guys. Yeah all right, no, thank you.
You can continue with the compliments.
Speaker 11 (01:14:51):
But I know.
Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
He saw the light, he saw the other said, because
you know what I mean, you're growing up and people
bully you, and you'll come home and your parents will
be like, you know, that's more about them than it is.
Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
It's about you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
And you know, I don't know all these all these
cliche things that may be true, they don't help at
the time, but the fact is this is going to
be present your whole life.
Speaker 12 (01:15:11):
It is.
Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
I mean, to this day, we all still deal with bullies,
people who think they're more important than they are, people
who you know, say mean things and then hide whatever
is it's it's it's never going to end, so you
have to be.
Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
Equipped to deal with it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
In some regard, I would agree it's worse now than
it's ever been, because it's it's it's relentless, you know,
from all different angles, and you can hide behind screen
names and accounts and whatever. But I don't know that
my parents ever would have My parents definitely they were
kids they didn't like and and you know I knew that,
but I don't know that they were going to treat
the kids that way because what message does that send, right,
(01:15:46):
I mean, it's it's retaliation bullying essentially. I don't know.
I mean, there are parents listening. Now, I'm sure going good,
good for that mom, But then would you really do that?
Speaker 4 (01:15:56):
I'm not sure, Stacy, Hi.
Speaker 18 (01:15:59):
Hi, Hi?
Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
So are you a parent?
Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:16:02):
I am, okay?
Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
So would you would you retaliate on a bully? Like
if your son or daughter came home and like in
this case, it said this person is being mean to me,
would you then get involved?
Speaker 18 (01:16:13):
Yes? Well, that's why I actually give the parents a
round of applause for calling out the bully, because the
parents these days with the generation, don't teach their kids
any type of respect. And if you want to live
in this society, you got to have some kind of
you know, thank you, please and all that other stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
But what are you.
Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Teaching, Stacy If everybody gets a treat except for the
one kid, You know, what are you saying? Essentially? I mean,
you're saying that it's okay to a bully, right.
Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
Being a bully.
Speaker 18 (01:16:45):
If you want to live in the society, then have
some type of mental stability to let you be in
the society with everybody else, because nowadays, with people like that,
you don't want to bring them in your thing though
not knowing if they don't have any type of mental issues,
and if they're going to come and shoot up your party, well.
Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
That's that's what we're talking about cubcakes here, which abut
shooting things up.
Speaker 4 (01:17:05):
I mean, hopefully no one.
Speaker 18 (01:17:06):
Hear where it ends up leaving, because that's where it
ends up leeding too, because they want to start saying
that they get depressed because people leave them out because
they're being bullies, you know, and then when they start
being depressed and they start thinking about harming theirself.
Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Okay, all right, Stacy, Well thank you, have a good day.
I mean, dad took a turn.
Speaker 3 (01:17:26):
And turned into an episode of me.
Speaker 8 (01:17:31):
I don't know, I.
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
Guess from my perspective, as as somebody who I don't know,
not everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:17:37):
I was kind of middle of the road.
Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
I mean, there were people that made fun of me
because I was obsessed with radio and said it would
never happen, and I don't know, you're you're a door
for that, And then there were people that were nice
to me.
Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
I was right in the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
But I guess at the time my parents retaliating wouldn't
have helped a whole lot of If anything, their message
was not killing with kindness, which is easy to say,
but it's almost like by by not giving her a
treat or not giving her not including here and with
the rest of the group, you're essentially saying you're on
you got under my skin, I don't like you, and
and and I'm.
Speaker 4 (01:18:07):
You affected me.
Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
And I think to a certain extent, if you can
learn to rise above it, it's almost like here with
a smile, everybody knows the person who's mean to you,
and you're still kind to them even though you don't
like them. And I know that it's so crushing inside
for the person who you're still nice to even when
they're mean to you, and I think there's something to
be It's almost like I'm teaching you that that person's
(01:18:31):
words don't matter and that you'll just continue to give
good energy. But if I don't know, if my mom
comes down there and solves my problems for me, what
is that?
Speaker 4 (01:18:39):
What am I learning from that?
Speaker 3 (01:18:40):
I think you're sending the wrong message.
Speaker 15 (01:18:41):
Though.
Speaker 6 (01:18:41):
If I'm inviting the bully to my birthday party or
my kids birthday party, like I'm rewarding your behavior at
that point, because what everybody gets to come over, it
gets a trophy. I personally don't like that children take
their lives for this kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
I don't play like this. This was like at a class,
wasn't it Like everybody was there?
Speaker 3 (01:18:56):
Yeah, they were in gymnastics class.
Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Yeah. I think you're more than welcome to have a
party in that invite everybody. I think that's fine. I'm
not going to invite the bully to my house, no,
but if it's in front of everybody, I don't know.
I feel like that's probably the message, is what you know?
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
What is getting me though?
Speaker 9 (01:19:11):
The mom of the bully, Like you had the audacity
and the nerve to get in line to get a
treat back, and you know that your child is a bully,
and you know I've confronted you about it before, So like,
bad on you to get in line thinking your kid
deserves something when you know your kid is a bully.
Speaker 2 (01:19:25):
What we all know, what, we all know where it's
coming from them. The lack of awareness means that the
parent is instilling this and the kids exactly, Hey Lena,
you're okay with this and you're a school counselor Oh, yes.
Speaker 22 (01:19:36):
Yes I am. And the reason why I say that
is because the kids nowadays are an entirely different breed
I've been doing this for over six years now, and
I can see the change in the way the kids
interact with each other. And you know, I feel like
it it gives the bully, you know, because when a
kid is being bullied and you know they're the ones
(01:19:58):
that are doing the bullying, they have sense of power.
But I almost feel like what the mom did just
kind of help knock that child down a little bit
and maybe hopefully in the future they won't continue to
do the same behavior.
Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
Yeah. No, I see both sides of this.
Speaker 2 (01:20:13):
I mean, I know what I would want to do
as a parent, and I want to kick the little
kid's ass. Yeah, But at the same time that I
have to think, like, Okay, what what is the lesson
I'm teaching? What am I instilling in my kid? Am
I saying that I'll just I'll be there for every
every difficult situation that my kids in and I'll fix
it because I won't be you know. And again, it's
not like this was in front of everybody. This was
(01:20:35):
It wasn't as though this was at my house and
that we were required to invite a kid.
Speaker 4 (01:20:39):
No, we weren't.
Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Like this was in a thing that we're all involved
with together, and one of the kids is a little jerk,
and I feel like there's always going to be a little.
Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
Jerk for sure.
Speaker 22 (01:20:49):
Yeah, I definitely I can see both sides one d percent.
But I don't know, I feel like the Mama Bear
and me definitely would have been like, Okay, no, we
need to take you down a little bit. But I
do think that, you know, I have a feeling that
they're not going to have any issues with that kid
anymore though, and hopefully, you know, things will get better.
Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Yeah. I hope so too. Thank you, Lena. All Right,
have a good day.
Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
I'm glad you called. Hey, Michelle, Hi, Michelle Kicky's Court.
So basically, it's a it's a bullying situation in a
gymnastics class and there was a party of some kind
and the kid being bullied gave that little treats to
everybody except the and the mom, except for the kid
who was the bully, And then the bully's mom got
(01:21:37):
involved and it was sort of this tussle.
Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
Well, I mean, what do you think.
Speaker 21 (01:21:43):
I mean, as somebody that I saw a bullying around me,
I just have a question about that. Other people that
witnessed it. Bullying usually doesn't happen online closed doors. It
happened in front of other people, in front of coaches,
in front of other kids. Like, it also comes down
to the people that witnessed it. How is that not complacency?
(01:22:04):
So I guess it just comes down to I guess yes,
I think it could have been helpful because it puts
the bully in the place. But it's it's kind of
chicken or the egg, which one comes first. It really
comes down to what about the community around that watched
it happen?
Speaker 4 (01:22:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:22:24):
The mom says she's spoken to everyone, the school administrator,
she went to the parents, and nobody's taking her please seriously, So.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
She's like, okay, I'll take matters into my own hands.
Speaker 4 (01:22:33):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
Teammates, So one of the other kids that standing up.
Speaker 16 (01:22:39):
Those that were being bullied around me?
Speaker 9 (01:22:43):
This seems like young kids. Yeah, and the gymnastics. I
don't know. I wouldn't put the the responsibility on the
other kids. I've already approached the parents and the adults
in the situation.
Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
So yeah, yeah, thank you, Michelle, have a good day.
Speaker 21 (01:22:55):
Thanks you too.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Uh Antonio, Hey, go ahead, how you doing and tell
you don't.
Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
Agree with me? I gotta go.
Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Sorry, thanks for calling. Now, what do you want to say?
Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
I get where you're going with it.
Speaker 12 (01:23:10):
I'm a parent of three, and I don't want to
call it revenge bullying because it's really hard to get
kids to stand up for themselves when it's like not
naturally in them. As she mentioned, it's something that's happened
at school, it's happened at gymnastics, and it's became physical.
Most people would have been lost it at that point,
and even me personally, I'm a challenge to parent at
that point. I need to see what's going on and
(01:23:33):
if you're not going to correct your child, I'm going
to correct your child. And I thought that was very gentle,
a very gentle response. And for it, that's a Fox move. Baby,
you out smarter them. You don't get physical, you're out
smarter them. That's a Fox move.
Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
Well, but I agree with you that, like, let's have
the conversation among parents, and as hard as it is
to do and as much as I don't necessarily always
do this in my life and would like to, the
killing's kindest thing is the move, because what you're saying
to the bully kid or adult is that you are
not getting under my skin, Like I'm going to continue
to be nice to you because we're not and it's.
Speaker 4 (01:24:08):
Hard to do.
Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
But like if I still give you this present, like
everybody else or whatever, it's just like, at what point
do they get bored and move on to somebody else and.
Speaker 12 (01:24:17):
They didn't and attack them or antagonize them. It's just
more you don't deserve to be there. And we have
a writer's people. Especially as the mom said, I know
that she went a little off the richter with the
school shooting, but that happens. I've been in a situation
where my kid was at a school and this kid
like that, that's nothing nobody wants to ever be a
part of. We don't know where it starts, so we
(01:24:40):
have to be proactive and not reactive in them situations.
And I'll tell you get stressed anxiety, like to be
around somebody who treats mistreats you. That's a very uncomfortable
situation for an adult. That's crazy off the chart for
a kid. And like I say, I agree with what
you're saying as far as like we don't want that
to be teddy hypocritical. It can't get that's a fine line,
(01:25:00):
So I remember what you're saying.
Speaker 16 (01:25:02):
But I thought, as a dad.
Speaker 12 (01:25:03):
That was just because I don't have that in me
like that, So I thought that was really.
Speaker 4 (01:25:06):
Clever, you know. Yeah, no, see, I know what I'd
like to do.
Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
I just would hope I wouldn't do it because I'm
not sure, Antonio.
Speaker 4 (01:25:12):
Everyone knows what you do.
Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
You smile to their face, and you get online with
a fake screen name and you say that you know,
the mom's got drugs in her house. She called the cops,
get the docs, and me get the SWAT team out there.
Everyone knows what that's how you handle it. Calin's entertainment
report is on the Bread Show.
Speaker 5 (01:25:27):
A grasshopper is now going viral after landing on Jlo's
neck while she was performing in Kazakhstan, which is.
Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Not a sentence I thought I'd say.
Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
Video shows j Lo in this tight little body suit
that laces up in the front, with the little guy
slowly crawling up as she's singing very emotionally. Eventually he
lands on her neck. She then calmly grabs it and
in true showbiz fashion, she like tosses it off with
like an arm dance move, and then like brings it
back in as if it was like a five six
(01:25:55):
seven eight moment.
Speaker 3 (01:25:56):
She said, simply, it was tickling me.
Speaker 5 (01:25:58):
And now the grasshopper is going viral while we are talking,
or we were talking about it off air, and I
did like google if this means anything for j Loo,
because we stay worried about j Lo, and it says
in some cultures crickets symbolized good luck, prosperity, and intuition.
They're associated with positive omens and are scene as symbols
(01:26:19):
of abundance and happiness.
Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
So Jlo needs that. So oh this might be the turn.
Speaker 15 (01:26:23):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
So I was wondering, like, oh, is this really bad
for her? But hopefully the cisterns things around the video
too if they want to see it.
Speaker 5 (01:26:30):
Okay, perfect, Fred Show Radio, all right, thank you very
I'm the bird crabbing on you is good luck.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
I'm like, but I got bird crab on me. Yeah,
they luck in the world, but I got bird. This
is not Yeah, this is not a good situation.
Speaker 5 (01:26:42):
I think that's just people trying to make us feel
better when that happens. This was posted like a half
an hour ago, and I have to tell you guys,
So Travis Kelcey collaborated with the New Heights podcast Instagram
and they said they are coming back early with a
very special guest Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
Jason. Take a look at this outline of this woman.
Do you think that is? It could be mother? It
might be mother. It looks as if it is her hair.
Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
But they did.
Speaker 5 (01:27:11):
They better not do it again because we will be pissed.
But Wednesday at seven pm. It looks like her curly hair.
Why would it only be Travis and their Instagram. It's
not Jason, He's not collaborated.
Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
So it could be mother. We will find out in
a couple.
Speaker 4 (01:27:27):
Of Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (01:27:30):
I'll be so pissed.
Speaker 2 (01:27:31):
Yeah, I love you, but I see you every day.
Speaker 5 (01:27:36):
Tom Brady statue was unveiled Friday night before the Patriots
exhibition opener against the Commanders. During his speech, Brady saved
his best for the rival New York Jets.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
He said, this statue isn't just for Pats fans.
Speaker 5 (01:27:48):
It'll also give all the Jets fans something to throw
their beers at as they leave the stadium every year,
probably in the second quarter of course, as you know,
three times NFL MVP, five time Super Bowl MVP, seven times,
I'm NFL champ. He retired in twenty twenty three as
the league's most dedicated player ever, holding records in dozens
of categories, and they inducted him. The Pats did into
(01:28:10):
their Hall of Fame last year, waiving the usual four
year waiting period, and retired his jersey number.
Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
So if you love Tom Brady, that one's for you
and really quick.
Speaker 5 (01:28:19):
Fantastic four was denied a three peat or threesome as
Pauline would call it at the box office over the
weekend as the new release Weapons took in forty two
point five million dollars for the first time. Freakinger Friday
came in second, and then Fantastic four First Steps, Bad
Guys to a Naked Gun, which I think they thought
I was going to do a lot better, but it didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:28:40):
So want womp.
Speaker 5 (01:28:42):

Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
Did you know that before we had toilet paper, Americans
used corn husks to wipe our booties and before that,
this is even worse. What are The Romans used a
sea sponge stuck to the end of a stick. It
was kept in a bucket of salt water or vinegar.
Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
I know some people that still need that.
Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
I got more fresh show next
