and the only one I know of it as a child.
Let's say of you have any sort of love children
that you've come around I told us about I think
I will some weight, but not you. No, it's possibly.
(00:53):
You know, stranger things have happened. Yeah, you know these
people that are like, oh I was pregnant. I didn't know.
It's like I don't know how but or there would
be signs. But anyway, there's a woman now who is
complaining that which one of these Pepper Pig, Peppa Pig
is rude, and Peppa Pig is teaching her children to
(01:14):
be rude. And apparently there's a phrase or a phrase
that Pepper Pig is using that really bothers or listen
to this. She's very mad about this, and she has
eight hundred thousand people watching this on TikTok.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Warning to all parents who let their children, specifically toddlers
that watch Pepper Pig. I didn't listen to everyone saying like, oh,
Pepper Pig's rude, this, this, this, this, and my son
watches Pepper Pig. And then maybe like a month ago,
he started going around to everyone saying like, you're not
my best friend.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
You're not my best friend.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
And he was saying it quite often, and I kept
saying to him, like, where are you learning this, Like
that's not nice to say to someone like you're not.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
My best friend.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
You're not allowed to say that anymore, and he stops
saying it. Anyway, right now, I'm just sitting on the
couch and Kay is watching Pepper Pek, and then I
hear Pepper Peek saying, you're.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Not my best friend anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
And I look at the TV and I look at Kia,
and I've literally just turned off Pepper Pek, and I'm like,
you don't know how to watch Pepper Pi anymore.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
You can't watch Pepper pick anymore. They can't. You know,
we're not gonna be able to do it.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
And and you know we can't all be like Kayline
with thirty seven best friends. Okay, I don't maybe you're
not my best friend. Best friend is the highest.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Honor, exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't know that I have a problem with it.
I don't know that problem.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I guess it's not necessary for the kids to like
repeat it over and over again to like everybody that
the meats. But nonetheless, I mean, I think these are
life lessons. Okay, you know, not everyone's gonna be your
best friend. You don't have to announce it to everyone.
But this is my question eight five five, five nine
one three five. But the parents who are awake and whatever,
I know a lot of kids are in school, which
means parents are asleep.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
We've figured that out.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
But I don't know of these shows that you're playing
for Gigi. Are there any you're like this, This isn't
highly annoying or actually maybe not all that good for
my kid.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
So I'm a big miss Rachel standyez no bad. I
hope she gets like a Nobel Peace Prize one day.
I'm at the Noble Peace Price. Yes, Noble Peace Price. Okay,
we're Nobel Peace. Yeah, Noble Noble. She should get that
one too. They're both valuable and icon. She's taught my
kids so many things, like we sing songs together, like
she taught her signlingg which all I got to learn
sign language because my kid's talking to me and I'm
(03:26):
learning as much more. Yeah, the more thing that we
do a little Spanish, because I don't Fred you're big
on the Spanish now, MS must.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Love that's long, but you know sanol.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
Oy yep, she'll do the sign language and we'll do
it a little bit in Spanish. But honestly, I think
I'm the worst show for her to watch because I
she's repeating bad words now because I say them out loud.
So now we're in that phase like that influence forget
about Pepa Pig and how My husband was like, are
you going to stop? Like she's repeating it and saying
it clear as day?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
What was it? Os? Is her favorite?
Speaker 6 (04:00):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Does she use it properly?
Speaker 6 (04:02):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:03):
Beautifully like if she drops yes, never been done like
beautiful total to me, I am just like now I
had a chill, so like the show's luckily nothing is
really you know, gotten her crazy, but I have like
I think I'm the bad show.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
I found myself cussing in front of my niece's this
weekend too, because it just so easily flows out.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I'm not used to being around children.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Me too.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
People don't invite me to be around their children, but
you know, it's a that's a common thing, so I
am allowed to be around children. For the record, I
just want to be clear. I can live near school
and everything. It's everything's fine. No, I'm not in any
kind of list. The words were just flowing, and I
find myself just going, oh no, because Polly Polly would
absolutely repeat I mean, she is a she is a
(04:46):
little girl, like she's forming thoughts and sentences and repeating things,
and you know, so we don't need that. But but
I was just curious if anyone else had the same
feeling about Peppa Pig if Peppa Pig was ruining the
world because in the comments it was like Blue would.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Never you know, Louie is top tier. We like Blue
in this house.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Louie is top tier.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Yeah, I feel like Bluie's got humor that like we
would like as adults too, Like we enjoy it. So
you can watch it with your niece Polly and you'll giggle,
you'll laugh, you'll understand.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
You guys can bond Pepa pick. I've never been a
fan of Peppa Pich.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Polly has to be there for me to watch it.
I can.
Speaker 8 (05:20):
Friday, my mom b and my sister from watching SpongeBob
because she felt like it was too adult, which it
kind of is.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
It is though, isn't it it is?
Speaker 8 (05:30):
But still I was like, you're no fun lady. Let
her watch SpongeBob.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
No. I remember growing up when I thought Beavis and
butt heead was not only the funniest but the like
the edgiest, and it was kind of edgy. But I
would laugh like until I hurt watching that show. And
now and then when they brought it back, I'm like, oh,
this is great. I'm gonna love it, and it just
didn't hit the same.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
No, it didn't hit the same.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I mean it was just so wildly immature and stupid
that I don't know at the time that just felt like,
I can't believe that you can do this that SNL sketch.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Did you see that. It's still one of my favorites.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah, Melissa, So, Pepa Pig has always been rude.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Absolutely, Oh it's always been.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I didn't know that. I had no idea we had
issues with Peppa Pig. What's the issue.
Speaker 7 (06:14):
I don't have any issues. I just didn't let my
kids watch it. But like, there are a lot of
things that she does that are absolutely rude or just
completely not on point. But the point is here, Like
being a parent, you have to step in and either
watch it with them and teach them as you go,
or turn it off and do something else together. I
(06:34):
know as a parent, I have four kids, they're ten, eight, three,
and one. It's hard to incorporate that together time. But like,
paying attention to what they're watching sometimes can benefit you
in the long time. In the long term, like I
won't let my kids to watch what is It? Vlad
(06:55):
and Nikki?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
They're rude.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
Oh yeah, people are mad about were saying Kyu's low
by absolute.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Apparently he's the people are saying this is terrible. What
are we teach?
Speaker 7 (07:17):
It's okay?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
All right, well, thank you Melissa. That that's the great advice.
Be present. Everyone should be present today, Have a good day.
I love YouTube. What'd you called? Hey, Evelyn? Hi Evelyn?
So YouTube is a whole we can't we can't let
the kids use YouTube.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
Yeah, so it was it's actually YouTube kids that she
was able to find it on. But she was She's
like just rolling through it and she was having really
bad night terrors and we couldn't figure out why. And
I just hear like this man telling her that there
was going to be monsters in her class.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Whoa, whoa what that? Wow? What did she wind up
stumbling on?
Speaker 7 (07:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (07:59):
It was like it's just like it looks like a
Coco melon show, but it was just like not, I guess.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
It was just really creepy.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Yeah, YouTube kids as Wow, you have to watch it?
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Well, I mean if YouTube for the kids it's anything
like YouTube for me. I'll start in one place and
I'll wind up in a very very different place. If
I just sort of go on the journey, yep, And
I don't necessarily know that I want if it's the
same for kids, I don't. I don't want the kids
to go on that journey. Like let's stick to one topic,
because I'll start here and then I'll wind up on
like police chase videos and then before long I'm watching, Like,
(08:34):
you know, I have no idea war. I don't know,
like it could be very traumatizing because I didn't.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I searched for a Backshit Boys video. Okay, so how.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Did I wind up talking about Israel? I don't know.
I don't.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
I don't know. But it's a journey and kids don't
need to go on it. And I guess I figured
YouTube kids would have that all under control. But you're
saying there's like weird, creepy people sinking in on it.
Speaker 9 (08:56):
Yeah, and like she stumbles upon videos that are like
in different language, and like they're just like scary people
being like zombies and like it's just really weird and
it's hard to watch it because I'm trying to do
something and then I look and then she's on a
video and then she gets mad if I change it.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
So it's just a cold.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I didn't have that now, Evelyn. I've gone off on
this before over the years. I'm not sure if it's
still a thing. But what amazed me is do your
children watch the videos of other kids opening and playing
like unboxing and playing with toys that they don't have.
Speaker 9 (09:30):
My nieces do, but uh, Freya, the one that I'm
talking about is still like she's just about to turn two, Okay,
so she doesn't.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Do that yet.
Speaker 9 (09:41):
But like, my niece was a big like opening toys
and she wanted all the new like topts and the
new fidgets, and she would have like meltdowns over not
getting you know, that's what.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I would say.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
But I went over to one of my friend's houses
a couple of years ago and they're kids watching a
video of a kid who's now like a billionaire. The
kid is because he went viral because he was opening
toys that toy companies would now send him and playing
with them and filming it and then kids would watch it.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
And I was like, this is terrible.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Your kid's gonna want all the toys, and she was like, no, actually,
you know, he's very satisfied just watching this other kid.
Open the toys and play with him. I'm like, that
never would have worked for me. I would have seen
a kid play with toy, be like Mom, I wanted
a toy, and then she would have had to say no,
you know whatever, and there would have been a whole fight.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
But she went. There was a whole generation of kids.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
I guess that was satisfied, that were satisfied watching other
kids play with the toys.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
And I'm like, how does that work?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
I think it's like their reality TV, Like it's their
version of reality TV.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
How we watch other adults play.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
I guess so, Evelyn, thank you so much for Colin.
Have a great day. That never would have worked. Like
even now, I see people like playing with big people
toys like cars and airplanes and vacations and you know
it's going on like a going to amazing places and
singing in first class and I'm going I want that.
Does it satisfy me to watch somebody else that eat
(11:02):
the caviar and on emirates in the in the suite
to take a shower? I want bad? Okay, Brianna, something
else you want? This is so this has become what
where kids can't watch Brianna Hi Kid Dangers Abroad? What
is Kid Danger?
Speaker 10 (11:17):
So it's a show on Nickelodeon that it's a superhero
and a sidekick, but the superhero is in his thirties
and the sidekick is in middle.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Schooler Why Chris Hansen somebody even two.
Speaker 10 (11:36):
It talks about how he, you know, needed a sidekick
and he was putting up these ads in a middle
school and then once you found this kid, he told them, oh,
you can't tell your friends that were hanging out your parents.
And it got very questionable and absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
This is Nickelodeon.
Speaker 10 (11:55):
It is on Nickelodeon so presently and were and so
they're still doing.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
When I was a kid, the worst thing of Nickelodeon
was Family Double There because they had a family and
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
So it was.
Speaker 10 (12:06):
It was trying to get kids to not talk to
their families about things they shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Be Why.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Just messed up, Brionna, thank you have a good day?
Yeah yeah, No, it's Family Double Dare And it was like, oh,
that must be cool. There's a mom and a dad
and they st right, there's not a restraining order.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
The car they're competing for a trip to you.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Know, Disney Orlando, they get to go in Disney World
and have a good time together, like that must be nice. Yeah,
But then here's the other and this is kind of
an offshoot of this. But I remember it was a
year or two ago there were the there was a
documentary about Nickelodeon.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Oh yeah, Quiet on the Sand and how twisted it was.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
So Now like my childhood was ruined because all these
shows that I grew up watching, Now I realized they
were all like treated like you know, meet and like
old men were saying disgusting things to them, and it's
like you're you know, they were just trying to make
a little silly show. And then and then half of
the jokes were supposed to be sexual. Oh yeah on
a lot of these shows. Because he's adults thought that
(13:06):
was funny. I guess I was too immature to pick
up on it, or I don't know what I guess
I didn't realize that, you know, all that or whatever
show I was watching was all like a bunch of
sex jokes for.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Kids, the most pure place it's supposed to.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Be, right right. They all made like four dollars an hour,
and you know, it a terrible This is the pread show.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Let's get you Hoteul a trip for Tunisie Jennifer Lopez

Audio journal is like we're writing in our diaries. Paulina's
got one go.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Thank you so much, dear blog.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
So I am heading on another trip with baby Gigi,
but this time it's a little bit different, right, So
we're going a really short distance. We're going to go
to Detroit, Michigan. Shout out to Kaylin. Usually I would drive.
I've done the drive there, not a pose at the drive,
but I'm just a little nervous with baby being in
the car seat for like four and a half five hours.
So I said, you know what, let's just hop on
this plane. I got a really cheap flight. So I'm
(14:32):
going to go to Detroit, Michigan next month with a
gigi and it's just me and her and a backpack
and a dream. So now my only thing is I'm
a little nervous because I'm by myself, so I have
no you know, my mom, my mother in law, they're
not going obviously they're not on the plane with me.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
My husband's not going to go, so I'm nervous.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
So I was like, well, I saw these hacks on
TikTok where like you pretty much.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I don't know if it's a bribe. We're just a
nice thing to do.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
But you give the the flight crew gifts, right, you
give them treats or gifts or the flight attendants. Oh
is the attendance.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I mean, what I'm wondering is I've seen various versions
of this. I've seen people give flight attendance gifts. In fact,
I've heard that people do this on the regular anyway, Okay,
hand out Starbucks gift cards to the flight attendant when
I get on the plane and any get better service.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Yeah, you mean the people around.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
You and what she up right?
Speaker 2 (15:19):
See what I'm wondering is what I've also seen is
that they give gifts and a little note to the
people all around you in the section, like the people
sitting next to you and the people in the road,
you know, around and it's like, hey, here, this is
for you. Sorry new baby flying, Like if it's if
it's uncomfortable, then this is my gesture to you.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Oh that's sweet.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Okay. So that's what I've heard people do.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Should I do both?
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Though?
Speaker 5 (15:40):
I want to teach Gigi like good manners and like
do cute things with her. So I feel like it'd
be cute if she, you know, she quote gives it
to you know, the attendance of flight attendants and the whoever.
But then obviously, yeah she's crying having meltdowns. I don't
want to, you know, make anybody mad around me. So
I would like to give them gifts. But what do
you do I bake them something? Do I give them
a gift card?
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Will I even get through to you?
Speaker 6 (16:00):
Say?
Speaker 4 (16:01):
If I make Lee brownie or something.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Well.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
So, I've heard two schools of thought on this. I've
heard that it's a nice thing to do. Hey, my
baby might cry, so here's like haha, you know, and
you can make it cute like it came from her.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah, a little note, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Oh, it's my first flight and I might be a
little nervous or whatever. I've also heard parents say, no,
don't apologize for the behavior of a child in the world,
because this is what children do. Like, it's a baby. Sorry,
you're on a public airplane. She might cry, and then
of course you have to make every effort to like
console her or occupy her, or you know, do what
(16:35):
you got to do, like you would in a restaurant
or any other public place. Right, Like, you're probably not
going to let your kid have it as much as
you can control and have a total outburst in public,
right like if so, I think the same rules would
apply to an airplane, but it can be a little tougher.
But I've I've seen parents say, no, don't apologize for
your kid.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
It's a kid.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I'm not mad at that either, To be honest, I
thought I'm thinking more.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
About it because like, yeah, you know, I'm only doing
this because I'm riding solo on this one. So I'm
a little nervous. She's done Hawaii, so my baby has
done eight.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Hours on a plane. She was perfect. But I had
a village with me.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
I mean, we were like packing up like a bunch
of people. We all just you know, hopped on a
plane and I got to pass her around, and she
was fine. She was also a little bit younger. She
wasn't walking yet. She's walking now, So people are saying
it a little more tough now. It's a little more
difficult because she may want to get up and walk
when we're supposed to be seat belt you know, everybody's
seatbelt in your in your seats type thing. So I'm
a little nervous about that. But then, yeah, I don't
(17:25):
want to like apologize for my kid existing. Like, yeah,
you're entitled to, you know, not travel with children or
not have children, but you're not incited to a child
free world, you know.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Like I don't have kids, right, so maybe I don't
gravitate towards them.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
My nieces have changed me in a lot of ways.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
But as a single guy with no kids, if I
sit on a plane and if somewhere the baby sits
next to me. There's part of me that's like, oh, well,
this might be an adventure. But then there's part of
me that's like this might be an adventure, like it's
not within the parents' control, Like this is part of
living in a society, right, Like there are kids and
they sometimes act out. I think the only time I
would have a problem is if the kid was acting
out and the parent wasn't trying to do anything about it, right,
(18:01):
that would be the only and I wouldn't say anything.
But the only time that internally I would be annoyed
about a child's presence is if the kid was acting
out and the parent didn't feel any responsibility to console
the child or occupy you know, like the kid that's
kicking your seat and the parents watching them do it. Yeah,
And it's like, well, you wouldn't like that, no if
a kid were doing it to you, So maybe stop
your kid from doing it, Like that would be But
(18:23):
as far as like if Gigi accept on the plane,
that might be a very unfortunate experience for a lot
of people. But like, yeah, if you're doing your best
as a parent, and I know you would, then I
guess I really don't know what there is to apologize for.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
That's true.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
And it's only at forty five minute flight, So everybody
put your AirPods on.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
We'll be fine. We'll make it through.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Is she to do like does the tablet work? Do
she watches its screens?
Speaker 5 (18:46):
I've never introduced her to an iPad, And to be
completely honest and and no shade to other parents, I'm
trying my hardest not to. I know one day she's
gonna pick it up and we're gonna we're gonna get there.
But I'm really trying not to do that in the
car seat, in the restaurants, like she goes to restaurants
with us.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
She was at Hooters with me and my friend the
other day and she's great. I'm trying to tell you
she's not great. That's my girl's spot. Now, Yeah, what
will she do? Then you'll bring like a toy or something.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
I bring her snackies and a little container that she can,
you know, kind of help herself and everything, and then
I kind of just put her in the high chair.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
We call her, we talk. She's honestly such a good baby.
Speaker 6 (19:19):
Though.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
She'll be fun and I bet you she's gonna she's
gonna play off of your energy. So if you go
into it really uptight and nervous that she's going to disrupt,
I bet you she can feel that. But my sister
will go to like the dollars. This is more for
the older once she's a little a year and a half,
little young for this. But my sister will go to
the dollar store and buy like thirty toys. That's so
smart for a long flight. And then she just keeps
(19:41):
pulling stuff out and it's like cheap stuff. It doesn't
really matter, but like it's just constantly something new and different.
And then I will say that the iPads seem to
come out on the plane because it's like, look, we're
in a survival situation. You know what I mean is
like this is like we're trying to get through this.
So maybe some of the rules you know, don't fly.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Yes when it comes to that, yesterday I was singing.
I don't know what it was.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
I just needed a break. She goes for my car keys.
That's her thing right now. She screams keys at me,
and I wouldn't ideally give them her my car keys.
I feel like they're kind of dirty. I would assume
their car keys and I just gave them to her.
I'm like, go crazy, Like yeah, literally go, someone texted
former flight attendant.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Unfortunately a lot of parents don't try to console their babies.
I think a cute note shows that you care and
passengers will be more empathetic. I get that, and that's
very nice, I guess. I honestly think, like we're on
a public airplane, children fly like you know, again, if
you're doing your best as a parent, I think that's
all anybody can ask for. And I don't know that.
I think if you start out with I'm so sorry
(20:44):
for my kid, I don't. I don't think you should.
You could. I don't think you should have to do that. Okay,
mind no whatever. I know it's a short flight. You'll
be fine. I think Paulina's gesture to give the flight
staff is so kind, But honestly, their job is to
provide good service. Literally, that's in their job description. Like
Fred said, babies or babies, don't apologize for that. I'm
all for the uh, if you've got the dough and
(21:08):
you're in the you know you're so inclined. I'm all
for the handing out some Starbucks gift cards to flight
attendants on a long flight just because you're a nice person.
But that doesn't have to be because you're a because
you have a kid, you know. I mean, I just
think that's like they would like getting a tip like you.
You don't have to do that, but I know they
appreciate it. I see it on TikTok all the time.
It's like passenger gave me a Starbucks gift card, or
(21:29):
passenger gave me like M and M's or something, and
it's like, oh my god, it was so thoughtful because
I've had a long day and I know that, you know,
they live on Starbucks and whatever's in the airports. But
I don't think you have to do that because.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
You have a kid.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
Yeah, maybe I'll just do it as a tradition of
traveling with my daughter.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
I would like to do that.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
I've always considered doing that because I do appreciate the
flight attendants. I think they're under appreciated sometimes actually put
up with a lot. I think, and now me, my baby,
But my baby's fine. But I think I'm gonna teach
her that, like, hey, you know, even if it's five
ten bucks right here, you go like that's a coffee
for them or whatever, a tree, whatever they want.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, and then someone else made the point most people
have headphones in and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Now, so I uh, it's a very short flight. Don't
overthink it.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Okay, you can choose not to have babies. But did
everybody forget that they used to be a baby.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yes,
