Speaker 2 (00:43):
Pretty touched on this earlier. But if you saw that
statement floating around that was supposedly from the Coldplay cheating
CEO Andy Byron, it is fake. His company Astronomer confirmed
that that's not real. The Folks statement was posted late
last night after the now infamous video went viral showing
the CEO hugging Astronomer's HR chief Kristin Cabot during Wednesday's
(01:03):
Coldplay concert in Boston. Shout out to the person who
was randomly filming on TikTok. That video has gotten over
a million views. The alleged couple ended up on the
big screen if you missed it, immediately tried to hide
when they realized they were in full display. The fake
document even featured a quote from Coldplay song Fix You,
which I don't think Andy would do if that was
a real statement. But yeah, somebody made that, and of
(01:24):
course it went viral. We have not heard from the
real Andy yet as far as I've seen. But Fred,
you saw that his wife took her last name off
her Facebook, right, Yeah, which again.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
I don't know if that's because she doesn't want to
be associated with him, or associate with any of it,
or doesn't want people to be able to find her.
I don't know if she's divorcing him. People are speculating
it's because she's divorcing him. It's like, well, that may be,
but I would probably just take my real name off.
I'd probably just delete the whole.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Thing, right for sure. Okay, so this is pretty crazy.
A full year before the release of Christopher Nolan's movie
The Odyssey, tickets went on sale to see it in
Imax at twenty five or twenty six location over the
July seventeenth, twenty twenty six weekend. Okay, so if you
missed all this, Imax officially announced a special offer on
(02:07):
its social feed at midnight Thursday, which was Eastern time.
Within an hour, ninety five percent of seats were snapped up,
gaining an estimated one point five million, despite a small
pool of seats. You know, in comparison, as the night
and day unfolded, tickets were being resold on eBay and
other sites for anywhere between three hundred and four hundred
dollars compared to a retail price of like twenty five
(02:30):
to twenty eight dollars. This all to say, this is
the first time in history that tickets have gone on
sale a year before a film's opening. To my knowledge,
there are I don't know, it's a really all star cast.
I mean, and this is the movie adaptation of the
book The Odyssey. Did you guys have to read that
in school?
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:50):
The Greek mythology. It's starring Matt Damon, but the cast
is amazing. But yeah, so a year before he dropped
these tickets and it's only going to be an Imax,
which is his preferred venue to release movies. But that's
coreat I mean, what what was last time a movie
was this?
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I know you could buy tickets for a movie a
year out. Well this is the first time, Okay, yeah,
then I don't know, then, I yeah, no, right, maybe
that's why I've never considered it before. But like I
I don't think Titanic. I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
The Barby movie was like we were excited.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
But but like I said before, I don't even know
if I know of a movie that's coming out in
a year, Like, I'm not thinking about it that far
right exactly. I don't know what I'm gonna have for
dinner tonight.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, I mean Tom Holland and Hathaway, Zendaia Lupita Nuango,
Robert Pattinson, Charlie's Sarren, really really big cast. So I
don't know if you want to see it, I guess
good luck because this sold out. Speaking of movies in
theaters this weekend, I know what you did last summer?
What year is it they're making another one of those,
(03:54):
and Freddie Prince Junior and Sarah Michelle Geller are still
together and they did the red carpet for that, so
I love them. Smurfs is obviously out. Rihanna leads the
voice cast. She also came out with the song for that.
And then Superman, which everybody is saying is amazing. I
haven't seen it yet. Pauline is really into the superheroes
now you.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Can see that. That's right, Paulina rode DC.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, and by the way, we did the story earlier
this week, but Crypto the super Dog, the number is
growing even more now. It's like a five hundred percent
increase in adoptions for dogs amazing because of the movie.
So good good news. If you want to elevate your
listening experience, you can head to YouTube type Fred Show
Radio and we will go live throughout the show and
(04:36):
you could see what we're wearing today.
