Speaker 3 (00:34):
That Dream broadcaster Brian Gumbel was rushed to a Manhattan
Manhattan hospital late Monday after suffering a medical emergency in
his apartment. Witnesses say he was taken out on a
gurney around nine pm. As of yesterday, remained under treatment
in New York. A family member says that he is okay,
though I haven't seen any more on what may have happened.
He's well known for co hosting Today from nineteen eighty
(00:58):
two to nineteen ninety seven, later hosting HBO's long running
series Real Sports with Brian Gumble until it ended in
December of twenty twenty three, and this comes less than
a year after the death of his brother, Greg, a
renowned sportscaster who died in December of last year. Moving
on to Victoria Beckham, who's doing a whole press tour
(01:19):
right now, but she is the guest on Call Her
Daddy this week, and she says that her now husband
David Beckham fit in with her Spice Girl band mates
so well and even he had no hesitation sneaking into
her hotel room while she was on tour, recalling one
morning that he had to jump out of her window
to do a walk of shame to avoid getting caught.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
I don't know who was, Like, was there a manager?
Like no boys in the room? Like was it like
a like a high.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
School field trialing. I don't know what's going on there,
but they're grown adults. He actually, though, had to miss
soccer practice for Manchester United that day because he had
such bad blisters from walking home in his clothes, and
she was from the night before like, wow.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
David, get over. I guess you probably didn't have one
of that. Get a taxi or something.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
But as you know, they got together in nineteen ninety seven,
and he popped the question in nineteen ninety eight. They
had three kids. Sad their kids are kind of fighting
right now, but you know, it's like any family.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I guess.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Have you guys seen the while I'm talking about them
really quick the video of them that's going viral where
David tells her a joke and it's just very much
like a marriage, Like she doesn't think it's funny a joke.
Did guys see that? It's hysterical? He told her this
very funny, like unfunny dad joke about what do you
call a bear without teeth?
Speaker 1 (02:34):
And he's like a gubby bear. She's like, oh, getting
on my shoe.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Have you've seen the videos of people who are telling
their spouses and they're cats of all people jokes and
then laughing like it absurd, this absurd laugh just to
see like this not their laugh just way over the top.
To see how the people react and they just the
cats usually just stare at them, yeah, and then like
the partner's are like, it's like a bad joke, and
then they go, ah, it was crazy, it's funny.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, laugh at them. I do not think it's funny.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
The people that are doing the AI photos of pranking
people and saying there's an intruder in her home.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Oh, I love that funny, and I think y'all should
not get off.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
And while we're talking about AI, I mean, we just
heard a waiting by the phone where somebody asks somebody
out using AI and her late brother.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Well, this one was actually consensual.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
But late the late Susanne Summer's husband, Alan Hammill is
developing an AI twin of her, named Susanne AI Twin,
which uses everything from her twenty seven books and hundreds
of interviews to mimic her voice, likeness, and personality. He
says the result will look and sound so much like her,
and it already does that he can't tell the difference
(03:43):
when comparing the A version to her in person. The
idea was actually something she talked about long before her
death in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
They were talking about AI.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
In the eighties, which is wild, and the plan was
or is once polished. The AI will live on her
official website and can ask her questions, especially about health
and wellness, which was her the whole thing, since you know,
that was what she did while she was alive. The
answers will be backed by doctors who she interviewed, and
he sees this as a long term tribute to her
(04:14):
legacy and a way for fans and family to keep
interacting with her presence even after her passing. So that's
an interesting take, actually, a husband wanting to recreate his
wife and do something for the fans. And if you
miss any part of our show and you want to
catch up, it's all up there from today and every
day to type The Fred Show on demand on the
free iHeartRadio app.
