Gene Hackman's dogs led first responders to the actor's body,
where he was found dead inside his New Mexico home
in February. And this story is just so tragic and
there's so many layers. But Bear and Nikita, the two
surviving dogs that he shared with his wife, Betsy, were
left wandering around the couple's Santa Fe property for days
before help arrived. First responders had been at the couple's

home for nearly half an hour by the time they
noticed strange behavior from the dogs. One of the dogs
had continuously barked at the emergency workers before running away
towards the other end of the house.

dog was very smart and he was trying to say, hey,
come over here. This is where the trouble. All is
the dog which is unclear. I don't know which dog

where Jean's body was discovered lying on the ground near
his cane and sunglasses. A back door had been left open,
which allowed the dogs to enter and exit the home.

So they also stayed in the home.

Which we just don't deserve dogs besides their bodies. The
home was noted as being clean and organized with zero
signs of gaseous hazards, and that would have contributed to
their deaths. And we now know that there was some
sort of medical emergency and his wife died before him,
and that he didn't know for days. I think he
had Alzheimer's that she was at. It's just a very

very sad, tragic story. I do want to know, and
I know his kids or grandkids are going to inherit
a fortune from him, But how do you not check

that he was approached by President Trump and the White House,
but he didn't want to give up running Barstool, so
he turned the position down. He posted a video on
x this week saying he got a call about potentially
joining the Commerce Department, working under Secretary Howard Lutnik. He

didn't detail the nature of the job, but he said
if he agreed to work for the US government, he
was told that he would have to find someone else
to run Barstool. He then questioned how Elon Musk, who
is CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and runs other companies,
is able to manage all of his obligations while leading
