Kaelin's Entertainment Report: Gene Hackman's Dogs, Eric Dane Seen in Public, & Paige Bueckers Draws Eyes to the WNBA!

Gene Hackman's dogs were by Hackman's wife Betsy's side when she passed away. Euphoria star Eric Dane was seen for the first time in public since his ALS diagnoses. Lastly Paige Bueckers, the overall pick in the WNBA Draft is adding eyes on the league as many fans are excited to watch the young star hit the court!

Ooh, have to start out with just a heartbreaking story,
because we do not deserve dogs. Newly released body cam
video from the Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy's home
shows their whole you know, the whole death site shows
Cup searching their new Mexico house before ultimately finding Betsy
with one.

Of their dogs still guarding her body.

I mean, the sweet dog was sitting by her and
who knows how long he was staying there. By the way,
the property they found was also infested with dead rodents
and nests scattered throughout the eight detached buildings, which explains
how Betsy passed away from Hanna virus, which comes from rodents.
Gene Hackman died a few days after Betsy, and they

were recently laid to rest in a private ceremony.

But I just can't get over no one checking on them.
I don't know why it doesn't.

I mean, no one called, no one visited, and that's
what breaks my heart. So you know, call your paper people,
check it on your grandparents, your parents, because that's what
breaks my heart most of all, and that he was
sick and in there with his wife before he passed away,
switching gears to Eric Dane, who's doing exactly what he
said he would do. After announcing that he has als,

he's getting out and about not letting that diagnosis slow
his lifestyle. The Euphoria and Gray's Anatomy star was spotted
in pretty good spirits for the first time since he
announced that he was visiting a friend in la He
looked a little thinner than we're used to seeing him,
but still very handsome.

I mean, he could never not look handsome.

Remember he said he fully intended to be on set
this week to shoot the new season of Euphoria.

And I just remembered something a little bit ago.

I talked about how his wife filed to cancel their divorce.

Do you remember when I talked about this.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
They were she filed back in twenty eighteen, and then
recently she filed to call off the divorce and they're
staying together. I think that probably makes a lot of
sense now that he's sick, and it may have brought
them together. But I was just infatuated, you know they
you know, she filed so long ago and now they're
staying together. But you will see him in the upcoming
season of Euphoria. Fine, I mean that's we've been waiting

for years. I turned thirty seven by the time it'll
come out. And lastly, Paige Becker's she's she's got the
w NBA in a choke cold. If you don't know
who she is, she uh was taken as the number
one overall pick in the draft on Monday.

She was a Yukon star.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
She won the twenty twenty five n Cuba Championship with
the Huskies, and she was the first name called, of course,
on Monday night's draft when and there's this whole effect
that they're talking about that we saw with Please Help
Me with Your Thank You, where there's a surge that
comes alongside a nine five percent increase in traffic versus

the prior day, showing just how quickly fan excitement is
converting to demand. So this is really exciting for the
w NBA as well. We had Caitlin Clark, we have
Angel Rehese. I believe she's staying in Chika and so
this pagebackers. She's insane. I watched her play a little bit.
I don't know a lot about basketball, but she's also
you know, playing a hand in getting more eyes on
