Samuel L.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Jackson, who of course had a very big role in
Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show he was huge for,
but he admitted something when he was on the Mad
Sad Bad podcast. He said that he had no idea
what the show even was about.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
It was kind of trippy because when when when we
were rehearsing, you know, we just had our clothes on,
you know, and I was looking at the dancers and
they were doing that, doing that, done the things and
done the stuff. And it wasn't until dress rehearsal that
when I looked up and I looked on that stage
and I go, that's a flag. Yeah, and he was.

Speaker 2 (01:41):

Speaker 3 (01:43):
We're being revolutionary. It was like because I wasn't listening

to be the ringleader.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
And he was.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Addresses uncle Sam right, yay. So he was I liked
just being there. As he put it all together, he
described it in a very funny way, and I liked
that they had their clothes on during rehearsal, which is
a good thing to do when you're in public. Moving
on to a couple surprise performances over the weekend. The
first went down when Olivia Rodrigo brought out David Byrne
to perform a duet of the Talking Heads nineteen eighty

three smash Burning Down the House, and over in Liverpool,
Paul McCartney joined Bruce Springsteen to play a version of
the Beatles song Can't Buy Me Love during his encore,
which was very exciting for lots of people that were there.
And speaking of music, I spent the weekend with mister
Dwayne Michael Carter Junior aka Lil Wayne and his Carter's
Tikes album. I saw Keky did a recap of the album.

(02:53):
I also saw that there was a lot of hate
online and I don't think he gets the respect that
he deserved. I agree with Kiki on that one. I
think there's some bangers on the album, lots of features.
My favorite I think right now is hip hop with
Big X the plug. But don't be hat like he's
he's a legende and we might be a little Wayne apologists,

(03:14):
but we can't help it. I think it's a good album.
I don't know Jelly rolls on it. And speaking of
jelly roll and Lil Wayne, by the way, our iHeartRadio
