Speaker 1 (00:00):
Karen's Entertainment Report. He is on the Fread show.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Vice president and presidential hopeful Kamala Harris when Alex Cooper's
call her Daddy podcast, which is wild. At first, when
I saw the story on Instagram, I thought it was fake,
but nope, it was real. And Kamala said the reason
she went on the historically pretty raunchy podcast was because
she has a ton of female listeners and she wanted
(00:24):
to talk directly to them. She talked about a bunch
of things, including reproductive rights. I don't think she talked
about the glokluck, but what a long way Alex has
coming from that. And if you don't know where that is,
look it up in your own time, because I cannot
describe it on the air, I guess.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
She asked both candidates to come on, and Trump declined, Yeah, well,
I was.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Just wondering that because you know how we have to
have equal time.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Right, Yeah. No, But I think the same thing, like
I think Dave Ramsey or somebody asked both of them on,
only Trump win, Kamala wouldn't go. So it's like it's
interesting though, these sort of offshoot untradition, know, media types
getting these big huge interviews because they have more reach
than a lot of like the you know, it's smart,
(01:07):
the sort of stale, stoic kind of I don't know,
these guys. What used to be considered more mainstream is
not necessarily the most appealing anymore. I think about all
the time when I'm like watching CNN and I'm like, Okay,
they're on here saying all this stuff, but like it's
the same people that watch CNN, Like, you're not reaching
a new audience, right well, they're not really relating, you know,
(01:27):
because it's like this wor journalists and we're supposed to
do by the way. I think that's so funny because
certain networks are known to have certain leans, even though
they'll all tell you that they're all, you know, right
down the middle and fair and balanced and whatever else,
Like no, you're not. You know, MSNBC has THEIRS, Fox
has their CNN supposedly has THEIRS, but I don't know.
But like, I would much rather hear if I listen
(01:48):
to this show, I would much rather hear us talk
to people that are important in the news than I
would someone I don't know or have no connection to.
So come on by any political figure that wants to
come up as never mind, I take that back. If
the presidential candidates want to come on. We don't do politics,
but as long as we can ask whatever we want,
as long as they'll both show up.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
And Alex doesn't talk politics either.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
So I'm surprised Trump said no because she's never aligned
herself either way.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
She just got the opportunity and took it.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
And she never has anyone on that set, like has
a list of things they can't talk about, which I
respect about her a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
I'm not surprised Trump said no to that interview. Ah, well,
I don't need to go on.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
I mean, I feel like it'd be smart for him
to do it.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
I feel like I feel like she'd corner him and
he wouldn't know what to do. And that particular audience,
that particular interview may not be. They're all taking interviews
that are advantageous for them, you know what I mean,
Like Trump going on Dave Ramsey. I get the impression
Dave wanted Trump. I get the impression Dave Baby likes.
I don't know that, but I'm just saying like, I
feel like that was a hometown crowd for Kamala is
(02:52):
picking her spots especially well, I.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Know, but Barstool's notoriously.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
I mean, Dave Portnoy is a huge Trump supporter, and
Alex came from that, and Marshall has always been kind
of aligned more Republican, so it's interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
But he should have she should have gone on I want.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I enjoyed that, and after unfollowing a ton of people,
Drake called out fake friends who may switch up and
try to stab you in the back. He was being
very Drake over the weekend when he addressed the crowd
and grabbed a mic at Canadian broadcaster Tyrone Edwards a
nostalgia party that was in Toronto, and he said, my
real friends are definitely in the building, but I'm gonna
tell you you're going to come to a point in
(03:26):
life where the people you thought were your friends, or
people you thought were close to you, they might switch up.
He finished by saying that's how life is. Sometimes it's
you and you alone by yourself. He then very dramatically
ended his speech and played Beyonce's Me, Myself and I.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
You gotta love that emotional man.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
This comes after he unfollowed NBA stars Lebron James and
DeMar deroz In after they rode for Kendrick during that
Juneteenth concert that he had and that was at the
height of their beef. Speaking of beef, Cardi B was
talking to her Twitter followers on spaces. I didn't know
people still did that, but she says, nope, she and
Offset will never be getting back together like they have
in the past. I'll believe it when I see it.
(04:01):
But fans made a big deal about seeing Offset at
her studio recently. She said, everybody has to go their
separate ways, but it's going to be slow, but sure.
And their kids will also need to get used to
their dad not being home every day with them. But
right now, if he is home, she says, she's not there.
Did you guys see this? Things got really ugly at Dodgers'
stadium Sunday when Dodgers fans started hurling things at two
(04:23):
of the Padres outfielders before the bottom of the seventh inning.
First fans were throwing baseballs, which pissed one of them off.
He actually need to be held back by his teammates
so he could calm down. Then the stadium had to
make an announcement on the PA telling fans not to
throw things onto the field, but La fans and started
throwing trash into right field, so about twenty security guards
(04:43):
stood along the foul lines tried to get everyone in line,
but the game had to be delayed for twelve minutes
while they tried to figure out who the hell was
throwing stuff. The Padres even up the series at one
one with a ten to win over the Dodgers and
Miss Dua. Lipa is one of the most beautiful women
in the world, but you probably you don't want to
kiss her after she drinks her favorite drink, which is
pickle juice, diet coke, and jalapanios.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
I saw this. I did see that. It looked disgusting.
It looked disgusting. I love pickle though I would.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Try it, but I like all three things independently, but
they don't have to all go together.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, I don't know. I'm not gonna knock it. She
also got popular for when she.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Says she eats a vanilla ice cream with olive oil
on top of it and sea salt girl.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Oh yeah, okay, I try to pickle juice. That's kind
of wild. If you want to follow.
Speaker 2 (05:32):

Speaker 3 (05:43):
You don't know who Dave Ramsey is, you probably do.
He has to have popped up on your TikTok at
least once. He's the old man, that kind of balding
that tells everybody that they're poor.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
You don't have any money.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
You need to sell everything you owe ramen noodles for
the rest of your life because you're poor.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
God, you need to Hi, Dave.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
My name's John and I I'm seven billion dollars in
debt and I don't know I make thirty thousand dollars
a year. Uh huh, John, you are screwed.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
That's that's stab the most out of touch financial advisor ever.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I mean it's a lot of touch. You gotta admit it,
you gotta.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
I mean, I admit that he's had a touch. I
also admit that, like he's people that call him are
in really bad shape and I think his his Uh,
some people need to hear that, like you don't you
don't have any money. Sometimes this is what's trending. Sometimes
what that's the only way they could get a car.
They could get you know what I'm saying that they
have to be in all that debt just to get
(06:39):
a car. It's it's sometimes some of the examples I've
heard is I make I make twelve dollars an hour
and I'm you know, I' drive a Ferrari and it's
Dave Ramsey going well maybe not maybe maybe not with
the Ferrari. Maybe sell the
