Speaker 1 (00:00):
Calin's Entertainment Report. He's on the Fresh Show.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
If you saw this, there's a rumor going around that
Drake and Kendrick Lamar's shared music label tried to force
them to squash their beef. But it's just that it's
just a rumor. So here's the deal. If you saw this,
it was a blind item that's kind of going viral,
and it purports to have the inside scoop on some
sort of meeting between the rappers and Universal Music Group,
which they are both technically signed to. The blind item

(00:26):
claims that umg Hanjo's tried to force Kendrick to ease
up on Drake, say sorry and squash things. Also claimed
they asked Kendrick to issue a statement acknowledging that Drake
is not a pedophile. I'm being told this is like
completely false. No meeting took place. Drake was the last
to drop a song. And I don't know if Kendrick's

(00:46):
gonna reply or not, but this only helps their streams
and their money, so and they're not going to get
involved in like a rap beef. I feel like the
suits are not gonna be like, all right, say you're sorry.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Somebody asked me yesterday, you guys talk about that. Can
you explain the beef to me? I go, let me
call Caitlin and Jason Kik. I don't know what to do.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
You still don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I mean I've listened to it every day. I'm just like,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yeah, it's a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
They're doing a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Which one's your favorite track? Which one? Go again? I
don't know? Sure? Whatever, whatever says thanks Kendrick.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
One. By the way, there was a shooting at Drake's house.
It injured his security guard. Cops are trying to see
if that was connected to the beef. Now, a documentary
speaking of beef, called Taylor Swift Versus Scooter Braun Bad
Blood Well premiere in June on Discovery Plus in the
UK and on Max internationally, so we will get it.
Two hour long episodes are going to explore that feud
that ensued when Scooter bought the rights to Taylor's albums

(01:40):
with Big Machine Records back in twenty nineteen. Taylor has
always maintained that the sale was made without consulting her,
and that she was blocked from buying back the masters herself,
which she had the money to do and wanted to do.
She expressed that the she then obviously re recorded all
of those songs. She still has a couple more albums
to drop. But while we're talking about Tayl there one

(02:00):
Tree Hill. Actress and singer Jana Kramer issued a warning
for her on her podcast wind Down, saying that to her,
Travis Kelsey, her boyfriend, is always drunk. Every time I
seen a video, he's always drunk. She then pivoted to Taylor,
saying that she hopes that she doesn't follow him his
lead and start drinking a lot. Janna even took it
a step further, saying she's noticing that Taylor is drinking

(02:23):
a lot these days too. She and other people on
the pod had more to say, saying it was just
like pr and it's not a real relationship. I was
reading the comments though in the post, like how do
you win a Super Bowl if you're just drinking all
the time, like multiple super Bowls? And I think they
were celebrating that, but I don't know. People Also, do

(02:44):
you know even who Jana Kramer is exactly?

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Yeah? You do.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, I feel I don't know, Well.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I don't know. I'm not super enthusiastic. Yeah, but I
know who it is. Yeah. Yeah, I just feel like
I'm glad she has I'm glad she has some thoughts. Uh,
thanks for sharing.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
She's worried. And then Taylor has a line in one
of her songs about being a functioning alcoholic, but it's
like a metaphor and people are very literal about it
and think that she's admitting to being an alcoholic in
the first track of her new album, You're Married to
a football Player. Yeah, he's the dude that cheated on her,
like over and over and over again, and she kept
getting back with him protection Yeah, a little bit, a

(03:21):
little bit, but hey, you know, be careful, I guess.
