Speaker 1 (00:01):
Caitlin's Entertainment Report. He's on the Fresh show Man.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I can't believe I'm saying this, but former One directioner
Liam Payne died yesterday in Argentina after falling from the
third floor balcony and of his hotel room.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Cops say that.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
His fall resulted in quote extremely serious injuries and he
was actually pronounced dead right on the scene. Several people
working and staying at the hotel say that Liam was
acting really erratic, even smashed his laptop in the lobby
earlier that day had to be carried back to his room.
Lots of people saying he seemed to be on drugs
and drunk. As for what we know now, Liam had

(00:37):
been staying in Argentina for just about over two weeks
with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, and they even went to
Liam's former bandmate n Horn's concert while they were there
on vacation. Now, Kate posted on October fourteenth that she
was headed back to Florida. I don't want to speculate,
but it is interesting that she left and he stayed
by himself.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Now.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
As for what's been going on with Liam leading up
to this, lots of people close to him are now
saying that he kind of spent the last few years
of his life cycling through these periods of really dangerous behavior.
For a long time, he was open about his struggles
but also tried to downplay them to people close to him.
Someone said his demons were much worse than what he
led on now.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Earlier yesterday, and.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
This is interesting, he posted a video on Snapchat saying
he was having a lovely day in Argentina with his
girlfriend Kate, But we now know that that's an old
video because she's already back in Florida.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So that's also pretty interesting to me.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
And while we're talking about it, people are absolutely slamming
TMZ for posting pictures of his body. And I couldn't
believe they did this either, but they surprised me every time.
Comments included TMZ, effing, shame on, you, disgrace. TMZ posting
part of Liam Payne's dead body in an article announcing
his death is beyond deplorable. I can't tell if I'm
losing my mind lately, or of society has always been

(01:56):
this overtly morally decrepit, even a less see Akara, the
singer got in there.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
She wrote, your gross TMZ.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Another said, I know we complain about TMZ a lot,
but they really surprised me every time and how insensitive
they can be. They actually appeared to second guess their
decision because they did take the photos down, which we
don't see them doing a lot. But I mean, we
see this with Kobe and with all these things. Some
people of you know, family members and stuff of celebrities

(02:25):
have said they've found out about someone's death through a
post on TMZ, and that's a whole nother discussion. But gosh,
I mean, my jaw was just on the floor when
I saw that yesterday.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
It's such a tragedy.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
And obviously we'll speak more about it as I know more,
but it doesn't really feel right to segue into any
other stories. So you can catch up on everything you
missed from the Fred Show on our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'll get some blogs next.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
My niece. I got to talk about my niece, and
then I want we've been meaning to get for a
couple of days. Kiki, you had an important new appointment. Yes, yes,
I think a lot of people can relate to this.
You think so, I hope, So I do something very
I do something very similar actually as a man in
the same realm. Boy, we'll get to it next blogs.
Two minutes away Fred shows on, then waiting by the

(03:10):
phone and the throwback throw down.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
