Speaker 2 (00:29):
Brian is setting the record straight about the heartbreaking loss
of his sister Kelly. Brian Cheshire and I don't know
if you guys know this story. It's actually very very sad.
I didn't realize that people kind of were saying that
they were faking something or covering up. I just knew
about the tragedy that he endured. But in a new interview,
he said that there's been a lot of misinformation about
(00:51):
the two thousand and seven death of his sister, saying
that nothing was covered up like some people think or thought.
He said, we didn't hide anything, swinging that Kelly died
suddenly from an unexplained medical event after what had been
a perfectly healthy period. Her autopsy was also inconclusive, leaving
the family absolutely devastated and searching for answers, which is
(01:11):
why people think that they were covering something up, which
I cannot imagine losing a sibling and then having all
this unnecessary commentary on it. Her death, though, was the
second major tragedy for Luke, who had already lost his
brother Chris years earlier in a car crash, and then
in twenty fourteen, so his sister's husband, ben Lee Cheshire,
also died unexpectedly. So both of these people died a
(01:33):
husband and wife, one of them being his sister, and
their three children had no parents anymore. Jordan, Chris and
till they call him his name is Tilden. That meant
that Luke and his wife Caroline stepped in and they
raise all those children along with their own angels, according
like if you ask me, But Luke said he sees
glimpses of Kelly in her children every day, the way
(01:54):
they smile, laugh, carry themselves. It's like having a piece
of her still. But I guess yeah. People on the
internet had some opinions about it, and he had to
address that. He says those losses did reshape his entire
life perspective. He said, you learn to appreciate every single
day every person you love because you never know what's next.
And I feel like that reflects in him. He's a
really nice guy. He's like stopped to help people with
(02:17):
car troubles. I don't know, so you see that in him.
But I guess he had to clear up some online rumors.
Imagine that speaking of that. Okay, so, and this was
not directed at you, Fred, but Andy Cohen was on
call her Daddy this week for a super fun episode,
and of course there's always you know, what's the headline
from this episode? What are we going to extract and
make sound salacious? And you know, the whole friendship of
(02:38):
his with John Mayer came up, and of course she
asked him about it, and all the headlines are like
Andy Cohen, you know, it's all over John and it's
flirty and they're into each other. And I feel like
that's the insinuation, because I do feel like it's hard
for people to understand like this super close friendship between
a very gay man and a very straight man. And
he was telling you a story. He does say that
(02:59):
they sit on the same side of the booth, but
that's a choice they both make and it cracks me up.
That's so funny. Yeah, And he was telling how he
was getting a little drunk and because she was asking
him something about, you know, all the rumors or whatever,
He's like, yeah, no, we're We are the best of friends.
We love each other so much. We are affectionate with
each other, which I think is hard for people to
sometimes wrap their heads around. But he said, I'm not
(03:20):
secretly in love with my friend John. I love him
very deeply as a friend. And he talked about the
kind of woman that he would love to see John
with and that he hopes he finds. Also said he
would like to find a dude with the same qualities.
But the headlines are just you know, it wasn't that
I was like, oh, John Mayer's gay. It was like
it was I saw it.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
I was like wow, Like John Mayers just lets him
hang all over him, Like wow, I don't know if
I'd let my I don't know if I'd be comfortable.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I don't I'm not.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Comfortable people touching me anyway. I wouldn't care if anyone
thought I was one. I wouldn't. I don't care what
anyone thinks. Quick really, but like I also, I'm like wow.
So they sit on the same side of the booth,
which is taboo for even people who were.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Together, Like, yeah, I did, and I can't live it down.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, and then he gets super handsy and I was like,
oh okay, yeah wow, and John lets him do it
all right. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
People think that they're playing in our face, like people
think that they're secretly our good friend Kigy thinks they're
secretly doing it. But it was just bothering me because
I listened to the whole podcast and then I saw
the headlines, which that's just the world we live in.
But it was very much not set up like that.
He knows John is straight, he knows that he's going
to be with a woman someday, but they do sit
on the same side of the booth, which is wild.
Another thing she asked him, she makes people play this
(04:27):
game where she acts crazy ask crazy questions and I
know we got to go, so I'll wrap it up.
But she asked him how much he made last year,
or you have to text someone in your phone something crazy,
and he was like are you effing serious, Like, I'm
never answering that. It was a very funny moment between them,
and then he explained why he wouldn't answer, and so
he did have to text someone, Lisa vander Pump, something
(04:47):
very funny and yeah, it was a cute episode. If
