Speaker 1 (00:00):
Caitlin's Entertainment report He's on the Bread Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
R Kelly is asking the United States Supreme Court to
throw out his convictions, claiming that his allege acts occurred
decades ago and the charges were different then.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
So here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
When r Kelly was accused in twenty twenty of possessing
child pornography then engaging in sexual acts with underage girls
in the mid to late nineties, he argued that the
statue of limitations had already run its course. Prosecutors then
argued that a two thousand and three law called the
Protect Act made the statute of limitations indefinite for child

(00:36):
sex crimes. Now, his lawyer is arguing that he is
currently serving time for things that occur before this Protect
Act was put into place, it didn't exist. Remember, he
got a twenty year sentence after he was convicted of
six of thirteen counts. Like I said back in twenty twenty,
Now it's up to the Supreme Court to decide in
the next few months whether or not they're going to

(00:58):
hear his appeal. So if you miss this, somewhere on
Twitter made a joke suggesting that Donald Trump's running me.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Senator jd Vance may have gotten it on with a
couch and like, yep, yep, like things sit on in
your living room.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
And while you might think that's funny, one sex expert
is saying that the jokes are shaming to people who do,
in fact like to make love to furniture. And this
is a real community and this is your reason to
be upset today.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Okay, so you should be.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, this is not a game. You either are a
couch doer or you're not a coach.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Doctor Laura Berman is a relationship and sex therapist. She's
been on the Oprah Network, the Doctor Oz Show and
says this is a very real fetish and they should
not be made to feel ashamed. She said she's had
a bunch of clients who are actually attracted to furniture
and some who have even fell in love with a

(01:56):
household object, which she says is called object Tophelia.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Jason, have you ever got him with a couch? You know, shockingly,
I haven't because I know that's probably on brand for me.
But no, no, You've got with a lot of things.
I just you know, never couch couches don't do it
for me. They don't more.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
You're more of like a like an armchair guy or
you know, like a like a lazy boy like Aliner
maybe pillow a pillow guy.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, okay, all right, you know, well people shouldn't be shamed,
and that is I'm standing.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, like sometimes couch material is like a little like
uh rough you know those Yeah, like that's what I'm
talking about, Like it just me it would be a
little Yeah, it's shafe.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
You know, we're all friends here, never.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Sitting on anyone's couch ever. Again, no I'm not who
knows what's happened there?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Right, You don't know if they're in love with that couch.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
You don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
NBC's Colin jos is only seven toes down in his
Olympic coverage in Tahiti because the SNL star has been
dealing with a pretty nasty injury after a run in
with a reef. Did you guys see this on Instagram?
The Weekend Update anchor, who took his shoes off. He
gave us a photo of his shoes, said that a
reef was very excited to greet him and he has

(03:11):
some of his toes wrapped up. He wrote, you know
it's going great when you've been to the Olympic medical
tent more than any of the athletes, because he really
badly hurt a couple of his toes.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Of course, why wouldn't some people be angry? Some people
thought it was funny.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Some people said they are calling for a more legit
reporter to give athletes their shine. Some are saying, even
put in Jason Brown, send him to Tahiti.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
A lot of people have been saying that. A lot
of people have been saying, why is in Jason Brown
part of the coverage? And I don't have an answer
for that. I know your agents were talking to their
people and just they couldn't come to him.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Get the number, right? Yeah, I know why.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Wrong was talking about this gig and apparently like Colin
just went to NBC and said, I'm doing the Tahiti coverage.
Maybe he was kidding. I don't know, and they're like, okay, great,
and they sent him to Tahiti, Like that's just he
just asked for the job.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
I guess, look a sup dog, suom Dog's all, hey,
send me to Paris. Guys literally hanging out every family right,
why uncle snoop out here? Yeah, hanging out with the
gold medalists every day.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yeah, maybe he should run.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I need to go to Tahaiti to cover the Olympics
for iHeart Radio.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I don't know why that no one thought of that.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
When people think Olympics, and they especially after last week
the five K, when people think Olympics and when people
think Tahiti, they think, me, you.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Look like an Olympia.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I know.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Literally, people have been saying a lot of a lot
of people have been like, why aren't you at the
Olympics right now, competing in whatever sport you must compete in.
And what I tell them is I retired. I already retired.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Full check out that workout video that we have on Instagram.
I know, I know a lot of people. I know,
I know, be careful.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Because Colin's now doing coverage with no shoes on for
all of you know, the whole world to watch.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
If you I want to.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Speaking of the Olympics, listen to them, you can on
our free iHeartRadio app. Also search the Freend Show for
everything you may have missed.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
It's all on demand right there.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
