Kaelin's Entertainment Report: R. Kelly Is Asking To Throw Out His Convictions

R Kelly is asking the United States Supreme Court to
throw out his convictions, claiming that his allege acts occurred
decades ago and the charges were different then.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
So here's the deal.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
When r Kelly was accused in twenty twenty of possessing
child pornography then engaging in sexual acts with underage girls
in the mid to late nineties, he argued that the
statue of limitations had already run its course. Prosecutors then
argued that a two thousand and three law called the
Protect Act made the statute of limitations indefinite for child

sex crimes. Now, his lawyer is arguing that he is
currently serving time for things that occur before this Protect
Act was put into place, it didn't exist. Remember, he
got a twenty year sentence after he was convicted of
six of thirteen counts. Like I said back in twenty twenty,
Now it's up to the Supreme Court to decide in
the next few months whether or not they're going to

NBC's Colin jos is only seven toes down in his
Olympic coverage in Tahiti because the SNL star has been
dealing with a pretty nasty injury after a run in
with a reef. Did you guys see this on Instagram?
The Weekend Update anchor, who took his shoes off. He
gave us a photo of his shoes, said that a
reef was very excited to greet him and he has

some of his toes wrapped up. He wrote, you know
it's going great when you've been to the Olympic medical
tent more than any of the athletes, because he really
badly hurt a couple of his toes.

Of course, why wouldn't some people be angry? Some people
thought it was funny.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Some people said they are calling for a more legit
reporter to give athletes their shine. Some are saying, even
put in Jason Brown, send him to Tahiti.

A lot of people have been saying that. A lot
of people have been saying, why is in Jason Brown
part of the coverage? And I don't have an answer
for that. I know your agents were talking to their
people and just they couldn't come to him.

Get the number, right? Yeah, I know why.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Wrong was talking about this gig and apparently like Colin
just went to NBC and said, I'm doing the Tahiti coverage.
Maybe he was kidding. I don't know, and they're like, okay, great,
and they sent him to Tahiti, Like that's just he
just asked for the job.

I guess, look a sup dog, suom Dog's all, hey,
send me to Paris. Guys literally hanging out every family right,
why uncle snoop out here? Yeah, hanging out with the
gold medalists every day.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yeah, maybe he should run.

I need to go to Tahaiti to cover the Olympics
for iHeart Radio.

I don't know why that no one thought of that.

When people think Olympics, and they especially after last week
the five K, when people think Olympics and when people
think Tahiti, they think, me, you.

Look like an Olympia.

I know.

Literally, people have been saying a lot of a lot
of people have been like, why aren't you at the
Olympics right now, competing in whatever sport you must compete in.
And what I tell them is I retired. I already retired.
