Speaker 1 (00:00):
Caitlin's entertainment report is on the Bread Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Brothers Travis and Jason Kelsey addressed Jason smashing that dude's
phone to the ground after he called his brother a
homophobic slur on this week's episode of their podcast Now.
He did address it briefly Monday, but he was doing
football coverage, so the brothers talked about it more in
depth on their podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Oh you're ready for your audio, I'm ready, dear. So
I was reading a text about how okay, what what
are you do now? Immigrant children to experience to tell
about their experience, but I didn't ask Keiki.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I think Kekey got plenty in on that last segment.
I thank you, Frank.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, I actually left.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I'm going for I didn't realize I wasn't balanced enough.
I'm sorry she's not in the room. Yeah yeah, I
asked everybody, well, I was really speaking specifically to the
first generation.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
People's parents immigrants.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
No'm sorry that.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
It's just ridiculous and it takes it to another level.
It's it's it's just off the wall and over the line.
And as the humanizing and gun on my skin and
an elicited a reaction and like in the heat of
the moment, I thought, and I head, Hey, what what
what can I say back to him? I'm gonna throw
that right back in his face because Kim, I know
now that that was I shouldn't have done that, because

(01:26):
now there's a video out there with me saying that word,
him saying that word, and it's not good for anybody.
I think what I do regret is that now there's
a there's a video that is very hateful that is
now online that has been seen by millions of people,
and I share a fault and perpetuating it and having
that out there.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
I know it's weighing on your brother that you shouldn't
you shouldn't feel this much. Obviously, the scrutiny and are
the media like view on it and everybody passing around
the videos that are being out there, I mean, that's uh,
that's gonna make it a bigger situation then I think
what it really is. But the real situation is you
had some clown come up to you and talk about

(02:06):
your family, and you reacted in a way that was
defending your family, and you might have used some words
that you regret using. And that's a situation that we're
you just got to kind of learn from and own
and I think you owning it and you speaking about
it shows how sincere you are to a lot of
people in this world.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And I agree. I agree with everything he's saying, the
amount of the amount of guilty seems to feel. I
love for having been involved in that situation and using
that word. I really appreciate that that being said. If
he hadn't been provoked, this never would have happened. Yeah, right,
I understand he can't. You know, you shouldn't reply that way,
But that's cooler heads prevail. Yeah, in the moment, he

(02:50):
matched the energy.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Yeah, I mean, we are supposed to have control over ourselves. However,
he's human. He heard something upset him, he reacted, and
it seems like he's learning about from it.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
He apologized.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Let's get back to a place where that's okay, please,
and let's leave that man alone.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I love this.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
The other guy, yeah right, where's the kid? Where's the
other person? Why is the other person not hard?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Well?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
This is exactly the problem, right right, A person who
provoked it is the victim, right exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I want to see his face because you are using
that word. I want to see your face, and we
want to talk to you immediately.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
And here's the guy who, again he shouldn't have repeated
the word. I think we all agree, but he was
a victim of this. He was a victim of a
verbal attack, and he's the one harboring all the guilt.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
I don't get it, yep. So let's you know, let
him learn from that, and he's a good man.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
On Savannah, Ariana Grande is moving away from making pop
music after working on Wicked and realizing that she kind
of wants to pivot her entire career. So she was
talking to her Wicked co star Bowen Yang and Matt
Rogers on their last Culture Resa's podcast, which is amazing.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
She said, I'm going to say something scary.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I'm going to scare the absolute spit out of my fans,
but I love them and they'll deal and we'll be
here forever.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I'm all, he's going to make music. I'm gonna go
on stage. I'm gonna do pop stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I pinky promise, But I don't think doing it at
the rate I've been doing it for the past ten
years is where I see the next ten years. She
added that reconnecting with this part of herself, heals her
and she actually got emotional while she was talking about it,
and she said, I think it's a lot better for me.
And while we're talking about that really quick, I want
to mention if you don't, if you do, go see
the movie Jason and I are going. You will see
Ari listed as Ariana Grandi Utera.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
In the credits.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
And it's because she wanted to reflect the way it
was who she was when she first saw the play
on Broadway as a ten year old. That experience also
included a backstage visit to see Kristin Chenowick, who played Glinda.
And it's full circle and it's amazing, and that's a
happy story to leave you with, because this world is
a little wild right now. By the way, you can
