Speaker 1 (00:01):
Another episode of the Key Key Court podcast, bringing you
another case that did not make it on the air.
But of course we don't leave these cases just laying
around the courtroom, Okay. I want to make sure I
get your cases read and that the thirteen can always
weigh in and give their opinions. So of course I
posted a video already all my socials with this case,

(00:25):
but I'm bringing it here for you to wait in
as well. And I really want to bring people on
a podcast, so just let me know of my dms.
I know I'm still getting through a lot of my
dms because so many people were like congratulations with the
engagement news. So I'm still coming through everything if you've
already reached out, but definitely want to start bringing some
people on. I'm trying to start wedding planning, but you know,

(00:51):
I don't know. I'm just gonna take it one day
at a time and then hopefully within the next couple
weeks I'll actually have a wedding date. Like I really
want to get a date on the books, because then
you can kind of look forward to you know something,
and you can plan and tell people you know what
the actual date is. But as for now, it looks
like you gotta have at least twenty thousand dollars ready

(01:13):
to even secure a date. So I don't know, friend,
It's just a lot going on with me. Oh and
I do have an announcement coming soon that I can't
wait to share with you. But anyway, let's get into
the case. It says Heiki key, am I wrong for
telling my roommate that she can't bring her boyfriend over
every night since he doesn't pay rent. My name is Morgan.
I live with my roommate and we split rent and

(01:35):
utilities fifty to fifty. But lately her boyfriend has basically
moved in. He's here five to six nights a week.
He showers here, he eats the food that I buy,
and he even does his laundry in our washing machine.
I finally told her, look, if he's gonna be here
this much, he needs to either chip in or you

(01:56):
need to cover more of the rent and utilities. She
got souper. He's defensive and said he is my guest.
I'm allowed to have guests. You don't get to control
my relationship and who sleeps over in my room. I said,
occasional guests are fine, but at this point, he's here
more than I am, and it feels like I'm paying

(02:17):
for his spot in this apartment. She accused me of
being jealous and policing her happiness. Oh girl, please, Now,
the apartment vibe is super awkward, and some of our
friends think that I'm right, while others say it's none
of my business who she brings over. So, Kiki, am
I wrong for telling my roommate that her boyfriend needs

(02:37):
to either pay rent or stop living here? Hmm? Morgan, Morgan, Morgan,
I don't do the roommate thing, and that is for
this reason. I know everybody else don't have the luxury,
but let me tell you, I would rather work two
jobs and get a roommate because of stuff like this.
I don't think you're wrong at all. I don't think

(02:57):
you're wrong because if somebody is staying in a home
five to six nights a week, he's doing laundry there,
he's eating food, he's taking showers, he lives there, and
it sounds like he doesn't have anywhere else to live.
Because if he did, then I feel like your roommate,
after you approached her, maybe she would suggest going to
his place. But it doesn't sound like the man has

(03:18):
a place. So no, I don't think you're wrong at all.
I don't think you're wrong. And if I was you,
I don't know when you signed your least, but I
would be looking at other options. I would be looking
for other roommates, because nobody wants to live in a
home with an extra person there who isn't contributing to
the house, but yet getting all of the benefits. And
then on top of that, he's a guy. You know,

(03:40):
you two are girl, So like, if you want to
wear your little pajamas at night or you're going out,
you're going to get a midnight snack and he's in
the kitchen and he's like, you didn't sign up to
live with him. You signed up to live with her.
So I don't think you're wrong at all. If I
was you, I would be looking for other options in
planning to leave the lease or whatever, because she's like,

(04:00):
she's not even I mean, if you're a roommate, you
can at least try to be like, oh, maybe we'll
you know, I'll have him come over last, or maybe
we'll go to his place. She's just like, oh, you're jealous,
jealous of what? Girl? You're homeless man. Please. Yeah, you're
not wrong in my opinion, Morgan. But I'll let the
thirteen way in of course on my Instagram at on

(04:20):
air Key Key at Fredshell Radio, the video will will
be posted there, and you guys, of course let me
know what you think. I know we don't always agree,
but that's why I talk to the jury, because I'm
not always right. You know. There was a case recently,
which one was it where everybody was like, no, Kiki,
you're wrong. Which one was it? Oh? The girl who

(04:46):
she wanted her sister to take her kids for the weekend,
and her sister was like no, like, you and your
husband keep your own kids. I'm not babysitting your kids.
I'm not taking your kids. You know, because they were like, well, oh,
we need a break and we want to get ourselves together,
so can you take the kids? And the sister was
like no, I was speaking of what I would do
for my siblings, and I realized that that is not
everybody's situation. So you guys are right and saying like, hey, no,

(05:10):
it's not her sister's responsibility to take care of her kids.
I agree with you there, It's not a responsibility but
for me personally, as an aunt to a lot of nephews,
I couldn't imagine turning my nephews away. But I get
what everybody was saying. So that's why I have to
have you as the jury. So let me know what
you think about this case. Is Morgan wrong? I say,

(05:31):
she's not wrong at all, But let me know your thoughts.
And of course we'll be back in the courtroom with
a new case Monday morning on the Fred Show, and
we might get another one tomorrow too on the podcast
I just got. I got so many and there's so
much stuff going on around here, a lot of people
visiting from out of town, so hopefully I can get
to it. But either way, love you friend, have an
amazing day.
