And I'm gonna stay consistent in the court room because
I got all these cases, and yes, I got a
lot going on.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
I'm fighting for my life. I'm trying to make it
to LA.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
But you know what, we got work to do, So
let's get right into the courtroom.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
This case is crazy, it says Kiki.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Am I wrong for refusing to return the ten thousand
dollars I found hidden in my boyfriend's closet, even after
finding out it was a part of some illegal activity
he was involved with. Ooh, so this all started when
I broke up with my boyfriend Derek after four chaotic
years together. He was always kind of sketchy. He did

random late night runs, weird phone calls, and he never
really held down a steady job, but always had enough
money to get by. I ignored a lot of red
flags because he was fine and that was my type.
Mm hmm, girl been there. After the breakup, I moved out,
but I still had a spare key and I left
behind a you boxes at the house. One day, I

came back to pick up my boxes while he was
at work, and I noticed that he had clearly been
having a little company over, probably another chick, but that
wasn't my business. However, upon taking my final items out
of the closet, I noticed a random shoe box tucked
under a laundry bag, and my curiosity got the best

of me. I pulled it open and I found a
small duffel bag stuffed with ten thousand dollars in cash.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
It was like a damn movie scene. Oo girl.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I freaked out, called my best friend, and after talking
to her, I decided to keep the money.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I moved out of state that same week.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Used the money to put down rent and pay off
credit cards, and I told myself maybe it was drug money,
Maybe he was scamming, maybe it was crypto. I don't
know what it was, but I didn't care. I had
the money and I was gone. But then, about a
month later, Derek called me in a panic asking about
the money. I played dumb and denied taking it. He

didn't believe me, and he kept saying that that money
could cost him his life. I said, well, maybe one
of your little holes took it, and then I hung
up on him. Ooh girl, But now I feel bad
and I would hate to see something happen to him.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Over the money.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Should I tell him I took it and help him
replace it? Oh, my lancer girl. First of all, I mean, okay,
congratulations on getting out of a toxic four your relationship, girl,
kudos to you, But I feel like the ten thousand
dollars is for your pain and suffering of being in
that relationship. The one thing about dating somebody who was
doing something illegal in the streets, there is always a

chance that they could lose some money, They can get robbed,
anything can happen. So I understand he's calling you in
a panic talking about he could lose his life. But
if Derek can figure out how to have holes and
keep an apartment and not keep a job, I'm sure
he can figure out how to work his way out
of this situation. You already took the money, You already

moved you in a whole nother state. Now, if you
come clean and tell this man that you took the money,
who knows what he might do to you because he's
he's clearly a criminal, okay, and you you ain't much better.
But at the end of the day, you tell him
you took the money, now, he might send the bad
guys after you listen Derek took a chance by putting

that money in that shoe box and having different women
in and out of that house.

If I was you, I would.

Stick to my story of that might have been one
of the other girls and that's it.
