Text Holiday to five seven, seven three nine right now
for a chance to win. A confirmation text will be
sent standard message and data rates may apply. It's all
thanks to Live Nation. It's Kiki's Court. Okay, all right,
the honorable Kikilik. He's here, Judge Kiky, if you would
present the case.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
All right, let's get into the courtroom. The gabble has
been hit, it says, hey, Kiki.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
HiT's Ashley.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
My best friend Morgan kicked me out of her bridal
party one month before the wedding because she said I
didn't lose enough weight.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Jason.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
She told me I wouldn't fit her aesthetic unless I
dropped thirty pounds. I was heartbroken, but I had already
paid for my bridesmaid dress, so I still went to
the wedding as a guest in the same dress that
the bridesmaids were. But I sat down as a guest.
I wasn't wasting my money. People kept asking me at
(01:16):
the wedding why wasn't I up there with the other girls,
So I told them the truth. Now Morgan is furious,
saying that I ruined her wedding and stole her spotlight
by making people ask the question. So, Kiki, am I
wrong for wearing the bridesmaid dress and telling people what
really happened?
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Mama? Wow?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yes, wow, can't turn out you say you well? I
think okay, Morgan is wrong. The bride to me is
absolutely wrong. You do not ask someone to stand and
be your bridesmaid and then kick them out of the
wedding because they don't fit an aesthetic. If I was
fluffy and fine when you asked me okay, I was
going to be fluffy and fine at your wedding too.
(01:58):
So I don't know why you thought because you getting married,
I need to lose some weight the girl. If I've
been big our whole friendship, it's not gonna change because
you're getting married. I think that is insane to kick
somebody out a month before the wedding. She's already purchased
a dress you. That is totally wrong. Now I wouldn't
have gone to the wedding at all, No, I would
(02:18):
have just set that out. But I understand you wanted
to be petty, because that was very petty. You went
to the wedding, you wore the bridesmaid's dress anyway, and
then just sat down in the audience. So of course
people were going to ask the question of like, you
know what what's going on? So you knew what you
were doing at that point. But I do think she
was totally wrong for kicking you out of the wedding.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
That was terrible. Oh you guys have a jury made
five five three five. Yeah. I mean the point of
being a bridesmaid or a groomsman or whatever in a
wedding is it's spiritual, right, Like, it's it's representative. It's
it's you've been in my life forever and you're supporting
me as I make this commitment. It has nothing to
do with how you look. I mean, what do you do?
(02:57):
I've heard of people getting pregnant and then it's like, wow,
doesn't fit to look either, But it's like what do
you I mean what are you gonna do? Like, that's
my friend. I don't care if you're pregnant or not pregnant.
I don't care if you injure yourself. I don't care
if you have a cast or wind up in a wheelchair.
Like you're gonna be up there with me, because that's
the point. It has nothing to do with what you
look like. That seems very obvious.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Right, Yeah, I think we've a society. I've taken this
aesthetic thing a little too far. Christmas is no longer
the same. Nothing feels the same anymore than it once did.
And I feel like now we're aesthetically gonna be pleasing
with our bridal party, Like those are human beings exactly,
not like an Instagram like collage like or something like
these are people exactly.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
What does Christmas have to do with that?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
I get really sad because I feel like my daughter's
not going to grow up in the same nostalgia Christmas era,
like with all like the bright colors and the lights
and stuff. Now it's like gray Christmas or you've been Christmas.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Dollar ye. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Esthetic people do it for like the Instagram photos and
the Pinterest boards and stuff, and it's very pretty, but
it has to be a certain way, certain look.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I don't like it. Yeah, I mean, I'm not going
to the wedding if you invite me for essentially gaining weight,
because that you're obviously not my friend exactly. Like, I'm
problem solved. Thanks, you just saved me a bunch of
time and money. Like we're not in friends really, so
I'm not even going, So I don't have to buy
your stupid dress or go to your stupid wedding or
swing on your stupid swing. Wait, hold on.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I would never kick you out of my wedding for
it if you gained a few pounds.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Never. Well, that's good because it's bound to happen one
way or the other. It depends on the week.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, but I've heard of brides being very like, you know,
they pick a dress that may not be flattering on
everybody type.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
You know, people do that, which is already rude in
my opinion, that's what I say too.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
And then you know, people want a certain aesthetic for
their wedding. But it's like you knew what your friend
looked like before you requested her to be a bridesmaid,
so to put the type of pressure on her and say,
you must lose thirty pounds before my wedding, I think
is incredibly selfish and rude, extremely rude, that's right.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
So then I want to know what people's reaction is.
Eight five? What three to five? You can call it?
Text the same number? Hey, Crystal, Hi?
Speaker 4 (05:05):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Hi? Krystal? The morning you heard God judge Kiki and
Kiki square? What say you?
Speaker 5 (05:11):
I say that the bride is crazy just because it
happened to my mom. So it was with her sister
in law. Actually, so my mom, actually my dad's brother
was marrying my aunt now and she was pregnant with
my sister and they were best friends. And my aunt
told her that she was not allowed to be in
(05:32):
the wedding because she didn't fit the dress style because
she was pregnant.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Wow, nikes. Wow see And I don't even know that
I understand that. I mean, I guess maybe the matching
color thing, and then it said, maybe that looks nice
up there visually, But then you know, if you're telling people, well,
the thing I've heard lately is it's okay, everybody wear
the same color. Well, but then you know that that
can be the colors won't necessarily be all exactly right,
(06:00):
so that would look a little bit weird. And I
don't know, maybe I don't know how you do it really,
but how about we just don't how about does it
really matter what you look like when you're standing up there,
because this whole thing is supposed to be about something
very different exactly.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
But it's crazy because they're best friend and she's still
my aunt and still my mom, and they don't talk
really to this day.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
If somebody told me I was too fat to be
in their wedding, I probably wouldn't duck to anymore either,
So I kind of get d Yeah, thank you, Chris.
So I'm glad you called it.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
The petty part though I like the petty part with her.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's true. Thank you, Chrystal. Have
a good day.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Thank you you too.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I'd be like I might wore your ugly dress either,
you know. Elis Hi Lee's Hello, Hello, Elise. I mean
we got to go through this again. You call the radio,
you hang on for five minutes. Hey Marta girl, Hey,
(07:00):
how's it going? Hey Martha, good morning. So Keeky's Court. Basically,
a woman was uninvited from being from standing in a
wedding because she gained weight, and then she showed up
anyway in the ugly dress to say, no, look I
look fine, check me out. What would you do?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Oh my gosh. So I feel like they're wrong on
both parts, right, I think the bride horrible decision to
say that she shouldn't have done that. That's so wrong.
And you're absolutely right they're not friends, Like, if you're
gonna do that, you're not friends anymore. And also super
petty of her to show up. I completely agree she
should have never shown up if she wanted to like that,
(07:37):
she's the type of person then right, Like, we know
she's super petty if she's going to show up with
that dress at the wedding. Here's the other thing, like
the Devil's advocate, right, was she related to somebody in
the wedding, like was the groom her brother? Or was
she just a friend? If she was related in some way,
then I could see her going. But absolutely wrong on
(07:58):
both parties. She should have never gone, and the bride
should have never been a total See you next Thursday,
come on.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah yeah and wait to sense to yourself there. I
like that, Marta, have a good day.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Hey, thanks, guys, and.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I'm gonna push the button again. At least, don't you
punish me again. At least, don't you at least don't
you make me regret this. Oh? Thank god, Oh, thank god.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Hi, I'm here.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Hi, Oh boy, what do you want to say? Good morning?
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Welcome, Good morning guys.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
So I was in a wedding like two years ago,
you know, so, I mean the bride means we're.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
All safe, size of colors, whatever. I mean, I don't
think that that should matter. And she knew what she
was doing when she asked her and that should never
be a thing. Oh, you've got to lose weights of
you and my wedding. No, that's not happening. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
No, no, I agree. At least, thank you. I'm glad
you called back. Have a good day, Yes, love you,
good bye? Okay. Yeah, I mean I think that's what
it comes down to is is that person is not
your friend, and so I don't I probably wouldn't. Not
only not well, I was uninvited from being the wedding,
but I'm also not going to go to the wedding,
like if I if I was supposed to be in
the wedding and I'm too fat to stand up there
(09:05):
according to you, then I'm also not going like I'm
gonna take my Saturday back and watch Dateline, like I
don't need to be at your stupid thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Or you could show up and let everybody know just
how evil the bride is because that's what she did.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, take it to hell. You don't want to know
which one you do well? No least surprising news ever.
But the problem is, even if you're in the right
to be offended and heard, you still wind up looking
bad by showing up and being paid, Like you're setting
yourself up to look bad even though you're in the right.
So why do that to yourself? You know, because like
(09:39):
now you're the villain because you showed up to the
wedding to be petty, even though she's the villain for
uninviting you to begin with. I just don't I don't
think I want to put myself in that in that
situation for the narrative to be whatever the bride makes
it to be.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
That's true, but you know, the friendship is clearly over,
so I might as well get my link back before
I leave.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Might as well, you know, get a
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Little jab in there before we call an open bar, yeah,
every days, yeah,
