Speaker 1 (00:00):
He's the Fred Show, Good Morning on the radio and
the iHeart app as well.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Search for The Fred Show on demand.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
We don't do the clappy thing anymore because it's it's
corny and so. But but I want you to feel welcome.
Karamo is here on the Fred Show this morning. Silence.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I'm for myself, all right.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Never know, it sounds weird if we don't clap. It's
just like Como's here in the complete silence.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
It's called self esteem for a reason. I'm going to
my own all right. I'm happy to you all.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
I know we love having you here. It seems like
it's several times a.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Year, I know.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Do you have a minute to join us for a
segment that we do around this time.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I will join you all for as long as you'll
have me.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Well, in that case, let me play the intro.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Here.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Hold on, we're going to the courtroom.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah we are, all right. So this is Key Coamo.
So she has glasses for each week. Yes, those I
haven't seen before. I don't think they're flying.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Thank you, Thank you, I got them for what you
got your purse.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Okay, we're shop together.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
To honor in the court. Honor in the court the
honorable Kiki presiding. I'm the bailiff apparently, see yeah, I'm out. Yes,
So look ahead, what are we presiding over today?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
Okay, this case is hot off the press, it says
Judge Kiki. My name is Sabrina, And first off, you
guys looked so good at Pride. My friend and I
were screaming at you guys from your float. But it's
crazy that I went from screaming at you all to
end of the night screaming at my best friend. Get
into this. So every year I go to the Pride
parade with my high school best friend, and this year

(01:41):
was no different. We both lived out in the suburbs,
but we made a plan to drive into the city
early to park and watch the parade.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Per usual, my friend made us late.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Finding a parking spot was insane, so we drove around
for almost an hour trying to find a spot until
my friend spotted an open parking spot right on a
side street near the parade route. Now, my spidey senses
told me that this was too good to be true,
but my friend ensured me that it was fine, so
we parked. After the parade, we hung out with friends,

(02:12):
and upon returning to get in the car. The car
was nowhere to be found. Kiki, I'm riding this at
ten pm and I still don't have my car.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You know why Crimel's bus ran it over, So.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
She says, my so called friend took no accountability and
instead just screamed at me and said that I was overreacting.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So we split in uber ride home.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
But I know that I'll be out of at least
two hundred and fifty dollars to get my car back.
I honestly feel like he should pay for this in full.
I'm not even gay. I only go to the parade
to support him. Am I wrong for expecting this.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
She was looking for?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
When you just throw in there, I start to have questions,
but I'm not by I really am.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Okay, this is right up to you.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
You are the they call you the culture guy on
Queer Eye, but you're more like the what does that
even mean?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Like you give the advice you make people cry?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Mental health mental mental health. I was a social worker
for almost a decade and so license across this world,
but not anymore. But so I work with the mental health.
That's what I do. But culture is a throwback to
the old title. Yeah, well, I've been watching for so long,
you know what, I don't know. I can't keep up
with it. I was watching you back when you were
staying at the Hilton and not the four season. I

(03:41):
watched you, You're right, I watched you you emerge.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
So what do we do here? Who's who's in the right?
Who's in the Rooirl?

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Do it matter that you're not gay? Like that you
go to the parade? So now he needs to pay
you the money because you're not gay?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
What is that do with anything?

Speaker 5 (03:55):
But you know what I always preach guys, the spidey
senses are therefore a reason the Lord told you not
to park in a parking spot. So no, I don't
think he needs to give you anything because you knew better.
He sent you a sign to not do it, and
you did it anyway.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
You should split it, right.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
I mean, that's a nice thing to do, that's courteous.
But your spidy senses told you not to park there.
That's your responsibility. Okay, judge said what she said? You
did say that?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
She said?

Speaker 1 (04:23):
She says, well, you're an honorary jured today. So what
do you think, Karama? You followed the judge.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Let me tell you what I learned being a being
a boy who grew up in a household of black women.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Judge Kky, you are.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Correct that right now one thing very different enable do
not do it. Judge Kky, I trust everything you said.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
If you were to say something different, though, you must
have a take on this.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I mean, I actually think that it's true. You have
to be accountable for your own actions. I think when
we look at I just said it earlier, when we
were like do we clap? Self esteem is about me.
This is my car. I'm making the decision. If I
want to be influenced, I have to take accountability that
I decided to be influenced by someone else's decision to
park here. Because now your expectation is because I followed you,

(05:11):
you should pay for half. And the reality of it
is is you followed yourself and if you didn't, you
would be in that position.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
And so I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Your spotty senses said yes. Now, if they're a good friend,
they will say, I know, girl, you're not gay, and.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
You I know you just came here. I mean, if
you have.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Don't have the money, maybe this Ki Courch would be
about something else.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
We need to get some bring in. Yeah, okay, so
if it was.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
An if she were a nice or he were a
nice friend or whomever, then they would say, let me,
let me me split this with you, because this is
kind of on me.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
The bigger lesson here is accountability for our own selves.
We walk came into this world and we're walking through it,
and we have to make choices and be empowered by
trusting our own instincts. And I think we live in
a world right now where sometimes we start not to
trust our own instincts. And the more you can trust
your instincts, I promise you, the better life you'll have.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Look at how he just turned this into like an
actual episode of this was intelligent. It was it was
It was deep okay, drift kikies a little different.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Way.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Well, and we know that it roofy over here where
if you were in the car, you wouldn't offer.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
To pay you.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
No, No, that's your car, that's your problem.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
You know, if you'd be the first to stay park illegally,
yeah yeah, I'd be like you.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Just parking good and then it's gone, that's not my problem. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
How did the friend get home though? Oh?

Speaker 5 (06:57):
They said they split an uber. You know they split
the open nest. No, no, again, she need to get
her priorities together.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
You're going to split an uber with the person who
just told you they're not going to help you out
with your car, so you're devaluing yourself from beginning to
end of the night. So that's all on her. Yeah, wow, damn,
someone needs to practice their self esteem.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
What does that have to.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Do with having to pay? I mean, if I didn't
have to go to your gate, it would be up
to the city.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
For the rest of the every interview I do, I'm
gonna be like, I'm not gay, I'm not gay. Welcome,
I'm not gay. First, well, we didn't ask.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
D the best part of the story, why are you game? Internet?

Speaker 6 (08:10):
I send it to everyone. I send it to everyone.
I promise you I could go through twenty d ms
right now. That came like yesterday.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
We quote it all the time because there was.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Someone who put up and said, like, send this to
everyone who has a letter J And it's like and
the person is there, and then all of a sudden
it comes in, why.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Are you get work? I told you I love the
Friend Show.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
We're gonna start seeing Friend Show topics on the second.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Today we have some brain.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yes, Okay, you know it's going to be good anyway,
hopefully you know my disheveled look and send me lots
of clothes today. Will I got to I just I
should have been even more disheveled. If I had really
been thinking, I would have just totally gone.

Speaker 3 (09:08):

will take. All it will take you meet the five
of us. We're literally going to give you all the
stuff that we have. So I'm just gonna look at
me and go this charity case. I mean, it wouldn't
be wrong, but I just want to go shopping with you.
But now that you got to season two, syndication, you're
paying Okay, got it done, done it perfect.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
So everybody watched Caramo and so you get how does
this work? You go season to season until you like
eventually they say your Oprah and they give you five
seasons at a time, or how does it go?

Speaker 3 (09:35):
That's it? We just got people have keep tuning in
and like I got to say, Chicago in season one
was my top rated city throughout. So I have a
special love, you know what I mean, Because we felt
confidentbou getting season two. But Chicago definitely pushed us right over,
