Okay, take it away? Sorry sorry, sir, oh okay.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well that's what says, Uh, Hey, Kiki.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
My name is Alyssa and I've been planning the wedding
of my dreams for the last year, and unfortunately, a
month out from my big day, I just found out
that I have the wedding photographer from hell. Like most
when planning our wedding, we've gone way over budget. So
I asked my photographer. I sent her an email and
asked her if there was any way that we can

(01:39):
work out a discount on her price. I told her
that since I'm the director of events for this company
that will remain nameless. She said, I can hire her
for events at my job and just overcharge the company
to make up the money she'd be willing.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
To take off my wedding bill.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Oh my God.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
To my surprise, declined my offer, but also decided to
drop out of my wedding altogether. Now a month away,
for I have no photographer and a very limited budget.
A few of my other vendors have been so understanding
and actually thankful for my offer to bring them more business.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Can you believe this?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Okay, so she's going to get discounts on her personal event,
her wedding, her wedding by fleecing her employer exactly, okay,
And so what I.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Mean, well not great. So I mean, here's the thing,
what do you think.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Well, Alyssa, I am going to hold your hand when
I say this is that is fraud.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Okay, it's giving very much fraud because.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
It's one thing where you and I worked in fast
food and we traded a sub sandwich for or you
didn't work in fast.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Food, but we have.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah you served, You've traded a Blockbuster video for a pizza.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Right, right, But I mean it's still stealing, but it's
like it's nice stealing. It's community I like to call
it outreach. Yeah, that's why I like to go Personally,
it was free food, but I like to call it outreach.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
But yeah, it's community outreach.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Right.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
But to say that girl that if you give me
a discount on my wedding, I will not only book
you for my job's events, but overcharge my job to
make up the money, that's Fraudsis, And you should be
happy that this lady just decided to back out of
doing your wedding instead of reporting you to the company
that you wrote in this email, which I won't say,

(03:40):
but it's the overcharging for me, the audacity for me,
because also you can't go over budget on your wedding
and then make that your vendors problem.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Like no, I mean, I suppose if you go in
way over, you could go back and say, I'm gonna
have to cancel you unless we can like renegotiate it, right,
Like I need the price to go down, so if
that means I get less services or fewer services or whatever,
but like, we gotta have to work this out because
I went way over, and who knows, maybe some of
the vendors would rather have the business than not have
the business. But you guys are the Jerry eight five

(04:12):
five five nine one o three five. But I will
say this, there are a number of people involved in hospitality,
be at a hotel, concierge, be it. I'm trying to
think of some other examples. I'm sure wedding planners. I mean,
think about this. If you're a wedding planner and you're
constantly going to this band or this DJ, or this
caterer or this venue when you go to get married,

(04:35):
I bet it's not uncommon that they all give you
a deal on your wedding because you're giving them so
much business, so it's kind of a nice thing to do,
or like a hotel concierge, like if you go to
a lot of the nice like fancy hotels, will have
somebody there that will tell you where to go eat
dinner or whatever. And the restaurants oftentimes give those guys
free food because they want you to say their restaurant.

(04:58):
So I don't know that that it's uncommon for them
to be favors, like if you're an event planner. But
as far as making it up on the back end
by charging your company more, Oh my god, that's that's
the part that's got to be well illegal.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
That's illegal, like you should look, you could lose your
job doing that. Am I am I crazy? Because no,
not at all, thank you. That is very legal.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
But like Jason, you deal with a lot of different
vendors for things, and sometimes they call you up and say, hey,
do you want to go to the answer, here's tickets
to that or whatever because they're just being nice.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
It's like a relationship building. Yeah yeah, I think it's
but you're not then.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Going back to you know whomever and going, oh yeah
those tickets, those were four hundred bucks. I'm gonna need
you to pass, you know what I mean, Like, you're
not you're not fleecing the company.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
Right, or someone gives you something, you know, I'm not like, oh,
submitted invoice, then we'll just cut you a check like
on the back end.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Like that's wild, that is crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, it is insane.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
That lady missing out though the photographer, Oh oh please
do tail.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
She could have got more, she could have got a
lot more jobs on this lady.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
But rufio, that's stealing.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
She's not stealing. Somebody's stealing the The lady getting married
is stealing. But the photographer would have got all these
other jobs. She don't know where that money is coming from.
That's not on her.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
She's up to this funny business there, you know, no
telling what's going to happen to the photographer. At some
point she won't get paid or won't get a check
or a mail or common or Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I think it's one thing. It's to ask for a
deal because you went over budget. I think it's another
thing to say I might have to cancel you unless
we can work something out.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
That's one thing.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
I think it's another thing if you're in the event
planning business and you employ all these vendors all year
round for a bunch of other stuff, and you want
a deal on your wedding or you expect they're going
to hook you up a little bit. I think that's
just the way business is done. I think that's just
relationships right right. But as far as going, hey, look,
I need you to give me a deal, but I'll
make sure that my company, I'll just make sure that

(06:56):
we overpay you on other stuff so that it's equal.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Why do I sign not putting that on the record.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
You've now made me a part of the scale because
you're telling me that you're going to overcharge this company
to give me that money.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Now, I'm just as guilty as you. Watch.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, that's not my problem, that's her problem. Yeah, eight
three five, Hey Jennifer, good morning.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
I got a camera. I could do it.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Hey, good morning.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
So what do you think Kiki's course, So this woman
is basically fleecing her She's an event planner for a company,
and she's saying, Hey, for my personal wedding, I need
a deal, but I'll just make the event company pay
later on other events more to make it up.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
Yeah, I know, I think that bride is being really
sketchy about it. I don't think that's right at all.
I think the photographer was completely in the right to
tell her I don't want to do anything anymore just
because photographers there aren't so much demand, Like that could
backfire on her at some point. You know what if
this bride doesn't follow through with that deal or you know,

(07:58):
she could be just it's not on everything.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I'd get other way of this one. Yes, what I'd
be like, no out, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
And then she gets fired and you never get your money.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah, you gotta look at this as a long game here,
Like but then again, if you don't work something out
with this woman, then she's basically telling you like, I
won't book you anymore.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
So you know, but.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Well, I don't want to work for a thief.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Well, but who knows, you know, maybe I'm getting maybe
if I'm a DJ and I'm getting a ton of
business from this event planner, and then she's saying, hey,
I need a deal. Maybe what I would say is,
I'll give you a deal. I don't want anything on
the back end, like, don't involve me in your shenanigans.
Like I'll give you a deal because you give me
a lot of business. But what I don't want to
be involved in is your fraud, right, Like, just pay

(08:44):
me normal from you know, moving forward or whatever. I'm
going to hook you up because you call me ten
times a year and it can insist much money. So whatever,
but don't be I only part of your shenanigans, I.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Think is what you can.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
I hope she gets like a contract with that bride.
Then it's that type of agreement because you never know.
I mean, she's willing to make a deal like that anyway,
just even on the side and be sketchy with her employer. Now,
who's to say that she's actually going to follow through
with that photographer and give her the actual business later on.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Now here's a question, Jennifer and Keiky Judge Kiky. Let's
say that this woman's like, either you give me a
deal or I don't book you anymore.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Do you go over the top?

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Do you then go to this woman's boss at the
event company and go, hey, just so you know, she's
blackmailing me, just so you know, just so you know,
this woman is leveraging your company's relationships for her personal gain.
That woman's going to get fired, yes, but you you
probably will still get used because while you did throw
that girl under the bus, you also ethically did the

(09:41):
right thing.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Right. It's tough.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Yeah, I wouldn't go that.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
It pushed me, right, I would say the same thing.
I'm less like that bride was giving me like super
attitude and became like Bridezilla.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I'd probably just leave her.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
Doing what she's doing because, like I said, photographers get
booked so quick all the time. She's going to get
business either way.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, yeah, Jennifer, thank you, have a good day. But
I thought about that, like my sister's wedding planner. I
was kind of drunk. I think I asked her like,
oh no, no, when's yours? And I think she probably
doesn't appreciate that question, like when's your wedding? Like your
wedding's gonna be amazing, isn't it? Like, But that was
my point, was your wedding is going to be amazing
because you do everything from five hundred thousand dollars weddings

(10:25):
all the way down to fifty thousand dollars weddings to
twenty five thousand dollars way and so like all this stuff,
whether it's the fancy car or the DJ or the
band or the venue. I would think you get your
pick because if you're a well known wedding planner, I
would imagine these vendors want to make it worthy your
while and hook you up when the time comes so
that you remember that and keep calling them, right, I
would do it. If I'm a caterer and this woman's

(10:46):
giving me hundreds of thousands of dollars one thousands of
dollars worth of business a year, then I'm gonna maybe
I'll do it for free. Yeah, I mean think about it, Yeah,
because you know, or what does it cost me? You know,
maybe it cost me five thousand dollars in food or whatever.
I'm making this up. Maybe it cost me ten percent
or twenty percent of what I would have made. But
I'm gonna get all this business. She's never gonna call

(11:07):
another caterer because I hooked her up.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Well, what if she doesn't use you ever again after? Well,
but that's the risk you take.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
But that's but the difference here is we're not talking
about stealing from somebody else to make up for it.
We're just talking about relationship building. Hey TJ.

Speaker 8 (11:22):
Yeah, how you doing right?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Man?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Hey? What'd you want to say good morning.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
Yeah, I was calling every guy that kicky, what was up?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (11:31):
But I think the fuck the photographer did exactly how
to do it, the same thing. I'd be like, no way,
because this lady, she seems like she's just so cavalier
about it that she does this all the time to
do a business. So with a job her, you know,
she Okay, well, if I need some new you know,
furniture or something, you know, I can you know, give

(11:53):
you a discount or charge to you know, charge to
charge the company higher, you know, because I wouldn't want
to people out.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
With Yeah, no, it's not worth it.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
And plus you you know what if you get pinned,
is the as the thief essentially right right? Right?

Speaker 7 (12:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (12:11):
She walks away scott free, exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah, TJ, thank you. Have a great day.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Going through these texts, the jury says, the bride better
hope the photographer doesn't turn her in. See, that's what
I'm saying, because I'm not a snitch. But if I
found myself in a precarious situation where it's like my
word against hers.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
I don't know, right, she says she put this all
an email, which was not the smartest thing to do either. Listen. No,
weddings bring out the most desperate part in people sometimes, like.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
It's not cheap.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Everybody wants to know they want them.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
You were a scammer a little bit.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
No, we can't say on air what you can do,
I know, but you can know.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Okay, what was it? What was it about? What he's
talking about?

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Okay, you don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
As a wedding makeup artist. This is a text from
eight four seven. I've learned my lesson of having a
very detailed contract that states that they have to pay
even if someone doesn't show up. People are wild. Being
a vendor for a wedding is someone's job. I think
people feel like it's just hobbies or something. But to
ask for a discount on someone's profession after the event
date is just crazy. I guess my question would be, Yeah,

(13:33):
if you're like, if you were super irresponsible and you've
got like an ice sculpture and a water slide or
something at your wedding and you hired you know, floor
rider to complain, then uh, you know, to then go
back and say, hey, I need you to do you know,
your services for half.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
It's kind of messed up.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
But I'm sure it does happen where people have the
best intentions and they overspend, and so I guess unfortunately,
you would have to ask yourself as a vendor, like
do I want to get canceled or do I want
to But I mean, I would also imagine you can
tell the kind of people who are fleecing you and
the kind of people who just screwed up or maybe
they got to come back and say, hey, look I
need you to do a few fewer people because I

(14:11):
don't have the money for this.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
It was that part like you over spending or whatever,
over budgeting yourself, Like that's that's a you problem just
because you spend more money than you have.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
You're exactly right, But what's my alternative? If I'm the
m U A and as you know, I am gonna,
I'm always MUA, I'm constantly a time, every weekend, MUA
this and that. But if it's either take a little
bit lesser, get canceled, and if you believe the person
is like an honest individual, then I think you have
to ask yourself. But as far as it's other stuff,
where like I'll get you in the back end and

(14:41):
I'll give you money you don't deserve and somebody else's
money and no, no, yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
It's it's desperate times man.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Okay, all right, it's spend. It's been decided.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Scamming girl.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Okay, go to jail.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I hit the gavel, Straight to jail, yeah straight okay
