Thank you, dear blogs.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
So this weekend, Mike and I took a long weekend
and we went up to his family's lake house, just
for a little you know, lake time, little getaway. And
it's about two and a half hours away. And so
Thursday we left after the show so that you know,
we could beat rush hour get.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Up there in time.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Blah blah blah. So I go home, get everything in
the car, get the dogs in the car. We're all
picked up, ready to go. I'm about twenty minutes away
from his parents' house when I remember I forgot my
bag of stuff, which has everything I need in it.
It has my laptop, it has my charger, it has
my phone chargers, it has my medicine, it has everything.
(01:34):
I had my clothes bag because we put our clothes
in the same bag, but I didn't have my bag
of stuff. And when I tell you, I have never
been so mad. I've been this mad, but I've never
been so mad at myself. Like I could not blame
anybody but myself for this occurrence. Okay, so I just
(01:58):
start like I'm dry, and Mike's turn around, We'll go back.
I was like, no, the girls, I've been in the
car for almost three hours at this point, you are
not going to ruin your first day of vacation because
I'm an idiot, right, so I'm.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Like I'm driving.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I drove all the way to his parents' house, dropped
him and the dogs off, and I was like, Okay,
I'm gonna do it, like I've been up since three am,
but we're gonna make the three hour drive back and
then three hour drive home.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
So then I get there and his mom's already got
her purse in her hand.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
She's like, I'm going with you.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
You've been up too late, too long, like you got
up so early this morning, like I'm driving you, we
can switch off like whatever. I was like, please, like
let me be by myself. I'm so mad, like I'm
like in tears. I'm just so mad at myself and
like hours of driving total in Yes. So literally she
drove us back here, got my stuff, walked right in
the kitchen, grabbed my bag, got right back in the car,
(02:51):
and three hours back, literally nine hours in the car
to and from Michigan three times. First I was there
no other way, There was no other I was trying, like,
you know, my brain is like immediately problem solving, right,
So I'm going through like a Rolodex in my brain,
like okay, can I get a temporary prescription? Can I
log into another computer? Can I lead do this? And
(03:11):
I could not think of a way where all outcomes
could reach where it needed to be.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
So I was like, I got to there's no other
there's no other option besides the medicine.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I don't really think you needed much else my personal opinion,
like you would never but you couldn't had a dead
phone and a no lesson.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Oh yeah, no, I definitely could have.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
There was I just was planning to do a lot
of stuff from the lake House that I needed to do,
so I need.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Maybe it was maybe maybe they maybe the work gods
were like, no, it's okay, the boss doesn't need to
email you on Saturday night to make a PowerPoint presentation.
Like it's maybe that was the the you know, the
vacation god saying well, now he has no choice but
to relax.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, So like I brought the computer back do what
I need to do.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
But then I did make like a conscious effort to
disconnect like all day Saturday and didn't touch anything Sunday
until Sunday night.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I like was disconnected. So you know, I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
But I was like, wow, I am so dumb.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, if you know anything about Jason, he's not leaving it,
think Pad, honey, he won't La will leave.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Leaving it.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
So Jason, you man, Jason can't go anywhere with that
that two thousand and six think rely on.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
It's my biggest nomesis.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
But I.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, nine hours of driving, bro, I was.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
I was exhausted. Yeah, but you know, big up to
Mike's mom, p particularly, I bought her culverts on the
way back.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I was like, dinner's on me. What do you want?
She's like, I want cheesekirts. I'm like that, let's go. Yeah, yes, man, I.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Want to have taken you to a pawn shop and got
you a new computer. I would have taken you to
Target and got you into a cord and told you
I don't know what's up with the medicine, but you
will be a little nuts this weekend. So again I said, great,
nothing to cut water. Can't wait
