These are the radio blogs on the Fread Show, like we're.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Writing in our diaries, except we say them aloud. We
call them blogs. Jason Brown, Yes, you got one go
I do dear blogs. So something very interesting happened last
night at dinner. So Mike and I went out to
dinner with his parents and got some pizza. And I
don't know how this has evolved into my current role,
but I am the table captain, and I don't know

(00:57):
if anyone can relate to this. So like if anyone
needs to talk to the waiter, it's me, right, you know,
more than one person can do that.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I know, but I've been like the tribunal council, you
know they used to do on Survivor.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I have been voted to now.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So like if I wanted a refilm or something, I say, Jason,
like a refill and then you have to tell the waiter.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Well, like if the waiter walks up, I'm always one.
It's like, oh we're good, or oh can we have
this or oh whatever? Right, But then last night like
went to a new level because now I'm ordering for everyone. Like,
so Mike's mom and I got one pizza because we
like one, you know, certain toppings, and Mike and his
dad's but another. So I had to remember like everyone's
toppings what they wanted on their pizza and be like, oh,

(01:40):
well they want pepperoni, sausage, hot peppers, whatever, And we
want this, this and this, and then we're gonna get
an appetizer if this, this, this, and this, and when
it was a lot of pressure, and I was like,
how does how does one become the table captain?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I mean, you're you, You're the most trusted. Obviously, it's right,
I know it really is. You're the one they trust
to get this right. But if only they had mouths
and they could communicate to the person standing right there
what they wanted. Why do you have to do that
while they sit there? And then I love if you
got it wrong, they correct you. They'd be like no, no, no, no, no,

(02:13):
it's just tell me Parson, who's going to bring.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
It to us?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I know, but I it took me back to my
survery days where I had to remember a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
I did it, and all of it came out correctly.
It's not surprised by this at all.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
This is the most jacent thing ever, Like we look
at you everywhere you go, this happens to you. But
did you Okay, but eating to her point, did they
nominate you this or did you make yourself this? Because
you know, you have been known to say this is
not to my standard and then just take over. So
maybe what you're saying is this screw up here, your

(02:48):
ordering process is not quite to my standard. So I'm
just going to go ahead and handle this because you
people clearly can't.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
No, I think there was a level of me taking
it on myself. But then when the when the waiters
showed up, Mike like looked at me like, oh okay,
like you have this. I was like all right, let
me like okay, like, let me like scramble and figure
this out.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Well, all you have to do is screw it up
like once or twice, and then it will be talking
from you. Yeah. So like if you don't want to
be the table captain, then just be like, yeah he
wants to liver and onions and oh no I don't.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Oh then you order right, yeah, I mean it's nice
that his parents trust me to get their food, right.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
You are the trusted source they do like me.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Well, if you're there for the organizer, that you shouldn't
have to pay.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh girl, no, we do not pay.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
That's when we get Maybe that's my contribution because you know,
I'm never crapping that checkbook over there.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
You're carrying your weight by making sure that everyone that
you communicate on behalf of everyone.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Work for that meal. Yes, okay, all right, all right
now it's all making sense. I do my duty. You
know you'll reward me with free pizza
