Yeah, they talk better than they say. These are the
radio blogs on the Fred Show. Okay, it's like we're
writing in our diaries, except we send him alive. We
call him blogs. So we have we have time for today,
which we haven't in a long time. Who wants to
go first? Klin or Keiki?
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Hi? Kitlin's gonna go first? What you're gonna hear? Ladies first?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Want to hear about what you got? Okay, Caitlyn's going first.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Okay, thank you, my dear so dear blog.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I got a very funny call over the weekend from
one of my friends, my friend Ashley if you've been
listening for a long time, you may have heard me
speak about her. She has two daughters. She's an amazing mom.
Her daughter, Nora. I spoke about it for sure on
the air. She was born during COVID, so that was
a whole time, like meeting her with the mask on whatever.
I've watched her grow up anyways, so she is very
(01:22):
much a mother.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I am very much not a mother.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
But I got a call for parenting advice, which I thought, Wow,
I'm very flattered. Ashley called me up and she said, Hey,
how should I excuse me? How should I explain an
Aura to Nora my five year old daughter?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:43):
And you know she basically that was on Miss Rachel
or something like that.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
So it's that one.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
That was my first question. First of all, very on
brand that you would call me. Second of all, I
was like.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Why the hell are you two talking about auras?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Now she's very smart at five, but still, and she said,
we were playing this game and that's how it always starts,
and we were doing words that rhyme with Nora. Okay,
and she was like, by the way, she's five. This
is my entire day, all day, every day. It's her
asking what's that?
Speaker 3 (02:11):
What's this? And you have to try to like.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Make it kid friendly or explain it in a way
that they get it anyway.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
So this was my first shot, and you guys can
tell me how I did, I said, Nora.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
And aura is something that you cannot see, but it's
something that you can feel, like your feelings. So I said,
for example, when your mommy walks into the room, how
does that feel? Does it feel light, warm, exciting? Does
it make the room brighter? And she's also obsessed with
Spider Man, I said, And she's obsessed with the fact
that there's good guys who will always save the day.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
She's like because she gets scared. So I said, Nora
in Spider Man, when no, I did you know I
don't have AI.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Right off the top of your head, off the dome,
Off the dome.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
And I said, in Spider Man, when the bad guys
come into the room, how would that feel?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Dark?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Bad, scary?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
And so I said in aura is kind of a
feeling that you get from a person, and asked she
was like, Okay, that's better than what I would have done.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Thank you by But I was like, do you do
this to everything?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
And she's like literally everything I have to figure out
how to make kid friendly?
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Is that different?
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Would you give a different explanation of a vibe if
she was at if she asked you to explain what
a vibe was.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Let me think about that vibe? Yeah I would.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
I would say vibe is more like if you think
someone's like cool, like if they dress well, you know
you're a vibe.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Somebody's a fun time. Yeah, I probably would. I asked
her first, I said, well, does she know what a
soul is? Because I don't know what I'm working with
here in terms of my.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Examples are give me a baseline of what this this
chick understands.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
So I don't know if I did well or not,
but I was. I was honestly very flattered. And also,
like how on brand? What is an aura?
Speaker 1 (03:51):
We may have to ask the question later what did
your kid ask you?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
And I'm sure it's a lot of like adult type
stuff like you know when a man loves a woman
type stuff, but like what did your what did your
kid ask you that you had to explain on the fly,
because I don't know if like Polly or may have
asked me what an aura was, it would it would
take me a second to break it down in terms
that I think a five year old would understand, Like
that was pretty.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Good, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
You have to be careful, though, because I remember one
time on my drive to school, I asked my mom, like,
how do kids you know come here, like the very
classic question, and she said, well, you know, you're with
someone you love and then you just decide to have
a baby and then you do so for like my
whole childhood, I thought, you just decide and then the
baby pop like.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
I didn't know anything else.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
And so you have to be careful because you know,
these kids be spreading misinformation.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
You just you just decide, we've decided.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
And then then it's like I just pictured, you know,
a start comes.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
But because a lot of people didn't decide, and it
came anyway right right, You know a lot of people
like they broke up and then they got back together
one time, and.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Then it decided to come down.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, you know for that one time, and and yeah,
there are a lot of times where it's right, right
decisions sometimes right where it's decided for you, yeah, and
and not when you would wanted to be decided for you.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, that was good. I'm proud of you. Good job,
I'm very excellent work.
