Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tell me about. These are the radio blogs on the
Fred Show. It's like we're writing in our diaries, except
we say them aloud. We call them blogs. Kaylin's got one.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Go yes, dear blog. So it has been gosh, I'm
trying to think just under a year. I think that
I've been living with my boyfriend. Well, we moved September,
I think August September. Anyways, we've been living together for
under a year. And there's certainly things that you learn
(00:28):
along the way, and about each other and just about
living with someone of the opposite sex. And there is
this phenomenon that I've heard Jason speak about. I think
I've heard Kieky speak about where and I always thought, oh, well,
like that wouldn't be me, Like that wouldn't be me.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
It's me.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, So anytime Shane, my boyfriend, is coming home, and
I have already worked a full day, like I have
done a chores work whatever, I've gotten stuff done, but
I I will not let him see me lounging when
he gets home. I really, I start acting like I'm
(01:06):
like a housewife in the fifties and I gotta like
get up and like put something on, and I'm like,
you know, I look like I'm vacuuming. I work very hard,
Like I'm not insecure about how hard I work. But
for some reason, like I don't think that it's okay
for me to be chilling at like seven pm when
he comes home, I.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Feel like I gotta look busy. Humm.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
And I don't know why I'm turning into a housewife
in the fifties, don't you didn't you say you do that?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Jason, Yeah, I do it. You do this kicking im.
I want to hear. I want to hear. I'm just
surprised kick he doesn't. But yes, Jason. Mike actually called.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Me out on it the other day because like the
way our house is set up, if it's dark, you
could like see shadows. So like he like walked in
and I like jumped up and I was like folding laundry.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
He's like, I know you weren't. Just like I know
you weren't sitting here holding laundry, Like, yeah, I don't
know why, Like, well, I know why I do it,
because if he walks in, like working on the yard
or whatever, and I'm just like lounging on the bed,
I'll get.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
A It must be nice like that thing, and I
don't want to hear it.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
I want to hear his mouthful.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Oh look, I might understand, Like if it's house chores
and someone else is working around you and you're not
doing anything like that, I might understand. But you know,
for us, we get here between four and five ish,
and we're you know, by eleven, we've worked you know,
five six steps, but whatever it is, and we still
(02:28):
got more to do. But like, for the most part,
our day could be done by the time some people's
day even starts, or like the middle of the day,
So we would have every right to like lay around
the same way you would when you get home at
five or six o'clock, if you have that luxury, if
you don't have kids and whatever else. So I guess
I don't. I don't understand why you'd feel bad. The
only reason I would feel bad is if someone were
like cleaning the house around me, Like if i'm if
(02:50):
I'm you know, on the couch with my feet up,
and if I have someone living with me and you know,
she's running around mopping and cleaning and I'm just doing nothing,
that I might understand. But I don't feel bad when
my day's over. Your day has to continue because most
of the time when I leave your asses down asleep. Yeah, yeah,
I mean I didn't think I would either.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, we hit eight hours at one pm, and I'll,
you know, I'll continue working after the show. Then I'll
do some stuff around the house.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
So I don't know why I'm.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Jumping up and doing that, like as if I'm not
going to just go back right down, like to lounging
just second he gets home, you know what I mean, Like,
I'll stop what I'm doing and then I lounge and
he doesn't get mad at me over it, because that's normal.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
He got a lounge together. I did it a girl once,
so we would She worked from home at the time.
I actually it was COVID. I think she was unemployed.
But anyway, but I would come back from work at
like eleven, and I'm taking a nap and she I
remember one time she said to me, you know, you
could accomplish a lot more in your life if you
just didn't a nap, And I was like, yeah, because
when I left at four point thirty this morning, you
(03:48):
could have accomplished a lot more if you were up.
I don't know. Investing in the stock market in Japan
or so, I don't know. I don't say anything to
you when you get up an eight things you know
and like roll over and you know log in at nine.
Anything to you? Great girl? You know, don't try it right,
Sit this one out, go back to bed. Yeah, and
maybe I don't want to accomplish. Accomplish. This is the
