Speaker 1 (00:00):
Diaries exceptly saying him aloud, we call him blogs, and
now Rufio's here to tell us why he misses COVID.
Go take it away.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yeah what, thank you, dear blog. I do not miss COVID.
I do miss something from COVID. I miss social distancing
six feet apart. I mean, it's we live in a
crazy world right now. People like it's no one cares anymore.
Nobody cares about your personal space, bro saying good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
I know.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I'm just saying, like anywhere I go, especially I have
two kids, and like you wait in a line and
you go anywhere, it's they're right next to you, standing
next to you. They're all up in your space. They're coughing,
they're doing all I'm like, dude, like step back, step back?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Is that kid?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Like, I just want to go back to six feet
apart social distancing? You wait in the line. I went
to this event yesterday at Canteeny the state park over there.
They had the little preview of their holiday lights and stuff.
There's like, yeah, obviously there's like two thousand people there,
but it's just like they're all trying to in the
same line to get hot chocolate. People are nuts to
(01:07):
butts over here. I'm like, dude, just back up a
little bit, you know what I'm saying. And sometimes they've
got the stroller and they're on top, like like we
got the two seater strollers, so actions in the front,
they're like they're butts in actions face. I'm like, dude,
just beck up, like right, give me some space here.
It's just so annoying how people are just there's no
there's no there's no agree with that.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
There's no personal space anymore. Maybe it's just because I'm
a large human being. You know, I'm just what six
five to thirty five or something, But I uh, I
always I always feel like people I'm like a magnet
for human beings. Like if I'm out, like if I'm
waiting at a restaurant and there's like a little lobby area,
I will do everything in my power to get as
far away, yes, but then people will like gravitate. Like
I'll be like up against the wall trying to get
(01:50):
to keep distance from people because I don't want people
touching me, and then they get closer to me and
I'm like, why are you getting closer? I'm getting trying
to get further away. From you. Yes, that's there's all
this room in front of you. Step up, right. But
for whatever reason, it's like I always feel like I'm
in the way and I'm trying to get out of
the way. I just don't think anyone cares about people's
personal space. No one's paying attention driving on the road, right.
(02:11):
I don't think anyone cares about anybody else. No. I
think everyone is too in their own heads thinking about themselves,
and I don't think people are are being considerate. I
miss being able to get places that are far away
very quickly. COVID was nice for that. I mean, I'm
sorry about COVID, and no one liked it. It was
bad for a lot of reasons. But boy, could I
(02:31):
get across town quickly when I needed to because there
was nobody out. We were the only ones. We're the
only ones in the whole city coming to work.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
You're out more than you've ever been.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yes, well, I you were dating wid Yeah, I was.
I had hobbies and things.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
You know.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Well, I stopped.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Traveling travel and you were out there. You were out everywhere.
I agree, though, no one's outside except for me, you.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Know me. I went to China during COD went I
wanted to see where it all started. Ground zero. What
you said, I was out here, he said. You said
I was traveling. You're making it sound like but I was.
I wasn't traveling. You were in Mexico, and Mexico it started.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
You wanted to go.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I was like, you know, I think the world's going
to end. I'm going to let no you know where
I was supposed to be with Egypt and everybody, and
my parents were like, if you go, we're gonna be
like we'll never talk to you again. Like this, this
this COVID thing is for real. And I remember being like,
come on, you're gonna shut the world. Come on. And
then I came to work and said my mom my, mom,
will let me go to Egypt. And you guys gave
(03:49):
me the worst time. You called me every name in
the book I did, called the word. You guys just
wanted me to die, apparently because I didn't go, and
I had the time off, so I went somewhere closer
because again, like we didn't know this was really going
to happen. Yeah, so I went somewhere closer because I
had the time off already. And then it happened, and
I'm sitting there, going, how am I going to get back?
(04:11):
What's happening right now?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
You didn't go because your girlfriend was mad that you
were going without her, Well, that.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Was no, she was already that girl was already gone.
We had moved on already. I remember your mom was
just like, I'm gonna buy it. If you go.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I'm buying a ticket too.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
And if you get stuck, I will be there for
you with me.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
That's true. That's what she said. That's what she said, like,
I's very rare that my dad calls and has to intervene.
He used to have to do it when I was young,
and then went like, whoever's if my phone range? And
it's my dad going I need you not to do this.
That means I really don't need to do it. Like
that means like it really is bad if he has
to get involved. Yeah, and he called me.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Can your mom won't stop talking about this? Can you
just not go?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
That's exactly I was like, I just I need you
not to do this. I'm like, okay, fine, and I didn't,
but that would have been something.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
That was really wild of you. What trying to go
to Egypt in the middle of a pandemic, like it
was booked before I planned it. I planned the year before.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Who could have known, No, he planned it. And then
you are to stop with these rumors. Still that trip
set like you need to go, Yeah, yeah, I need
to go, but it's like I got to figure it out.
But yeah, I just paid for it. I just need
to like find ten days to go to Egypt.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
To quarantine and been like a pharaoh by the time
you got.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Back, right, Like I'm an Egyptian now, actually I mean
Egypt now. I haven't been home in four years. So
it's we've made it sound completely sailing more fresh show
next
