These are the radio blogs on the Fred Show, like
we're running in our diaries, except we say to them aloud.
As soon as this happened yesterday, I was like, I'm
I'm this is going on the on the program to
your blog? Who made you? Who made you? The god
or the goddess of the pool? I am at the

pool yesterday and I don't have a I don't have
a pool. I have a I don't have a pool
where I live, not an outdoor pool, and I want
to go to it was nice day. I want to
go to outdoor.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Pool to swim there.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Remember I swim. You did swim an indoor pool. It's
more for like exercise something. I don't know. I don't
want that. So my friends outdoor pool. She said, you
want to come over with outdoor pool? I said sure.
So it's like a big high rise building and there's
you know, let's say, a little vibey out there, and
we're there and there's like a little music in the
background right when we show up. I don't know if
that was like the apartment complex had a little vibe

thing going, or like they pumped something in or whatever.
But then all of a sudden, this group of folks
come out and out comes a wireless speaker and at
a much higher level than the the I don't know
if somebody else was already playing music or if it
was the apartment music, I don't know, but there was music.
And then somebody came out there and decided, I'm going
to turn mine up five times higher. And the whole pool,

now was that person made themself responsible for the vibe,
and the playlist was was just all off? And who
what kind of balls that you have to have to
come to the pool and decide my music is the
music everybody out here, one hundred people have to listen to.
First of all, it was way too much justin Timberlake. Oh,

way too much Maroon five. There was Black Eyed Peas
in there, anywhere near enough current songs the nineties R
and B was way far reaching. Like I even I
had a hard time identifying with some of it. I mean,
this was just all off. I'm like another justin Timberlake.
Saw every other song was justin Timberlake.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I apologize, Fred right, Who's dad was?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
That's what I mean though, And I just I'm just
like what I almost when I almost did was I
went into my bluetooth and I found the speaker, and
I almost hijacked it myself and then just took over
the speaker and then just started playing my own music.
And even the people they would have switched it bad,
but then they would have at least known that there
were there were dissenters in the mix. I think I

would have done everybody this pool of favor because it
was just bad. There were dissenters in.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
But probably no one ever tells this man or person
that it's bad, so he thinks it's good, you know
what I'm saying. Like it means it's no one either
wants to say anything to him, or he's just the
person that will have confrontation if you do say something
to it.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I mean, as an as an entertainment professional, I will
say it was it was. It was like a bad
grocery store casino playlist like it was. It was like
nothing offensive, you know, like nobody could be like, man,
that's you know those words, those lyrics. It was very
like it was very like you know, gem pop. Yeah,
I mean, it would be hard for anyone to get

upset about the selections. But at the same time, it's like,
who decided that you get to turn yours up louder
and that we all have to listen to this? Yeah,
no hurt my feelings.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
As an oxcord officionado, you can't. If you're playing to
a crowd of all kinds of different people. You need
to play more music that's like more background music, like
maybe a lighthouse remix to a song that everybody knows or.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Something that's what you know. I would have taken this
responsibility far more seriously.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
This is very serious.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Frankly, calin I found this behavior arrogant. Oh I found
it arrogant because.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
You're kindly enough to go, oh, my niche. My specific
taste is for everyone. And then I would say, hey,
if anyone wants me to throw a song on, let
me know if I'm going to do that.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Right, come on right. And as soon as I and
maybe it's just because of what we do, but as
soon as I took control of that bluetooth speaker, I
would have started thinking about everybody's We would have thrown
in some you known you would have went straight yeat
rocket because that would have been all about me. But
at this point, now I'm responsible for everybody's enjoyment. So

we would have had a little current. We would have
had a little you know, top line throwbacks that everybody knows.
We would have thrown in some country. We would have
thrown in some dance and we would have checked the vibe.
I would have looked measured and I would have seen, like,
what's the level of the enjoyment are people? Are they?
What are they responding to? They seem into it? Like

did people get in the pool that they get out
of the pool? Did people leave? Did they leave the pool?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Right?

Speaker 3 (04:40):
It's to My rule is two for them, one for me,
So like two songs everybody would enjoy and then one
that I think is a good song that people might
discover or like I just.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
As you get into pool season, if I'm on your boat,
I have to listen to your music. I'm on your boat.
If I'm at your pool, I have to listen to
your music. But if we are in a public set
that we share, then we need to be more responsible
than this.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, but you couldn't do anything that's not your pool,
that's not your place. It wasn't his either, this guy.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
No, it is a rental environment. We'd a shared environment.
And I was with a resident, but she I was
with her by proxy, so she was equally offended. So
I had every right as a guest of hers. She
had the same vote as that man on the ho
A board or whatever. I just want to say, I

found this behavior arrogant. I found it irresponsible. Yes, I
found it upsetting. And I want people to listen to
this show to be more thoughtful. Thank you.
