Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've never been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show, Evan, good morning, welcome to the show.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
How are you? I'm doing all right?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Okay, all right? So no, that's that's honest. That's honest.
That's I mean again, when the people are like I'm great,
you know, it's like anything I just had ghosted, like
howre you so great?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
But this guy is just distraught.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I'm distraught Evan as well because the last one that
we did, the last time we visited waiting by the phone,
it was a woman who performed CPR on a rat,
which I never really thought i'd see the day.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
So what do you have for me today?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Man?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Like, what do you do?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
What?

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Right?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
What on earth could you have done?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
And we've done this for long, over a decade, and
we've heard some things about, you know, people doing favors
to get babysitters and target drug parking lot deals and
and you know, people lying about being famous, and I
mean all kinds of stuff. But Evan, I don't know
what happened with this woman. Jen tell us kind of
the backstory.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I definitely don't have any roadent
mouth the mouth or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
But okay, we're off to a great start. Yeah yeah, yeah,
so at least got that. I.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Uh so, I met Jen on the apps, and uh,
I invited her to grow grab some drinks, and I
thought we hit it off. We're talking flirting a little bit,
you know, the.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Rapport is there, like it's it's good, and I thought
we had a good time.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Thought we had fun.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I tried reaching out to her and she was just
cold and then eventually go city. So I just want
to know what's up, like, what's what's going on? I
hope it's not too boring, but you know, it's just
kind of no boys.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Okay, bing's okay, if we walked past all the rats
on the streets, we're off to a good start here.
So let's uh, let's I'm gonna play a song and
come back in a couple of minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
We'll call Jen.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
You'll be on the phone, and we're gonna see if
we can reach here and and ask some questions for you.
And at some point you're welcome to jumping on the
call after we get you some info. And the hope
here is that we can straighten this out and set
you guys up on another day, which we have done
not very many times, but we have, we have managed
to do it. We'd love to do it for you today,
and you know, hopefully things work out. So can you
hang on for a second. Yeah, of course, Let's see

(02:15):
what's going on. Bonus brand new waiting metaphone next after
Shaboozie back in two minutes on the Fred Show.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Saboozie.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's the French show on the radio and the iHeart
app Andy time search for a Fred show on demand? Hey, Eaven, Yeah,
let's call Jen. You guys met and went out. You
thought you had a great date, except you have not
heard from Jen since then. I guess you did a
little bit you said, but then it faded away, so
she kind of breadcrumbed you and then faded away. And
now you you don't know what's going on. You haven't

(02:45):
heard from her at all. You want to know why?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, I mean, I mean, it'd be awesome if we
could go out again. But more than anything, I mean,
I just really want to know what's up.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, that happened.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
That makes sense. Well, let's call her right now. Good luck,
Evan awesome, Thanks, guys. Hello, Hi is this Jen?

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (03:06):
Yeah, he's this.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Hey, Gian, good morning. My name is Fred.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I'm going from the Fred's Show, the Morning radio Show,
and I have to tell you that we are on
the radio right now and I would need your permission
to continue with the call. Can which out for just
a minute. You can hang up anytime?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Oh okay, yeah, okay, Well, thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
We're calling on behalf of a guy named Evan who
reached out to us and told us that he had
met you on one of the abs and that he
thought you had a good date going for drinks and
stuff and he thought things were maybe going to go someplace,
but says, you've kind of faded away and now you're
mia and he doesn't know what's going on. He feels
like he's being ghosted. What's going on?

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Jen?

Speaker 6 (03:44):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (03:44):
Yeah? So yeah, And then I went out and he
was great actually, and I liked him. I actually like
him now.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Even still, but I just really can't get over this
one thing.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
What is the one thing?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Well, I'm not sure if he told you, guys, but
so after our date, we went back to his place
to hang out, and when we got there, I saw
that he had a dog. It was actually a huge dog,
a Rotwiler a huge rotwiler. Okay, and yeah, unfortunately, when

(04:22):
I was little, I got attacked by a dog and
ever since, I have been absolutely just terrified of dogs,
like all dogs. I cannot be around them. I don't
want to be around them, and so this is just
non negotiable for me. And you know, during the date
when we were at his place, I tried to hide
it and be cool and.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
Everything, but I was really like just absolutely terrified the
whole time.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
I was really terrified. And yeah, yeah, throughout.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
The night, the dog was like jumping on me and
barking and at one point even nipped that me when
I tried to walk to the bathroom, and it was yeah,
it was really really bad, really scary.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
For me, and yeah, I just wouldn't be able to
do it again.

Speaker 7 (05:11):
I mean I didn't want.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
To make a big scene about it, but I really.

Speaker 7 (05:15):
Can absolutely never date someone who has a dog. And
I really can't ask someone to change their life like that,
you know, give up their pets.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, right, like on a first date, you can't be like, hey,
that dog's you gotta go.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
I mean that's not happening obviously exactly. And I'm sorry
that you had that experience didn't do that. But let
me bring Evan in because I've had to mention that
Evan is here. And I feel bad about this, Evan
because now you're hearing that your dog scared her and
you had no way of knowing that. But Jen, why
not just say to him? Why not just tell him this?
Like you're not asking him to get rid of the dog.

(05:50):
You simply would just communicate with.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Him like, hey, look, this isn't going to work out
because I'm definitely afraid of big dogs and and I
don't think that's going to change.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
Yeah, I just felt bad about saying something like that.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
So but you don't feel bad. I don't mean to
say you.

Speaker 7 (06:04):
But that fizzled out. I just I thought it would
be better if things fizzled out.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Wait, you don't feel bad about ghosting him though? And Evan,
I mean, do you want to say anything about this?
I mean, hey, what's up? Jen? I? Well, look, I.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Had no idea, and I look, I would have I
would have I can put him away, and I would
put him I wouldn't put him away if I knew
if you would have just told me, yeah, but you're
not gonna be.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Put him away forever, Like I.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Mean, you obviously love your I hope you love your dog.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
And your dog's not going anywhere. No, my dog's not
going anywhere. I love him.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
But like at the same time too, like you know,
like I would assume over time you could get to
know he.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
He's a sweet dog.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I mean, if you if you get to know him,
I mean, even if you don't know me. He's never
faked anyone or anything like that. And I would just
assume over time you know.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Well, and I know, h none of us are professionals.
I know that he's not. I'm not.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
But like, would you can if you liked him, would
you consider maybe like easing into it, like you know,
maybe go to a park and hang out with him,
and hang out with the dog and see if you know,
in a more open space you feel comfortable and maybe
the dog becomes comfortable with you and it could help
you with your fear. I hate to see this if
you like him, I hate to see this go poorly

(07:20):
because of it.

Speaker 7 (07:22):
No, I unfortunately, I really can't do that because, like
I said, I'm just absolutely terrified of dogs, have been
for pretty much my whole life, ever since I was
little and was it.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Talked by one like it. So just there's just no
way this is going to work.

Speaker 7 (07:37):
And even it's like on the dates, Evan, if you
if you put him away, like it would not have
made a difference. I mean just knowing that the dog
was in the house would have made me like really
scared and really nervous. Anyway, So all right, wellyeah, unfortunately,
there's just absolutely no way that this can work.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
That's too bad. I'm sure this is true. Like I
couldn't date a woman who had a cat. I like cats,
I'm allergic to them. Like, and there's no you can barely.
You can't like permanently decat a house, like you know,
get all the hair and everything else.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
You can't. It can't be done.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
And I love them, but like, I don't know that
I could live with someone or stay in their house
all the time.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
So I understand what you're saying.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
For you.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
For me, it's like a health thing. For you, it's
a you know, it's fear and hey have it. I'm sorry, man,
it's not going to work out.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah, you want something to listen, I guess, yeah, I guess.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
So I love rock Will's You got a good you
got a cool ass dog, So you know what, it's
all good. And Jen, I'm sorry talking to work for you,
and I'm sorry like your trauma, but I wish you
the best of much.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Thank you for your time, Oh thank you.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
The Entertainer Report with Caleb's up next. In two minutes,
