Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's the Fred Show. How you doing, Michael, Oh, I'm
pretty darn good.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I have a little issue I need your guys help with.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Right right, So it's about data. I have your email here.
You met on a dating app, You went out for dinner.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
What happened? Tell us about the date and where you
guys stand.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I mean the date itself I thought was great. We
I mean we went to a place for you to
get the drinks. They had really good music, awesome food,
and I honestly I thought she was having fun. And
I'm super attracted to her and I hope to see
her again, but I have heard nothing from her, Like
I think it's been about a week. I checked it

(00:42):
and called her and now I feel like kind of
pushing it too much. But it's drive me crazy because
she's super hot and I don't know what I did.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
This guy, Michael wants to know what happened, why he's
been ghosted after her first eight that he thought went
really well. They all think it went really well until
we get to this phase.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Hello, Hi, Dana, Oh, Yes, good morning. My name is Fred.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I'm calling from the Friend Show in the morning radio
show and I'm sorry to bother it, but I do
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now and I would need your permission to continue
with the call.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Said, okay, if we chat for just a little bit. Okay, yeah,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
And again I'm sorry to intrude, but we're calling on
behalf of a guy named Michael who reached out to us.
Do you remember meeting Michael through a dating app? You
guys went on a date. Yeah, okay, Well he's curious why,
you know, after the date, he's reached out a couple
of times. He says, you haven't responded at all. He
liked you, he was attracted to you, he thought the
day was successful, and he wants to see you again.

(01:37):
You haven't responded. So where we come in. We're trying
to kind of figure out why.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Okay, So he.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Seriously can't figure out why I wouldn't go out with
him again.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
He seriously cannot figure this out. Apparently, what happened?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
He seemed like a really normal guy, really wonderful. We've
chatted for a while, we talked on the phone, but
his idea of a really great night was taking me
to a strip club for dinner.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
He took you to a strip club.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, so this was like after dinner he thought like, hey,
let's go have a good time at the strip club.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
No, the dinner was at the strip club.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Is the venue that he chose.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Yes, he chose a strip club, which I thought was
a joke at first and then slowly realized he was
very serious and his idea have a great date.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Hold on, let me just Michael's here, Dana. I'm sorry
I forgot to mention Michael's on the phone. Michael, Dana,
you know each other, Michael. Strip club.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
It's I mean, yeah, part of it is a strip club,
but they have like the best music and strip star foods.
I mean we had lobster. Like listen to good music
or just a good.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's a strip club, dude, I thought, so, can't be serious.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
You thought that because they have five four that you
say four star food and because they have lobster, and
because they play good music, you thought that that was okay,
and that sort of negated the fact that there were
half naked women dancing around on a day that your
line of things.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
I mean, honestly, data like I thought you were having
a good time. This is like I mean it's just
I mean, I'm the whole day. It was super expensive
because I'm not even counting my left dead tell me,
like draft that's cash on a first date, like I

(03:29):
was trying to show you though, I.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Like, oh wow, you know this is a reflection on you.
I mean, look, I have no problem with with strip clubs.
I don't go to them. I mean really, but so
maybe after you guys are dating for a while, you're
like having a good time, You're like, oh that you know,
let's go party and you go to this place. Fine,
if that's what you're into. But on a first date,
you don't see how that's a reflection on you. Michael.
You don't see how that maybe isn't putting the best

(03:51):
foot forward.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I honestly thought I was putting the best foot forward
because that place is not cheap, and I thought you
were having anywhere anywhere you want to go in the
city that I can get a reservation, I am happy
to take you. Like now that I understand that's not
your idea of fun, I honestly thought you were having
a good time.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
If you if you have to have someone tell you
that's not a good idea for a date, like there's
honestly never going to be a possibility between the two
of us.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Okay, I just tell you that a week ago, Dana.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I'm sorry to bother and good luck to you with
dating absord or whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Michael.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
I maybe you'll find somebody who that they think that's
a great first date idea, And if so, then I
hope you have a ring in your pocket you should
propost to them, because I think most people are probably
not going to tell you that the first date is
grounds for that kind of place.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Well, if that person's listening to the show, like let
me know

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
